The Meadville RB unofficially ran for 720 yards & 10 TDs while the DuBois QB unofficially threw for 782 yards which would be a national HS record.

How big are these two schools, out of curiosity? I don't imagine that a couple of larger schools would be putting up these kinds of numbers against each other, but you never know, I guess.

Is there some silly backstory behind that result? Something like the teams only allow their players to play 1 way, so all the talent on both sides was stacked on offense? League doesn't allow tackling? That seems like a result two friends would have in a game of NCAAF where they take turns playing offense against each other on rookie

Looks like DuBois is AAAA (largest division in PA) while Meadville is AAA. The school districts themselves are large and in more rural areas of the state though.

Yeah, I have no idea. Doing some digging online and Meadville is now 2-0 having won their 1st game by 28-7 while DuBois is now 1-1 having won their 1st game 51-41. My best guess is that Meadville has a bad pass defense and their 1st opponent had a run-heavy offense while DuBois just has a very bad defense.

I still do it all the time to sports games when it feels like a bunch of cheap junk keeps going against me, to the point of suspicion, then if I overcome the nonsense and win anyway I rub it in

When a guy picks an opponent he knows without a shadow of a doubt that he's gonna beat just to maintain his unbeaten record, then consider me uninterested.

Not to mention the longform article that came out about him cheating.
