Re: *The FIFA 15 Manager Mode Thread*

Im in my second year with everton. First year I placed fourth in the league, ngot to the champions league, but crashed out first round due to players too tired and bad luck i suppose. I was able to sell a lot of players im not fond of, and bought a lot of talent. Right now my team consists of
    Higuain/ Lacazette
    Barkley/Veratti/Tielemans/Marchisio
    Baines/Jaglielka/Cahill/Hibbert
    Howard

The subs i use the most are dybala an correa, both loanees, an alexandre song. Song has been in beast mode, grew one point already in his first season with the club, and most games he's a starter and verrati gets benched (though he's 84). I feel Marco isnt giving me what i want as a cm, and i might play him cdm, but im afrqid he wont keep growing there.

I came here to asks two questions.
    1) Since i sold coleman this season i have not been able to replace him. Im looking at Danilo right now, but what are your suggestions?
    2) Marchisio's contract is almost pver, and he has the highest one of the club. He plays as a cdm when song is benched, cm if not. Im debating whether or not i should use him as a trade for Mateo Kovacic? What do you guys think?

Glad you made it past year 1, haha. I just finished year 1 , and got sacked.

Here is how I finished at Everton year 1 of CM:
      BPL - finished 6th
FA CUP - Won in final, beat Chelsea 3-1
Capital One Cup - Lost in Final to Arsenal on penalty kicks
Euro Cup - knocked out of round of 16 by Arsenal (on away goal)
Board goals a bit of a stretch to begin season, win domestic cup, win euro cup, and qualify in BPL for champions league.

Not many choices for new club, so took only BPL job available: Aston Villa. Board expectations are more realistic, mid table. I hope they tweak this for fifa 16, board expectations, make them more realistic.

I brought in Yedlin to try developing at RB behind Coleman for a few seasons, then transfer Coleman out for some cash. But that did not work out, so I brought Yedlin to Aston Villa. I also grabbed Stones for my back line. Need to bring another striker in as well, sold Agbonlahor for $25 million. Still in summer and transfer window, with like 10-15 million to buy a solid striker.

West Ham United - Episode #112: HUGE PLAYER TO LEAVE???

In this episode, we potentially see a massive squad shake up as our simplistic transfer plans are turned on their heads when a star player turns in a transfer request! Can we find a viable replacement for him? We also have a home match in the BPL against Aston Villa in the midst of this roster turmoil.

West Ham United - Episode #113: MASSIVE INJURY BLOW!

In this episode, we see our want away center back find a new club, while we bring in a pair of defenders as his possible replacements! We also see one of our top performing players pick up a huge injury that will fore us to find his replacement for 3 months! Who can we bring in to fill the void??? We also face Shrewsbury in the Capital One Cup with just days to go before the end of the transfer window.

Injury Blows are brutal....Your looking at some old timers for replacements...All that cash worth a player who will retire soon? Probably since Fifa 16 almost out!

Btw, My bro got the beta for UT on fifa 16 and they opened the whole game up...We played 3 matches through kickoff on Legendary with 7 min halves. I dont remember the exact stats but they were phenominal games. And all stats were pretty realistic. It was just like EA said, more midfield battles, you cant just burn the defensive, you really need to have great build up play.

Long balls are brutal as they arent as accurate, passing in general isnt as easy and every player seems to have a different touch and feel when on the ball and dribbling.

Real madrid vs Manchester city 1-1 which we won on PKs(5-3)
            poss: 48-52
            Shots/on target: 6/3-7/4

            Liverpool - Everton Lost 0-1
            Possession: 50-50
            Shots/on target: 9/4-8-4

Arsenal - Villa 2-2 Won on PK 5-4
            Possession 52-48
            shots/on target 10/5-9/4
This game was pretty interesting as we were down 0-2 for most the game and in the 88th min we received a penalty and another in the 92nd min of 2 min stoppage.

