    LIVERPOOL CAREER MODE

    Match 33

    Liverpool 3-0 Manchester United
    Borini 13
    Borini 84
    Ings 88

Borini gave us the lead with a header after Ings' shot was deflected and looped onto his head perfectly. Borini scored again cutting inside and smacking it home. Ings settled it with a stunning effort into the top corner from the corner of the 18 yard box.

    Match 34

    Wigan 1-2 Liverpool
    Suarez 15
    Sterling 30
    Watson 37

Suarez opened the scoring with a header before Sterling ran clear to slot in. Watson got one back for the Latics when a ball came over the top and he toed in.

    Match 35

    QPR 1-3 Liverpool
    Pastore 23
    Granero 34
    Chalobah 45
    Ings 88

Pastore headerd in for his first BPL goal. Granero equalised with a powerful strike into the bottom corner but Chalobah regained the lead. Ings ran clear late on to wrap up the win.

    Match 36

    Newcastle 0-2 Liverpool
    McManaman 15
    Ings 89

McManaman scored after a mazy run to open the scoring and once again Ings scored late on, racing clear and smashing it in to the top corner.

    FA Cup Final

    Manchester City 1-3 Liverpool
    Sturridge 19
    Benteke 48
    Marquinhos 58
    Rakitic 65

In the Wembley heat, two teams stepped out believing. Sturridge tackled Milner and hit a shot that took a cruel deflection off Nastasic, sending Hart the wrong way. Benteke then equalised after half time with a header that went in off the post. From a corner, Suarez's header looped onto Marquinhos' head, for his first goal for Liverpool. Rakitic wrapped it up with a header from a Sterling cross. We had done, we had won the FA Cup for the second season in a row, the treble is on...

    Match 37

    Liverpool 1-0 Spurs
    Suarez 19
Despite the team being extremely fatigued, this match was to important to field reserves, and fortunately Suarez scored a finesse from distance to win the match. 1 point behind Chelsea with 1 game left, can we nick it on the final day again.

    Match 38

    Manchester City 1-1 Liverpool
    Sturridge 19
    Benteke 28

On the final day of the season, we had to win. A win and a Chelsea result that was anything but a win was enough. Sturridge came out of the blocks quickly, rounding the keeper and knocking in. Unfortunately, Benteke headed in, giving Man. City their revenge in the cruellest way possible. The worst part was, Chelsea didn't win.

    Final League Table

    Chelsea 89
    Liverpool 88
    Man. Utd 80
    Arsenal 76
    Man City 62
    Everton 60

    QPR 58
    Spurs 55
    Stoke 54
    West Brom 46
    Southampton 46
    Fulham 43
    Newcastle 41
    Sunderland 41
    Aston Villa 40
    West Ham 40
    Norwich 37
    Burnley 20
    Wigan 18

    Champions League Final

    Liverpool 4-3 Chelsea (aet)
    Benzema 8
    Sterling 18
    Suarez 44
    Hazard 45
    Sterling 71
    Matic 80
    Suarez 105

Benzema opened the scoring in the tie between the team who had just won the league and the team who had came second with a header. Sterling levelled it after being played through by Verratti. Suarez gave us the lead after a mix up allowed him an open goal but Hazard scored in stoppage time. Sterling regained the lead after Sturridge beat every defender before having his shot saved, leaving Sterling with the rebound. Matic levelled it again with an expert chip over Mignolet. In extra time, Sturridge beat Azpilcueta down the right and cut it back for Suarez to smash in the winner. We have won the Champions League in our first season back. Our 6th European Cup.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

      LIVERPOOL CAREER MODE

After a successful season, winning the FA Cup and the Champions League, and coming second in the league by 1 point, I decided to have an awards ceremony.

      Reserve of the Season

      Nominees

      Callum McManaman
McManaman played excellently whenever he was on the pitch, our top scoring reserve and our reserve with the most assists. Moving in and out, he destroyed left backs and centre backs, and was always in the right place at the right time.

      Danny Ings
Ings also played well throughout the season, providing late goals and injection of pace that no defender could catch. Scoring 6 goals in the season he came second in the goal scoring charts for reserves.

      Joe Allen
Allen stepped up this season when he was played, turning provider in a number of situations and taking control when needed. His passing ability was impeccable.

