Thanks glad to be back!
I signed Pirlo for some much needed experience after Kaka and Robinho left. I was also sad to let them go as they are two of my favourite players in real life. But I needed a younger replacement for Kaka and a CDM badly and this was the only way I could afford it seeing that I've spent all my money
Might look towards signing them back next season and letting them retire at MilanComment

Hey guys
I haven't seen a thread about the FIFA World Cup Game so I was wondering if you would be interesting in reading a full FIFA World Cup campaign on the game. If there is already a thread that I have missed, could someone guide me to it please?Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
@indiblue: Best of luck trying to bring players in... tough budget to deal with. I know Ings is a solid player but not fantastic in the Prem straight away as he has struggled for me once I picked him up in Season 2 (in BPL play). That said he has good pace and suits a good passing style, not sure what you're playing based on bringing in Bendtner. Should be pretty affordable though which is a good thing!Comment

Press Conference
Q: You sold Keirrison but failed to bring in a striker to replace him. This seems to have caused some issues with your attacking options so far having some tough results this month. Is there a reason you didn't bring in a striker to replace Keirrison?
A: I am confident that Dani Iglesias will be able to step into that role. Everyone is getting used to playing with him right now so some of the service isn't the same as when Keirrison was at that role. Once everyone gets on the same page the scoring will pick up and he will be able to do the same things that Keirrison was doing for us.
Q: The biggest signing you made this transfer window was Memphis Depay. Can you tell us a little about him and why you went after him?
A: Depay is a player that has the ability to be someone very special. He has all of the talent and I feel that it just comes down to coaching now as to whether he will fulfill his potential or not. I think this is the perfect place for him to come and grow as a player. I think the combination of him and Suso on the outside will be great. They will be a handful for defenses to handle.
Q: You were knocked out of the Copa Del Rey. With only league games left to play how do you see your team finishing this season?
A: It was tough getting knocked out of the cup, but we just didn't play well enough to have a chance to move on. This gives us the chance to have our concentration completely on the league campaign now going down the stretch. I am confident that we will be able to finish in the top half of the table where we stand now. I am excited to be coming down the back-stretch of the season now!

Brighton & Hove Albion
Taking Flight
Transfer news
Brighton & Hove Albion is pleased to announce that Nicklas Bendtner and Charles Aranguiz have joined up with Indiblue's preseason training camp in Barcelona, where we will play three friendlies against Elche, Espanyol and Stade Rennais.
Joining the squad are three players joining us on loan for the season ‒ Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo, who returns for another season with us; German winger Serge Gnabry, also of Arsenal; and Paris Saint-Germain reserve goalkeeper Alphonse Areola. The club has also signed Netherlands U21 defender Terence Kongolo from Feyenoord for a fee of £2.1 million.
Solomon March has joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan for the season, while two players have departed the club on a permanent basis. Leonardo Ulloa, who top-scored for Brighton in the Championship last season with 20 goals, has joined Monaco in a deal worth £6 million. David Lopez, his supplier-in-chief, has joined fellow Premier League side Fulham for £800,000.
Total income: £6.8 million
Total expenditure: £2.1 million