I cant wait to play career on 16, I think this is going to be great. hearing about how you can train your young lads on how you want them to play and see them improve if they have potential is exciting. Being able to make Ibe a finisher or a winger with better passing or if LFC get Illramendi, being able to train him to be more defensive or a holding/possession midfielder is going to really make you feel that you can create a solid side from your youth. And on the other hand you cant keep training ronaldo to finish as his finishing is already high and you wont seem him grow like a youth with potention.

So I picked Chelsea. After the first pre season game, Hazard demanded to be transferred. Not the "just kidding I'm staying" kind either. The moral status of Leaving kind. The board even said, ya we will back you in what ever you do, but you should sell him. So I sold him to Barca for $85.5M. Then used that to buy Cavani and Giovanni dos Santos. Also did a bunch of smaller moves, no big names.

15 games in and in first place (10-3-2) with 33 points. One one point over Man City. They have us by 18 on GD. Aguero has 22 goals already! Lost to Stoke in the R16 of Cap1 cup. Also finished first in group stage for UEFA (champs cup). Finished with 12 points, 3 wins and 3 draws. PSG was in our group and finished dead last with 2 draws and 4 losses.

Four games left in December and my roster is a mess. So many injuries. I had to start recalling loaned players just to have enough for a full sheet in a couple of games.

I have a feeling I'm about to go on a long winless streak. So many long term injuries. dos Santos, Costa, Cahill, Oscar, Willian, Zouma, Matic and Ivanovic are all out 4+ weeks right now.
Finished the season in 5th place on the table. We had some really scrappy games for a while due to all the injuries. Lots of draws and losses. 19-10-9 for 67 points. But I also put a higher emphasis on resting guys for champions league over some of the lower table teams. Which ended up biting me in the arse. Man City ended up winning the league with 93 points.

Lost in the semi of the F.A. cup to Man City 6-2. They crushed us. I have no idea whats going on in this game with Aguero, but holy crap. He scored 41 goals on the season in the BPL, 9 in F.A. cup and 14 in Champions League. I've never seen that.

We also lost in the final of the champions league to Real Madrid 3-1. Ronaldo had a hat trick. And then on June 31st I was let go. They fired me because I didn't win the league, cup or champions league. I bet if I had won at least one of the three I could have kept the job. Bummer. I liked the roster.

And something I noticed that was odd. Hazard got hurt for 3 months. He was an 88 OVR with 75 stamina and 87 sprint. He came back an 86 with 70 stamina and 81 sprint. I don't think I have ever seen injury decline before. Only old age decline. He also had a couple other stats docked a point or two. And when he did come back he wasn't playing as good as Schurrle, so I started him the rest of the season over Hazard.

And now I am taking over for Les Gones! Olympique Lyonnais. Lyon!

Alexandre Lacazette is not on the team however. They apparently sold him to Juventus. Which is a huge bummer.

Haha, yep figured might as well get the most out of my money in the final season you know?!

After playing with Valladolid for ages, i took over at Chelsea and boy what a team i have now.

I pretty much don't lose these days but I am still enjoying the challenge of fitting all my midfielders in and keeping them happy.

My squad (to the best of my memory) is as follows:

                      GK's
                      Courtois
                      Cassilla

                      Defenders
                      Ramos
                      Matip
                      Taylor (young english regen)
                      Campadal
                      a young spanish left back

                      Midfielders
                      Meyer
                      Draxler
                      Thiago
                      Ibai Gomez
                      Chabaloah
                      Pogba
                      Halilovic
                      Bahlouli

                      Attackers
                      Ronaldo
                      Hazard
                      Piazon
                      Cavani
                      Zivkovic
                      Reus

there's more young players that are all regens but i can never remember their names haha

