    Re: Christmas 2017

I stay winning the holidays this year. So yeah Christmas was canceled because of the storm. My sister in law came over yesterday whining and complaining, bumping her mouth talking about she know how to drive in snow and that we weren't going to get any snow. I was just standing there looking at her like where you been living at the past several days ? They been talking about this snow storm since Wednesday up here. Everybody knew it was coming.

Low and behold this morning and afternoon we got 9 inches of snow. Sister in law got over a foot where she lives. But she was destined to prove she can drive in snow and ended up breaking her wrist slipping on her way to her car this morning in her drive way. On top of that, the roads are so bad, she can't get to the hospital and the hospital isn't putting any ambulances on the road unless it is a life or death situation.

When my wife told me that, I couldn't help but to laugh very loud and for a long time. I was like oh the sister who said I don't know what I am talking about and we aren't going to get any snow today ? The one who was bumping her mouth yesterday talking about she know how to drive in snow ? HAHAHA.......

    Anyway Merry Christmas OS......

My wife and mother-in-law made me an awesome gift. My wife took all my old band shirts that don't fit me anymore and made me a huge quilt out of it! My wife is so creative. I love it!

Good Christmas. Wife got me a switch with Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda and Sonic. A book by the NY Times with news paper prints of the history of the Yankees from buying Babe Ruth to Jeters 3000th hit. But there was one last box. Opened it to find this. Gonna be our first kid.

It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

My gifts consisted of a pack of socks, a tin of Quality Street candies and a Sony digital camera.

                Re: Christmas 2017

Everything really felt so rushed this year. Not even rushed like there was so much to do and not enough time, but rushed like there was so little to do, but it all just got put off towards the end. Even Christmas traditions just felt abit generic/forced in a way this year.

Hopefully next year has that special feeling back again. And even just in the next week or so, whatever I've been holding off on doing until after Christmas, I have to get on it, if I can remember what it was I put off to begin with lol.

Though gift wise this year, I feel kind of like Homer Simpson in the Christmas episode where he gets something completely unnecessary because of how cool it is. Funny that this is kind of ahead of it's time in the show compared to what we actually have today.

Went to the in laws for Christmas with them. It was a nice relaxed afternoon. I was exhausted and in a lot of pain, however it was awesome watching my daughter play with her cousins. My wife’s side of the family got me the Amazon Echo, a Bills toque and Logan in 4K. I was very surprised and extremely happy with the gifts. Again, I’m always extremely spoiled by them.

Unfortunately my son was sick on Christmas. He got up and saw what Santa brought him, but really wanted nothing to do with any of it. He climbed onto the couch and went to sleep and proceeded to sleep the majority of the day.

Really bummed as he is 2 and was really understanding the idea/concept of Christmas and Santa.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

That is a bummer especially when they are able to realize what is going on. Reminds me of a time when I was little and woke up Christmas Day with Chiken pox. I wanted nothing to do with the day.

Yeah, we left his stuff under the tree. When he's feeling better, we are going to re-do Christmas morning.

Poor little dude. I hope he feels better soon. In a few days, pump up the Christmas tunes and let him open his gifts.

Check out this crazy gift my sisters boyfriend got me for Christmas. It’s a mug made out of the barrel of a baseball bat. Love gifts like this. Personalized with a lot of thought put into it.

Well, I joined your little guy in the XMas day hurt-fest. I honestly get sick on at least 20-30% of Christmases, for whatever reason, and always have from the time I was a kid. I think it's 'cuz you go hard for basically the entire late summer through fall until winter with no breaks, and then when you finally get some time off, it's like my body says "okay, it's okay to get sick now....". Happens with regularity, though. And while it sucks, I guess it's better than having to take sick days or work through it....

Good health in the new year, everyone!
