Press Conference
So first things first, Germany. Why did you choose to manage them?
Quite simply they are an excellent team. As you well know I am an admirer of Toni Kroos, and another player we targeted in both January and the summer was Mesut Ozil. I have signed Gundogan and can now work with him so he is used to my style before he even joins and I know Schmelzer as he plays for Newcastle. Muller is also one of the most versatile players in the world, Neuer one of the best keepers and the country has young talent coming through.
Next, you lost to Bayern in the Champions League. It will be an uphill battle to reach the semi finals now.
Not necessarily. Bayern are a great team featuring many of the German national side, but so are we. I have the utmost confidence that we can go through.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Lethal - congrats on the J. Paint Trophy. I don't care that it's lesser teams, winning a competition is never easy. Unfortunately I'm not able to see the standings.
Simp - I enjoy your updates as always. Part of me wishes my Alcorcon team could face your Bilbao team.
Drop x - Unfortunately I don't know much about that team.
Jwetson - great work with Freiburg this season!
jamie - I'm mad at you for no standings in your last update. I wanna see if you can finally get on track for the treble.
Chico - again setting the bar high, good results in the BPL and the cups and putting Scotland on the international map again.
Surajreet - I counted 8 games and 8 wins in that last update. Is the rest of the league even trying?
Tex - you suck, your Moracambe career is gonna surpass mine as far as the timeline goes (since I run 2 CM's)good to see you also have jumped out to a good start in League One.
JD - you're the Argentinian dude, right? (guessing because of your academy). I enjoy that you're facing a challenge in Germany much as I am in Spain with Alcorcon.
Maelstrom - so, uh, how's that GTN doing? What's the word from your scouts? I don't like you right now.
................
and damn you all for posting so much. You go MIA for 24hrs and it becomes nearly impossible to reply to everyone. I'm sure I left out some people and I apologize for that.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Julián Garrero has departed the club and has joined Championship side Bolton Wanderers for a reported fee of £375,000. Garrero struggled to adapt to the role Surajreet9 wanted him in and was never really happy at the club, making the deal a win win for both parties involved. Agostinho Cá has been lined up to replace the midfielder. Southend United have also taken steps to create competition for David Bentley. Despite improved performances, Surajreet9 would like to sign a goalkeeper to keep the 20 year old focused. Ross Worner and Andy Rafferty have been linked. Tarik Çamdal has signed for Southend from the free agents pool and is set to replace Anthony Straker in the wingback spot. Straker was never really comfortable in that position and is set to be sold to Birmingham City. Çamdal would offer pace and high defensive work rate to the wingback position.
January
Sammy Moore signs pre contract, will join up with Southend in 2014/15
Southend United have started preparing for next season with the signing of Sammy Moore on a pre-contract deal from struggling AFC Wimbledon. The midfielder will surely improve the club for the next season and will add vital squad depth. Moore is also expected to displace Timlin on the bench and possibly adopt a defensive midfield role following the listing of Garrero on the transfer market. Southend United have also made pre-contract offers for Aaron Mooy and Matthew Špiranović.
Southend United 2-0 Oxford United
James 75', Futács 83'
Southend United claimed a hard fought victory against Oxford United to extend their lead in League 2. It was not a straightforward victory as the scoreline suggests as Oxford dominated the game, not allowing Southend any time on the ball and splitting the defense apart time and time again. If not for the heroics of David Bentley, Southend could've been four goals down by halftime. It was only toward the end of the game where Southend started to control the match and ,in the space of seven second half minutes, won the game. Luke James continued his brilliant form in front of goal after Ryan Leonard sent the forward through clear on goal and he made no mistake, bending the ball into the corner of the net. Seven minutes later, Márko Futács scored his 28th goal of the season after James headed the ball powerfully into his path and he finished into the top left corner. James was man of the match for having a goal and an assist.
Accrington Stanley 0-2 Southend United
Futács 5', Jolley 87'
Southend United scored early and late to down Accrington in league action. Futács opened the scoring with a fine finish under the legs of the goalkeeper before Jolley scored near the end from a breakaway to cap off a dominating victory for the Shrimpers. Accrington didn't manage a single shot.
More Transfers
Southend United announce the pre-contract captures of Aaron Mooy and Matthew Špiranović from A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers. Mooy is expected to displace Conor Clifford in the Southend lineup next year, where they are expected to be in League One. Due to his experience, Mooy will be an instant starter and this could spell the end for bench player Will Atkinson. Matthew Špiranović is expected to replace Luke Prosser next season. It was bemoaned by Surajreet9 that his team lacked the height to challenge in the air, as evidenced the amount of goals they have scored off of corners this season: one. Špiranović is 6'4 and will add leadership and height to a back line already strong with young stars Iliya Milanov and Adam Thompson. This is not the only transfer news of the day as Márko Futács is being linked with a £1,350,000 move to League One club Bournemouth, who they will face in their next match in the F.A. Cup. More is expected on this rumor.
