Won liga BBVA with Real Madrid, but lost to FC Zaragoza in the Copa Del Rey LOL I'm novice when it comes to FIFA and soccer and general. I play 5 mins default on pro. Am I missing out big time by not using sliders? I just don't want so high scoring games with 10-15 min sliders because i'm already scoring 2-4 goals quite often with 5 mins.

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
I have several going right now but I seem to be focusing on three of them...
Real Madrid - Where I sold 75% of the team and did some massive rebuilding to bring in the likes of Suarez and Pogba.
FC Zenit - Because I need my Hulk fill and I try to sign young up and coming talents to allow them to flourish in Russia.
Palermo - Which is the one people can follow on Youtube, their decent budget and the fact they were in Serie B made it an interesting challenge to see how high we can go.If you enjoy STREAMING GOLD, make sure to follow us on our Twitch channel @thehotmessComment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
Began one with the my favourite team the Catalan giants Barcelona. Also bought the international job thing from the catalogue (made my guy Brazilian). So I'm managing my two favourite teams in the world (Guatemala is tied, but eh).
Thus far this next gen stuff on legendary and all manual is kicking my arse. Not sure if it's how terribly I'm playing or how good the AI actually is on the game. I did win the Super Copa over Atleti 4-3 after tying the first leg at the Camp Nou 3-3.
In the transfer window I made a plethora of changes.
In: Thiago Silva (26.5 million) Needed a CB after selling Mascherano
Luis Suarez (20 million + Alexis) Liverpool made a 15 million bid for Alexis, thought I'd go for Suarez since they wanted Alexis.
Sergio Aguero (22 million + Pedro) I tried selling Pedro, Chelsea offered 19 million and Man City 18. Decided to get Kun for Pedro.
Hugo Lloris (6.5 + Victor Valdes) Tottenham enquired about him, was going to sell anyways. Get something back instead of nothing, wasn't going to resign him
Mattia De Sciglio (5 million + Montoya) Not a fan of Montoya, like this kid a lot
Ander Herrera (10.5 million) Fell out with Athletic Bilbao, beat out a 8.5 offer from Chelsea
Oliver Torres (7.5 million + Jonathan Dos Santos) Huge fan of Oliver, will be my starting CM once Xavi retires. Even over Cesc (so slow in the game)
Before starting I added some B players; Dongou, Grimaldo, Suarez, Adama, Joan Roman and Bagnack. Sent them all out on loans.
Out: Pedro (see above)
Alexis Sanchez (see above)
Victor Valdes (see above)
Isaac Cuenca (5 million to Malaga)
Alex Song (13.5 million to Atletico de Madrid)
Javier Mascherano (25.5 million to Manchester Utd)
Adriano (3.425 million to Levante)
Keirrison (1.6 million to Valladolid) recalled him, finally got rid of him
Oier (375K to Almeria)
Bojan (loan to Ajax)
Grimaldo (loan to Real Betis)
Adama (loan to RC Recreativo)
Bagnack (loan to EA Guingamp)
Suarez (loan to R. Jaen)
Dongou (loan to Ponferradina)
Joan Roman (loan to Getafe)
After all this moves I have begun La Liga campaign terribly. I'm 3-2-2 with only 11 points, the leaders Atleti have 22 and Real 19. They have played 2 and a game more than me, so I could be 5 points out if I win my next 2, even with my awful start. For the Champions League I gave myself the group of Death with Man Utd., Borussia Dortmund and FC Shakhtar. The first game we went to Old Trafford and won with an 87th minute goal from Messi 1-0. The second game was in Germany and well we got outplayed and lost 2-0. After 2 matches we sit 2nd. Dortmund has 4, we have 3, Man Utd. has 3 (beat Shakhtar in Ukraine in the 90th minute), and Shakhtar has 0.
Before the season the news came that Pinto and Puyol would be retiring at the end of the campaign. Tough news since Puyi is our captain, Pinto I would've sold for free if he would've kept playing. Also Puyi suffered a training incident and will be out 4 months, he should be back for the knockout stages of the Champions if we make it out the group.
Plan here is to keep Lloris for one year, then use him as a trade chip for Courtois. Who's my favourite GK but can't go after since he's on loan with Atleti. Also Kun and Suarez should only be out here for a year or two. Plan on bringing Deulofeu in next season, Rafinha as well. Grimaldo will be on another loan as he will be our starting LB in 4-5 years. Dongou and Adama will keep going out on loans til they get to 75 or 20 years of age. Joan Roman will be sold and Bagnack will get time at CB as long as he progresses good. Also plans for next season, Pogba to help out Sergio at CDM. Sergi Roberto will be sold if he doesn't improve this year. Tello is on his way out, so is Ibi Afellay. Ander Herrera will also be on his way out as the midfield of the future is Oliver Torres and Rafinha who will be back from loan next season.
As for Brazil, they have wrapped up a World Cup spot!Comment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
Wow it's been awhile since I have been on here. I just started playing FIFA again with my Dag & Red squad, A recap for you.
Year 1- League 2- Champions- I had a very small budget and was only able to sign a couple of FA.
