I just found out Colorado is closer to Mexico than it is Canada. And its not even close.
Over 700 miles to Canada border and less than 440 miles to Mexican border.
Heck, even Denver is closer Mexico as its less than 640 miles FML

El Paso is closer to Los Angeles than it is to Houston.
The distance from Dallas to Houston is about the same as London to Paris.
It's a shorter drive from LA to Vegas than from Houston to New Orleans.

Along that note, another fun tidbit to know is that Reno is farther west than LA is.

I actually thought we were in OT and was joking about the previous random info posts about state tidbits, now that I realize it was in this thread I regret it. Wasn't trying to say I didn't realize michigan was shaped like a mitten lol

I think some were posted here already. But I read about some "hidden meanings" within sports logos. Ones are obvious like Brewers old logo being a glove formed by the letters m and b, and Falcons logo being the falcon forming the letter F, but some I found interesting:

-Bulls logo upside down looks like someone reading a book
-Twins logo has the word WIN underlined
-Eagles logo forms an E a the end of the head
-Capitals alternate logo has the bird wings forming the capitol building at its body
-Minnesota Wild logo has lots going on in it, all which leads to the outline being an animal head(I already knew it now,but for probably a decade I didn't)
-Mavs logo has an M on the horses forehead
