I'm about an hour SE of there. They'd better make the companies involved (trains, chemical producers, etc.) pay for everything, but of course they won't.

Hopefully it was more of an acute short-term toxicity situation and not a long-term one, which is what I gather to be the case. A lot of it just burned up and/or evaporates quickly. Apparently they also had ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, ethylhexyl acrylate and isobutylene on the train.

I mean, FFS, why do we need all these chemical additives? If we cut out all the plastics we use, that would help.

They need it tho. Not enough clicks on those "will your 3rd covid infection be the worst one yet??" stories lol. They want everyone to always be a little on edge so that we'll read there articles.

I'm a few years away from 40 and have never had a cavity, filling, or lost a tooth (other than wisdom teeth). Am I just really lucky? From what I've read, this is rare.

I don't have perfect teeth though, seems like I've got gum recession. But my teeth were always "tall" so I'm not sure. Some people just have more tooth showing. And they're definitely not the whitest teeth ever seen. I used to not take great care of them, but now I water brush them after every time I eat or drink anything other than water. Still, I wish they were Hollywood white, I mean...everyone seems to have those Hollywood white teeth now. Makes me feel self conscious.

I had two cavities in my baby teeth. Outside of that, like you I have an immaculate dental record.

My teeth themselves ain't perfect, though. Misalignment, retrocuspid papilla, larger canines, and they aren't pearly white despite my incessant brushing and mouthwash. Not ever enough for braces or anything though.

Same, I'm almost 42 and have never had a filling. I last went to the dentist back in August and he said I have samll cavities in each of my back teeth and wanted to fill them, but wanted to wait and see since they weren't bothering me at all. I hadn't been to the dentist in about 3 years before that and then before that it had probably been 10+ years since I'd gone to the dentist. I've brushed twice a day since I was a kid, but only started judiciously flossing and using mouth wash within the last 10 years or so. I inherited my hard enamel from my dad who had very few if any cavities when he passed away at 37. Like you my teeth aren't perfect though, as I have a number of flattened cusps apparently from grinding them in my sleep plust my lower teeth are kind of crowded (I had braces for an overbite, but I think my wisdom teeth moving around and coming in after I got them off messed them up.

My mom and sister on the other hand ... My sister always hated going to the dentist when we were kids because she always had cavities and because I never had any and my mom has had many cavities and broken teeth

I'm 40 and never had a cavity or filling either, I broke a tooth on a popcorn kernel about 14 months ago, horrendous feeling, I rank it among my all time worst pains. I had a broken collarbone, complete shoulder dislocation, severe back strain (took hours just to get up off the floor), and that broken tooth pain was right up there, just brutal, idunno how hockey players do it

what kinda dog do you have? I had a shih tzu that acted like he was a patrol dog outside, giving the business to anything outside, little 9lb of fury scared away a deer once, until he got old and started losing his senses

cats are brazen, man, I was fortunate enough to see one coming and stomped the ground to scare it away, like after years of being terrorized by my little tough guy they wanted to strike back, and I was now the one on patrol
