Luke James = MVP. Luke James = OP. Luke James = Longshot from way outside the box that I thought could never go in flies top right corner and past the keeper. Luke James = R.I.P. Standards.

            ROAD TO RECOVERY
            SEASON 3

            Match 11

            Fulham 1-0 Coventry
            Rodallega 48
This match had me going mental on the touchline. Fulham had 1 shot on target to our 10, but their's went in! A headed after Kacaniklic escaped Camdal to cross in.

            Match 12

            Coventry 1-0 Ipswich
            Eccleston 29
Our fist clean sheet of the season. Eccleston got the only goal, slotting it into the bottom corner across the keeper.

            Match 13

            QPR 2-1 Coventry
            Austin 22
            Austin 60
            Clayton 87

Austin opened the scoring with a wonderful goal, chesting it down and smashing in on the volley from outside the box. He made it 2 with a header before Clayton got one back late on, smashing in after a low ball into the far post.

            Match 14

            Coventry 3-1 Millwall
            Dagnall 12
            Eccleston 30
            Clayton 64
            Martin 89

            Simmed.

            Match 15

            Leeds 0-0 Coventry
Probably the most boring game I have ever witnessed.

            Match 16

            Coventry 1-1 Blackburn
            Clayton 21
            Slew 23

Clayton finessed in the opener but Slew chipped the keeper straight from kick off. (They literally kick off glitched me!) We should have won but the keeper was on top form.

            League Table

            1. Fulham 37
            2. Wigan 37
            3. QPR 36
            4. Blackburn 36
            5. Burnley 35
            6. Huddersfield 29
            -----
            8. Coventry 27
            -----
            22. Charlton 9
            23. Ipswich 8
            24. Millwall 4

            Press Conference

You dropped out of the playoff positions this month. Is that a sign of things to come?

No not at all. We faced 3 of the best teams in the league this month and played well against all of them. We are only 2 points away so it's not a momentous effort to get back into the top 6.

Another hat-trick for Baldock today, Indi.

Such a great one as well, scoring with both feet and his head. I have to say that he's shaping up to be better than any of us expected.

Were you worried by extra time?

A little bit, considering that the August schedule has been a bit congested, but we have the depth to contend with such an issue.

                  Any other thoughts?

Morecambe played a very good game and were a credit to themselves. I love their style of football, and Tex Bumosix is a good friend of mine, so it's a bittersweet win for me.
Heartbreaker in extra time for my Shrimps!

                  Well played match!

                    Morecambe F.C.
                    Season Two

                    The Shrimps

Morecambe Confirm Signing of Two, Also Confirm Departure of Duo

With the success Morecambe have enjoyed so far this season, the news is more about who is out, rather than who is in. The signings of Tosin Olufemi and Chuba Akpom are being viewed more as depth signings rather than upgrades. No one is too shocked by that with Bumosix hinting at minimal transfer movement last month. The end of the Andrew Fleming saga has arrived with the unsettled midfielder being sold for £100K, but not before bagging one last goal in a Morecambe shirt in his final match with the club. Charles Itandje will be moving on as well. After starting the season as first choice, he lost his spot as James Watson broke into the first team and has yet to relinquish that spot. Itandje became viewed as excess as a result, and not many are surprised to see him move on.

                    Tosin Olufemi

Tosin Olufemi has spent his entire career from youth on up with Colchester United. Several at Colchester were surprised to see him move on, but Morecambe made their interest known and were able to finalize the transfer. Bumosix raved about his pace and versatility, two key components he values in his coveted wingback positions. He is figured to join the rotation with Kevin Ellis as substitutes for Marcus Marshall and Chris Hussey.

                    Chuba Akpom

Chuba Akpom is a young striker who came through the youth ranks at Arsenal. Having only made one senior appearance with Arsenal, he has most recently been playing on loan with Coventry City. With Arsenal looking to have no room in their squad for the young striker anytime soon, Morecambe came in to secure a permanent move away from the London based club. With Akpom's size and pace he has the ability to slide into either striker role that Bumosix utilizes. The addition of Akpom has several supporters wondering about the future of Jack Sampson at the club who already had seen his appearances down this season, but has made the most of those few appearances.

                    Transfers In
                    Tosin Olufemi - £160K
                    Chuba Akpom - £230K

                    Transfers Out
                    Charles Itandje - £300K
                    Andrew Fleming - £100K

                      Northampton
                      Season 1
                      League 2

                      November

                      League Objective: Fight for Promotion

                      League
                      S****horpe 0 - 0 Northampton
                      Carter 53’
                      Syers 78’

A match where S****horpe Utd absolutely dominated and probably deserved 3 points. Our midfield played their worst match sense I took over.

