Anyone else get recommended the "John Stamos Hears Papa Roach for the First Time" video then get sucked down the rabbit hole of Drumeo's playlist of drummers trying out songs they don't know?

Also, I just kinda wanted to test out the Insert Video option on the new forums, so let's see how that goes.

If you want to run people off, no doubt about it, this is the best way to do it.

The new forums? They'll take some getting used to but it'll be alright. Missing a month of posts throws things off a little bit, but as someone who just posts text and the occasional pic or YouTube link I'd be happy enough if some of the navigation aspects could match what we had on the old boards.

Maybe it'll feel better once they have an OS banner at the top and a theme that resembles the OS color scheme. I don't know anything but have to assume that type of personalization is on the to-do list. These default themes are a little rough.

With the old forums I could browse on my iDevices with an adblocker (don't judge me) in Safari once I disabled it to login. With these new forums it seems I need to keep it disabled. I get the purpose but admittedly, not a fan. lol I will say though, the one persistent ad at the bottom is way less obtrusive than what I used to experience. Kudos!!

I hadn't been on for awhile and got scared that they shut down OS. It looked very generic.

Going to miss the old look

Heh, I've seen a few names that I hadn't seen in a while (or ever before) popping in lately. Guys who hadn't posted in a while but still lurked popping in to comment on the new forums. Per Steve's earlier thread announcing the change (that hasn't been migrated over yet), this is still a test version (or open beta if you will) and the final version will be launched later. Things are slowly getting better, but Steve and the other engineers are still working through the various issues.

Per the thread in Steve's forum, this ad blocker issue has been fixed.

At least we can't really have the "people are going to quit the site over this" argument, because so many people have already left. In theory I definitely prefer a version of OS that looks like a message board from 2008, as opposed to something trying to be more like modern social media.. So I'm good with this.

After just doing a quick search for vbulletin themes it looks like there are a decent amount of options, so I’m sure it’ll look more OS and less generic once the heavy lifting of moving everything over and squashing the most critical bugs is done.

Gotta lay the foundation before painting the walls. Or…whatever metaphor works here. I don’t know. 😂

Random thing i heard about that people can try and realize it works.

                                Kaprekar's constant

If you use any 4 digit number (once the number isnt all the same digit) and constantly rearrange it into two numbers (highest and lowest), you'll eventually end up with 6174.

                                Let's use 2025 for example.

                                1st:
                                5220-0225=4995

                                Now, rearrange that:
                                9954-4599=5355

                                Do it again
                                5553-3555=1998

                                Attempt 4
                                9981-1899=8082

                                Now 5
                                8820-0288=8532

                                Attempt 6
                                8532-2358=6174!

You can use any 4 digit number that's not something like 1111,2222 and it works!
