Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

In my personal case, I finally decided to continue with FC Porto career. I started with QPR but before playing any game I don't feel really motivated.

I was enjoying my FC Porto career, so I returned. I'm gonna put the real names of the 3 teams unlicensed: Estoril, which real name is Estoril-Praia, C. Funchal which is IRL CS Marítimo, and V.Barcelos which is IRL Gil-Vicente (from Barcelos city hehe). The kits are the same IRL but no sponsors, so playing it doesn't really matter. Rest 13 teams are licensed so no problem, hope in FIFA 15 can be 100% .

PS: I'm writing this in the break of a CS Marítmo 1-0 Porto, hope I can draw in the second half at least

Alright guys, I've discovered I'm not so much the League 2 type myself, I guess I like the sort of big clubs, so, what I decided to do is stack the league. Here are the teams
        AS Monaco
        Arsenal
        Atletico Madrid
        Bayer Leverkusen
        Borrussia Dortmund
        Chelsea
        Everton
        FC Barcelona
        FC Bayern
        FC Schalke 04
        Juventus
        Liverpool
        Manchester City
        Manchester United
        AC Milan
        Napoli
        PSG
        Real Madrid
        Roma
        Spurs

Sorry for making it so long, just thought it'd be easier to read. I would greatly appreciate it if you all voted for any one of these teams, and then I can get started. Have a great day.
I'm down for Roma or Atletico Madrid

Edit: guess I was late lol

          Press Conference

Q: A great showing in the F.A. Cup as you knocked out West Ham in a surprise result. The football world definitely took notice of your victory and there are sure to be a few clubs keeping their eyes on you now. Does this victory validate anything about this squad for you?

A: It's a great win, and one that we felt was possible after how close the last cup tie we had with them was. This time we were able to be the ones to make the final push and take the match. We are excited at the chance to move further in this cup and our match against Reading for the next round is sure to be another challenge.

Q: You completed a lot of signings in the transfer window, but all are for next season. Do you think that you will be able to finish strong in league play this season without any changes to the squad?

A: These players have been great so far and it helped to give me the confidence to move forward with what we have and take advantage of the opportunity to add good players next season. The guys we currently have certainly won't back down from the challenge. They have their eyes set on promotion and we are going to do everything in our power to achieve that.

Q: The 5-0 smashing of Accrington really got the fans excited. Does a rivalry match like this really bring the extra motivation to provide results?

A: A match against Accrington is something we take very seriously. We don't like them and they don't like us. Cathal their manager was quite cocky leading into this match and we were happy to throw his words back at him. In the end we were clearly the better team. I knew it, my players knew it, and now we made sure that they know too.

Congrats on a great month. But curse you for beating Accrington 5-0.
We will have revenge then we'll see who's the better team

Olympique Lyon or Fiorentina would be some cool choices.

Hi guys. So I'm back from a few weeks on holiday and away from my xbox and am planning on doing a new career mode with Chelsea, my team. However I wanted to know if you would all like me to fully change the squads manually and sim forward to the beginning of the 2014/15 season so everything is up to date or just get on with the career mode and make the changes just for Chelsea whilst in the Career mode. It's great to be back and I look forward to starting this Career Mode. Oh and please leave some replies on the question as it would help a bunch.

                A bit about game setup:

FIFA 14 + Moddingway 3.1.0 + 6.0 Database + Latest transfers DB from Soccergaming forums + Fidel Advanced Gameplay Evolution.

Decided to do new Manager Career with Sporting Clube de Portugal.

Funnily enough, the database is so large and they have so many players in the team (loaned out too) that I couldn't make any transfer till January!

Sitting 2nd in league. Doing video series on this, you can almost say it's like live streaming each game (uploading only full games).

Here is the playlist if anyone is interested:

Change the squads manually but if you do it for Chelsea do it for the other teams aswell, that's my suggestion. And replace Fulham, Norwich and Cardiff with Leicester, QPR and the third team. Simulate the first season if you want to.

Glad to have you back. You have a lot of catching up to do. I'd say download latest and play through as normal, starting from 2013-14. Things to catch up on.

I would suggest catching up on vrabbit's Alcorcon and Dagenham careers, interesting reads. Indiblue's journey as Brighton was great but he's off to Germany for a couple of months. Simppu's Hertha career made a great read as does Chico_Bass's Wimbledon journey. Regens made a great character in Orlov and took charge of Sunderland, and me and him have began a collaboration super league. Texasbum's Morecambe career is great, there's been a lot of League 2 careers. I took over Newcastle and I hope that makes a good read. There are and were many more, Crystal Palace, Everton etc.

