Signing off until the storm passes. I'm in Port Saint Lucie, so I should see the brunt of it. Am here with my family, we battered down the hatches, have supplies. I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't scared ****less. My neighborhood is staying, but my horrible anxiety is kicking in with this. In my grandfathers house that has survived Jeanne, Frances, Wilma and storms before it after the losses in my family. I hope to talk and see you guys after the storm, god willing. All other Florida OS users, please stay safe, I will pray for you and your families as well as mine.

Praying for all of those in the path of the storm. Please be safe.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

 Re: Hurricane Matthew

USF in Tampa seem to be getting the light end of the hurricane. So that's good for where I'm at. But my friends and family at UCF in Orlando and in Miami are gonna get hit hard.

Pray that those on the east coast of Florida stay safe.Bucs, Lighting, Rays,Comment

 Re: Hurricane Matthew

We are staying in Orlando. Getting to a new hotel tomorrow morning about 3 miles from where we are now. We only have this place till tomorrow. But I think the new hotel is more structurally sound.

What a time to pick a vacation to Florida.

 Re: Hurricane Matthew

Matthew is intensifying again...back up to Cat 4 with 140mph winds and will probably be higher in the next 12 hrs. The eye of Matthew never went over land in the Bahamas and started picking up steam again. Local curfew in effect @ 5PM...all the theme parks will be closed then and not open tomorrow. Was out doing some errands earlier and many gas stations are either packed with cars or totally out of gas. Rained all morning, but now sunny and humid. Max winds for us should get here after midnight then throughout the morning tomorrow. My area won't get the brunt of the storm that the coast will get, but we'll likely have 50+mph winds around here.XBL & PSN: zasbury25Comment

Power will likely stay on throughout the evening...the brunt of the storm will probably be felt well after midnight for metro Orlando.XBL & PSN: zasbury25Comment

 Re: Hurricane Matthew

After a few minor ones I was starting to get used to these storms in Florida but this hurricane looks like the real deal. The comparisons to Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Katrina are terrifying, as are the statements from officials saying if you don't leave "you will die". Lots of people here in my county just north of Jacksonville are evacuating. My friends, who I trust, insist its gonna be fine so I'm sticking with them during the storm. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared. Depending on how the storm moves, it could barely hit us or it could mean absolute devastation. We will probably lose power for a few days or longer even, so I may not have the means to let people know I'm ok until its over. Please put everyone here in Florida in your thoughts. Hopefully everyone will be safe. I guess I picked the wrong year to move to Florida.Comment

Bro, no matter how much you trust your friends, put the safety of your family and yours above all else.