Southend United 0-0 Bournemouth
Márko Futács was on the bench as rumors swirled that he would leave Southend to join their opponents in this F.A. Cup matchup against Bournemouth. The match itself was a boring one with both sides struggling to create chances to advance. A goalless 90 minutes means a replay will now occur, adding to Southend United's already ridiculous amount of games this month.
Futács Leaves, Replacements Lined Up
A move that surprises very few, Southend United star Márko Futács has left the club to join League One side Bournemouth. Surajreet9 was initially reluctant to let the striker go but realized that he could improve his team plenty and make a £1.35 million profit on the former free agent. The Hungarian scored 29 goals in his 6 1/2 month stint as Southend advanced to the Capital One Cup semifinals and hold top spot in League Two. The striker will always be fondly remembered by Southend faithful. Southend United have lined up a replacement in James Hanson from Bradford City. The Englishman will undoubtedly replace the Hungarian's height and strength and would offer experience to 18 year old Luke James as the club look to prepare for a League One campaign next year. Terry Gornell has also been linked to possibly replace Freddy Eastwood on the bench. The Cheltenham forward has scored 11 goals in the league so far and would offer strength and pace to the front line. Macaulay Chrisantus is the main target according to an insider at the club. The Nigerian will be an undisputed starter should Southend sign him on a pre-contract but they would have to cough up £7,000 in wages for the 23 year old.
Garrero sold, Bentley backup and Tarik Çamdal
Chelsea 0-1 Southend UnitedSurajreet9 was unable to attend the match and Eastwood was once again given coaching responsibilities. Surajreet9 will not be able to attend the replay at Bournemouth in the F.A. Cup either as he will be wrapping up transfers.
Jolley 89'
Christian Jolley stunned the football world after scoring a header to down Chelsea in Stamford Bridge and putting Southend one goal up on aggregate in the Capital One Cup semifinal. Chelsea were overwhelming favorites to win by a huge margin and their first team selection showed their intent. Southend were the ones, however, to completely boss the game and Chelsea struggled to get forward whenever they had the ball. Petr Čech made several saves to deny Southend in the first half and was on hand to save a goal bound effort by Leonard in the second half. It looked set to end 0-0 but John White and Christian Jolley had other ideas. White sent in a perfect cross for Jolley to head past Čech as the League Two side grabbed one of their greatest wins ever.
Torquay United 0-1 Southend United
James 52'
Bournemouth 3-0 Southend United
Pugh 16', Surman 47', Grabban 81'
Freddy Eastwood was unable for comment as Southend United crashed out of the F.A. Cup. Southend simply had no response to the onslaught. Surajreet9 will return for the match against S****horpe United in the league.
More Transfers
Macauley Chrisantus, James Hanson and Terry Gornell have all signed for Southend United. Chrisantus agreed to a £9,500 wage per week after meeting with Surajreet9 in Spain to discuss his role in the side. He will join up with the team in the summer. James Hanson was signed for £350,000 as Southend try to replace Futács and his goals with a proven lower league striker. Terry Gornell was also signed for a reported fee of £180,000 to add even more firepower to the club. The Englishman struck 11 times for Cheltenham Town and is expected to do the same in Southend United.
Southend United 5-0 S****horpe United
Hanson 11' 41', James 19' 45', Clifford 48'
James Hanson had a debut to remember as Southend United crushed S****horpe United 5-0. Hanson opened the scoring with after heading the ball into the net from a Leonard cross. James followed suit with a powerful header from a corner as Southend went 2-0 within 20 minutes. They then scored 2 in four minutes to end the game as a contest and cap a shocking first half for S****horpe. Hanson grabbed his second after a long pass found him in the box and he volleyed it into the roof of the net. James scored the fourth when he was adjudged to have been fouled inside the box and he duly converted the penalty. Conor Clifford rounded off the scoring within three minutes of the restart with a beautiful finish into the far post after being put upon goal by Ryan Leonard.
Andy Rafferty and Agostinho Cá sign on
Andy Rafferty and Agostinho Cá have signed for Southend United. Rafferty signs a pre-contract and will join up with his new team in the 2014/15 season while Cá joins for £525,000. The former Barcelona B starlet is expected to improve the midfield following the loss of Garrero.
Southend United 1-3 Chelsea
Thompson 45'
Cole 5', Matić 56', Ba 89'
From top to flop. That described the dismal performance by Southend United as they crashed out of the Capital One Cup semifinals 3-2 on aggregate. Chelsea dominated the match and were unlucky not to have 7 goals in the first half. Ashley Cole opened up the scoring after spotting a gap in the Southend defense and the 32 year old scored to tie up the aggregate. Chelsea continued to dominate but Southend had the last laugh in the first half with Thompson scoring off of a corner to put Southend 2-1 up. After the break, Chelsea came out firing on all cylinders, culminating in a goal by Nemanja Matić to put the tie in Chelsea's favor on away goals. Demba Ba rounded off the scoring with a simple finish to knock Southend out.