                      THE COLLABORATION PROJECT
                      AUGUST 2013-14

                      League Cup Round 1

                      Wolfsburg 2-0 Marseille
                      Perisic 22
                      Olic 36

Perisic opened the scoring, slotting into the bottom corner from the edge of the box. Olic made it 2, curling in from 10 yards.

                      A Big Signing
Belgium striker Christian Benteke has joined VFL Wolfsburg from League 2 side Aston Villa for £14 million plus Veirinha. More to follow.

                      Match 1

                      Wolfsburg 2-2 Real Sociedad
                      Benteke 17
                      Agirretxe 21
                      Vela 64
                      Benteke 87

Benteke smashed in from the edge of the box for his first goal in a Wolfsburg shirt but Agirretxe knocked in on the rebound for a dubious goal, as it appeared to have been cleared off the line. Vela dinked in after scrappy play but Benteke smashed in after being played through to salvage a draw.

                      Match 2

                      Lyon 2-4 Wolfsburg
                      Dost 5
                      Gustavo 45
                      Polak 53
                      Lacazette 55
                      Lacazette 89
                      Ochs 90

Dost volleyed into the top corner to open the scoring and Gustavo struck from 25 yards to make it 2. Polak slotted in before Lacazette smashed in. He then somehow squeezed the ball in at the near post. Ochs smashed in from just inside the box after some brilliant team play to make sure of the win.

                      A Surprise Deal
Raphael Varane has joined Wolfsburg on a season long loan in a surprising deal. More to follow.

                      Match 3

                      Wolfsburg 1-0 Bayer 04
                      De Bruyne 89
In an even match, the deadlock was finally broken with just a couple of minutes left when De Bruyne cut inside and smashed in.

                      Match 4

                      Marseille 1-0 Wolfsburg
                      Valbuena 17
A completely undeserved loss, Valbuena heading in at the far post for the only goal.

                      Match 5

                      Wolfsburg 2-1 Lazio
                      De Bruyne 14
                      Perisic 57
                      Elez 63

De Bruyne smashed in from outside the box before Perisic curled in the second. Elez got one back with a rebound tap in but we left with a win.

                      The Best of an Era
Former world player of the year Ronaldinho has joined Wolfsburg for £2.5 million, a deal that was only possible after Marcel Schafer left Wolfsburg for Benfica for £1.2 million. More to follow.

                      Press Conference

"So Jamie, this is one of your first ever press conferences. My first question is why did you sign Benteke and why did Veirinha go the other way?"
I felt we needed a young striker who could compete against the hardest of the opposition. He is a world class quality player who was playing in the lowest division, he deserves better. Veirinha left, not because he is a bad player, because he isn't, it's because we have younger alternatives of similar ability.

                      Next up Varane?
I still can't believe they accepted the loan offer. He is one of the best defenders around and we got him for nothing for a season!

                      Ronaldinho?
Who doesn't want a World Player of the Year. One of the best players of his era, he deserves to be in the super league system.

                              I see you didn't mention mine 🙅....

Q: Tough way to lose in the F.A. Cup to Reading. What was the reason for such a poor showing after such a great performance against West Ham the previous round?

A: I think we were just exhausted. The players have been playing a lot of matches in a short amount of time and I think it finally caught up to us. We weren't able to use our strongest lineup since we still have to fight for our place in league play. But regardless of the fatigue issues, Reading played great football today and all I can say is that they were better than us. If we get the opportunity to play them again in the future we will look forward to that match up.

Q: The top of the table is very close with Portsmouth leading the league while having a game in hand. With so many teams in contention for those automatic promotion spots, does Morecambe have what it takes to finish in the top 3?

A: Absolutely. If I had any other answer to that question I would wonder why the board brought me on. I have a desire to win, and the players have that too. They are going to give me everything they have out there each and every match and if anyone would ever question their effort they will have one angry manager to deal with. This squad is good. I'm not just saying that, I mean it. Once the season is over the rest of you will see how serious I am in my statements.

Q: You have made your first youth signing since taking over as manager. Morecambe hasn't traditionally had a successful youth development system, but you have certainly put some attention to it since taking over. What is your vision for the future of the Academy?

A: Yes, we signed a young goal keeper named James Watson. At only 15 yrs old, this kid has the potential to be a great player for this club. He will definitely be one to keep an eye on, and I don't think he will fail to impress. The youth system is extremely important for clubs to establish. Most of the great clubs around the world have a hand in developing many of the players that make them great. It allows you to grow and shape players in the way you want and in the way that fits the culture of your club. I am excited about the prospect of having players come through our system and represent a great future for Morecambe.
