Re: Christmas 2017
All my Christmas stuff, indoor and outdoor, has been taken down and packed away until next year.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

We haven't touched ours yet. Weather has not be cooperative and being down sick I haven't felt motivated to start taking down the indoor decor.

Thats a real thing brave!!! You are going strong for the month of December getting things ready for the holidays, with shopping, seeing lights, preparing, ect... and then January comes and its a dead stop.NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - St Louis Cardinals
NCAA Football - Michigan Wolverines
NCAA Basketball - UK WildcatsComment

Re: Christmas 2017
But it's normal to some extent - you spend the entire winter/end-of-year crescendo-ing to this happy, family together season when everyone is in a better-than-average mood, the TV has all these merry/happy things on, it's the end of the year, most people are off work, you start relaxing, and then....boom. Dead stop to the happy happy fun time and right back to the f'n sweatshop. They really have to find a way to taper these things...
I find that looking forward to longer days and the return of nicer weather generally gets me through. But also, there's probably a reason I do a lot more Netflix and gaming in the Jan-March timeframe than any other time of the year....Comment

Re: Christmas 2017
Post Christmas Blues SUCK. Some years...no problem, other years it is like breaking up with someone. That sick “punched in the gut feeling”. The months of build up and then it’s over. That’s why I try to stretch the season out to Epiphany. PCB’s can be hard to get over.
I recommend listening to some Christmas music or watching a Christmas movie. I like to PVR the burning log that has Christmas music and watch that for a bit. For me it helps. Go figure.
This season wasn’t too bad for PCB’s for me. I think it has to do with my daughter and the fact that she’s still singing Little Drummer Boy and that she wants to read Twas The Night Before Christmas before bed every night. Also, she makes me look forward to next Christmas because she will be a year older and even more excited. To add to that, I’m very excited to start golfing again, so thinking about that helps too.I am the lesson after the fall.Comment

LOL....I think I'm just in to not working and relaxing for an extended period of time, and it helps that the season is generally a festive one. Also, I hate working.Comment

Really feeling these blues too. As I always do. Even though January is filled with fun stuff, I can't help but long for the excitement that comes with the final 3 months of the calendar.Comment