      Fabio Borini
Scoring a number of times against tough opposition, including a brace against Man. United, Borini returned from Sunderland a changed player. With an injection if pace alongside Ings, they were deadly together. Versatile, playing anywhere along the front three, he was a valuable reserve.

      Winner
      Callum McManaman

      Newbie of the Season

      Nominees

      Mattia De Sciglio
A young, pacey full back with bags of potential. He ran up and down the wing, providing cover for the right winger. Bags of stamina meant he could play most games and his perfect crosses helped bag loads of goals. Strong at the back, most wingers struggled to get past him.

      Marquinhos
Another young centre back, partnering with Mangala in defence. Usually a rock, although he did make a few mistakes. Tackling with the force of a tank, his most important contribution came at the other end, scoring the goal to give us the lead in the FA Cup Final. No growth in his ability though.

      Fernando
Swapping in and out with Gerrard, this young Brazilian played excellently. The future replacement for Steven, he passed excellently and scored some great goals as well. Strong in front of the defence as well, he could win the ball and play a peach of a ball forward.

      Javier Pastore
No where near as good as he promised, scoring just once in his 12 appearances. His passing though, was excellent, playing balls to the SAS all the time.

      Winner
      Fernando

      Young Player of the Season

      Nominees

      Luke Shaw
A brilliant left back, causing trouble for any winger that took him on. Tall and strong, he won all aerial battles and he's not afraid to stick his foot in. He made brilliant blocks to deny otherwise certain goals.

      Marco Verratti
The Italian midfielder, the next Gerrard, with pace. Quick off the mark, scoring some great goals and playing some great passes. Him and Rakitic in midfield are formidable, and the chemistry between himself and the attack was great.

      Raheem Sterling
No where near as good as last season when he was top scorer but still good with plenty of assists. Racing down the wing, his pace could not be countered. Of course, he scored 2 of the most important goals of the season in the Champions League Final.

      Fernando
The young Brazilian, up for his second award for the same reasons as before.

      Winner
      Marco Verratti

      Player of the Season

      Luis Suarez
Scored a large number of goals, his dribbling was magic. Beating every defender, making a mockery of them with the step overs. He has great chemistry with Sturridge and had an offer come for him of £60.5 million. That's how good he is.

      Daniel Sturridge
Top scorer. Lightning quick. He was brilliant. 20 goals in the league and 32 in all competitions. Loads of beauty's involved in that as well, including 30 yard screamers with the outside of his boot.

      Ivan Rakitic
Started the season excellently. Impeccable passing all season long. He didn't score many, but when he did, they were stunners. He was a brilliant force in a brilliant midfield.

      Elaquim Mangala
A rock at the back who only made a small number of mistakes. Most strikers couldn't escape him. He was also a formidable force from corners, scoring 6 goals in the season. Unfortunately, no attribute growth.

      Winner
      Daniel Sturridge

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

Hello I am new to this website and new member I would read a lot of these posts and got alto of good ideas for my fifa 14 career modes previously I have done man united changing their whole squad into a more epl style team with tough center backs like bonucci and astori and selling most of their old core glory day players, usually now for career modes I like picking a team with no so many great players or just a decent budget to get a solid first team then build up over seasons
I just started a career mode with zenith and have put them into the Barclays premier league, no matter what team I am for a career mode I always put them in the bpl, and also put in other teams from other leagues insated of playing the same English teams all the time,

so far for zenith I have sold danny kyrzhakov and brought in everton ribeiro from cruziero and luis Muriel, also have bought another very promising center back in chancel mvemba from standard liege starting my pre season games hope to be done them by today

