    Re: RIP Mo...

Not sure I can say anything thing that hasn't been said already. But it's been almost a decade since I would have first interacted with Mo on here. Never met the man in person, but we grew to talk nearly every single day on Twitter. Whether it was about baseball, wrestling, wrestling figures we would buy at different places, sports cards, which we had traded a couple times, he was always a great conversation and a great friend.

Our Cardinals/Cubs banter was always great, but out of respect. So happy he got to see the Cubs with a World Series.

When I found out he had cancer I felt gutted. I felt weird at first that I was worked up over someone I've never personally met falling ill, but quickly remembered he was certainly a friend from all the days we talked. I really have been shook over this all day, and will certainly miss our inevitable conversations we would have had all baseball season long.

Rest in peace, brother. We'll see you again some day.

Super sad news man. RIP. I didnt really know him, ive been here for over 15 years so besides interacting by chance in some random threads over the years I didnt really know him outside of seeing the Green 'Mo" in threads. Seemed like a cool dude who just was on the receiving end of some bad luck in life.

Ignorantly I thought leukemia was a much slower moving thing, its blowing my mind that he found out in february, and passed away a month later. Seeing his tweets, it definitely didnt seem like he was expecting the worst.

If anyone has contact with the family let them know his OS people are mourning with them in their loss.

There are many different types of leukemia, some more aggressive than others. Whereas some forms are so mild and progress so slowly that the patient may never require significant treatment, others are very aggressive and resistant to treatment and can progress quite rapidly.

          Re: RIP Mo...

So sad to hear about a longtime OS family member passing away. When you've been visiting and posting to this site for nearly 20 years, there's a certain bond that goes beyond just randomly chatting with people online.

Mo and I shared a passion for Florida State football and professional wrestling. We didn't talk a ton, but always appreciated what he brought to the forums.

My condolences to Mo's family and those here at OS that were close to him.

I forgot to mention Mo, and myself's love of the show Psych. We would talk about it and tweet funny moments that happened on the show.

We also talked a lot about sports cards. I bought a box of cards tonight in his honor. I think he was more into baseball cards than football, but they were pretty much out of baseball stuff until next week.

            Hoping for a Bears autograph.

Rest in peace brother. You'll be missed. I lost a cousin to leukemia when I was younger so this hits close to home.

                Something really interesting happened earlier.

Mo and I bonded over our love for food so I decided the first thing that comes up under a search for "@tark31 @cpatt20 eat" is what I'm going to eat in memory. First thing that popped up? A quote from Simpsons:

my boyhood dream was to be a catcher. And to eat the worlds biggest hoagie
So I decided to get a hoagie. I go to the website of the place near me to get one and what's on their website? A button for a "Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Meal Deal."

Even if the meal deal itself wasn't for a hoagie, I took it as one of *those* types of signs.

Yeah, as messed up as it sounds, I believe this is the leukemia and lymphoma awareness month. My local video store (Family Video) has a round up for the charity that runs it.

Man, I've been here as long as DJ has been, and he is right, losing someone you knew of here at OS(I didn't know Mo much outside of OS) it's similar to losing someone close to you.

He used to make me chuckle at some of the things he posted here and that is a good quality to have.

RIP Mo and thoughts and prayers to his family and friends and his family and friends at OS.

Oh my goodness. This is terrible. I didn't even know he had leukemia.

I just saw this thread title on display from the main forum section, and immediately my heart sank knowing this was about one of our own. I never thought the day would come we'd lose an OS brother (if we've lost other prominent ones before, feel free to remind me). He was a great guy. Always wish I got to meet some of you all, as I've met some before... and it's heartbreaking I will never get to meet him.

Here is to hoping he is in a better place, free of any pain.
