Co-worker I hate finally got fired. I'd normally feel guilty about celebrating someone losing their job, but this girl sucked. Had roughly 30 call offs in 18 months, and was out for nearly 3 months due to "extreme back pain". Played the system like a pro.

We have a guy like that. Luckily he's in the other group so doesn't affect my group directly but we are both report to the same manager. He used to "work" remote 4-5 days a week until they changed the rules that you lose your desk if you aren't at work at least 4 days a week. Was always "too sick" for team events. Currently on LOA for a medical issue... my ***. Only reason I want to keep him around is I'll use his pitiful *** as a reason for me to get a raise/promotion here at the end of the year. Hard to justify paying someone who doesn't work even when he's not on leave more than a team lead.

I pissed my supervisor off today for having different political views so he sent me home early. I guess that's a win for me.

My boss is always on the verge of apathy so it minimizes nearly all micromanagement.

The benefit of being a teacher is a lot of times I go a day maybe longer without even seeing my boss. Other then a few brief conversations in the office the most I've interacted with them this week was the AP observing in my room for like 5 minutes

I remember when 9/11 happened I was in the 8th grade math class when the teacher walked out of the room, came in without words, turned on the TV and we sat and watched the 2nd plane in pure silence.

I'll never forget that day nor the lives lost.

We had a 5-10min discussion about Tom Brady/Peyton and one kid goes "why are you using a hashtag" since I had used # to mean number and I just wanted to die laughing. It has its cool moments and then let me break something moments

Yes...his is a great story.
He gets the ultimate "atta boy"(and for those not aware....in the F.D.N.Y. you'd rather get an "atta boy" from your brothers...than a medal from downtown.)