Cardiff City Football Club Career Mode
          Breaking news
After the brutal sacking of former manager Malky Mackay, Cardiff have signed Mr BossMan on a four year deal just four days after. The former Yeovil Town and Watford full back has little coaching experience apart from a brief stint as assistant manager at Yeovil. It has been reported by Sky Sports that owner Vincent Tan brushed aside more experienced heads such as Michael Laudrup before being wowed by BossMan’s footballing brain and big ambitions for the club.
A Cardiff spokesman had this to say about the recent appointment
"After much deliberation and many interviews, we are pleased to announce that Cardiff City FC have appointed Mr BossMan as manager of the club. He has been signed on a four year deal and will hopefully bring us success and glory to the club. His first press conference will be in two days."
Question – What do you think you can bring to this club, and what makes you different to other managers, namely your predecessor Malky Mackay?
BossMan – I think I have a real aptitude for football, I grew up around it and I feel like I have lived many footballing lives, from player to fan and now to coach. I have experience on the pitch as well as of it and I think that’s something many managers do not have. I also like to think I am quite good at developing relationships with players, hopefully that will shine through in the games and training sessions. I think Malky is a great manager, but I think him and I are very different. I wish him all the best
How far do you think you can take this club?
BM – Ideally in the first season I think mid-table would be my goal. I think the team does need work and I need to see where. However later on in my managerial stint, who knows? I would like to think that with some signings and a few seasons of playing as a team, I think we could really be challenging at the higher end of the table.
Which aspects of the team do you feel need the most work?
BM - Ideally everywhere, the team has a strong core of players like Steven Caulker and Gary Medel however I feel like our strength in depth is what may let us down later on in the season. The premier league season is packed with games both weekend and mid-week. I don’t want injury to let us down when it comes down to the wire. I think a youth academy is also crucial for success in later years. I’d like to set that up as soon as I can
Your first game is against West Ham. What are you hoping for?
BM - A win, why wouldn’t I be. West Ham, I would’ve thought will be near us in the table. To achieve our goals this season we need to be winning games like this. If we don’t, we can kiss premier league football goodbye.

After a successful season, the board rewarded me with £114.5 million to spend as I please. This transfer window is going to be great. Unfortunately though, Suarez wanted to leave. Verratti 81
              E. Hazard 89
              Balotell 90 (p)

In this curtain raiser for the season, we took the lead through a stunning goal by Rakitic into the top corner. Thorgan Hazard levelled with a header before Benzema got a header of his own. After Verratti's equaliser, Eden Hazard slotted in. In stoppage time, McManaman ran through and was tripped, giving Balotelli the chance, and of course he converted the penalty. We lost on penalties after Gerrard, Sturridge and Rakitic all had their penalties saved.

On the first game of the season we took the lead through a goal by Sterling, sliding the ball under Hennesey. Balotelli then got his first BPL goal for us on the rebound of a Sterling shot. Sturridge then scored on the rebound of a Sterling header before Balotell expertly volleyed in for the fourth.

              Match 2

              Liverpool 3-1 Spurs

              Rodriguez 58

Spurs got the advantage when Eriksen split through the defence and smashed into the top corner. From a Gerrard corner, débutante Hummels headed off the bar, but then slid in the rebound to equalise. Sturridge bundled in after Reina saved a Balotelli effort. Another débutante, Rodriguez, back from injury, smashed in to wrap it up.

              Copa Europe

              Liverpool 3-1 Valencia

              Jonas 70
              Sterling 90

We took an early lead when Ings ran in and cut back for Rakitic to fire home. The advantage was doubled when Mangala headed in perfectly from a corner. Jonas scored for the Europa League winners (who had beaten Man. City in the final) before Sterling rounded the keeper to seal the win.

              Match 3

              West Ham 1-5 Liverpool

              Allen 31
              Downing 40
              Balotelli 72
              Borini 75

An easy match for a side of our quality. Even fielding a reserve side with a few stars. Balotelli opened the scoring expertly finding the bottom corner. Borini headed in for our second. Allen was expertly picked out by De Sciglio to head home. Downing got a goal back, thundering into the roof of the net, but Balotelli smashed into the top corner. Borini calmly put away the fifth of the match.

              Next Match: BRISTOL CITY

What I was very disappointed with though, is that the commentators didn't have anything to say about the team. In fact, they didn't even say the name in the beginning. Pretty whack. Regardless, I think I'm gonna give them a go. I'm going to restrict my transfers to only English players and surrounding countries. The only transfer I have in mind is Max Clayton from Crewe Alexandria. In FIFA 13 I brought him into my Leeds career (my longest career ever, accidentally deleted) he failed to impress but I figured he'll have more room to shine in League 2 until he can grow.

Anyone know any good free agents? I hate that with the global transfer network I can't see their stats. AFC Wimbledon held trials for free players (since this is a team built by fans they don't have the funds to purchase, so they held try outs and signed free agents) so I'm gonna try to do something similar by signing free agents. Any recommendations?

