Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
LOL! Me and a friend of mine were just speculating about that on another site.
I do get fired up a bit and say "bull****" or "oh whatever", but I don't have a potty mouth at all. No, I'm not kidding, I actually get picked on because I rarely curse.
I agree that's ridiculous, kinda cool but still ridiculous. If I want say a play was bull**** in the privacy of my man cave, I should at least have a say in the matter.Last edited by doubledeuceR6; 01-02-2014, 02:02 PM.Texas Rangers/Saints/LSU/Tottenham Hotspur

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
Is there a high concern for running a RB at LB or vice versa? After making some moves in the second season transfer window I could use transferring Sagna but the replacement would be playing out of position. He's 31 and I have some younger players and cheaper worthy of replacing.5Comment

I would imagine your guys would have a hard time crossing if they're playing on the wrong side of the field. LBs are left-footed, and vice versa.im on ur pitch tacklin ur d00dz

Thanks man. Pretty new to running a franchise and fifa in general. How about RCB to RB? Is the difference mainly speed?5Comment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
More or less, yeah. The speedier guys generally play on the wing. The more sure-footed and tackle-able guys play full or center.
I would take some time to analyze your team. Look at each player's attributes and compare them to others. You're guaranteed to have a few a-ha moments.im on ur pitch tacklin ur d00dz

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
Last yr I ran a 4-2-3-1.
I safe saved before making moves but was going to try this out, what do you think.
4-1-3-2
LB. Sagna LCB. Mertesacker RCB. Koscielny RB. Gibbs
CDM. Ramsey
LM. Julian Draxler CM. Santi Cazorla. RM. Walcott
LS. Giroud. RS. Diego Costa.
subs:
Podolski, Hinteregger, Arteta, Oxlade, Jenkinson, Wellington Silva, Wilshere.
Injured: Vermaleen, Ozul,
Think this will work or should I reload my safe save which is pretty much my stock roster from last yr. or just a new formation?5Comment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
Well I'm not knowledgeable enough to know those guys down to their attributes, but in my personal experience, your formation should be reflective of your play style. I like the 4-2-3-1 because it creates a pentagon, with the point at the opponent goal, and the CAM in the middle of it. I like to use him to find outlets on the wing, and lob in to a single striker. The 2 DMs work for me because I play a collapsing D in the back 1/3rd. Overall, I play a more defensive game than offensive.
Your formation is the inverted pentagon, if you will, which affords you an extra striker, but one man thinner at DM. If you're a heavier attacker, and you have two talented strikers (as well as another on the bench) this might work for you. If, however, you like the idea of another DM supporting your backs, or you only have one stand-out striker, you might wanna rethink it.
Doesn't really answer your question, I guess, but i would say think about how you play, or want to play. How you want to develop your attack vs the concessions you're willing to make on D. If you have the personnel to support your style, put them in an equally suited formation, and get crackin.Last edited by ChiTownKid; 01-04-2014, 02:06 AM.im on ur pitch tacklin ur d00dz

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
Hey guys, I always read this, but rarely ever post on here, however I feel inclined because I got a PS4 for christmas and am loving the next gen sports games I got. (FIFA and Madden).
I am doing a manager mode with Tottenham. So far it hasn't gone to plan, I am 12th in the EPL with a record of 2-1-3 I think.
I am out of the capital one cup after losing to Crystal palace away, 1-0. I just couldn't create any chances. I am actually loving the difficulty though. I play on professional, and I find sometimes I can score easily, sometimes I can't do anything and sometimes it's even on both sides.
Best moment so far was going down against Norwich 1-0 in a cup game, and winning 2-1 with two goals late, one on the 85th minute and one in injury time! It was one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had on a sports game, I jumped out of my seat and shouted, that's something I never do lol!
My only activity was selling Adebayor for 2 mill more than his value and getting shot of Lloris too. I bought Hart from Man City to replace him and am trying to scout a new striker, because the Spurs firepower up front is poor. I have one issue though, I scouted and signed a young guy from Germany, he sent an email saying he can't wait to meet the team blah blah, but has still yet to appear on my roster. Yet that happened weeks ago in the game... Strange. Is there a reason for this?Packers | Tottenham Hotspur | Heat | Dodgers | Carolina Hurricanes | Volunteers | BvB DortmundComment

What's the difference between the champions cup and euro cup? I got into the champions cup (I understand why, and how), but don't get why I didn't get a bid for the euro cup. I believe that's what they're both named.5Comment

Do you mean Europa League? (not sure what they call it in the game, Euro League?)
You can't be in both.
Some teams that are eliminated from the Champions League qualify to enter the Europa League in its later stages, but I'm not sure if this works as it should in the game. My guess would be that it does, but I haven't seen it myself.Last edited by Entiae; 01-05-2014, 08:51 PM.Comment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
I put Hearts of Midlothian in the League One, originally in the SPFL.
Anyway, my goal was to avoid relegation and I really wanted to have two seasons in the League One. However, I got automatic promotion.
My team was no higher than 66 rated to start with and I wasn't expecting much.
Anyway, I had managed to get to a round of 16 in the F.A Cup by pure luck, getting weaker teams etc. With the money I had managed to get the majority of my playersComment

Euro Cup? That should be for national teams.

So in January I sell Mcdonald for 650K and brought in Daniel Bachmann who's grew like mad, may I add and Adam Morgan who has teamed up well with Patterson.
I simmed most of my matches after January as I was 18 points ahead of wolves and because of injuries it resulted in the last game of the season being a must win to be promoted. Me and wolves on same points but different goal difference.
(however, weirdly enough a news posts said I already won the League.)
So I'm into championship with 250k and 1,250k weekly wage.
Any tips on cheap good players in season two?Comment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
I'm in January of my 2nd season with Liverpool. I've tried to keep it realistic, at least for the most part. My notable purchases have been Alberto Moreno, Montoya, Will Hughes, Tello, Mohamed Salah, and Xabi Alonso (on a free with a 1 year contract, although his rating was down to a 78 when he joined my side). I also bought James Tarkowski, though he's loaned out since I really only bought him as a future replacement for Skrtel and Toure. And for Agger I suppose, since I just sold him to Barcelona in the summer. I didn't want to let him go, but Sahko is a beast and plus, it was Barcelona. I also sold Suarez to Real Madrid for a ton of money. I'm trying to sell Aspas right now, if I'm able to find a buyer. I may try and buy Weimann from Villa as a replacement. I still have quite a bit of money from the sales of Agger, Suarez, and a couple of smaller players, but haven't quite figured out to do with it since I have a deep squad with plenty of future stars.
I've loaned out Suso again as well. I can't find him a regular spot in the team but I didn't want to sell him just yet. I'll probably end up selling him in the summer but he has turned into a pretty solid player.Comment
