How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Champions League Update
March - April 2020 (Season 7)
Champions League - Quarter Final 1st Leg
AFC Wimbledon 1 - 1 Arsenal
WIM: James 20'
ARS: Ozil 89'
Wimbledon have had no problems against Arsenal in the Premier League, but Arsenal showed that they mean business in Europe and they proved tough to beat. No surprise to anyone when Ozil came on in the second half and scored, since he's one of the players that always scores on Wimbledon. All of the English teams in the competition still have a chance to progress into the Semis, with Wimbledon and Arsenal drawing with each other, Manchester City defeating Real Madrid, and Chelsea defeating Napoli.
Champions League - Quarter Final 2nd Leg
Arsenal 2(3) - (4)3 AFC Wimbledon
ARS: Pogba 6' Immobile 14'
WIM: Murphy 20' James 35' Fabianski OG 53'
Wimbledon are through to the semifinal round of the champions league for the first time in the club's history with an amazing comeback against Arsenal! Arsenal went ahead with two early goals and it truly looked like all hope was lost for Wimbledon as they went down 3-1 on aggregate. Arsenal defended really well and made sure Wimbledon's midfield weren't allowed to link up with strikers Luke James and Michael Thompson. As they focused to intercept all passes before they reached the strikers, they were caught off guard when left midfielder Jacob Murphy cut into the box and shot the ball into the net. Fifteen minutes later Luke James equalized the match with a shot from outside the box, the long shot being his last resort since the Arsenal defense prevented anyone from getting into their box. The match was very tight with neither team having an advantage over the other, until bad fortune struck and Arsenal's own goalkeeper Fabianski accidentally knocked the ball into his own net when turning. The ball had been bouncing among chaos as the defenders tried clearing it and the Wimbledon players tried shooting it, but in the end it was Fabianski who put it into his own net as he struggled to pick it up.
"A win thanks to an own goal was certainly not the way we wanted to pass to the next round, but we'll take it! I'm quite superstitious and I was really beginning to believe that luck was against us and we wouldn't be allowed to beat our mark from last year. First facing Porto, and then going down 2-0 against Arsenal, but we have an amazing group of players and they were able to come from behind against all odds in both fixtures! I must applaud the work Arsenal have done though. They left everything on the field and didn't let us take the win without suffering first." - Chavez, Wimbledon manager.
Semifinal Fixtures Announced
The Dons should be finishing up their celebrations, because the tournament isn't quite over yet. In fact, it's just getting started for some of the other teams in the competition. The English teams had a great first leg in the Quarter Finals, with Chelsea defeating Napoli, and Manchester City defeating Real Madrid 1-0. In the second leg, Chelsea continued their good run and defeated Napoli 4-0 on aggregate, while Real Madrid staged a comeback and eliminated Manchester City. Only 4 teams are left in the competition now, and the cup is destined to go to one of two countries: England or Spain. I'm sure you already guessed which is the other Spanish club that passed to the semifinals. Yep that's right, FC Barcelona. Real Madrid will face Chelsea, while AFC Wimbledon will face FC Barcelona for the first time. Having never played against Barcelona before, we are still unsure how Chavez will prepare his squad or he will make any changes.
Just thought I would post this mini update since the champions league quarter final and semi final fixture are both in the same month. I wanted to keep you guys in the loopAny feedback is appreciated!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Barca, interesting. Their possession style should be quite a match up considering you have traditionally tried to do the same. Hopefully you can be the one to control the game and keep them from having the ball as much as they would like. Good luck, looking forward to seeing how you do!
Agreed. I'm totally stoked for the match. I'm thinking about starting off with my regular 4-2-2-2 and changing it depending on how the match is going. Since Barca will have an extra man in midfield I might have to change to a 4-1-4-1 if my midfield can't keep up. I'm also thinking about dropping Mario Ruiz from the lineup and replacing him with Tyler Harvey, since Harvey has a higher defensive work rate and he is much faster. Ruiz is pretty slow and he has a low defensive work rate and medium attacking work rate.
Another thing I have in mind, is going back to my 3-5-2 for this match so I can have the three in midfield but still have two strikers up front. However I'm worried that Barca's 4-3-3 will stretch out my back three too much and leave me vulnerable to an attacking run from their center midfielders. Unless I go with a 5-3-2 that could be another option. I have much to think about especially since I've never played Barcelona with Wimbledon. I can't wait though!Comment

