Re: We need a little Christmas!
Happy Black Friday Eve everybody! there are probably a couple of you out there that call it "Thanksgiving" or something like that, not really sure. anyways, happy ''Thanksgiving'' to ya'll few too. think I might just gorge on banana pudding and peach cobbler today, then overload on Detroit football and Washington-Dallas football before winding down with New Mexico and Utah State tonight.
again Happy Black Friday Eve, be safe and eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we may dieOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: We need a little Christmas!
Scott,
The house inside and out looks incredible. I especially love the Star Wars decorations. Did you watch episode 5 "The Jedi" yet? Absolutely insane. I loved it.
28 Days to go! I cannot believe that we are past American Thanksgiving (that's what we call it up here). Most of my shopping is done. I just have to finish my wife's stocking. The kids gifts just need to be wrapped. For kids, the next 28 days will crawl by, for us adults...we will blink and it will be here.
It is really starting to dawn on me that this will be our last Christmas in this house. We will be in our new home next year. On Wednesday we we out at the model home picking out all the colours, floors, and every other thing that is a bloody upgrade by the developer. I bring this up, because I'm having them install Holiday Plugs for our outdoor Christmas lights. I've also pictured in my head where we will put all of our trees. We will be clocking in at 6 tree next year. We decide to do a real tree in the main room. It will go up the first week in December as to not be a complete fire hazard by Christmas. All the other trees will go up on November 1st like normal.
That is it for now. The season is truly upon us and I'm as excited as a kid in a candy store. Merry Christmas gentlemen. Let's try to enjoy this season as much as we can, after what we have all had to endure this year.I am the lesson after the fall.Comment

Re: We need a little Christmas!
Seems like this year might finally be the year I move on from the tree I've had for so many years. Will suck getting rid of it because the tree itself, even if it's a smaller one, has become part of the Christmas tradition.
Tree itself is still in near new condition despite having it for decades, but now I'm looking for one that's 7 or 8 feet.
Tempting to get one now, but I have to force myself to hold on a few more weeks and get one on Boxing day sale for $10 or something. No way I'm paying the jacked up triple digit prices. While I'm at it, might just buy all new Christmas stuff this Boxing day.Comment

Re: We need a little Christmas!
^ I'm hoping to see some deals on Boxing Day myself. My wife wants these particular candelabra's that go in your windows. They are 3 tier, silver LED lights. They are $39.98 each from Home Depot. She wanted them for all the windows in the front of the house. We have 9 freaking windows!Comment

I remember how cheap I saw stuff last year. Makes you really realize how much profit stores can make when you sell items for however much you charge, but still make a profit or break even when it's on those $5 clearance sales.
I saw some big name Hasbro board games that are usually $20+ for $5 on boxing day.
Christmas lights and a new tree are definitely on my list to look out for in a few weeks.Comment

I try to not get ahead of the time zone I am in. Just like celebrating the winner of Big Brother. I don't say anything until the West Coast sees the entire episode. I call it staying in my Christmas lane. LOL.I am the lesson after the fall.Comment
