Looking for a group interaction game apples to apples can be fun.

It's our go to for holidays.

Or Cards against Humanity is a good one for group interaction and is more mature than Apples to Apples.

        Depends on how many people.

Pandemic (and Pandemic Legacy) is fun, that's for 2-4 people.

Munchkin Apocalypse and those are really fun as well. Can't go wrong with Catan either.

My roommate use to have what he called a sheep dynasty. He would basically only hoard the sheep and trade off all his resources to just get sheep. Somehow he never won though.

I'd argue that CAH ends up being WAY less mature than AtA

Rook is my favorite four-player card game. It's actually 2 vs. 2, or at least that's the only system I've played. There are other formats, but they don't seem quite as fun.

Keep in mind it is its own set of cards like UNO, not just a regular set of 52.
                Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60

Some of those cards are so ****ing funny. Great party game with adult friends - although I have played with my family which was hysterically awkward.

That's what I was meaning by mature. Like the ESRB rating for M games. Not the other meaning.

Rook is good when you have risk takers.

My family likes to play Rook but they only bet like 100 or something so there's barely any risk or motivation to win/upset the other team.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Cards Against Humanity at a family gathering, with the grandparents playing of course, is always a good time. If you're looking for a slightly less offensive version of CAH, Rotten Apples is the Apples to Apples equivalent.

Monikers is another great party game. Can't recommend that one highly enough.

Mexican Train is a fun domino game too.

You definitely need to have the right group of people. The game is not for the easily offended.

Carcassonne is always my recommendation. The wife (I can say that legally now!) and I play Labyrinth the card game when traveling or camping. Really simple and small enough to play on an airplane tray table.

There used to be a board game thread but it never got much traction and died a couple years ago.

Yeah, I won a round using cards about Pacman drinking something during an event at Virginia Tech. PG'd that for OS but if you've played the game you probably know what cards they were.