Year 2- League 1- Champions- I sold a couple of my older strikers cause I had a crazy fast young striker, Obifemi. Led the league in scoring. Also I started to get my youth scouting going.
Year 3- Fl Championship- Mid Table- I simmed a lot of games this year. I brought up a couple of young strikers and sold Obifemi for somewhere near 2 mill. Tom Lancashire a 17 year old english striker would take over my lead striker role.
Year 4- Fl Championship- 2nd, Promoted to BPL- I brought up more Youth Squad players mostly Mid Fielders like English CDM Wes Hanratty and Irish LM Joe Burdon. I also got a CB from Manchester United... last name of Stewart he's 23 (forget his first name) in the first transfer window. I also brought in a new keeper from the FA pool after getting a big offer for my old keeper. He came in as a 70 ovl at the end of the season he was a 75.
Now to season 5. I simmed my friendlies, let a lot of the younger guys play my first two games and then got my first team together for the final friendly. We went 2-1. I signed a couple of 20 year old CB's to help my defense. It was much needed. Especially since my best LB wanted out. I sold him for 1.3 mill.
Our first game vs Watford I win 2-0. I'm really liking my new defenders and my now 19 year ST Tom Lancashire is becoming so dangerous. Second game vs South Hampton 4-0 win. I'm thinking man, I could be on to something here, this young team with a bunch low 70's and high 60's players are making noise. It's very early but still! I get an email from Lancashire "I want to leave".. I just extended him last year he has 5 years and 9 months left on his contract! My board the next day sends me an email "We think it's best if we sell lancashire"
I'm now pissed. I turned down an offer for 4.9 mill for him (and the going price I could have asked for up to 9 mill). I don't get to determine where we sell him. 4 days later he is sold, to Norwich City for 3 mill.... They sold him at face value.. HE WAS 19 with a 93 potential!!!! I'm so frustrated with my board right now!. I went and signed a FA striker who is speedy, he's actually faster than Lancashire and only one year older. Thanks to him I beat liverpool 3-1.Beavers|Red Sox|Buccaneers|NBA HoopsComment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
Eto'o is overpowered in the game, IMO. I played my first NG Season as Chelsea Manager, and Eto'o through 4 games had 7 goals. This is when I realized I had to bump up my difficulty lolComment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
Question on future fees.
Do I get my next year budget injection before I am presented with the option to execute the future clause?
I started a CM with Torquay United and brought in Schrijvers, Benzia and Bellerin on loan with future fees since that was the only way to get anyone in with a tiny budget and was planning on begging the board for some funds with the promise of automatic promotion in addition to any cup money I can come away with so I could keep them around, but if I get my budget next year I can start setting up my youth scouts and squad now and pay back what I took out later.
Love playing in league two by the way. Tons of fun trying to play with guys with the touch of elephants. But now I am really hurting since I've now lost Schrijvers (Torn Quad), Benzia (Broken Ankle) and Pearce (Torn LCL) for 3 months. Schrijvers netted twice for me over the first three games then went down and I started relying on Benzia to carry the attack and now that he is down it looks like I'm sticking 5 in the back and parking the bus for a couple months. Worst part about it is that I lost Benzia on a play where I should have received a penalty that (if converted) probably would have kept me in the Capital One Cup, where I ended up getting eliminated by Oldham on penalties.Comment

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?
In the 15th game mark here are the standings
1.Atletico 40 pts
2.Real Madrid 35 pts
3. Valencia 33 pts
4.Barça 30 pts
5.Osasuna 26 pts
6.Athletic Bilbao 26 pts
Since my 3-2-2 start I've gone 6-1-1 and I've lost 5 points in the title race. Atleti are 13-1-1. Will need to go perfect in the next couple months to catch up. Do still play them twice so those are 6 pts that could cut the deficit to 4. So I'm only 2 games back at this point. Need them to slip up.
Champions stage is done with. I remember in older FIFA's they would give you a couple thousands for going through the group stage, I got 11 million. Now I know when I start my Newcastle career that all I'll need is to qualify for the Champions and get out of the group to build my team around $$$$. Dortmund failed to qualify to the next stage. Man Utd. and us went through. Here are the knockout pairings
Barça v Man City (just like in real life)
Real Madrid v Napoli
Chelsea v Galatasaray (real life one as well)
FC Porto v Schalke 04
Bayern Munich v Benfica
Juventus v Anderlecht
PSG v Milan
Atleti v Man Utd.
Arsenal as did Zenit got knocked out in the group stage (Galatasaray 1st, Real 2nd). Dortmund out. Placed Monaco instead of Lyon, they finished 3rd behind Juventus and Schalke. Anderlecht finished 2nd ahead of Sporting CP and CSKA Moscow.
3 matches left in December, 2 league and one Copa, will be tough to see if I can get back into the title picture. For this upcoming transfer window I'm planning of selling Ander Herrera and Luis Suarez. Haven't gelled with the team. Will need a new mid as Xavi gets exhausted too quickly and Iniesta/Cesc are playing terribly.Comment
