HOW in the world are you anywhere near getting bored in this CM? You have so much to do still! Keep it going!

I guess I was just in a whiny mood last night, disappointed at my own success as weird as that sounds lol doesn't help that I keep thinking about future career ideas with Leeds, Guadalajara, and possibly Union Berlin. I was just reading Indi's update and it hit me: next season I'll be in the Prem (hopefully) and that will be a whole different challenge. Premier league clubs are always very difficult in cup matches, so it's gonna be a long season. Now I'm planning ahead on that one. Can't wait! I was actually thinking about dropping Hanson this past transfer window but no offers came in. Good thing I didn't let him go, because although he lacks technical ability and struggles playing alone up front, his strength and outstanding height will be very much needed in the premier league's style of play. Gornell cannot be benched, so I might consider going with a 2-striker formation next season. I'm anxious for it now!

Haha thanks Rabbit. I'm loving all these League 2 careers by the way! My year in League 2 has been perhaps my favorite so far. Texas, looking forward to your first Morecambe update. Is your career name your real name? I finally understand why your username is TexasBum now lol.

Eagle, send two of those goalkeepers on loan or they will all unite and lead a mutiny against you for not giving them playing time :0

Haha no it's not. I just thought creating a name out of my username sounder better than putting "Morcambe hire Texasbum06" Just worked out well that I was able to change it into Tex Bumosix. Just trying to be a bit creative.

My username is one I made a long long time ago that just stuck with me ever since. Basically I'm from Texas and my favorite number is 6. Also why I put the Houston part into the back story (my hometown).

Can't believe I didn't get it the first time. I totally see it now Texas-bum-o-six

What I actually thought of the first time was "Bumosix... That's an odd name for an American." Haha I picked up on the Texas and Houston part, just not the rest lol great back story!

Don't worry, that's how my work day usually goes. Now that I think of it that's probably why I'm at 94% of my data limit... Actually not even supposed to be on here right now but the addiction man! I just need my quick fix and then I'll turn off the data again. I told the lady that I'm close to my data limit because I was looking for hotels for our upcoming trip when I was at work, which isn't exactly a lie and very well could be the reason, but I think my FIFA withdrawals may have had a bigger impact on that... Lol

this is why, if EA could figure it out, having an Online Career mode in FIFA would be just awesome. Suppose chico, texas and I were all on the same platform: we could all be in the same League 2 careers with different teams and maybe even move up the English Football leagues at the same time. Would be WORLDS of awesome.

Achieving Online Career in FIFA is a tough challenge though

Yes, I have Otamendi with me. I'd accept a good offer for a LW or RW, as I prefer to play not such offensive, and perhaps another defensive midfield. On the other hand, I'll search for a forward too and try to grow the squad a bit for the three competitions.
I'm gonna sound like a broken record, but: Tomas Rincon. Especially if he's sitting in free agency. Otherwise you have to see what Hamburg is asking for.

I'm pretty sure we could fill up League 2 pretty good with people from this thread if they ever managed to do that. It would be amazing.

Hello guys and sorry for the delay. But here it is, the Hertha update (awesome music)! I think it's the September one... at least it should be.

Chico, don't you dare start a career with Union Berlin. If you do it, no more likes and replies for you. Great results in Europe, though.

I'm looking forward to your Shrimp FC career, Texie (can I call you that?). I'm just sad to see the Deportivo one go.

                    Challenging the Champions

                    September 2014

                    Stuttgart 1 - 5 Hertha
                    Ibisevic 10'
                    Ramos 4', 31', 77', Depay 35', Valencia 72'

                    Hertha 2 - 1 Borussia Dortmund
                    Lasogga 22', Valencia 90'
                    Schieber 55'

A really good and deserved result against a top team. Hertha played well, creating lots of chances. They got the lead with a header by Lasogga who was unmarked. Schieber equalized later and it looked like Hertha were going to lose two points. But then the super sub Enner Valencia scored in the last minutes after a wonderful counter attack.

                    Twente 2 - 3 Hertha, Champions League
                    Castaignos 21', 72'
                    Lasogga 11', Depay 26', Meyer 67'

A tough game for Hertha. They had many shots but couldn't score them. Twente got three chances and they scored thankfully only two. Once again Hertha showed how dangerous they are on the counter in their 3-1-goal. The Berliners got a great beginning to their European journey. But it's still worse than Wimbledon's. Ganchev has stated that he's thinking about resigning because of "doing worse than a Championship side".