Newport County 0-2 Southend United
James 43', Hanson 67'
This match was not attended by Surajreet9 as he interviewed youth scouts to help with the scouting network he hoped to set up in England. Eastwood once again assumed coaching duties for the match and rounded off a decent month.
Thoughts
I was gutted by the loss of Futács. I had sent a counteroffer and I never thought they would accept and now, my 29 goal 6'5 striker is gone. Hanson was brought it and he feels like a good replacement. I have high hopes for him. Just a question for you guys. Do you think the team improved or took a step backward? I think I improved the team very well, especially for next season. Bar a complete collapse, we should be in League One in 2014/15. Luke James is creating something of a dilemma. He hasn't grown a single overall, despite playing fantastically well. I think I will send him out on loan in 2014/15, especially since I'll have a lot of depth in the striker position. Overall I'm happy with the squad, except for Andy Rafferty lol. I found out after signing him that he was only 50 overallAnyways, hope you guys enjoyed this incredibly long update. If I ever do this again, I'll probably split it into 2 posts for easier reading. Sorry if it was too much! Thanks!
EDIT: Due to the low amount of games I have in February, I will also have a squad update with overalls to make up for the less writing! Anything else you guys want to know, just let me know!!Last edited by Surajreet9; 08-08-2014, 11:58 PM.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
One of my players is retiring at age 29. I wouldnt care so much if he wasnt such a vital player to my team, the go-to sub (something like a 6th man in Basketball). I actually chose the team im using because of him (now he's off starting 11 because i bought a better guy for his position).
So, to get this clear, Fifa needs to remind me how irrealistic it can get sometimes. I play a league match, have one day rest, then play a champions league match. On top of that i cant use a player next season for these scenarios because he'll be 30 and too old??? Im Insanely mad.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
You answered my question before I even posted it... nice!
I won't sell Aketxe, he's got a good potential in him.
Agirretxe is actually my striker target. I will probably try to sell Aduriz in January when he's still worth something and I would replace him with Agirretxe.
At the moment I'm using Gurpegi because of my respect to club legends and captains and Laporte. They are doing pretty well and I'm thinking about loaning Etxeita out (he was the young and not-so-highly-rated one, right?). San Jose is my third choice now.
Chico, I will sign all of Sociedad's Basque players because only they have got good ones! Screw the rivalry! It's survival of the finest.
The best position for De Marcos is as winger or left/right midfielder.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
I wouldn't go for Llorente. Didn't really leave the club on good terms despite the great things he achieved with Bilbao. I had a Bilbao career early on as well except I avoided players from Real Sociedad. They are rivals! I stuck with youth academy players and players that Bilbao signed in real life. No need to take every good player Sociedad has and ruin the derby between them, but that's just me.
Looking forward to seeing how Simmpu unfolds his career!Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Well, Athletic has signed in many cases the best Real Sociedad and Osasuna players IRL. And in the cantera, they usually sign the best young guys of the Basque Country, many of them from Real Sociedad and Osasuna too. These is why for example Osasuna, has a strong rivalry with Athletic, stronger than Athletic's rivalry with Real Sociedad.
All very true and trust me I am well aware of that, but the thing is that the game isn't the same as real life. In real life, Bilbao can sign all of Sociedad's stars and Sociedad will replace them. In the game, you can buy all the stars from them and the CPU might not even make any transfers in the transfer window. That's why I was saying it would ruin the Basque Derby - in the game/career. Sorry if I am making myself difficult to understand.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
I'm afraid I have some bad news:
I don't know how to break this to everyone, but I need a break from updating.
To be honest I don't find it as interesting and exciting as when I first started up.
I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience, but I need a break.
I will probably return in a few weeks, or potentially even sooner.
I won't be completely gone though. I will still leave a like and give some feedback.
I have very little time to play, let alone update, as my job isn't one were you can sit around talking about FIFA.
Again I am terribly sorry but I've made my decision.
Good luck to everyone here.
Also if anyone wants to take to do the Accrington career I'm fine with that.
BTW just so Texas knows I beat Morcombe 5-0 haha.
It was a VERY tough decision but my mind is made up.
I'll see ya around

Portsmouth 2013-2014 Season
I messed up a little bit as I somehow have lost just under 3 months worth of notes for my career. I must have forgot to hit save or something :/ I can go on the fixture result and get the scores for you but I can't Get the goal scorers or the time they scored.
Im asking whether I should do that or just move on to the next month and carry on like nothing happened?

So I'll change the way I post my career. I'm gonna put the results and the screen of the table only. And a little comment but not as a newspaper.
I prefer to do it instead of stop posting, but if not I'm always in a hurryComment

Enjoy your break, and come back when you feel is right. Don't rush back or you still won't enjoy it.
On a side note, I got back before 400! I leave for a day and I have about 10 pages to catch up on...Comment