Exeter City F.C.
FIFA 15 - Season 2
The Grecians
April
Yeovil Town 1 - Exeter City 2
YEO - Berrett 15'
EXE - Wilson 3', Ginnelly 73'
McKenzie laid the ball off for Wilson to score the opening goal of the match that went off the keeper's hands and in. Yeovil evened it up with a great strike from Berrett that curved around the keeper. Wilson played the ball up for Ginnelly to run onto and beat the keeper for the game winner.
S****horpe United 1 - Exeter City 2
SCU - Canavan 90'
EXE - Wilson 43', Burgess 61'
Grimes set up to take the corner and sent it into the box. Wilson rose up and headed the ball back to the top left corner with the keeper diving to no avail. MacDonald then played Wilson through on goal and he drew every towards himself before laying it off left to Burgess to knock into the net. Just as the game was wrapping up Canavan beat the defense as a cross went up and got his head to it to finish past the keeper and avoid the clean sheet.
Colchester 1 - Exeter City 1
COL - Eastmond 28'
EXE - MacDonald 83'
Eastmond chested down a cross inside the box and then powered his right foot through the ball and into the net. Late in the game Exeter won a corner and Williams set up and sent it in for MacDonald to rise up and head it off the crossbar and in to equalize and earn a point for Exeter.
Exeter City 2 - Peterborough 1
EXE - McKenzie 65', van Nieff 90'
PET - Ferdinand 20'
Peterborough struck first after Ferdinand managed to stay just barely onside on a cross and volleyed it into the net for the easy goal from up close. It wasn't until the second half that Exeter found and answer when Luke McClure dribbled the ball in the middle of the box and laid it off to McKenzie cutting towards the right side of the goal who finished it calmly to equalize. With time running out MacDonald attacked from the right wing before laying it off to McKenzie on a run who then played it one more pass to van Nieff to finish past the keeper and earn the win, and secure the league title for Exeter City!
Exeter City 1 - Blackpool 0
EXE - Cummins 75'
In their last home match of the season, Exeter sent their supporters out with a win having already secured the league title. The lineup consisted of young players and reserves, but they ended up with the deciding play when McClure laid a ball off to Cummins up the middle to finish back to the right side of the goal.
MK Dons 0 - Exeter City 3
EXE - McKenzie 31', McClure 45', Wilson 73'
You're welcome Chico!
McKenzie cut the ball to his left and fired a shot from the center of the box into the left side of the goal to open it up. McClure then dribbled through the defense and went in 1 on 1 with the keeper to score his first senior goal of his career. Wilson scored his 39th league goal after receiving the ball, turning right, and cutting it back left to beat the keeper. The last 17 minutes were spent trying to get him his 40th league goal of the season, but there wasn't enough time left to get it done.
Football League 1

2. Sheffield United - 99 pts (P)
3. Leyton Orient - 79 pts
4. Colchester - 78 pts
5. Yeovil Town - 75 pts (P)
6. Ipswich Town - 74 pts