There is a RB called Camdal who is 61 ovr and is very pacy can play RB and LB and has 4 star skills

Also Pedro Azogue, 63 ovr, 18 yo

You can get really good free agents in the game just check out my other forum called "Awesome Free Agents"

Reise Allassani (CAM) and Jordan Ibe (ST) in a 4231 (wide) play soooooo well together try to get them loaned to you with the option to buy at the end of the season and pick up some free agents at the beginning to sell in January so u can afford them. Allassani is always moving once he passes the ball away and jordan makes great routes for Allassani to play to him.

                          Making Them Dream
                          SEASON 3

                          League Cup Match 1

                          Bristol City 0-4 Liverpool
                          Alonso 19
                          Ings 28
                          Sterling 38
                          McManaman 88

Xabi Alonso, on his first match back in Liverpool colours, tapped in expertly on the volley for his first goal. Ings then smashed in from the edge of the box from a badly cleared corner. Sterling made it 3, smashing in from 25 yards. McManaman wrapped it up late on, tapping in the rebound.

                          Match 4

                          Liverpool 2-1 Arsenal
                          Sturridge 63
                          Ramsey 76
                          Verratti 90

After hitting the woodwork twice, and having the keeper save many attempts brilliantly, Sturridge broke the deadlock, smashing in off the post. Ramsey equalised undeservedly with a header. Verratti won it with a header of his own.

                          Champions League Match 1

                          Liverpool 1-1 FC Porto
                          Defour 45
                          Lallana 58

Defour opened the scoring for the Portuguese side, curling in after sloppy defending by Ilori. Lallana equalised with a stunner from 30 yards into the top corner. We should have won but we didn't take our chances.

                          Match 5

                          Stoke 1-2 Liverpool
                          Sturridge 29
                          Arnautovic 35
                          Rodriguez 53

Sturridge opened the scoring with an outside of the foot shot from outside the box. Arnautovic levelled it, breaking through the defence and slotting in. Rodriguez cut inside and smashed it in to win it.

                          League Cup Match 2

                          Watford 1-5 Liverpool
                          Pastore 33
                          Ings 38
                          Ings 49
                          Sterling 65
                          Deeney 67
                          Pastore 79

Pastore opened the scoring, smacking it in off the post. Ings then thundered in after being played through by Pastore. Ings scored again just after half time when he rolled in with his left foot. Sterling headed in from a Pastore cross. Deeney got on the end of a long ball to roll in but Pastore smacked in off the post again to make it 5.

                          Match 6

                          Liverpool 1-0 Manchester United
                          Balotelli 60
Balotelli got the only goal of the game with a header from a Rodriguez cross. Lindegaard played amazingly, saving basically everything. Hummels got an injury to the Lateral Collateral Ligament and he is out for 4 months.

                          Champions League Match 2

                          Lokomotiv Moscow 1-2 Liverpool
                          Samedov 26
                          Ings 61
                          Lallana 67

Samedov gave the Russians the lead with a header that Mignolet just watched go into the net. Ings levelled it with a header of his own from a tight angle before Lallana smashed into the top corner with his left foot to win it.

                          Early Season Thoughts

The team is looking strong throughout, with excellent strength in depth. I need to try and get Suso more involved to allow him to reach his potential. The Hummels injury means I may want to loan a defender in January, because Marquinhos and Ilori being my other centre backs, there is no more back up. My youth academy is looking strong, with a 16 year old Brazilian who has 87 potential. Mignolet is the only weak spot in my team, so I shall look to sign a new keeper in January. However, if Mignolet starts to play well I shall leave him as first choice.

                          Next Match: EVERTON

Go ahead. I probably won't do that idea anyway as I played a few matches and didn't enjoy it.

So just a quick update on my Wanderers Career

I have just finished my fourth campaign, and once again won the Playoff Championship, so that is now 4 back to back Championships for me and Wanderers FC. I decided it was time for me to move on, so I took the job at Perth Glory (who has finished 10th, bottom, for the last 3 years) and want to bring them some glory also.

HOWEVER, FIFA decided that I was having too much fun in Australia, and when I went to continue my career, it did not schedule me any matches. None, like not even friendlies. So sadly I have to start over, but I think this time in order for me to play for something, I'm going to move the A-League to the Irish Airtricity league, so I'll have a chance to play in Europa every year. That's where I stand at the moment.
