Is the AI taking shots outside the box? In 21 for me they never would, even when I gave them lots of space. They kept just trying to work it into the box and would eventually pick out a pass my defender wouldn't cover and score.

on 21 your fullback would be left 2 vs 1 against their fullback and wide midfielder/winger while your wide midfielder/winger just stood 5 metres away standing there like a zombie

Hello mate, crosses are there and many
The problem of CM not tracking beta after beta update is not as noticeable as before
Anyway, with carefully designed sliders, CM are tracking back definitely better.
There are comments even on this thread confirming this point.

Yes i confirm all the points. AI with sliders is far better than FIFA 21 nextgen.
Long shots are in too. There is only the lack of faults that is now the major problem.

In any case it is better to be cautious: in these years we have learned and seen that EA is able to change the gameplay for the worse already with the first patch (following the requests of the Fut), with heavy negative effects on the offline gameplay.

My humble advice: buy a physical copy of Fifa 22, because the next patches will ruin it because of complaints of Fut.
These pro-players have already started to complain.
One of the best Italian pro players has already said:
"the game seems slower than fifa20, Son takes half an hour to turn around, it almost looks like Pes, defenses recover and close better etc.."

The opinions of pro players count for EA, because from Fut players it receives tons of money and the balance will be gradually shifted towards a faster gameplay, with weak defenses, based on 1 Versus 1.

This is so true! They really should release separate versions of the game. Maybe free for FUT people bc they pour a ton of money into the product. Then a simulation game that is full price.

I would not use the beta as an indication of the quality of what the actual release will be. Unless you just have to buy day one I'd wait until folks here and on other sites you trust reviews come in. Given EA track record for changing things between the beta and release combined with random bugs out or nowhere that's the safer option IMO.

Yes it's an horrible thing : pro player didn't like real football, and they always complain because they want only one thing : win, win and win.

So less defense, more speed, more skills

Sliders can fixed if the core game is not broken. I really scared about it.
So much fun on FUMA on the beta. I fear the worst for the retail game if Pro players are complained too much!!