                    Hannover 2 - 1 Hertha
Gaston Ramirez 37', Ya Konan 45'
                    Valencia 90'

The shocking result came after one of those games: the players create about 12 chances but put headers wide from three meters away from goal. And of course the goal came in the 90th minute. Ganchev was kicking bottles out of frustration and he got warned by the referee.

                    Hertha 4 - 0 Kaiserslautern
                    Drmic 21', Choupo-Moting 45', Rode 53', Depay 76'

                    Nuremberg 1 - 2 Hertha
                    Hasebe 35'
                    Lasogga 27', Valencia 85'

Hertha 2 - 0 Inter Milan, Champions League
                    Schar 34', Ginter 84'

Hertha got their first Champions League home win since 1998 at the sold-out Olympiastadion. The atmosphere was amazing and the 70.000 Germans got a spectacular gift as their club beat the Italian-Argentinian team. Hertha got three corners and a free kick from the edge of the box and they scored two headers from them.

                    League Table, October 1st

                    1. Hertha BSC, 27 pts
                    2. VfL Wolfsburg, 27 pts
                    3. FC Bayern Munich, 24 pts
                    4. Hamburger SV, 22 pts
                    5. Borussia Dortmund, 20 pts
                    6. FC Schalke 04, 17 pts
                    ------------------------------------
                    16. Borussia Monchengladbach, 6 pts (playoff spot)
                    17. Werder Bremen, 5 pts
                    18. FC St. Pauli, 2 pts

                    Press Conference

Good afternoon, Mr Ganchev, and congratulations on becoming first.

Thank you! I told you we would be at the top. And after beating Dortmund and Bayern 5 out of 6 times during this year-and-a-half, I can say that we deserve to be there. Hertha are the best team in Germany at the moment.

Aren't you too confident? How about the lose against Hannover?

They got really, really lucky. Did you watch the game? Our players weren't themselves! Someone had replaced my squad. But that result woke us up and we bounced back beautifully against Kaiserslautern.

Is it true that FC Barcelona and the Italian national team offered you a job?

Yes, it is true. But I didn't even think about accepting it. I will never manage a team like Barcelona, full of actors and animals. As for the Italian job, I haven't any intentions of taking an international job. I'm fully focused on Hertha and I want to work with my players every day, face to face.

Will you move to a bigger club after this season?

Isn't Hertha a big club? If it isn't, what classifies as a big club? I will not move to any clubs any time soon. I'm 100% focused on my job here in Berlin.

What do you think about your two Champions League games?

They were marvellous! We played really good football in both matches and we will continue to do so. I'm only disappointed in our result against Twente, it's a lot worse than the newly-promoted Wimbledon's. But right now going to the semi-finals seems realistic. But we need to stay calm and do our best.

Newly-promoted Wimbledon's? Are you talking about the midtable-ish League 2 side?

Yes, I am. I mean... no! What are talking about?! What's that thing called... what was it, Womblidome? Oh, it's already half past three. Gotta go, see ya! (Runs out of press conference calling someone)

Uhm... Mr Ganchev? Hello? Anyone? Was this it? Is this a joke or....?

                    .....................
(Ganchev's car drives past the press room)

Thank you for reading! I hope you have enjoyed this post! Any feedback and suggestions will be appreciated!

I don't mind lol. And yeah, the Deportivo one just got too big and took the fun out of it for me. I enjoy the fight to bring a team up from the bottom. It reminded me why I've mainly done League 2 careers ever since I started playing FIFA. It just makes it take longer to work your way up and makes you have to wait it out to start getting real money.

Nice results! It looks like Twente and Inter have just turned into punching bags for you and Chico haha.

Please no, don't do it! The actor thing is true and by animals my Mourinho-esque character meant the Dolphin and Suarez the Dog (I actually don't mind his biting in real life, he's a great player). And as a Madridista I would never take a Barcelona job. Plz giv dem pointz bak.

lol it's all good. I do have a problem with Suarez's biting but I agree he's a great player, although I wasn't thrilled that Barca went out and got him. I'm actually going to the RM-Inter game in Berkeley this Saturday, taking my dad who is a RM fan.

Yeah, I feel ya. I also was unhappy about his transfer and I felt bad for Liverpool. But hey, that's football. And of course the El Clasico has to be right after his ban ends... damn.

That's cool, hopefully Madrid wins. And I was wondering what team do you support? Chico supports Guadalajara, I support RM and Hertha, but how about you? I also don't know Texie's club.
