Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

    ONCE SACKED, TWICE EAGER

Bristol City announced earlier today that the club have parted ways with Indi Blue after poor results continued to derail their plans of remaining in the Premier League.

Under Indi, Bristol City only managed to accumulate 13 points in 21 games, leaving them dead last and nearly 10 points behind injury-plagued Southampton.

Though he is saying nothing in public, it is thought that Indi blames the Bristol City board for having provided too low a transfer budget to remain competitive. However, he does feel that certain players let him down, but even that was down to a lapse in judgment.

Just minutes ago, it was confirmed that Indi would take over the reins of Wigan Athletic for the remainder of the season, with a decision on an extension coming at the conclusion of the ongoing campaign.

Well, there you have it. Not only did we come up through the lower divisions too quickly, but my faith in the likes of Wagstaff and Baldock was misplaced. I've taken the Wigan job, but there's just so much surgery needed, especially with the enormous amount of deadwood! There are around 10 centre backs alone on the books. Good news is I can offload them all in the summer and gain around 100k in wages! I'm going to be testing out the 3-1-4-2 formation, so let's see what I can manage!

OK thanks a lot because I usually tend to just run my players into the ground and that is the main attribute I look for my players to be high in. And unless the player is a decent overall I usually loan them up for a full season because I really won't use them.

thanks man. Having seen both Miyoshi and Verdejo I'm now sure that Miyoshi could be a starter if I'm willing to put up with the growing pains but Verdejo is nowhere near ready and I hope he didn't end his career early by demanding to be called up so soon.

You'll see in the roster review that my main CB is up to 70 OVR which is awesome but also means I could sell him for maybe $2-3 million and replace him with Miyoshi and even replace the other CB with Monzon from the academy.

Sounds like a similar situation I had where I had a group of young players with high potential come in and had to choose whether to sell the incumbent starters, or give the youngsters minimal playing time.

I ended up selling a couple of the starters, and then bringing in players on loan to give good depth in a way that I can favor my own players and not worry about the loaned players getting upset haha (luckily none of them have anyway).

Good luck in the Championship, and I'm looking forward to see how you prepare your squad for it.

About the whole Bolivia thing, I'm just going to be the manager until the scout runs out for sure, actually.. not for sure, most likely. If the scout doesn't find anything, I'm resigning and waiting until a decent offer appears.

or you could stick with them all season and then play in Copa America at the end of your upcoming season in League 1 much like I'm doing right now with Peru

Ok so I figured I would post this manager career that I am doing. I decided to play as Chelsea and chose to just keep the manager the same (Jose Mourinho). I am playing with most of the transfers that happened since the roster update. So I lost Eto'o but brought in Diego Costa and Drogba. I lost Luiz but I haven't replaced him yet. So I won my first two games this season and I am in the middle of my 3rd AT Old Trafford at halftime. Quick summary we are tied at one. I am playing with 10 men after a questionable John Terry red card in the 15th minute. Goals scored by Drogba off a corner in the 3rd minute and Rooney in the 20th minute. I also brought back all players on loan. And I decided to start Petr Cech this game over Courtois who started the first two games.

Making the move to replace my starting CB's with youngsters would make more sense if my starters weren't on $750 wages. Then I would both get some profit from selling them and free up some wages. But the move would only clear up $500 in wages which is nothing. Still, I might be able to get over $3 million for my starting CB's which would give me enough to go out and get a legit GK which is my weakest position right now and I get the sense I'll need a solid GK to succeed at the next two levels of the English football league system. I really wish I had more prospects at ST/CF though ...

I feel you on that one. I haven't found any forwards at all and that's even including wingers. I've had some luck finding great defenders, great midfielders, and the future England GK James Watson!

But for the life of me, I cannot get a good forward prospect.

Ok my game with Man United has finished I lost 2-1 on a 90th minute goal from Danny Welbeck. It was a defensive breakdown that I think occurred because of Terry's red card in the 15. My backs were starting to get fatigued and I no subs left because I used them on offensive players trying to score to keep my top place in the league table.

This is true. Also, for my GK I'm going to end up signing Ben Amos one of these times . Man Utd don't wanna let him go even though he's transfer listed. May try to pick him up in January, or just wait till I get to the Championship and sign a better one. Who knows. Currently leading the league after 7 games. 2 month update coming shortly.

Saivet headed in but from then on it was all us. However Ulreich was amazing in goal, stopping 16 shots but Can broke free and smashed in to finally beat him. A Reus volley in the last attack of the game was saved unbelievably and Sevilla will be happy with a draw.
