    Making Them Dream
    SEASON 4

    Match 16

    Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool
    Balotelli 40
    Ramsey 49

Balo smashed in a beauty from 30 yards into the top corner but the Gunners salvaged a draw through a Ramsey header.

    Champions League Match 6

    Liverpool 4-1 Celtic
    Pastore 10
    Johansen 26
    Ronaldo 45
    Ronaldo 55
    Sturridge 76

Pastore headed in early on to give us the lead over the Scottish champs. Johansen equalised with a curling effort before Ronaldo smashed in on the edge of half time. He then headed in to make it 3 before Sturridge smashed in.

    Match 17

    Liverpool 1-1 QPR
    Austin 45
    Pastore 77

Austin smashed in on the edge of half time to give QPR the lead but Pastore hit it hard and low into the bottom corner to salvage an undeserved draw.

    Match 18

    Newcastle 1-2 Liverpool
    Sissoko 12
    Ronaldo 37
    Ronaldo 61

After Sissoko gave Newcastle a deserved lead, driving at the defence and smashing into the top corner. However, Ronaldo ran through and smashed into the roof of the net. He won the match, getting on the end of a Sterling cross.

    Match 19

    Liverpool 2-1 Southampton
    Ronaldo 10
    Jose Enrique 36
    Allen 86

Ronaldo opened the scoring from distance, curling into the top corner just out of reach of Kraft. Our former player Jose Enrique then equalised after roaming forward and smashing in the rebound of a Viola shot. Allen won it late on, hitting it hard and low under Kraft.

    Match 20

    Liverpool 3-2 Manchester City
    Jovetic 3
    Balotelli 28
    Hummels 40
    Pastore 63
    Nasri 83

Jovetic opened the scoring very early on after skilling through the defence and calmly slotting in. Balo equalised, smashing in after a pass by Ronaldo. Hummels gave us the lead after linking up with Schar, both up from a corner, and whacking in like an experienced striker. Pastore settled with a strike that went in off the post before Nasri capitalised on a goalkeeping error to give City hope.

    Thoughts

Not the worst month but McManaman, Ings and Ilori told me they wanted to leave. Hopefully I can get some good money out of them.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

Just had an annoying glitch in the transfer market.
I don't know if anyone remembers, but I signed Lewandowski on a pre-contract from Dortmund. So on July 1st I received an e-mail from my assistant saying that he had joined our club. I went on to "sell players" to loan out some youth prospects and ended up clicking onto Lewandowski's profile. And according to that he now playes for Real Madrid. Frustrated I went onto to team management and squad report and he wasn't there . So in case your wondering, yes I have to pay his 230k wages for him to play for one of my European rivals. I would release him but it costs 13 million and it doesn't let me sell him or loan him out. Absolutely brilliant, on the bright side, Diego's pre-contract worked, and I received a €30 million offer for Mata from City. Unwilling to sell him I counter offered a ridiculous €70 million.
And the lunatics accepted! They are working out a contract for Mata, Win! Win!
I will probably update in a few days, but I'm a bit inconsistent these things.
I also have a couple of other interesting transfer deals being worked out, more on that in a few days.

                Transfer news

Brighton & Hove Albion is pleased to announce that Nicklas Bendtner and Charles Aranguiz have joined up with Indiblue's preseason training camp in Barcelona, where we will play three friendlies against Elche, Espanyol and Stade Rennais.

Joining the squad are three players joining us on loan for the season ‒ Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo, who returns for another season with us; German winger Serge Gnabry, also of Arsenal; and Paris Saint-Germain reserve goalkeeper Alphonse Areola. The club has also signed Netherlands U21 defender Terence Kongolo from Feyenoord for a fee of £2.1 million.

Solomon March has joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan for the season, while two players have departed the club on a permanent basis. Leonardo Ulloa, who top-scored for Brighton in the Championship last season with 20 goals, has joined Monaco in a deal worth £6 million. David Lopez, his supplier-in-chief, has joined fellow Premier League side Fulham for £800,000.

                Total income: £6.8 million
                Total expenditure: £2.1 million

                Spoiler

                Brighton 6-0 West Ham
                Aranguiz 17', Bendtner 21' 28' (pen.) 40', Buckley 45' 85' (pen.)
Man of the match: Will Buckley

Brighton were a bundle of nerves prior to their Premiership debut, but things surely went their way today. The opening goal comes when the Seagulls win and take a free kick, Aranguiz getting on the end of the ball after a scrappy five seconds in the box. Bendtner scores his first goal for Brighton with a well-placed shot from the edge of the box, before winning and scoring a penalty less than 10 minutes later. He rounds out a debut hat-trick with a lovely header, nodding in after Adrian's save is parried his way. Buckley grabs a goal with a long-range effort just before half-time, and he wins and scores a late penalty to give Brighton a dream start to life in the top flight.

                Spoiler
Some really good signings, I like your smart use of loans to replace some of the players that you had to sell and of course Bendtner is paying dividends for you as well. That said, oh no poor West Ham...

That sucks so bad! I've heard about that happening with Lewandowski to a lot of other people. I'd say just use the money from the Mata sale to release him, unless the huge cut in wages doesn't hurt you.

                      Press Conference

Perhaps the best month for AFC Wimbledon since your arrival and it has really catapulted you to a comfortable position at the top end of the table. Any thoughts?

