Actually, scratch that. I'm sorry but after thinking about it for a few minutes I decided to not join you. I want to finish my season at Hertha. I'm sure you two will do really well!-Simppu12-

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Hey guys, I got the first month of Bury done... undefeated, but four draws in the league. Anyway, I wanted to come on and say I won't be on for a long time. I just got told at work today that they're sending me to Germany for 3-4 months. I'm excited, but I'll be leaving the PS3 behind. Fine by me, as I'm going to be attending loads of Dortmund games!
I've got plenty of visa stuff and paperwork to sort out, and I leave in less than 10 days, so this'll be it for me for the next couple of months. Keep the careers going, and I'll drop in when I can to read and comment. Good luck!Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Can we just use default please as I am half way through making them and I really don't want to start again to edit team. Sorry. I have done the Premier League and Championship. All teams are decided using their star ratingsComment

Yep, it's fine. Just type in here the teams when you've finished and then we can decide what teams we will do. Do you know what team you want to do?Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Update on my Freiburg career. I have properly sweated on this today
SEPTEMBER:
BUNDESLIGA:
Schalke 2–1 Freiburg
Paulo Dybala opened the scoring for Schalke after a fizzing cross from Farfan caught my keeper out of position allowing the young man to essentially tap into an empty net. I tried to press immediately but Schalke attacked with equal threat and maintained their lead into the break. In the 2nd half, my side lacked any adventure going forward and I was restricted to mainly crosses against a tall and strong Schalke backline. I pressed and pressed, but conceded a 89th minute goal to Hoger on the counter. Sidney Sam continued his good form at the start of this season with a wonderful solo effort to grab a consolation, but couldn’t overturn the deficit leading to my first defeat of the season.
Freiburg 1–0 Mainz
My 2nd game of the month saw me go up against the other promoted side from last season. I finished 13 points clear of them, and the gap was demonstrated perfectly in the 17th minute when Danny Hoesen spinned his man brilliantly before slotting the ball into the net with consummate ease. I expected my side to kick on after but just like the game against Koln, they failed to do so. Fortunately this time I didn’t concede and held on to record an important victory, even if it wasn’t the most glamorous.
Werder Bremen 0–5 Freiburg
Before the game I decided to change my formation to a false 9, the same that I’m running on my Cheltenham career. Plus it’s my favourite UT formation. Right from the start I felt a difference, and things began brilliantly when Sneijder cut in from the left wing before unleashing a 30 yarder that dipped into the bottom corner giving a 1-0 lead after just 3 and a half minutes. Things got better 30 minutes later, when a swift counter led by Darida was finished off by a cute chip from Locadia doubling my advantage. Just after half time I added a third. A long kick from Baumann after a Bremen corner found the chest of Sam. He accelerated away before squaring it to Sneijder for his 2nd of the game. From then I focused on keeping the ball, and did so without too much trouble. It enabled to me to grab a 4th, a lovely team goal finished off by Darida who was fully deserving of his goal. Darida then capped off his stellar performance with another assist for holding midfielder Xhaka to get his 1st goal of the season. All in all an fantastic win and the best performance of the season. The false 9 will certainly be staying for now.
Freiburg 3–2 Nuremberg
Due to fitness and people wanting to play, I had to change almost the whole starting 11, with Sneijder and Ginter the only players to keep their places. However, you wouldn’t have known it, because it took only 15 minutes to take the lead; an expert finish from Mlapa after a delightful reverse pass from Sneijder. Just 5 minutes later, the lead was doubled, with Ginter heading in his 2nd of the season. My 2 goal lead didn’t last for long though, with Drmic pulling one back after taking a deflection of Ginter sending stand in keeper Ortiz the wrong way. Fortunately, I was able to re-establish my 2 goal lead with a stunner from reserve LB Chris Gunter; after a mazy run, he cut in on his weak side and drilled one into the top corner. But the game was finished there, and when Nuremberg pulled one back with 9 minutes left on the clock, the tension started to build. A frantic final 10 minutes remained, but my defence showed its’ sturdiness and my goalkeeper (a 68 rated 18 year old) played more like Neuer between the sticks. I held on to secure my 3rd successive win after the away defeat to Schalke.
So at the end of September the standings sit like this:
Bayern Munich 25 points from 10 games
Wolfsburg 20 points from 10 games
Dortmund 20 points from 9 games
Leverkusen 20 points from 9 games
Freiburg 18 points from 9 games
Schalke 18 points from 9 games
Top scorers:
7 goals Mkhitaryan, De Bruyne, Lasogga
6 goals Sneijder, Falcao, De Jong, Martinez, Drmic
Top assists:
4 assists Sneijder and Mkhitaryan
My squad:
Sneijder is still playing brilliantly with 6 goals and 4 assists in 7 league games. Sam’s 3 goals have been important and he also has 1 assist to his name. I’m still expecting more from Locadia with him only having 3 goals in 7 games. But he does have 2 assists as well, and I feel the false 9 formation will suit him better. The defence isn’t as solid as I would like, but I’m yet to put to put my finger on what the problem is as yet. I know my keeper and right back need upgrading so maybe that’s the issue. Overall the squad is developing well, with Brooks and Xhaka already going up 2 stats in just 7 games. I’m also really excited for my youth academy. I have 3 or 4 players with 90+ potential so can’t wait to promote them. One has just become available and he has a potential of 88-94!! Unfortunately his overall is mid 50’s but I could play him in the cup and try to loan him out in the winter window.Comment
