At least scuba really does mean self contained underwater breathing apparatus.

Not like one of the conventional posts I've been reading but it did take way to long for me to realize what I had done.

About 20 years ago, my wife and I went visiting a friend of hers down the shore. They lived in one of those housing complexes that resembles all of the units there. After awhile, I ran back to my car to retrieve some items that we had brought to the party. When I came back, I placed them on the their dining room table, entered the kitchen where I had left everyone congregating at the time. I sat down at the kitchen table with 2 people eating their dinner. Gasped, shook my head, and started apologizing. I had entered the wrong house....

Probably doesn't apply to many people here who haven't seen the show, but the actress who plays Young Riley in Girl Meets World is the same person in this commercial.

The character Joe Bruiser was based on Muhammad Ali in WCW vs nWo World Tour. As a teenager in the late 90s when WCW vs nWo World Tour came out, I never realized this.

That you can actually make the most of bad situations even if they upset you.

I've been doing it wrong my whole life, and nobody has ever corrected me..... Not online, emails, texts, work or in school.

Right, that's what I meant (like "eccentric").

Yeah, I hear expresso a lot. Or Febuary.

And also artic. The difference of 1 letter lol.

Just depends where people are from/how others talk too. Around here I know people don't emphasize their T's as much at times(so Toronto sounds like Torono), and me at least using Ds in place of Ts on a number of words(like latter, native, auto).

There's quizzes online that try guessing where you're from based on how you pronounce various words.

Where you live definately has a huge impact.

I actually work with someone who live in Toronto, OH and apparentely they pronounce it Tronto there.

My name is Kyle and I can tell when someone is born and bread in Pittsburgh because they pronounce my name as "Cow."