"Well we cannot let our guard down. Yes, there is a big difference between 3rd and 4th place, but we don't want 3rd place. The team has really shown that they have the talent to achieve more than just a mid table finish in the league and after winning the League 2 title last season, they're hungry for more silverware."

What sparked the ambition to go for 1st place, as opposed to a mid table finish which you had mentioned was your goal at the beginning of the season?

"No no, I had said that a mid table finish was a MINIMUM for us, not that it was our goal. There's a great understanding within the team and they have really embraced what the coaching staff wants from them. There's a lot of internal competition going on as well which has pushed the players to keep their game up at all times."

Based on goals in favor and goals against, you are currently the league's best defense with only 10 goals against. However, you are tied for the 5th best offense with 27 goals. What do you have to say about those that claim that Wimbledon have the tendency to "park the bus" and would you consider yourself as a defensive minded tactician?

"We have never played defensively. We never give the initiative to the opposition. We like to make sure the game is played our way which I would actually consider a possession based, attacking game."

Last question, Burnley and Coventry City have exposed Wimbledon's weaknesses recently. You have a very tough match against Liverpool coming up. Are you in any way worried that Liverpool will be able to expose those weaknesses as well but more effectively than Burnley and Coventry did?

"Every team has weaknesses and that includes Liverpool. Yes, Burnley and Coventry were tactically difficult but we were able to win both matches. Just like I'm sure Liverpool will be watching our game tapes, we'll be watching theirs as well. It's part of being a manager. I'm expecting a great match, and as always we're going for the win just like they will be."

World Class, 7 minute halves, no slider changes other than decrease in injuries.

I can't remember my player's overalls right now since I'm at work. I'll post them when I get home though. We're currently a 2 star team this is the formation I use: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1403571786.552851.jpg

Glad to hear you've enjoyed the career updates thank you! Yes you're correct I am divisions away from EPL. It goes EPL -> Championship -> League 1 -> League 2

                              Press Conference

Q: Dani Iglesias seems to be doing a good job filling in after the sale of Keirrison. However, the results haven't been the best possible. Do you think things would go differently if the sale hadn't been made?

A: Keirrison certainly had more chemistry with the rest of the starters, but that only came with time. Dani is doing great so far and I think we have a long term player in front of us. On another note Memphis Depay has done well since signing him and those funds came from the sale of Keirrison.

Q: Two more months left in the season and you sit just outside of the top half of the table. Where do you see this team finishing once it is all said and done?

A: I think we are a top half team. We may sit outside of it right now, but there is no reason to believe that we are not capable of being there. These players are getting better and each day of training is more promising than the last. You will see the results soon enough.

Q: Several players have played great for you so far this season. Who would you say has been most important to this team so far?

A: It is hard to pick just one, but if you made me choose at this moment I think I could go with our captain, Juan Dominguez. He has been outstanding while leading this group on and off the pitch. He has come up with timely goals as well as setting up several of his teammates showing that he isn't selfish by any means. He will be a hard player to ignore for anyone going forward.

AFC Wimbledon vs. Liverpool - Match Review

This year's Capital One Cup quarterfinal fixture saw Jamiec's Liverpool travel to Kingsmeadow to face AFC Wimbledon. Wimbledon were looking for a pass to their second consecutive Capital One Cup semifinal while Liverpool had the pressure of being clear favorites. Chavez had previously stated that Wimbledon were not going to defend and would be pushing for the victory. Unfortunately for him, he was not facing a League 1 side this time. Wimbledon started the match playing their trademark possession play, but were held really well by Liverpool and simply could not get past the midfield mark. Liverpool were quick to push forward as soon as they stole the ball but found it difficult to find space between Wimbledon's 3 centre backs. As soon as the Liverpool side realized this, they began to shoot from outside of the box. Wimbledon defended well though, and a there was always someone in the way to block Liverpool's long shot, until Daniel Sturridge shook Jack Midson off the mark and put in a powerful, outside foot shot that found the top corner of the net at minute 24. Goalkeeper Ross Worner dove for the picture, but there was no way he would be able to reach that ball.

Only 6 minutes later, Tyler Harvey and Tom Richards completed a series of fast touches between them to get through Martin Kelly who had been solid at right back, crossed it into the box to find Danny Kedwell unmarked and headed it into the net past Mignolet sending a clear message that they were not going down without a fight. The rest of the first half was dominated by Liverpool and Chavez was relieved to hear the halftime whistle.

Liverpool kicked off for the second half and immediately pushed forward with full force, only for Wimbledon to steal the ball and set up a counter attack! Danny Kedwell received the ball just outside the box and held it to wait for Jack Midson to run past. Midson was unable to control the ball but it rebounded off of Allen leaving him one on one with the keeper. At minute 47 Wimbledon were ahead 2-1.

The rest of the match Wimbledon struggled to create more danger as Liverpool went all out for the draw. The frustration was evident from the Liverpool players, to the point where many times Daniel Agger would be right outside of Wimbledon's box leaving Sakho behind as the only defender. Even with just one centre back at the back Wimbledon were unable to create a chance as Kedwell was alone up front, that is until Wimbledon sparked a counter attack yet again this time at minute 87 against a lonely Sakho with no backup. Danny Kedwell headed the ball into the net again and ended all of Liverpool's hopes to come back with only 3 minutes left to play.

Final Score: AFC Wimbledon 3 - 1 Liverpool

The Liverpool players were stronger, faster, and more dangerous, but they lacked one thing: patience.
