    re: Off-Topic

In today's edition of "I don't understand people", I got up today and found a basket of laundry on the balcony. I share a balcony with a couple other people, I know it belongs to the guy on the same floor as me. I'm figuring he dropped it there for a minute while he gathers other stuff.

Anyway, I don't really think much else of it, took my dog out, went to a couple stores, came back and the laundry basket is still on the balcony. The neighbor in question is a stomper, he stomps so hard my apartment shakes when he stomps up the balcony. So I hear him come up the steps and look out the window to see if he picks up his laundry. He did not.

He went back down with his dog and got into a car and drove off. Hours later, the laundry still on the balcony, he comes home, walks passed it again, and leaves it again. What's going on here? (and yes I have too much free time on my hands)

it's now almost 1am and it has been raining, he has come up and down the steps multiple times and leaves the basket of laundry there every time.

    What in the world?

thats a little known and mostly outdated Christmas tradition. Instead of cookies and milk, one leaves out their laundry for Saint Nick to take back to his little people, who in turn change the laundry into gifts, to be given back to where it came from, the next Christmas. Or at least thats how the legend goes. I'm highly suspicious and sceptical myself.

Too early for that, it must be a thanksgiving prank for Saint Turkey

Congratulations! When was the big day?

Ours was 10/20 and man it flew by, but we had a bunch of fun. Did you have a videographer put together the video or did you do that yourself?

September 15 man. Going on our honeymoon next week (Thailand). It definitely flew by. It was damn fun. I wouldn't go through the planning again lol. That was hell.

But yes I made the whole thing. I couldn't afford a videographer lol spent that money on all the booze and food lol.

And also Congrats to you and your new wife!

                            re: Off-Topic

So we just got new neighbors. A couple of older ladies lived next door to us for the first six years we've been in our house and basically the entire time we never heard a peep from them. It was so great. But unfortunately they just moved out.

Enter the new neighbors. Our house is literally probably 30 feet away from their's and so we basically can see and hear what they are doing. Well it's a young couple with four little kids and two dogs. We live in a nice and quiet neighborhood on a dead end street. It's been great living here the last six years.

They've been here for five days now and already it's been worse than the six years the two ladies were here.

So they tie up the dogs in the backyard on a tie out and they have a big German Sheppard and an average size mut. And their tie out is so long it lets the dogs into our driveway. So the dogs kept coming into our driveway, which, ok isn't the end of the world, but we have three dogs that are smaller and average size. So today I went to take my little/medium size dog out for the first time of the day and there is the mut IN OUR YARD and I put my dogs on a tie out when I take them out and just let them run down the stairs and go in the yard and I didn't see this dog at first. So then this dog runs up to my dog much faster than I can pull my dog back and starts attacking him.

Of course my dog wouldn't back down and now they are going at it and I had to step in the middle and pull my dog away. Luckily he was ok and I threw him inside and chased the other dog back into their yard. I was livid.

So we put a few things blocking the area where they could get through but at this point I knew I had to say something. Also just another thing, they leave their dogs outside for hours at a time and they constantly bark. My one dog barks when other dogs bark so as you can imagine this pisses me the F off.

So I went over there and told them what happened and they didn't even ask if my dog was ok. I asked them to either shorten their dogs tie out or move them to the other side of their house when they go out. The dude said he would do it. Never said sorry or asked how my dog was.

I knew from the get go these people were gonna be a problem. And also, this is really grinding my gears, they have no curtains on the windows. And being 30 feet away we can see inside their house perfectly clear. It's just very awkward.

Sorry for the lengthy post, just pissed off about this whole thing.

Hopefully, it gets better because few things are worse than annoying neighbors. Especially, with dogs involved.

Sounds similar to our neighbors except they don't even put their dog on a line when they let him out.

Plus, a couple of their friends have moved in around us, so there's a regular flow of people between houses. At times it really has the feel of a commune.