Golden Glove: George Long - 16 clean sheets (Sheffield United)
Youth Academy
Carl Little (Northern Ireland) 16 years old 56-60 OVR 74-80 POT.
- Carl Little has stepped up for the youth team playing as a center back. The 16 year old hit his growth spurt that the youth doctors were expecting and now stands at 6'1" giving him a bright future in the center of the defense.
Jay Holmes (England) 15 years old 64-78 OVR 80-94 POT.
-Jay Holmes has the look of something special. His technical abilities are far beyond his age and enable him to be extremely effective in the CAM role of the midfield. He is no doubt one to keep an eye on moving forward.
Josh Meenan (Northern Ireland) 15 years old 58-62 OVR 72-78 POT.
- The young boy from Northern Ireland has natural talents at keeper, but his future will be determined on how much he grows over the coming years since he is standing only 5'7" at the moment. If he hits a growth spurt as expected, his future seems bright.
Exeter City Player of the Year
James Wilson
There was no doubt that the best player for the club this season was none other than James Wilson. With 39 league goals and 47 overall in 52 appearances, he has been as close to unstoppable as anyone could be. And if that wasn't enough he also contributed 11 assists in all competitions. Another step up in competition next year will give him a new set of challenges. The club will no doubt be looking to him next year to lead by example.
Tex Bumosix To Manage Northern Ireland
Tex Bumosix has accepted the offer to manage the Northern Ireland National Team. His decision came just in time to position himself to take the reigns heading into the European Championships. He will be facing a group of Greece, Norway, and the always powerful Spain. Bumosix's extensive scouting of Northern Irish youth players may have been what drew the FA's interest, but his recent success with Exeter has been turning heads as well. The timing works well with the season wrapping up so his focus won't be divided, but that will be something to watch moving forward into the next season.
Press Conference
Q: An outstanding season without a doubt. Your slow start culminated in a clear run to the top of the table and you finished clear by 11 points. What can you say about this season and what the player's have accomplished?
A: This season was special. We have now won the league 2 years in a row, as well as the J. Paint Trophy 2 years in a row. Winning 4 trophies in 2 years is nothing to joke about. There wasn't one single player that let us down this season, and we all performed at a level many didn't think we were capable of. We are looking forward to the new challenge of the Championship, and while we know it won't be easy, we feel that we belong without a doubt.
Q: Words can't describe the performances of James Wilson this season, how important has he been to this club, and where do you think you would be without his attacking abilities?
A: James at 20 years old is already turning into one of the best goal scorers you will see anywhere. His record speaks for itself. While we aren't in the highest leagues in the world, you don't score that many by accident. As we continue to climb everyone will see more and more how truly talented he is. He is a player worthy of the Premier League and I intend to get him there, with Exeter of course.
Q: In some international news, the word is that you have decided to throw your hat into the ring and accept the Northern Ireland job. What made you feel that you were ready to take on the additional challenge?
A: With the season winding down, I knew that I would get a couple months where I wouldn't have to divide my attention outside of transfer planning. We will be going to the Euros and once I get back I will be able to focus on Exeter again. I think the time in between will give be a good chance to plan out how to focus my time on each of my jobs without sacrificing anything for either of them. I embrace the challenge and plan to do everything I can to be successful in both.Last edited by texasbum06; 12-15-2014, 11:19 AM.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Hey guys, sorry I've not posted in a while. I've been dealing with some personal issues, a good friend of mine miscarried a few months ago and now needs to go to rehab for cocaine addiction, so I've been trying to sort that out. I haven't really been interested in gaming at all, and I don't think I will be for a while.
When things are sorted, I'll come back to Parma, but it will be some time, and I may start over from the first window. Not sure. But at this point, I will be away for at least a few weeks.Currently playing: (In order of Most Time)

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
A brief new beginning update. Man U. Has been unstoppable force. We are in the month of December and our next match is the quarter final with Reading. In league we are at the top of the table. With only two draws the rest are wins. Hulk has been the BPL star with twelve goals already. We give a full detail update later.Currently playing: (In order of Most Time)

