    I don't think it's unrealistic as long as it's their first season and still 16. After that, I try offering them a contract even if they don't demand it so they can have the wage they deserve.

    I've had that happened to me, what you said in your first post. Except that even though they never bring it up again, sometimes their morale will say "feels he is underpaid" in green so I end up offering him a contract anyways so he can be happy lol

        How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

        It took them 3 weeks, but the Barclay's Premier League has finally released the official squad rosters for the 2016-2017 season! Of course, we publish the AFC Wimbledon squad roster for you, our loyal readers.

        AFC Wimbledon 2016-2017 Squad

        Starting Eleven (3-5-2)
        Star Denotes Youth Academy Players

        • GK - Ross Worner (vc) (69 OVR) - England

        • RCB - Harry Pell (67 OVR) - England

        • CB - Ryan Tafazolli (71 OVR) - England

        • RM - Elliott Hewitt (69 OVR) - Wales

        • **RCM - Mario Ruiz (67 OVR) - Mexico
        An Exciting Prospect. He played with the alternative squad against Olympiakos and it really surprised me how he took over the midfield. I wasn't considering him for a starting spot as last season he didn't stand out, but he just earned himself a spot in the 11.

        • **LCM - Shaun Vincent (70 OVR) - England
        Showing Great Potential

        • LM - Jacob Murphy (70 OVR) - England
        An Exciting Prospect

        • ST - Terry Gornell (68 OVR) - England

        •ST - Luke James (69 OVR) - England
        (Recently promoted to starting lineup)

        Reserves

        • **GK - Adam Cowie (59 OVR) - Scotland

        • **CB - Luke Draper (55 OVR) - England

        • CB - John Egan (66 OVR) - England

        • LB - Jim Fenlon (65 OVR) - England

        • RB - Barry Fuller (c) (63 OVR) - England
        (Recently demoted from starting lineup)

        • CDM - Sam Hird (62 OVR) - England

        • CM - Jake Nicholson (62 OVR) - England

        • CM - Matthew Saah (59 OVR) - England
        The reason he wasn't loaned out is because he can play CDM, a position we're extremely short on as you can see.

        • CM - Tyler Harvey (66 OVR) - England
        Showing Great Potential (recently demoted from starting lineup)

        • CAM - Luke Moore (65 OVR) - England

        • LM - Chris Arthur (63 OVR) - England

        • LM - Luke Freeman (69 OVR) - England

        • **LW - Diego Ortiz (68 OVR) - Mexico
        Has Potential To Be Special

        • ST - James Hanson (66 OVR) - England

        • ST - Jack Midson (58 OVR) - England
        Retiring End Of Season Don't be fooled by his low overall, this player continues to impress me each time he's on the field.

