I once missed out on a promotion because I had called out sick one day in a calendar year. The three other candidates didn't call out over the same year. I was eliminated early in the process because of that.

That would be infuriating to me.

Got mine last year, think it was just for Family accounts then.

I’m still waiting to get some type of Hulu included with my Family plan. They give you it with Premium but not Family... but... I pay $5 more a month... throw me a bone yo!

Someone tried to tell me well you get 5 accounts, so it’s a worse deal for Spotify but I’m paying them money they wouldn’t see otherwise. You pay more you get more, that’s how it works. And the other accounts hardly use it (which is what Spotify banks on). Me, on the other hand, am a power user. Haha. They probably hate how much I stream.

The "funny" thing is I asked for and was granted a meeting with the Hiring Director. I wanted genuine feedback on what I needed to improve upon and better develop for when the next opportunity would show up.

The meeting was basically a recap of everything I had accomplished. When I pressed for something to work on, she straight up told me that I had called out sick one day and not to call out sick. She pointed out the other candidates hadn't missed a day and had even "sacrificed" vacation days over the past year. I was stunned with her response.

Needless to say, I was working somewhere else in 2 months.

One of the issues with expectations.

Companies can say whatever they want, but they would prefer someone who never took a sick day and who will stay back all the time over one who actually wants work life balance, or simply just time to unwind from work.

8 hours a day, 5 days a week is no longer the norm, and some places even want people during unpaid hours at home to still be communicating.

Good for ___ that they skipped their lunch break, stayed late, and worked extra days. I like to eat, sleep, and have a life. When did that become frown upon?

never understood whats so terrible about Never Gonna Give You Up, one of my favorite songs and videos from the 80's. Mediocre and generic never sounded so wonderful. I feel like a better candidate to Rickroll somebody would be Justin Biebers Never Let You Go or something inappropriate from Rick & Morty. I blame Family Guy and Astleys cousin Marvin for any negative connotations to Never Gonna Give You Up.
Other fine candidates to Rickroll unsuspecting persons: Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby, Milli Vanilli Girl You Know It's True, Billy Ray Cyrus' Achy Breaky Heart, or Rebecca Black & Friday.
As for Never Gonna Give You Up, I wish every page on the Internet had a link to it lol

Didn't Curb start the same way? Or maybe they did that hour-long special knowing HBO was going to turn it into a series a year or two later. I can't remember the story behind it.
