    Re: World Class/Professional

Main issues that i found in world class were....

Really stupid human ai. Players would not go after balls, would watch or even back up as cpu players got a ball near the goal, etc. very frustrating.

Overwhelming physical strength of cpu. They push human players off the ball like nothing but it impossible to push cpu off ball.

Psychic intercepting of passes. Like as soon as the ball leaves a human players foot, the cpu is running into the passing lane and stealing the ball.

    Ping pong passes by cpu.

All of these makes gameplay frustrating. Im working with sliders on pro to make cpu better as I think that's the way to go.

Okay, so I broke something and will probably have to start over, lol. I'm in the middle of the dumbest/craziest game I've ever played. Its halftime, 4-4. I've had to use two subs already due to major injuries. There have been 5 yellow cards, 3 for the cpu. 6 of the 8 goals came on counter attacks. One of the cpu goals was a free kick around the wall, which was crazy cool looking. I just, its fun. But its not nuts.

This was my last game on Pro, slow, 10 min. A preseason tournament match. I was using Club America. Not bad. The cpu will get their shots off. Only thing about this particular game is that the cpu didn't commit any fouls, but they usually commit at least a couple.

I didn't end up finishing the game, otherwise I could have take a video. Sorry man. I quit the game after the second half opened with 2 goals in 5 minutes. I still have no idea what happened. I only changed first touch error. I played another game after that and it was fine. That game was just wacky.

                Re: World Class/Professional

Default WC, 10 Min (slow), Arsenal

                W, 3-2 BMG
                W, 3-0 SLO
                W, 1-0 CSKA
                W, 4-0 VAL
                D, 1-1 (3-4 L PK) CSKA
                W, 2-1 Chelsea
                W, 1-0 West Ham

I can't score on Headers. I'm using Counter Attacks, and just tick-tack passing into the box. Drawing good amount of Penalties outside the box. Think I've had two PK's.

Last year I could be more aggressive on defense and rush the offensive man. This year I'm shading the guy and holding the help button and forcing bad passes or getting them into a position where I can then close space and win the ball.

Offense I'm just building up in multiple ways when not countering with Sanchez/Walcott.

Really loving the game this year! West Ham should've gave up a minimum of three goals but Adrian played incredible.

This is so opposite of my experience but it's good - it means that what I'm experiencing isn't inherent to this year's game as much as it's probably a playstyle issue with me.

I started suspecting that may be the case when I watched some Youtube videos of a guy I like watching play - he's on World Class and it looks like he's playing a different game than me. He's also just better than I am, so there's that.

Yeah, it's def not to measure sticks just showing that results seem to be varied. If I'm not passing and building up the CPU will play me like a fool. That CSKA draw/loss was while they were a man down. I couldn't get going. I am playing Liverpool ATM and am expecting to lose.

If I could provide any tips, it would be don't underestimate the back pass. Once I realize I am in a bind on my build up, it goes back to my LB/RB and I start over. The CPU is def a goon on defense, just have to be patient. (I use different controls but the run/pass combo is great to get those tick-tacks going)

My twitch is ef5ive, I stream occasionally if anyone's interested in watching. I'm by no means a stud. :O

But in four games, lost to BVB 3-1, drew with Herthaberlin 0-0, drew with leipzig 1-1, the beat Byern 2-1 in a crazy match where there were 3 red cards, two against them. All three goals were penalties. All legit penalties. Clear path from behind sliding tackles to take the player out, lol. It was also my first win of the season. Since I had been experimenting on WC to that point.

Here is what I changed so far, I'll keep playing with it: (human:cpu)
                        Speed - 49:51
                        Acceleration - 49:51

                        Pass Speed - 48:48

First Touch Control Error - 58:58
What's good fellas!...Interesting thread!, I've also bumped up the CPU's shot and Pass error slider to even things out!...Difficulty has been a thorn in Fifa game for a long time!, i think we all want to achieve the same goals here!, I can understand about people wanting to play on WC, but this year Pro is the way to go!

I say....Play a few games, make a few adjustments to make the CPU a little tougher and enjoy it for what it is!, everyone is going to be on different levels of stick skill and Football knowledge!.For me personally, I wasn't enjoying it on WC, So i bumped it back down to Pro, made some adjustments, and enjoyment in my Manager Mode is back!.

                          Re: World Class/Professional

I saw this thread on Sunday night. My first thought was "oh yea aarontab, I'm on the same boat with you but I have some ideas I can share that may help you". Well, then I started reading through page after page and others have already had very similar ideas. So the main concept is already out there.

I must note here that I play all manual.

I had come to the conclusion that Pro and World Class pretty much play the same game but with easier or harder slider defaults (what 50 translates to for that respective difficulty level). And I think the idea that you can either dumb down WC or make Pro harder is the way to go. And it completely differs by individual's skills, style, etc. So I think, everyone needs to understand how each slider change makes a difference for the amount of change to find the sweet spot for their taste.

In my opinion, WC is the CPU reacting quicker than it would on Pro. I think if I had quicker fingers and thinking, I could play against WC the way I play against Pro. And yes, one is too tough for me, and the other is a little on the easy side. WC will not give me enough time for me to execute what I'm thinking. So I went the way where I started making Pro tougher for myself.

I will list some key sliders that I'm finding success for my skill and style so that if any of you want to take those as some sort of a base and concept and modify it to your taste.

Pass Error: 50/55 (Since I play manual, I think 50 for user error sliders is fair enough)

Pass Speed: 45/45 (I'm under the impression that this helps prevent the CPU from constant ping pong play all over the field, immitating Barcelona regardless what crap team they are)

Goalkeeper Ability: 42/42 (I went down on this slowly, all the way down to Matt10's slider value [which might be different at this point]. I couldn't score from any distance to save my life until I found a good point)

Marking: 38/57 (I think this is a major key slider for difficulty. This is the value that determines how quickly CPU closes down on you. I also capped myself to open up for CPU attacking and rely on human skill to defend)

First Touch: 70/60 (I have to cap the CPU, and cap my self even worse for a good balance)

So those are my sliders. It might be completely easy to the young guy with the fast fingers, but still tough for a beginner. It's just an example and kind of the story of how I got to those values. Find yours that work for you to enjoy to game at its max.

So, oddly I was all about PRO but just discovered thanks to Matt explaining it... That if I bump up CPU Pass error they do not miss tiki taka passes but attempt harder passes thus opening up their play.

Also, I was lieterally having the CPU shoot on me like three times a game. Bump up their shot error and they take more risky shots and shoot more.

This is brilliant instead of pass error and shot error makng them miss easy ones... They attempt harder ones. These two slider adjustments and World Class is awesome for me.. They shoot a lot and pass long balls.

I've been playing WC, default sliders. I don't know what clicked, but it did. I guess maybe just unlearning some FIFA 15 garbage/learning to move the ball through passing and not holding it too long is the key but it's been a completely different experience.

My issue with sliders is and always will be the fact that there are "unforeseen consequences" in the way the game plays. Sometimes that's just collateral damage that comes with making a FIFA iteration playable, but this year the game is absolutely fantastic on default sliders (on both Pro and WC, although Pro is too easy and WC is a bit unforgiving).

The only things i'm noticing that i'm doing differently are playing smarter defense (it's basically a battle to keep your defenders from going walkabout constantly...the CPU moves them and you have to select them and move them back) and moving the ball with a different mentality than in years past. More flow, more picking out runs, less "blow past every defender and run down the wing" stuff.

I think the biggest realization is that i was a pace abuser. FIFA 15 trained me to be. Once I broke the habit i've found a fantastic game that isn't "speed or nothing". It's changed my transfer policy and the way I play.