        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        Well, there you have it gents. I tried making it as short as possible for you. Any feedback welcomed!
              this isn't too bad actually. BPL worthy for sure but clearly a lower ranked team. I think you can achieve a top 10 finish but I'm not sure you'll get a spot in European competitions through the league as I'm not sure you're ready to unseat the Big 6
                don't you have Barkley? I'd suggest Leandro Paredes or Angel Correa but not sure either one is gonna be a lot better than Barkley
                  LABADDIA PREACHES IMPORTANCE OF SCOUTING, HIRES FOUR
                  June 27, 2013
                  Stuttgart -- Bruno Labbadia, manager of VfB Stuttgart, has always found scouting to be important, but budgetary constraints have limited the club in that area in recent years. However, this year the manager is investing heavily into both professional and youth scouting, hiring four scouts this past week. "You can have super star players at all 11 spots, but if your depth is bad, you will not win in this league. You really need 25 strong players, if you want to compete every year. We're strong, but we could be stronger. What happens if one of our best players is plucked by another club? We want to be ready. We want to have someone ready to step up and take over. That's what these men are here for."
                  The scouts are all German-born, highlighting Labbadia's focus on Bundesliga talent. "These are all men who have special relationships with Germany, and the Bundesliga. However, they also have many connections and relationships to other parts of the world. We won't be looking exclusively in Germany, but it's our own backyard, so we will of course have a heavy scouting presence here."
                  Julian Groß, 37, has been scouting for 8 years following a semi-professional career derailed by injuries. Björn Maggio, 42, has 4 years scouting experience at the Bundesliga level. The youngest of the three professional scouts is Giusseppe Rzatkowkski, 26. He has only been scouting for a year, but has proven to have a keen eye in Venezuelan leagues.
                  The youth scout has been around Europe for many years, both as a teacher and a scout. Michael Blaswich, 56, has worked for many Bundesliga clubs, including last year's champions Bayern Munich. "As important as it is to find players who are ready to step into the squad now, it is as important to keep the cupboards stocked. Michael is here to make sure we have great young players who will continue to keep Stuttgart successful into the future. We're building both for this season and beyond."
                      Well.. I'm back. I had a bit of Wi-Fi problems because of a storm that blew through and just did something to the internet [Who listens to the internet dudes anyways?] But, even though I wasn't gone long it was long enough for me to think, think, and overthink. I played a little of that career mode and just couldn't get into it, sorry Jamie :/. Good for storylines, I just didn't like it all that much. So anyways, I wanted to get this in so I could let Jamie know, as well as I'm going to have to start anew. I have thought of some teams, and then overthought so I'm gonna have to think some more and get back to you all.
                            Morecambe Confirms Trio of Signings
                            Morecambe has announced three new additions to the squad ahead of their Leauge 1 campaign. Tex Bumosix had hinted that signings were on the horizon and it appears that the words were not hollow. On the other end, four other players were also told good-bye as we receive reports of completed sales. The new players in are Jeremy Brockie, Jack Grimmer, and the board also completed the signing of Charles Itandje. The players on the way out include Andreas Arestidou, Alex Kenyon, Andy Parrish, and Jon Kempin.
                            Jeremy Brockie
                            The striker out of New Zealand has featured most recently for Wellington Phoenix in the A-League. Tex Bumosix raved about the strikers combination of size, strength, and speed and feels he will fit very well into the Morecambe system. He is projected to be an immediate option for first choice striker and he will come in looking to impress right away.
                            Jack Grimmer
                            The young player out of Scotland has represented his country at every youth level since the U-15's. He looks to have a bright future and comes in with the versatility to play both on the inside as well as the outside defensively. Morecambe are likely to use him as one of the outside center backs in their 3 back system as he provides an ideal combination of mobility and physicality to adapt to the position.
                            Charles Itandje
                            With Arestidou making his desire to leave the club public, the board went over Bumosix's head and secured the signing of Free Agent Charles Itandje. While Bumosix was not part of the negotiations, he signed off on the player once he was brought on. Itandje most recently represented Cameroon as the first choice keeper in last summer's World Cup. Bumosix was quoted saying he looks forward to the veteran presence Itandje will provide having played for some notable clubs as well as his international experience.
                            Transfers In
                            Jeremy Brockie - £465K
                            Jack Grimmer - £350K
                            Charles Itandje - FA
