Re: Off Topic: Señor Millennium - Prepare the Battlefield... For A Masacaaaah

This Pokemon Go craze is something else. Literally everywhere I want over the weekend there were people of all ages playing. Complete strangers talking about playing the game. I have never seen anything like it.

I greatly underestimated the power of the Pokemon. Never realized the reach the game has.

More importantly, Nintendo''s stock just about doubled since Wednesday.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

People finding dead bodies and getting robbed because of it too.

Glad I never caught the bug.

And the audience / demograph it's reaching is amazing.

My wife plays it, my daughter plays it, hell even I installed it on my phone.

Like you said, going in public places and you can tell who is and it seems like a lot of people.

Man, I never thought Pokemon would reach it's peak again like it did in the late 90s/early 00s.

Certainly an interesting way to get people off their *** though

I refuse to join the obsession. It's just too insane. Knowing me, if I started to play, I wouldn't be able to stop.

I work in EMS and I just heard a story of someone staring at their phone, not paying attention to their surroundings, and falling down a flight of stairs and suffering a compound fracture to their leg.

It's hilarious looking at people from afar. It's like the preamble to the zombie apocalypse.

Does not shock me. I watched a girl walk into a door someone was opening when a person was leaving a Chipotle. Due to her walking slow, glued to her phone, towards the doors.

And the two dudes with the girl, had the nerve to try and beef with the person who opened the door and accidently hit her ignorant ***.

Luckily, that person did not back down to the two of them, and said, "Pay attention to the entrance you are walking towards, and not the ****ing phone."

Where as otherwise he would have apologized if they did not try and act like they were in the right. Also, since when do people not wait for people to exit a bus/store, before barging into the same door? Common courtesies lost.

People man. Getting worse and worse for not wanting to take self responsibility.

It's hitting at the exact right time. 90s nostalgia is at an all time high and they didn't add the new Pokemon that people in their 20s wouldn't know.

Blink-182 has the #1 album in the world and everyone is playing Pokemon. I'm gonna go invest in slap bracelets.

Yeah I mean +44 was Hoppus and Barker plus others, but I guess Blink-182 offered a LOT more name recognition. Easy choice to go that route then revive +44.

I'm still shocked that they reached the top of the charts. Didn't think music like that could still do it, leave it to the stereotype of the genre to make it happen again.