                      League
                      Northampton 1 - 0 Accrington
                      Nickolls 8’
Very even match played mostly in the middle of the park with few chances. Good to see the backups have a good match because the first team is having fitness issues.

                      FA Cup
                      Burton Albion 0 - 0 Northampton
No idea what happened this match it should have been an easy win for us but now we have to cram an other match into an already tight schedule disappointing we better destroy them next time we play.

                      J. Paint Trophy
                      Northampton 2 - 0 Preston
                      Deegan 96‘
                      Hornby 120‘

An other League 1 team that shows if we get promoted we are going to have to be better because there is no extra time in league play and we would have two draws now in League 1, which is not good enough.

                      League
                      Northampton 0 - 1 Southend
                      Roberts 52‘ RED CARD
                      Straker 90‘

A disappointing match that had we played our strongest squad we probably would have won but with the FA Cup replay midweek I played a weaker squad and I regret it now. Roberts showed how inexperienced he is when after being booked once went and slid at Southend’s keeper and receive a second yellow for it. I will do my best to beat Burton Albion.

                      FA Cup
                      Northampton (3) 1 - 1 (0) Burton Albion
                      Kee 69‘
                      Moore 87‘

A match that felt like nothing went my way it looked like we were going out until the 87th minute when Luke Moore was there to save the day with a simple tap in after the keeper parried the ball. In extra time nothing happened with only one shot to see it went to penalties. In penalties we scored all three kicks and Slocombe saved everyone of Burton Albions, which felt amazing.

                      League
                      Northampton 0 - 0 Bury
No idea how we didn‘t score. Absolutely terrible going forward we need to figure out something fast because what we are doing is not working anymore.

                      TABLE:

                      1. Northampton - 45 pts
                      2. Portsmouth - 40 pts
                      3. Chesterfield - 37 pts
                      4. S****horpe - 34 pts
                      5. Rochdale - 32 pts
                      6. Hartlepool - 31 pts
                      7. Bristol Rovers - 31 pts

                      (All teams on 18 matches)

                      YOUTH ACADEMY:

                      Joe Connell - Age 15 - England - Ovr. 40-46 - Pot. 76-90
                      Ruben Fenlon - Age 15 - England - Ovr. 42-50 - Pot. 70-82

                      Q. This is probably your worst month sense joining the club what happened?

                      A. It seems to me that we have hit a bad patch of form. We aren‘t scoring the goals we need to so we end up drawing lots of matches. I‘m sure we will find our best form soon enough.

                      Q. If rumors are to be believe Ramy Rabia and Chris Hackett have both been transfer listed, is this because of you dropping points in the league?

                      A. No not at all Chris’ [Hackett] contract is running out and he is asking for to much money so we are trying to get a fee from his sale others may join him out the door for the same reason we aren’t sure yet. Ramy [Rabia] on the other hand is our second highest wage earner and yet he doesn’t start it was silly to give him such a high wage and he will not accept a lower wage so he must move on.

                      Q. Do you have any transfer targets yet?

                      A. Yes, but no more questions about transfers for now please.

                      Q. You have 8 matches in December do you have any worries?

                      A. Yes that is a lot of matches to play but I’m sure we will be fine and hopefully we can find our best form again this month. Bye.

                        Better, Best, Basque

                        December

                        Sevilla FC 0 - 2 Athletic Bilbao
                        Aduriz 11', Kike Sola 90'

In the first game of the month the Basque side got all three points against Sevilla FC. Athletic Bilbao finally started playing well in November and they continued that now. Gancherribia's side played possession football with many passes but the team also crosses a lot and uses the fast wingers. Bilbao did that and they got their first goal in the 11th minute when Iker Muniain whipped in a cross from the left. Aritz Aduriz headed it and the leathal combination, named Muniariz by the fans, stroke again. Sevilla tried to attack but they didn't manage to break through Bilbao's strong defence. In the 78th minute something abnormal happened when Gancherribia subbed on Kike Sola. The man never appeared on the pitch but he managed to get a goal somehow. The ball turned around a defender before launching itself in the bottom right corner. (The player was invisible. Fix your game, EA!)