                            Transfers Out
                            Andres Arestidou - £70K
                            Alex Kenyon - £110K
                            Andy Parrish - £180K
                            Jon Kempin - £450K
                            Andreas Arestidou was unsettled due to his lack of playing time last season and made it publicly known that he wished to be sold as soon as possible. Alex Kenyon was a surprise sale as Bumosix transfer listed him over other midfield candidates. With the promotion of Jack Bowditch the midfield was too crowded with capable players and the writing was on the wall that someone would be on the way out. Andy Parrish was also rumored to be homesick and considering leaving the club. It was suspected that the arrival of Mark Ellis had him unsettled about his playing time, and the signing of Jack Grimmer appeared to be the nail in the coffin. Jon Kempin is the big name being sold after his Gold Glove performance from last season resulted in several teams making approaches. Ultimately a bid of £450K was accepted and Kempin was last seen saying his good-byes to his teammates and giving a big hug to Bumosix, the man who gave him a chance to make his name.
                              As you can see we started and finished the month with wins but had some unfortunate results throughout the month. The friendlies were fun, an opportunity to get a feel for the team. Ah, there's a 21 Y/O Peruvian kid called Yordy Reyna who has a sickening combo of acc/spd/agility/balance of 97/98/96/97 ... - yup, he's only 67 OVR so you can guess how short he comes in other areas but damn that's impressive. Oh, and he has a 5-star weak foot. The beatdown on Bradford was really nice and I thought we would build off of that but the loss to MK Dons (sorry chico) was a cold shower. It felt like the beginning of a hard fall when we started out losing against Yeovil Town but we were able to turn that around even though everyone but Osei and Ogogo was benched to rest for the Man U game. Yes, we eventually lost against a much superior team but we played well and I'm proud of the guys. There were only 8 shots in the whole game, 4 for each side, but Man U had 3 on goal while we were only able to get 1. I was shocked that we weren't able to score against Brentford after beating them 2-0 last month but nothing went in we almost had the same luck in that last game of the month if not for a bullet from just inside the box from Obafemi.
                              We're in pretty good shape though and I still think we can fight for a promotion spot this season, which I'll use to get some funds from the board. There are 7 games in October: 4 league games, round 2 of the J. Paint Trophy, and 2 more friendlies. The team has scored 14 goals: 5 by Scott and 1 a piece by 9 different players. Some of the newly resigned players have been barking at their playing time so that has been a challenge. Ian Gayle has requested to go out on loan in the next transfer window and I find his request fair and will try to grant him that.
                              We did send a scout out to Peru and he only brought us one player, which we signed. Here's the updated youth squad.
                              - Jamie Black (GK, 51-55 OVR, 72-78 POT): An intriguing 17 Y/O prospect from Scotland who stands at 6'7", 194lbs.
                              - Kagetoki Miyoshi (DEF, 57-61, 79-85): 16 Y/O kid from Japan who I expect will be a LB with a better fit at CB. Because I'm set at the position I'll probably wait until May to promote him unless he asks to be called up sooner.
                              - Stefan Reichel (CDM, 51-55, 69-73): 16 Y/O from Germany needs at least another season in the academy.
                              - Kenneth Hansen (MID/ATT, 47-49, 68-72): 15 Y/O from Denmark may need two more seasons in the academy.
                              - Manuel Burchert (CM, 46-48, 69-73): 16 Y/O from Germany who I though would have higher potential. Needs to wait one or two more seasons.
                              - Dario Verdejo (???, 37-49, 63-83)*: 16 Y/O from Peru is the newest addition to the squad. We're still trying to sort out his position.
                              * Denotes recent addition to the Y.A.
                              Any questions/comments let me know!
                                November
                                Chesterfield 1-3 Southend
                                James 27' 52', Futács 71'
                                Ryan 34'
                                The first match of the month involved the best performers in the league so far, Southend United and Chesterfield F.C. Chesterfield held the top spot by a single point prior to this match after Southend United faltered in previous matches against Bury and Northampton. The match was played in horrible snowy conditions and the ball rolled around the field like a pinball in a machine. The Chesterfield defense looked uncomfortable with the playing surface and Luke James took full advantage, slotting into the net after a Futács shot had been cleared horribly. Chesterfield did not stay down for long as Ryan simply tapped the ball into the goal after a comical touch by Bentley. The two sides exchanged more shots and the Shrimpers went ahead in the 52nd minute through a wonderful header from James. Futács worked himself into a great position down the wing and the cross was converted superbly. Futács himself rounded off the scoring after robbing a defender of the ball and curling it into the bottom corner.
