No reason to apologize Steve, I was just curious. I understand this was, and still is, a big project that is going to take time to get fully implemented. I was curious if the original theme/skin was on the list to return.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Lets call a Spade a Spade here. I have been a member for like 30 years and it is straight unreal how different it is and how MANY ADS pop up on every different click. I get that everyone needs to make their cash, but this is not the OS I use to come to almost every day in the past.,GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

Not sure why it does it. It does not do that with other numbers.

Edit: It seems to go to blog posts made by that user. And a popup just popped up while I was typing this edit

Thanks for explaining. Doesn't do it for my name for some reason. It'd be nice if I could unlink it, but it seems like the hyperlink keeps getting re-added. -
Yeah, I have that keep on popping up in my dynasty posts and it’s really annoying. Also, HTML doesn’t seem to work as good as it used to, so I dropped that as it was too annoying to deal with.👍 1

I promise I'm not trying to be a jerk, I have no doubt a lot of work has gone into - and I'm sure continues to go into - the new site. But we're nearly six months into this and it's just ... depressing. Seems like most of the feedback that has been provided to make the site more user friendly has gone unaddressed. There seems to be no sense of urgency at all. Meanwhile, if you look around, the forums are all but dead. I fear it may be too late for OS at this point.
The NFL forum used to be one of the most active. I can remember a time when each game had its own thread each week. And those threads often had multiple pages of posts. The NFL forum now? Week 6 kicks off in a couple of days; there is a single Week 3 thread with two posts in it. It's just sad.
I know message boards aren't as popular as they once were. I know people were leaving the site before the upgrade. But, man, the upgrade really feels like the final nail in the coffin to me. As a longtime OSer, it's just depressing to see where the site is now.👍 1Comment

I honestly just want to get back to being able to load up a sensible page design and engage in discussions with good folks. Would be a shame to let that die.👍 1Comment

I echo this completely. I'm not going to sit here and front like these forums were a non-stop party before but this re-design has been an awful experience. The thing is, I want the OS forums to work and be functional because I have long enjoyed being a part of the community. And I know we can sit here and riff on how Discord is the new wave or whatever else but the fact of the matter is that the current forum redesign situation is actively driving people away and I can't really blame them.

I know how important these forums have been to so many people over the years. The truth is, the old system was on borrowed time. If we hadn’t upgraded, we risked losing everything when it inevitably crashed. I hate that the transition caused so much disruption, but it was something that had to be done to keep the community and its history intact.
I’ve done everything I can to address each issue that’s come up, but right now we only have one person handling the long list of fixes. It’s slower than anyone would like and I wish there was a faster way to get it all where it needs to be.
Believe me, I know how much life these forums used to have and it’s painful to see that activity drop off. I care about this place and the people here more than you probably realize. I’m still here every day, doing what I can to get things back to a better place, even if progress feels slower than it should.👍 1🥰 1Comment