                        Athletic Bilbao 3 - 0 Rayo Vallecano
                        Aduriz 55', Laporte 87', Susaeta 90'

                        Press Conference

Good afternoon, señor Gancherribia. You have managed to pick up good results and you are still in third. Will your form continue?

It's impossible to answer that. In football things change so quickly. We can lose our players to injuries or play awefully. But I hope we can continue our results and stay in the top three.

What do you think about the league standings before January?

They are surprising, to be honest. Valencia is second and Barcelona are fourth. That's pretty surprising. Everything can still change and the difference between first and fourth is only nine points. Who knows, maybe even we could win the league...

You were contacted by the AS Monaco board, correct?

Yes, you're right. But I rejected their job offer straight away. Athletic Bilbao is a club I love and it's great to show the World that we are a great side which is able to do take down giants like Man Utd and Barcelona. We are trying to win the league as soon as possible and I won't leave this club any time soon.

Why did you decide to drop the captain, Gurpegi, out of the team?

It's sad to say this but Carlos (Gurpegi) isn't on the level he used to be anymore. He is slower now and he has problems defending against good attackers. Mikel (San Jose) in the other hand is young, strong and a great defender. Just look how he defended against Barcelona. He and Aymeric (Laporte) are a great combination.

The transfer window is opening soon. Will you be looking to buy someone?

Not really. The team is great as it is.

                        How about selling someone?

I don't want to sell anyone but everyone has their prices. If we decide to sell someone it will be for a big price and we will use the money wisely. But I'm not looking to get rid of anyone.

What do you think about Iñaki Williams' loan?

I want to clear one thing out before anything else. Iñaki is part of our second team and the decision to let him wasn't mine. Of course I visit the second team a lot but I had no power on the deal. I'm happy for Iñaki and I think my friend who I met in a U-17 tournament some years ago, Indi Blue, can get the most out of Iñaki. He's a really talented lad and it's good for him to get playing experience in a good league in England under a wonderful manager.

Speaking of England,Torquay Utd have got a new manager, Vladimir Orlov. He has made some controversial comments about many managers and the league. What do you think about him?

I don't like to judge other managers but I think Orlov is a communistic tyrant and a big idiot. Only someone crazy could hire that sick bastard who thinks he's some kind of Jesus or a god himself. We'll see how great and magical he actually is when Torquay gets rid of him soon.
Note: I am not trying to insult anyone. Don't take the comment above seriously.

Hi guys. After seeing so much English careers haha, and thinking, I've decided to go with Simppu to La Liga, starting a new career with Valencia. I'm gonna update it with August and the complete transfer market.

I've finally put on stand by my Porto career, in case I don't feel the same with Valencia. I hope not to return, as I know La Liga very well, and the challenge against Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico is high (and Athletic, Real Sociedad and Sevilla as well). I like Valencia too, we have in Gijón a great friendship/brotherhood between Valencia and Sporting supporters, so I'd happy to win with them!

Nice goal there from Josh McEachran, love to see that. He's a target for me at Bristol, obviously not anytime soon though. I haven't seen the last episode or two of your career, so who's Guardado? Academy lad?

Quite some good signings there. I know Itandje's sale would have freed up a hefty slice of the wage bill, which is so crucial for us folks in the lower leagues. Good way to reinvest the funds as well, Akpom should prove to be a good buy.

How extremely kind of you. I promise I'll beef him up and get you a proven goalscorer for next season!

Bulgarian guy calling you a communist usually means you're in his worst of bad books. Orlov beware!

                              Feito from Porto to Valencia

Spanish manager Feito has signed a new contract with Valencia CF, which puts him in Spanish La Liga again. "It's a good opportunity to return home, and a great challenge. I know that Liga BBVA has been dominated by Real Madrid and Barça the last decade, with Atletico very close to them. We have to go step by step and try to reach Champions League at first, and then, we'll see." The squad needs some changes but Feito wants to keep part of the players: "It's obvious that we need to compensate the full squad to have a good competitive team, but we shouldn't be crazy about the movements."

Porto owners said about Feito's leave that "He has Porto's door opened, we understand his leave to a most competitive league, but we know he's a great Porto supporter and he did well with us. He could return whenever he wants."

Rumours about transfers put some Porto players in Valencia, contacts for singing Fernando, Maicon or Mangala are in the air, but nothing is confirmed yet, as Feito said "I had very good players in Porto with me, it's logical that I'd like some of them with me in Valencia, but there're other markets too."

                              Next update: Complete August