                          2020-21 Season

After promotion the previous year, Martin expected to take Union Berlin to greater heights than in the rest of the clubs existence. Union Berlin had never played in the Bundesliga, and now has its shot to play against the best Germany has to offer. Union Berlin had an unusual pre-season where they defeated Swansea City 4-0 in a match where Union Berlin played their reserves, then were destroyed 3-0 by LOSC Lille playing their starters, and finally destroyed Chelsea 2-0 with Union Berlin playing their reserves, and Chelsea playing their starters.
In the transfer market, ST Yannis Mbombo (72 OVR) joined on a free transfer, CB Marko Nadarevic (73 OVR) was reintroduced on a loan with the option to purchase at the end of the season for $1,500,000. ST Ziggy Beck (71 OVR) was purchased from Celtic for $2,650,000, CB McGovern (70 OVR) joined for $2,000,000 from Crystal Palace, and CB Nation (70 OVR) joined from Tottenham Hotspur for $1,400,000. LM Dartsch was sold to Chelsea for $4,000,000, and ST Tonso was sold to Olympique Lyon for $17,000,000. Finally, young German CB Daniel Bulut (70 OVR) was brought in on free agency.
Union Berlin’s first Bundesliga match came at home against Bayern Munich which Union Berlin stunned the football world by winning 1-0 thanks to Dossevi’s goal in the 4’! It should be noted that Neuer was injured in Euro 20, and didn’t play.

Real Madrid defeated AC Milan 4-1 to win the Super Cup. In the league, Union Berlin had a good start, often moving from somewhere between 2-5th in the league table behind Wolfsburg. On the other hand the traditional powers were not fairing so well to start the season. After the fifth week, Bayern Munich was last, Borussia Dortmund was 2nd last, and Schalke 04 was 3rd last (I should have taken a picture). By Christmas Union Berlin was second to Wolfsburg in the table, as the traditional powers started to rapidly move up the Bundesliga table. However disaster struck Union Berlin as leading scorer Beck went down for 7 months with a torn ACL just before Christmas. Also Martin did not renew his contract as the manager of the Norwegian national team, as it pulled focus away from Union Berlin, and Martin felt he took Norway as far as they could go with their poor defense.

In the winter transfer window, Mbombo who was tied with the injured Beck in Bundesliga scoring was sold to Borussia Monchengladbach for the ridiculous price of $18,000,000. GK Amsif was sold to Vitesse for $5,000,000, and disgruntled CAM Azemi was sold to EA Guingamp for $1,100,000. LW Saint-Maximin (73 OVR) was purchased from St. Etienne for $4,000,000, CAM Cochis (69 OVR) was brought in from Belgrano in Argentina for 2,900,000. GK Nilsen (73 OVR) was brought in on loan from Viking, and ST Christodoulopoulos (72 OVR) was brought in from free agency. CAM Alexandru Maxim (80 OVR) from Stuttgart, and Benito Raman from Augsburg will be brought in on a free transfer for next season.

Union Berlin had an adequate start to the second half of the season, but recovered their form, and eventually surpassed Wolfsburg for the top spot in the Bundesliga. It was a tough, tight battle to the finish, as Union Berlin eventually won the Bundesliga with 77 points, as Wolfsburg finished second with 69 points (losing their last 2 games), Bayern Munich finished third with 66 points, Stuttgart fourth also with 66 points. Borussia Dortmund finished outside of a Champions League spot in fifth, and Schalke 04 sixth. Union Berlin completed the double winning the DFB Pokal by defeating Bayern Munich 1-0 in the final. Inter Milan won the Europa League beating Marseille 2-0 in the final. In the Champions League, all four English teams made the Semi Finals (Manchester United/ Manchester City, Chelsea/ Liverpool), where Manchester United took the crown over Chelsea 2-2 (5-4 on penalties) in the finals. We can only assume John Terry missed the decisive penalty kick.

                            2021-2022 Season

I’m going to keep this short, I won the treble in 2022 with Union Berlin. I won the league with 83 points, 23 more than Bayern Munich. I defeated Borussia Dortmund in the DFB Pokal final 3-2, and beat Real Madrid 4-3 in the Champions League Final 4-3. In other major competitions, Manchester United beat Inter Milan 4-0 in the Super Cup, and also beat AS Monaco 2-0 to win the Europa League.

In international play I was the manager of the Netherlands for 1 day, defeated Northern Ireland 5-1, and then resigned after the Dutch squad failed to qualify for the World Cup. I then accepted the offer to manage the Brazilian National Team for the World Cup.