Preseason 2014
Brighton 1-3 Elche
Mutch 21', Buckley 35' 81'
Boakye 37'
Man of the match: Will Buckley
Mutch scores a volley off a corner before teeing Buckley up on the edge of the box to make it 2-0. Brighton are able to play the ball around without much hassle, working on fitness and prioritising shape retention. Unfortunately, a silly slip-up in defence gives Elche an easy goal, but Buckley grabs a late second to seal the deal.
Espanyol 1-1 Brighton
Albin 45'
LuaLua 32'
Man of the match: Tomasz Kuszczak
LuaLua is gifted possession in midfield by a lazy Espanyol, and he darts nearly 45 yards to get one-on-one with the keeper and drive home a low, powerful shot. Slack defending costs Brighton another clean sheet as Albin manages to round Areola and pass into an empty net.
Brighton 1-0 Stade Rennais
Aranguiz 50'
Man of the match: Charles Aranguiz
The only goal of the game is a tidy tap-in from new boy Aranguiz, who has been a shining light in midfield since the first game against Elche.
Preseason 2014
Won: 2
Drew: 1
Lost: 0
Indiblue's analysis: I said last season that I only look at preseason as a measure of fitness and chemistry. That said, it's always nice to enter the season with the confidence of having positive results.
********************
August 2014
Brighton 6-0 West Ham
Aranguiz 17', Bendtner 21' 28' (pen.) 40', Buckley 45' 85' (pen.)
Man of the match: Will Buckley
Brighton were a bundle of nerves prior to their Premiership debut, but things surely went their way today. The opening goal comes when the Seagulls win and take a free kick, Aranguiz getting on the end of the ball after a scrappy five seconds in the box. Bendtner scores his first goal for Brighton with a well-placed shot from the edge of the box, before winning and scoring a penalty less than 10 minutes later. He rounds out a debut hat-trick with a lovely header, nodding in after Adrian's save is parried his way. Buckley grabs a goal with a long-range effort just before half-time, and he wins and scores a late penalty to give Brighton a dream start to life in the top flight.
Wigan 1-1 Brighton
Watson 4'
Bendtner 85'
Man of the match: Ben Watson
Perhaps Brighton approached this game the wrong way, assuming that Wigan would play like they did last season. Conceding via an early set piece is the first mistake, and failing to equalise until a late corner is the second. Brighton will have to be a bit more direct in future games to avoid dropping points.
Brighton 1-2 Chelsea
Bendtner 7' (pen.)
Mata 32', Mandzukic 80'
Man of the match: Thibaut Courtois
An early penalty might have given Brighton a bit more confidence than they should have had. There's no stopping Mata's exquisitely placed equaliser, and Mandzukic dominates the box to head home late on. People say Brighton attacked too much, that they should have been pragmatic and defended while Chelsea attacked.
August 2013
Cup: N/A
League: 4/9 points
Indiblue's analysis: For a club of our background and stature, this is not a bad start to life in the Premier League. Winning the opening fixture 6-0 will give us the momentum to take things forward and avoid relegation this season, but we need to be tighter at the back.
********************
September 2014
Brighton 2-0 Liverpool
Buckley 45' 61'
Man of the match: Will Buckley
LuaLua hits a long cross late into the first half, and Buckley is on the end of it. He dribbles past three men in red before putting it past Mignolet. Around the hour mark, he dispossesses Joe Allen in Brighton's half, playing a series of one-twos before cutting across the box and hitting a curling shot into the top corner.
Arsenal 2-1 Brighton
Oxlade-Chamberlain 54', Llorente 85'
LuaLua 67'
Man of the match: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Brighton were comprehensively beaten by a better side today. The first Arsenal goal comes as Giroud plays a lovely cutback into the box, and Ox-Chambo is on hand to tap home. Llorente manages a late shot from a very tight angle to secure three points for Arsenal. Brighton were helpless for both goals.
Barnsley 3-2 Brighton (Capital One Cup)
O'Grady 45' 66' 104' (pen.)
Gnabry 40', LuaLua 90'
Man of the match: Chris O'Grady
Quite possibly the most riveting game of Brighton's season thus far. Gnabry opens the scoring and his account with Brighton with a routine shot from inside the box, but O'Grady soon equalises when he's given too much space. He grabs a second with a screamer that surprises Kuszczak, but LuaLua dummies and equalises well into injury time. In extra time, Kongolo makes a sloppy tackle in the box, conceding a penalty. O'Grady tucks it away for his hat-trick and the win.
Brighton 0-1 Newcastle
Cabaye 72'
Man of the match: Gordon Greer
A very fast-paced match highlighted by quick yet accurate passing from both sides and plenty of pressure. Cabaye's single moment of genius to chip a through ball over Kongolo lands at Ben Arfa's feet, and he plays the ball back into the path of the onrushing Frenchman, who finds the net without any controlling touch.
September 2014
Cup: Knocked out of the Capital One Cup
League: 3/9 points
Indiblue's analysis: We could have done better to stay in the Capital One Cup, but now that we're out, there is no excuse for us not to buck up and start picking up points in the league. Will Buckley has justified my decision to give him the number 10 shirt with a string of amazing performances, and we'd be far worse without Charlie Aranguiz orchestrating our attacks from midfield.

