RIP Mo, we would always try to compare our college basketball teams ineptitude, try to see if reverse psychology would work on our teams, and he would make fun of me for choosing to become a Liverpool fan. I knew he was sick, but I thought he would beat it. What a great guy and I will miss him.

Re: RIP Mo...
This blows. Didn’t know him as well as some of you, but he was kind enough to let me screw around in Forza and FIFA parties on occasion and it was always a fun time.
Knew how to get under my skin with a Duke or City tweet, but it was all good natured and tongue-in-cheek. Gonna miss his Cubs tweets and occasionally shooting the **** about baseball. RIP my dude.Comment

Re: RIP Mo...
When I read this yesterday it was like a punch to the gut. Recently, I haven't been as active on here or on Twitter as I have been in the past, so I completely missed his Tweets last month so the news yesterday came as a complete shock.
I took a stroll down Twitter memory lane this morning and Mo was definitely one of a kind, he was always there to take jab at you/your team (whether in real life, fantasy sports or virtual team) whenever you're down. However, it was always in good fun and light-hearted. Mo never seemed to take anything too seriously and that was one of the reasons why he was always fun to communicate with.
I feel terrible that I didn't know about his sickness and hadn't interacted with him in a few months. If this has taught me anything it's that I should probably be a little more like Mo and communicate with people more (online and in real life) rather than getting wrapped up in my own little bubble like I tend to do from time to time.
In closing, I just want to say that Mo is, was, and always will be AWESOME. RIP brother, you will be missed. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: RIP Mo...
This is crazy. Someone already said this, but I was naive to how fast Leukemia can progress as well. I was reading through his tweets this morning and it’s like.. just crazy how he went from being diagnosed less than a month ago to.. gone? Just 33 years old too. Very sad. I didn’t know him like others here, but he was a great poster and from the sounds of it a great guy too. I feel terrible for everyone that was close to him. RIP.

I didn't know Mo as well as others on this site did, but I did have a few interactions with him over the years.
R.I.P Mo.
Thoughts and prayers for his family and friends.
And to the members of OS who knew Mo on a more personal level than I did, I'm sorry for your loss.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: RIP Mo...
Gosh, he's gone way too young... 33 years old!!
I'm 30 years old myself...I couldn't imagine that in 3 years, I could get diagnosed with Leukemia and be gone so quickly thereafter. It hurts my heart, I'm praying for his family. His FSU allegiance notwithstanding, he was a great guy...great sense of humor...he will be missed.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

RIP Mo...
I mostly know him from his FUT leagues that he'd make for FIFA, and here of course, seemed like a real stand-up guy. Thoughts and prayers with the family...

Re: RIP Mo...
RIP, Mo.
OS is my only social media presence, and I don't have a lot of direct interaction with anyone here, Mo included. But I recognize names and eventually feel like I "know" some of you here. Although, again, I can't really say I "knew" Mo.
But I remembered that he ran the NCAA bracket contest. When there was no new thread for the contest last week, I went to his arena and saw he hadn't posted since February.
If you've been here long enough, you realize that some names stop appearing here. It's natural to assume that people just move on from OS, for one reason or another. But with a community as large as ours, it's inevitable that some of us get sick, get old or are just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I never "knew" Mo, but he sounds like a great guy. I'm saddened that he was one of the unfortunate ones. My thoughts are with his friends and family.Comment

Re: RIP Mo...
Hey everyone, I've enjoyed reading everyone's thoughts in here. Steve gave the go ahead for this to be posted here. If anyone is interested, I am doing a memorial collection in Mo's name to go to the Spanish Community Center in Joliet, IL where he worked.
All donations after GoFundMe fees will be sent to the Center in his name. Thanks for considering!
