That's good. I only use my credit card for paying my car insurance, unless there's something else once in a while. It goes out of my account on the last day automatically. I only have 1 credit card, and so does my wife. Not going to change it any time soon.

Having both open revolving credit and installment debt helps credit and you and your wife are using it wisely.

I'm not trying to talk Speedy or anyone into getting a credit card but having open revolving debt can be very beneficial to your overall score. They are also nice to have for when you book hotel rooms, rental cars or things of that nature because they can take more as an authorized amount than what the final bill will actually be and can block you from your checking account.

Myself personally, I have only one card for just that reason and use it the same way you do but it's mostly for credit purposes and the ideal way is to view it specifically as money coming out right away. I use mine pretty much strictly for my everyday parking for work and occasionally for lunch and nothing else. It's also on auto pay (for the full balance) so I pay no interest and when it's reported it's reported as the full credit line being available which is what helps overall score.

My brother-in-law keeps trying to get me into doing that. Pay some of my bills with a credit card and at the end of the month when you get the statement, pay it off. Do you have reward/type cards to get the added benefits of "purchases"?

Yea, there are a lot of those perks as well. I personally use mine strictly for credit purposes and don't really get caught up in the points/perks, etc, but they do exist.

I guess basically my main point is that having one, two, or three credit cards isn't harmful in any way if they are all paid in full monthly. There is a bit of misconstrued information passed around on that.

Carrying balances on multiple cards is what can be harmful to a score.

Welp, I need something to do now for the next 20 hours or so while my PS4 downloads Show '17. Can't use the system during that time or I'll slow down the download and make it take even longer. Such is life with a 10 mbps connection these days.

What a great day! Left work at about 11, went to the park for a walk, then met my wife for a bit, then went to buy a gift for my buddy (birthday), then came back to work as if nothing had happened. Then later on took a long lunch break...

I think out of the 8.5 hours of work, I actually did work for about 2.5 hours. Now that's the life! Might go out for grocery shopping on Thursday so I won't have to do it after work. It's amazing what you can do when you don't care. I don't understand what took me so long.

And I have been using George's "looking annoyed" tactic for a while now. Every time my supervisor walks in (and I'm browsing the internet) I pretend to be upset about something. Works like a charm!
