How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
#TexasBumTheSavior
I was gone for two days and I missed the pre-apocalypse. We are in Tex's debt, who thanks to his computer skills was able to prevent the apocalypse and return everything to normal. Like Jagger said this was almost as bad as when an MK Dons career appeared and brought chaos with it. This incident has made me notice, that on Tapatalk the default setting is 20 posts per page, so in my version we're actually at Page 497. I've always known this was wrong and just rolled with whatever you PC-folk said haha
TexasBum: I really enjoyed the 5 year plan. Reminds me of FDR's New Deal. You will take Deportivo out of its depression just like FDR paved the way with the New Deal. Yeah. 'Murica. Also you may have made only one signing, but it was an impressive one. I'm surprised that at 39 years old the game didn't have him retiring at the end of the season which would have prevented you from signing him. Really looking forward to seeing more of him and I hope he can keep up his good form so that the game doesn't ruin his stats.
Valium you say? I was actually thinking of chloroform, but my girlfriend fell asleep before I got off work that night. Don't know who dodged the bigger bullet her or me.Last edited by _ChicoBass; 03-05-2015, 07:13 PM.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Hello everyone I'm new. Quick question:
Is there a way for a young up and comer in FIFA 14 to gain more than 4+ in overall points? Like, how Adnan Januzaj was technically a 61-62, but in FIFA 15 he grew up to 75.
Thanks in advance.
I'm doing a CM with Southampton, the youngest player with the highest growth is Eric Dier (defender) which he has grown 4 overall points, and i'm in currently in mid February.
No. Such massive growth like can only be done by EA's squad updates. He went up that much because pretty much when 14 was having squad updates he didn't play a vital role with his club IRL. By the time 15 came out, he was seeing much more game time IRL which is why EA boosted his overall.
I THINK the most I ever saw a player grow in 14 was +5. One thing I used to do back in 13 was that after a player has maxed out his growth in a single season (back then I think it was +6) I would loan him out in January to a different league, and then recall him three days later. This would reset his growth, which meant he could grow a Max of +6 again. Maybe you can try that out not sure if it still works in 14 or 15 though I haven't done that since 13. Not my cup of tea anymore you know.Comment

Are you calling me a liar? ARE YOU CA-- just kidding just kidding :P well then, I must have edited at some point if the default is 10. I've had Tapatalk for a long time and I used to use other non-FIFA forums. Perhaps it takes the default setting from the first forum you join? If not, then yeah I must've had edited at some point while using a different forum and I can't remember.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
March 2016 - Season 2
FIFA 15 (PS4)
Real Valladolid 0 - 3 CA Osasuna (B-Team)
OSA: Kodro 14' Nono PEN 53' Luque 79'
The B-Team have disposed of their rivals who gave the first team a hell of a fight in the cup. Even though the first team had trouble against them, the B-Team simply walked over them although a large part of the credit needs to be given to the MOTM Jose Antonio Rodriguez who made several game changing saves. One of the best plays took place in barely the 5th minute. The match had just begun and Valladolid started off strong going forward. They took a shot from the edge of the box that Rodriguez had to back track to get his glove on it and make the ball come out off the crossbar. The ball then went straight to a Valladolid player who hit the rebound first time with Rodriguez still inside the net, but the Mexican goalkeeper was fast enough to come back to his line and just barely stop the ball from going in!
The Valladolid players argued that the ball had gone in but the referee stood his ground. Nine minutes later, the 6'3" forward Kenan Kodro headed in a cross from David Ferreiro, who was playing for the injured Ramirez, to give Osasuna an early lead. The match remained 1-0 until the second half. David Ferreiro had been showing off his skills on the ball all game long and seemingly provoked the Valladolid defenders to put a stronger foot against him. Ferreiro had been neutralized by his markers, until they made a mistake by trying to block his shot on goal and instead delivered a late slide tackle that resulted in a penalty for Osasuna.
Nono stepped up to take the shot and although he didn't hit it well, it was enough to go in. His shot was just a little to the left and at mid height, but fortunately the goalkeeper dove to the right. Later on in the second half Chavez subbed in Julian Luque, who we hadn't seen in quite a while anymore due to his bad form, but the young Spaniard responded well to his chance and scored the third goal! This might be a turn around for the young midfielder who has had a tough season on his shoulders.
CA Osasuna 1 - 1 Levante UD
LEV: Lopez 48'
OSA: Flaño 89'
We don't know what it is, but Levante knows exactly how to play against Osasuna and really makes them work for ninety minutes. Even though Levante runs a 4-2-2-2, they dominate the midfield when against Osasuna's 4-3-3 and with their high pressure they make it very difficult for the Basques to get the ball to the attacking third. The first half ended 0-0 but three minutes into the second half Levante took the lead after Lopez put in a rebound past Riesgo. Levante sat back to defend their lead which only complicated it more for Osasuna. The closer we got to the final whistle the more men they had defending. Once we passed the ninetieth minute Levante had all eleven men behind midfield to defend the lead. Chavez instructed his men to go all out attack and sent Miguel Flaño forward to play as a striker with Guillermo, creating what seems like a 3-3-4 formation. Even with this change Osasuna still couldn't get last Levante's defense, until the 89th minute where Oier passed the ball to Flaño, who then faked a shot to get past his marker and then powered a shot directly at the goalkeeper. The ball went in between the keeper's legs, bounced off his groin, and ever so slowly rolled into the net to equalize the match for Osasuna!
