First off, how do you know I haven't smoked weed in my whole life? I have smoked weed plenty of times. I just don't smoke it regularly. So don't assume.

I also think it should be legal. However I don't believe you should be smoking it around children. Same with cigarettes. That's just my opinion and we are gonna have to agree to disagree on that.

And I guess what I'm saying is. People do those things in front of their kids. It's their stuff. It's not some crazy drug. Like shooting up some heroin. I guess I'd give the guy a break.

Oh ok. I gotcha. Didn't mean to sound like a jerk. Just thought you were assuming I didn't smoke it because of what I said about it.

Anyway, We should probably end the weed discussion here since drugs aren't something we can really talk about here.

OK, I know I'm an odd person, and I've put that on display for OS, but I'm wondering if anyone else has ever had this emotion:

My car is getting taken to the scrap yard this coming Wednesday. I drove around today thinking "this is one of the last times we're gonna drive around together", and I legitimately got sad knowing that my car is on it's deathbed.

It's almost like spending a final week with a pet, knowing your loved one is going to the vet for the final time soon, except I'm talking about an inanimate object. This is excessive personification, I know.

Why do I feel bad for my car? lol, it's weird and I know it. Maybe I'm having flashbacks to the Brave Little Toaster scrapyard. (musty reference, not sure how many will get that one)

I'm odd, too. But when my car dies Its like a New Orleans funeral: I'm celebrating like its 1999. Yeah it used to be a good car but euthanasia long overdue and time to put her down. Glad to get a new one thats reliable.

I'm going to trade my car in in a couple of weeks. I think I'll feel okay, however if I knew it was going to be scrapped I would definitely weep some years. I've been with it for fourteen years. I want it to find a new home, not be crushed and scrapped.

I'll be very glad to have a new one though, which I'll be treating much better since it's brand new, a full investment on my end, and I simply know better/more now.

Who's ready for another installment of 'Majs Work Tales'?

Big argument between coworkers(not me, or relating to me) blew up leading to people being sent home and possibly fired. Aggressive behaviour, swearing, personal attacks etc.

I know I watch reality tv too much, but this reminds me of one of those iconic Big Brother styled blow ups where production gets involved too. I was basically the Homer Simpson in the bush meme. Trying to just slowly leave. Although in this instance, I got caught as an innocent bystander.

Sucks this happened, especially since I don't have a problem with anyone, and everyone involved I'm on good terms with. One person who might get fired I really liked and they seemed like a great/nice person who would've been a good friend. Maybe it's just hanging around the wrong crowd which led them down this path, but they could suffer same fate as their friend(who was the main aggressor in all this). Too bad they couldn't stay and that friend goes. Both sides would probably want me agreeing with them, but a fight like that, I don't know how those people can make up, regardless if they fake it or not. And if somehow they do, it'll be insanely awkward and tension filled for everyone else to be around there knowing those people are under the same roof.

I don't even know what things would be like if nobody gets fired. How do you even move past stuff like that? A suspension I could see short term until a resolution happens, although I feel like what happened does break typical company policies on workplace abuse and has grounds for termination.

Selfishly I want something to be done, so I don't have to be in a position to pick sides or feel the tension. Nobody is scheduled to work until I'm off(assuming no firings happens which forces me to have no days off) , so I'll miss everything. Have no idea what I'll be returning to.

Forget a job, I should write a book about all this stuff. Turn it into a workplace tv series lol. Seriously though, you can't make this stuff up.

When I built my house, I found that I must have built overtop of the spider motherload. It felt like I killed like 3 a day for 3 months straight. I've tried using Ortho Home Defense and other stuff and I've found a decent removal of spiders has been vinegar...I just doused the entry way to my garage and my basement door and haven't had an issue since.

However, I cannot keep beetles away. These stupid things are like insect tanks that can get thru any type of home defense I put down.

Really though:

It was basically one of those high school girl drama moments(although everyone involved are 18+). In this case, two girls don't get along and have had internal issues building for weeks, one of them reaches their breaking point and reports the other to their boss for slacking off and other things(taking days off for reasons which they made up, or taking extended breaks during the day, all of which were true). The one who got reported then gets her boyfriend(who also works with her and has had similar complaints about) to step in. He then gets into a long profanity filled verbal altercation with that other girl and very close to physical altercation(if not for others standing in the middle).

Bosses had to step in, basically "hiding" that one girl while they kicked out the other girl and her bf (others were threatening to walk out if those 2 didn't get kicked out). Although that didn't stop him from slipping away and trying to find out where she was. Eventually when leaving, they needed to be escorted out to make sure nothing happened in the parking lot (like not actually leaving, or going after her car)

And from what people have said, this guy has (self admittedly) been fired in the past for causing physical damage to personal property at a prior job, so he seems like a loose cannon.

The problem between those 2 girls probably could've been resolved, but what her BF said/did, that's clearly workplace abuse and not something which is tolerated.
