Bristol Rovers FC Appoint a Footballing Legend as a Manager!
After a month of speculation Bristol Rovers FC, who almost got relegated in Football League 2 last season, have appointed a new manager. The new boss is the 48 years old Bulgarian footballing legend Hristo Stoichkov. The man has coached the Bulgarian national team, Celta Vigo, Litex Lovech and CSKA Sofia in the past. Many fans are unsure about the appointment of the new manager and they have questioned his skill as a manager. Some of the fans who have checked the net for information about their new boss have protested the decision after finding out that Stoichkov's managerial career has been a failure. The Ballon d'Or winner of 1994 is known in his home country mainly for his coaching spell at CSKA Sofia which lasted only a month. Sky Sports managed were at the press conference when the new manager was revealed.
Why did you decide to join Bristol Rovers?
They had the best offer. Lots of ambition and their aim to reach the Premier League three years is what I like. They trust me fully which was important to the decision. This will be an interesting challenge for me.
What do you think about the fans protesting your appointment?
Who gives a flying fu*k about the supporters in England? Just look at teams like Arsenal who are raising their prices year after year. The fans maybe hate me now but I promise them, they will love me when I leave the club.
What is your objective here?
As I said a minute ago, you dumb idiot, my aim is to get this rubbish team to the Premier League in a few years.
Are you going to focus on British players?
Absolutely not. I couldn't care less if my players are born in England, France of North Korea. If the player is good he'll play for us. Of course we'll be also focusing on British players who'll come through the academy, but that's not our main aim. At least yet.
What kind of players will you be looking to bring here in the Summer?
First of all, I don't even know the squad. Secondly, I don't know how much money I'll get.
What playing style will the team play under you?
It's simple, beautiful style. That style will get us success.