Great to read your in-depth analysis again
Could you by some chance give us a squad report before or after the January transfer window?

A funny thing happened when I tried to sign Pirlo

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Making Them Dream
SEASON 4
Champions League Match 4
Sporting Lisbon 2-3 Liverpool
Rodriguez 18
William Carvalho 36
Shaw 59
Rodriguez 87
Adrien Silva 88 (pen)
Rodriguez opened the scoring, curling in from distance. Carvalho equalised with a thunderous strike into the roof of the net. Shaw regained the lead with a header from a corner and Rodriguez ran through to make it 3. Immediately after kick off, Lovren tripped Montero and Capel converted the penalty.
Match 12
Derby 2-2 Liverpool
Balotelli 25
Coutts 31
Verratti 65
Coutts 77
We couldn't contain the newly promoted Rams and after Balotelli headed in, Derby played with added determination with Coutts levelling with a tap in after a passing move. Verratti regained the lead with a deflected shot from the edge of the box but Coutts headed in to rescue a deserved draw for the Rams.
Match 13
Liverpool 1-0 Manchester United
Shaw 16
After Balotelli's shot was blocked, Shaw ran onto it and smashed the ball past Lindegaard with a low strike. Luke is now on a brilliant scoring spree for a left back.
International Friendlies
England 1-2 South Africa
Ndlovu 27
Parker 45
Sturridge 83
It was a shocking display by England. With 39% possession we couldn't keep the ball or get it off them. Ndlovu smashed in and Parker curled in on the counter attack before South Africa just began to pass it around. Sturridge headed in but it wasn't enough.
England 1-0 South Africa
Milner 76
Odd decision by the FA to schedule 2 home matches against the same opponent. We were dominated once again but we defended well and Milner smashed in to win it.
Match 14
Everton 1-2 Liverpool
Balotelli 10
Browning 15
Balotelli 76
Balo headed in early on from a Rodriguez cross before Browning headed in from a corner. Balo smashed in from distance to win the Merseyside derby. Unfortunately Rodriguez picked up a hamstring strain.
Champions League Match 5
Milan 2-2 Liverpool
Martinez 6
Shaw 39
Ronaldo 68
Martinez 84
Martinez opened the scoring with an early header before Shaw equalised from a corner. Ronaldo headed in but Martinez curled in to equalise late on. It could have been worse but Honda fired a penalty into the crowd in stoppage time.
Match 15
Liverpool 6-0 Hull
Ronaldo 10
Pastore 17
Ronaldo 38
Sterling 51
Sterling 59
De Sciglio 74
What a demolition. The Liver-birds took on the Tigers and flew away with 3 points. Ronaldo headed in before Pastore curled in from the edge of the box. The Portuguese man then smashed in from distance. Sterling ran through and slid the ball under the keeper before heading in a Ronaldo cross. De Sciglio smashed in from distance to complete the rout.
League Cup Quarter Finals
Liverpool 3-0 Derby
Ronaldo 5
Sterling 61
Schar 73
I'll be honest with you, I simulated this match but Ronaldo got injured for a week. Damn.
Thoughts
Not a bad month at all in my book. I have in my head who I am going to sell and buy. I also have some consideration to do, do I stay at England?Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
That depends, are they your favorite? If so I don't see why not. Only other reason is you're so into Liverpool that you don't want to play international games right now, that would be fine too. What I did when I was with Spain as they offered to re-up for another year was stall and see if something more interesting was offered. Lucky for me it happened.vrabbit