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Really surprised you didn't try to pick up another CB as that felt like a major need for me when I started my career mode. And I am also shocked you traded away Wilshere AND Ozil. I would have kept one of the 2, to build that midfield around. Are you planning on addressing the CB in the winter at all? If so who are you thinking of bringing in.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Hellas Verona
January 2015*
*All league games simulated
Transfers In
Ruben Neves
70 Ovr, Central Midfielder, 17 Years Old, Portugal
Season Loan With a Buy Option Of €5,000,000
Hellas Verona made a U-turn in their transfers this season, buying youngsters instead of veterans. Porto's young supertalent Ruben Neves will be a good addition to the list of future stars in the city of Verona. The central midfielder was experiencing lack of game time at Porto and he was loaned out to Hellas Verona. The teenager can be signed permanently in the summer for a hefty fee of five million euros but in a couple years Verona can make a lot of profit with him.
Zlatko Junuzovic
76 Ovr, Central Midfielder, 27 Years Old, Austria
Bosman Signing
Hellas Verona completed two Bosman signings this year and the other one of them is Zlatko Junuzovic. The central midfielder, who plays for Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga, is a versatile player who can play everywhere in the midfield and as a full back. The man of Serbian descent is a well rounded player and he may take Emil Hallfredsson's place in the starting eleven next season.
Raul Rodriguez
? Ovr, Centre Back, 27 Years Old, Spain
Bosman Signing
The other Bosman signing Hellas Verona completed was the Spanish defender Raul Rodriguez. The Catalan centre back will join Verona from Espanyol after the season. Rodriguez will strengthen Verona's old and average defence and he is expected to get a starting role in the team.
Itumeleng Khune
77 Ovr, Goalkeeper, 27 Years Old, South Africa
Swap Deal With Rafael
The final signing of the transfer window made by Verona was an unexpected one. After they failed to bring in a keeper from the Serie A the manager Simeone Corleone decided to replace his sloppy keeper with Itumeleng Khune from the South African team Kaizer Chiefs. Khune has played for Kaizer Chiefs since being a child and it will be interesting to see how he does in a new league.
Empoli 0 - 2 Hellas Verona
Wickham 31', Toni 60'
TIM Cup Round of 16
Fiorentina 2 - 4 Hellas Verona
El Hamdaoui 39', Fernandez 57'
Toni 22', Wickham 78', 105', Christodoulopoulos 119'
This cup match-up was a real thriller as both teams had a lot of chances. The game was even but at the end Hellas Verona came out on top after extra time. The veteran striker Luca Toni opened the scoring for them after twenty minutes when Connor Wickham crossed the ball to him from the edge of the box and Toni headed it in. The goal didn't turn the game in Verona's favour and Fiorentina equalised fifteen minutes later thanks to El Hamdaoui who finished a goal after some nice passing. The home team then took the lead about ten minutes into the second half when Matias Fernandez dribbled into the box and curled the ball to the net. Verona then pushed hard for an equaliser and Connor Wickham got it in the 78th minute when he tapped the ball in from Toni's low pass. In the first half of extra time he put his team into the lead from a counter attack and secured a place in the quarter finals! A minute before the end Lazaros Christodoulopoulos added another to the scoreboard with a rebounded shot.
Juventus 3 - 1 Hellas Verona
Llorente 27', 58', Pogba 71'
Gomez 89'
Hellas Verona 1 - 2 Atalanta
Wickham 40'
Migliaccio 30', Moralez 71'
TIM Cup Quarter Final
Hellas Verona 1 - 2 Inter Milan
Lopez 56'
Hernanes 40', Nagatomo 76'
Hellas Verona's nice cup run came to an end against Inter Milan in the quarter finals in this even game. The first half was even but bad marking lead to Inter's Hernanes heading the ball into the net five minutes before half time. Verona managed to equalise ten minutes into the second half when Nico Lopez shot the ball into the top left corner. Sadly that goal wasn't enough because Yuto Nagatomo got the winner twenty minutes later from a pass across the box.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Congratulations on winning the J. Paint... Again!! Great work man and with your league performances it looks like you'll have the title as well. Leon Robinson was quite impressive this month. A right back that has the skill to run up front and score is outstanding. I didn't see Wilson score much though :/ I saw he scored 4 in one game which is amazing, but after that he only scored one more goal and that was it right? I hope he's at least putting in good performances on the field so he can go into the Championship with confidence.
Although, I can't look too far ahead. I still do have to take care of business against Norway. Hopefully I don't burn out against them.Comment

Not yet settled on a position he looks to have a bit of pace and is agile.
Akahito Kazuyoshi - ? - (44-48, 85-94) - 15 y/o - Japan
Looks like he could be a real star. He is described as a Playmaker but listed as a CB and has the stats of a playmaker. He will be a very very good player and I am excited about him.
Danny Hassell - CB - (55-59, 80-86) - 16 y/o - England
Looking like he'll be a solid centre half in years to come. Another May update will do him the world of good. Hopefully he grows from his current 5'9".
Oliver Pain - LW - (51-57, 74-82) - 15 y/o - Australia
This 15 year old Aussie has decent potential to reach and has now decided to play on the wing. Looks like he could be a very solid player in the future.

The second centre half in the academy he is the lesser of the two. Nonetheless he has a bright future. Standing at 6'2" he has a suitable height for the postion.
Yusuke Toyoshima - CM - (44-46, 69-73) - 16 y/o - Japan
Described as Technically Gifted he is projected to being a bench player for us in the future. Hopefully he grows as he is only 5'5".

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
I just simulated to the end of the season just to see where I would finish if I didn't played the games. Then something happened and it made me angry and sad. I have buy options on the players that I've loaned in and it was time to use that option. Here we have an annoying fact 1: I'm already paying their wages but if I want to sign them permanently I have to pay their wages again. Anyway, that didn't annoy me that much. I offered them their wages and they accepted. What happened then killed me.
I accepted the deal but a text popped. The "You will go over maximum capacity" text. Let's see. I have 40 players plus two Bosman's coming which is a total of the maximum 42. Those 40 players include the players that are on loan at the club. Why the fu*k can't I sign them permanently if they are already in the team?!?! It's not like they will multiply when I sign them so WHAT IS THE F*CKING PROBLEM THEN??? I WILL LOSE THREE STARTING PLAYERS BECAUSE OF THIS MINDLESS SH*T! FIX YOUR GAME, EA!
Also, I can't release any players. Rant over.-Simppu12-