                                Southend United 1-2 Newport County
                                Jolley 61'
                                Sandell 71', O'Connor 74'
                                Christian Jolley did not have the happiest of days as Newport County defeated Southend United in what is regarded as the shock of the season. Newport came into the match in 16th place, some 15 spots below Surajreet9's team and in the space of 4 second half minutes, turned the game around and handed Southend their first loss in the league. Jolley opened up the scoring against his former team with a simple finish after a breakaway. 10 minutes later, Southend fell apart. Sandell was fouled 30 yards out from goal and the 30 year old converted, curling the ball just above the immobile wall and into the top right corner. Less than 3 minutes later, Southend were shocked as Prosser misjudged a simple header and the ball fell to O'Connor who smashed it in. Surajreet9 was spotted with the most flabbergasted look on his face as his team surrendered meekly to the 16th place in the league.
                                Southend United 3-1 Wycombe Wanderers
                                James 6', Futács 10' 47'
                                Morgan 62'
                                Desperate to forget the loss against Newport County, Surajreet9 issued a rallying cry to his team and they responded, going up 2-0 within just ten minutes against Wycombe. Conor Clifford was the architect of both goals as James first finished under the onrushing Ingram before Futács latched on to Clifford's fantastic long pass and shot it in off the near post. Wycombe rarely threatened and Southend could have had more if not for some brilliant saves from Ingram. Despite the performance, Futács stole the ball off of a defender and finished past Ingram fantastically. Morgan got a goal in the 62nd minute through a half volley but it proved to be a consolation as Wycombe were swatted aside. Futács won his 9th man of the match award this season after the match.
                                Rotherham United 2-1 Southend United
                                Jolley 30'
                                Frecklington 45', Hitchcock 95'
                                Southend United were eliminated from the Johnstone Paint Trophy after yet another Bentley blunder. Surajreet9 has kept his faith in the 20 year old, citing his age and lack of experience as reasons for his inconsistency, but against Rotherham, we once again saw Bentley's clumsy side. Jolley opened up the scoring for Southend after Laird had sent in a cross for the striker to head past a sprawling Shearer. However, it was the goal just before halftime that brought resounding boos for Bentley. Frecklington picked up the ball 20 yards out and scuffed a shot which Bentley misjudged, causing the slowest shot in the cup so far to be scored and put Rotherham back on level terms. A midfield struggle in the second half led to no goals and extra time was forced where Hitchcock rounded Bentley, cheekily waited 3 seconds and simply tapped it in, eliminating Southend.
                                Surajreet9 believes in Bentley
                                "I feel that people are unfairly judging David after just a few mistakes. He is just 20 years old with his whole career ahead of him. You don't think the likes of Manuel Neuer or Gianluigi Buffon have ever made such mistakes at the beginning of their careers? David is trying his best. That's all I can ever ask and he will prove to you why I rate him so highly"
                                Southend United 1-0 Fleetwood Town
                                Futács 45+3'
                                Southend United recorded their first clean sheet in 4 games as they overcame a resilient Fleetwood side to gain three points and extend their lead at the top of the table. Bentley was chosen despite his horror show against Rotherham United but wowed the crowd with some fantastic saves to deny Fleetwood Town. Futács scored the only goal of the game as he outmuscled a defender and smashed the ball into the back of the net. Bentley was voted man of the match for his performance.
                                Rochdale 0-1 Southend United
                                Leonard 17'
                                Bentley once again kept a clean sheet as Southend recorded their second one goal victory in 2 games. Rochdale threatened early on in the first half but Ryan Leonard found the breakthrough, speeding into a pocket of space behind the defense to slot into the bottom corner. The match soon turned stale after and the only excitement that occurred was when a fan got on the pitch and hugged Márko Futács. Leonard was voted the man of the match.
                                Yeah I forgot to get the points for the teams. I'll do that in the next update. Sorry
                                Thoughts
                                Bentley has been very inconsistent and while he improved in the later games, I may pick up a new goalie just to challenge him. I don't really have a solid backup goalie right now. The only ones are 50 rated. Futács really stepped it up for us in recent games, adding assists as well. Luke James is scoring, not as much as I like but you'll see in the next update I'm still selling Garrero and Straker and I have replacements lined up along with other players I was looking at. Once again, the December update will reveal a lot lol. Plenty to look forward to. Thanks for reading!
