After playing PES for a while, I'm back to FIFA again for a bit. I started a new MM with the Galaxy. Sold Beckham and went with players with youth and potential. Ended up 3rd in the table and I decided I would make videos through my playoff run. I'll see how far I get.

Forgot off the top of my head, but when you're in your manager mode, there is an option to list your players for sale. I forgot where exactly, but it's there. Maybe club management section, I believe? I'll check later when I play, but maybe someone else can chime in real quick.

thanks for the financial tips guys, also thinking i'm loving manager mode, because i picked up the game late and know all the work arounds and annoyances

so i may lay back on getting fifa 11 until everyone finds bugs, since xbox or sony certification seems to pass the game even with major bugs

anyways I'm in my 6th year

spent three years with St Etienne, won champs league by year 3 with a Mario Balotelli and Ji Sung Park led team

Both followed me in year 4 to Real Madrid, where I got fired after getting eliminated in Copa Del Rey early (RM don't care about this in real life, may change with Jose though)

with anger I took the job at Real Zaragoza in year 5 in an attempt to have an all black roster, because Zaragoza are well, one of hte most racist fan bases in all of sports (also i like addidas sponsoered teams)

team is led by Altidore and tons of young EPL talent that I bought (Dalle Valle - finnishh italian guy from liverpool and Arsenal youth captain Jay Emmanual Thomas who I recommend to anyone cuz he can play everywhere, when I signed them did I end up watching all their highlights on youtube, yep I did, these guys are good)

Finished in 3rd but impossible to catch up to Barcelona who had close to 100 points

Anyways in year 6, love using Zaragoza, not just for the irony, but the fact that the low budget forces you to sell top players

I know that I could stack my team with scouted guys and just rotate year to year, but more fun to find real life youth players and building them up, even though they won't evolve as fast as scouted guys. Plus scouted guys have no real life highlights on youtube

So this is my first Manager Mode. Started as Dynamo.

I haven't had a great season or anything. I think transfers are almost over. Been hearing rumors that my job was on the line. I just got on, and played 2 games. First, I was up 1-0 halfway through the second half, and they came back and tied it with a penalty kick which I thought was COMPLETELY unwarranted, but whatever.

Next game, I have the best game of my career. 3-0 against Toronto. Brian Ching scored all 3 goals. It was beautiful.

At the end of the game, I'm fired.

I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure the only reason I started Manager Mode was to play with the Dynamo, and NOT to play with some crappy team in Ireland League, or a team in the Coca Cola 2 League (my only two options being those two leagues, Exeter City and Bray Wanders). Seeing as how I'm still in playoff contention, this seems a bit drastic.

Anyone else experiencing this BS? Or is there a way to turn it off when you begin manager mode? If there is, I must've missed it.

I believe it gives you an option when you start your MM, to set the difficulty of the gameplay AND the difficulty for the board of directors. So if you think they're being too hard, just set that difficulty to a lower level but keep your gameplay difficulty to whatever you normally play on.

I think its a fairly common complaint that firing can seem totally random at times. This complaint was on the bug list that was posted on Peter Moore's blog.

"13) The board sack you even if you occupy first place. You can expect to be fired at the mid-way point of the season if you lose a cup game, even if you’re in the top four of the league, especially in the Premier League. Even in the lower leagues, I’ve seen situations where games are won 6-0 every week for months and suddenly you’re fired the moment you draw 1-1."


But I didn't realise that you could alter the board difficulty so at least there seems to be a work around. But manager mode needs to see some serious improvements this year. Its been poor for far too long.

Well, after playing UEFA 2008 for two years, I finally gave in to the urge to buy FIFA 10. I'm highly impressed thus far and started my first Manager Mode as D.C. United. Currently I'm 1-1, but I did just sign a pretty good defensive player out of Latin Amercia that my scout found.

I'm using this MM as a test so I can learn all the ins-and-outs of the mode. Any advice on what I need to spend a lot of time learning? Transfers and scouting?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Went with my Columbus Crew,figured might as will play as my favorite team,8 minutes halves.

First game I ended up losing a close 2-0 game against Chivas USA,I just couldn't get any calls going my way and I think I took 6 shots the whole match,their goalie also played really,really good.

My next game is against the Colorado Rapids might switch the camera views any good ideas?My goal is to TRY to finish in the top half of the season.How long does it take you guys to complete a season?How many games do ya play a night?

I may need to try that view but let me update ya on my progress.

I informed you about my friendly loss,well my first game I lost a nail bitter against the Colorado Rapids 1-0 I had my chances to score but their goalie play really good.

Second game was against Chicago Fire, I scored it in my goal to give them a 1-0 lead then I tied it back at 1-1 then they murdered my defense in the second half and giving them a 3-1 Victory.

Third game was agsint the Galaxy Moreno ended up scoring two goals to give me a 2-1 lead at the half then both defenses gave up on holding the other team and it became a 4-2 shootout victory win for me.

My record is 1-2-0,Im pleased with my win over LA.

I have DC United next which should be a win but the way I play could be a blowout loss,xD

I will give one more update after I do a couple more games.

Any suggestions still welcomed!
