I don't even understand random statements like this. It makes no sense whatsoever to me. Wtf does "too far gone" mean?

We have gone through much worse than this in our country and we will prevail again IMO. All we need is that one leader to step up and unite us all.

There is too much hatred and division amongst the people of this country for it to come together as one nation again.

That leader doesn't exist amongst our current choices.

Why is it up to one person to do that? Shouldn't we ALL be finding common ground among these issues that continue to plague us? We can't make any progress if we're waiting for a Hero politician to come in and save everything.

I agree with you, but I am not talking about a hero politician. I am just talking about that one person who can create that spark that gets other started. Just like hate, unity and a movement towards making this world a better place all starts with just that one person. It will definitely but up to all of us though

It doesn't start with one person, but one person can be the face of it.

I damn near broke down watching the videos. I tried not to because I knew what I would be seeing would be terrible, but I also had to see it to feel it, ya know? This goes for the past few days worth of footage of violence.

Both sides are hurting. Nobody is winning. Change the game plan.

This isn't true at all, but you wouldn't know that from the way the media constantly pushes fear/division and trains us to believe that the extreme views on each issue is what the majority of people support.

I don't know what you classify as too much, but the demonstrations, the killings, the hatred, and the violence that you see in the national news and local news classifies as too much for me.

I know how the news media works, but that doesn't excuse the violence and division amongst the people that is/has taking/taken place. There is too much hatred, violence, and division in this country, and not all of it makes national news.

Honestly, it's probably best we stray from this conversation. Emotions are too high, especially after the events of the last few days.

                            As everyone should.

The situation as a whole sucks, but this is not the place for it. Move along.
