I'm pretty meh on hotdogs, but daaaaaaamnnnn that looks good.

New Orleans is definitely on the list of places I want to check out. Nashville has been on my mind lately for some reason too.
    NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
    NFL - Buffalo Bills
    MLB - Cincinnati Reds

I can't wait for the golf season to start. My country club opens mid April. I'm so ready.

Unfortunately its one of those stories that are just videos which is a MAJOR gear grinder of mine, but that's for another thread. But of course the Canada jab made me think of this thread.

But really, you can throw a dart and have it land on a place that has outstanding seafood. If you don't feel like seafood, go to Phil's Grill where you can build your own burger. And when I mean "build your own burger", I mean "bison meat if you feel like ballin'". The inverse of that is The Camellia Grill in Carrolton, which is one of my favorite places in the world because not only is it the best greasy diner burgers and shakes can get, driving through Carrolton towards the levee when the sun is out is one of my favorite things to do.

Speak of Louisiana culture and food, this finally made it's comeback in Lafayette. Those prices are crazy high, last weekend I got 5 pound for $23 and I balked at that initially.

Had my first Elk burger last night at this local joint called the Hunt Club. Was actually pretty amazing and came with quail eggs and bacon.

So tired of my current job. I currently work doing dispatch in a call center. I'm working a 1:30-12am shift currently. So last week, they tell me that I'm gonna start working 1-10, 5 days a week. Days later, they retract that saying well now you can work 1-9:30 in the office then 10-12 from home, which still sucks anyway. Now, I get an email saying they're changing that now too and that we aren't changing a damn thing. Ready to leave this place.

It just dawned on me that when I look at people in the face, be it in conversation or watching a movie, I am drawn to their right eye.

I know the general rule of thumb is to get somewhere within the triangle of their two eyes and the bridge of their nose, but I made a conscious awareness of the fact that their right eye is what I fixate on.

Next time you talk face-to-face with somebody, pay attention to where you look at them, and report back.

We went to Crawfish time last weekend and its was $31 for 5 pounds. Stupid high, but thats because lent is in effect, Crawdad prices always go up.

Last night we went to Bon Temps on Verot and the food + prices were amazing. I got something I've never had before and living here all my life its pretty surprising. http://bontempsgrill.com/

A bed of jalapeno corn grits, topped with a Swordfish steak, topped with creole butter, then on top it all.........get this.....fried soft shell crawfish(2). I've had soft shell crab but this was the first time and only time I've ever seen soft shell crawfish. It was all fantastic!

I like to make eye contact to indicate I'm paying attention and be professional (even in casual settings), but I think I give off an awkward/uncomfortable vibe. I mean, you can't stare at someone's face the whole time they're talking. But the Internet has shown that a lot of people consider themselves to be awkward so I've grown more comfortable in my own skin. And just growing up and accepting your flaws or whatever. To quote TO, "I love me some me." But in a not as arrogant way. Ha.

LOL it's easier to look at people when listening than talking, because when talking I have to look into blankness so I can conjure my thoughts on what I'm saying. I stare at a classroom full of high schoolers all day, though... so I'm always making conversation.

I just mean that when you look at somebody, heck even a picture, decide whether you tend to center your focus on one particular part of their face more often than anything else. For me, as I mentioned, it seems to be their right eye. Kind of strange.

The Bulldog Bar & Grill is only a few doors down and should have just about every beer you can think of.

District Donuts Sliders Brew is also on Magazine and is phenomal from what I've heard.... I've never been because I always eat at DatDog and get too stuffed.

Damnnnnn that all looks good. I had seen Bulldog Bar recommended at a few places, so I think we are going to head there when our flight lands tonight.

So can you really walk anywhere on the street with alcohol? I probably wouldn't want too that much other than getting a touristy drink in a souvenir cup, but it would be cool if I haven't finished a beer yet and can get it poured into a to-go cup.

I try to look people and animals in the eye as much as possible. I want to beat them down without saying or doing anything - just make them submit into looking away and give me power over them.

Oh my heavens what an exhausting week.

Scott...you were saying you dislike your job. I'm with you on my side too. My entire day is always filled with ad-hoc requests that ask for it today but wanted it yesterday (y'know, since I'm Marty McFly).

What gets me most is the people that choose not to learn how to be self-sustaining. Here's an example:

Mrs. PaintedOnEyebrow; "Hey, can you send me this? I need it by 2pm"
Me: "I have other priorities that are time sensitive. Actually, you can pull this using [this] transaction."
Her: "Well...if you can just send me the report before you leave today, that'll be ok. Thanks."