The referee ended the match soon after that goal, and Osasuna kept the draw with a taste of victory. Levante's goalkeeper Jesus took home the MOTM award with 11 saves.
Europa League - Round of 16 (1st Leg)
CA Osasuna (B-Team) 1 - 1 Tottenham
TOT: Lamela 62'
OSA: Marcos Alonso PEN 77'
Los Rojillos keep the dream alive in Europe by using their home field advantage at El Sadar and holding Tottenham to a draw. The match was surprisingly very balanced, with Tottenham struggling to get past Rodriguez and his back line. Oier and Nono did an amazing job at holding possession, but Osasuna really lacked going forward with Onwu being invisible on the field, Jose Garcia being repeatedly shoved off the ball, and Kenan Kodro being tightly marked by Tottenham's tall centre backs. At halftime Chavez replace Garcia with Luque, which improved the midfield greatly with more speed on the ball. Tottenham still defended really well though leaving Kodro with no space to score or assist. Tottenham's Lamela would open the scoring after several failed attempts to clear the ball by the Osasuna defenders, at which time Chavez replaced Onwu who we didn't even know was still playing, with David Ferreiro. The change was immediately noticeable with Osasuna looking a lot more dangerous now but still not enough to score. Tottenham's Paulinho gave Osasuna hope though by slide tackling Julian Luque inside the box after Luque had dribbled past him and was preparing to shoot. Marcos Alonso would calmly take the penalty since Nono was off the field and equalize.
Osasuna had two last minute opportunities to score but just couldn't capitalize, with David Ferreiro frequently finding spaces on the left wing. Lloris saved Tottenham time and time again, earning the MOTM award with 7 saves. Tottenham may have an away goal in their favor, but if Osasuna can play the second leg the same way they finished the first leg we're in for an amazing match.
Atletico Madrid 1 - 2 CA Osasuna
OSA: Guillermo 9' Cuevas 40'
ATM: Baptistao 90'
Both teams played really well tonight, however with the extra man in midfield Osasuna controlled possession the most. In barely the ninth minute Guillermo opened the score line with a great shot from the edge of the box that went in between his marker's legs and into the net.
Osasuna were playing very differently than before, but much better as well. They were having an most perfect match until Raul Albentosa fouled Cerci inside the box in the 27th minute that resulted in a penalty against Osasuna. Mario Mandzukic would take the penalty shot. He chipped the ball down the middle, Riesgo dove left, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out! Osasuna remained ahead 1-0. To make things worse for Atletico, Guillermo received a foul at the edge of the box in a great free kick position to score. Miguel De Las Cuevas took the free kick, sent it over the wall, curling towards the keeper's far post, and into the net! An incredible free kick from De Las Cuevas who has been in bad form lately!
The first half ended with Atletico playing very aggressively, committing three more fouls. The second half remained in the control of Osasuna, and although Simeone's men were aggressively pushing forward they struggled in front of Osasuna's back line. Riesgo was close to holding the clean sheet but Atletico's second half sub Baptistao shocked us all with an outstanding volley. Miranda sent a Hail Mary from the midfield line on the right side, the ball travelled all the way to the box in the air to find Baptistao who had left Flaño behind on his run, and he took his shot first time without even trying to control the ball first. Riesgo made a terrible mistake in that goal, as he did not come out to intercept the long ball. When Baptistao took the shot, Riesgo couldn't even make an attempt for it due to the short distance. Nevertheless, Osasuna returned to Pamplona with the three points.
Europa League - Round of 16 (2nd Leg)
Tottenham vs CA Osasuna (B-Team)
SpoilerTottenham 4 (5) - (1) 0 CA Osasuna (B-Team)
TOT: Lamela 8' Paulinho 21' Capoue 56' Doumbia 82'
Osasuna have reached the end of the road despite many believing they would upset the Spurs. Chavez fielded the same eleven that finished the first leg; Ferreiro at LW for Onwu and Luque at CAM for Garcia. Needless to say, it was a terrible decision to alter the B-Team's lineup. David Ferreiro was quickly taken care of by Tottenham's right back, and Luque was harmless in midfield without the passion and determination Garcia brings to the table. The blame isn't solely on them though, the entire team had a terrible match. Hesitant on pushing forward in supporting runs, and slow to come back and defend. Rodriguez was often left alone to deal with Tottenham's strikers, as the ex-Arsenal defender Ignasi Miquel had a poor match, finishing with a 4.6 match rating from EA. Jose Antonio Rodriguez had the highest match rating in the squad, given a 6.5 rating by EA for making 5 saves in the match. Tottenham knew exactly how to stop Osasuna's tower in the box Kenan Kodro, and with him taken care of Los Rojillos were nonexistent in front of goal.
Rayo Vallecano 1 - 3 CA Osasuna
RAY: Bangoura 8'
OSA: Torres 11' Guillermo 45' Palacios 65'
Osasuna had a rough start to this match as it was Rayo Vallecano who controlled possession and held it in Osasuna's defensive third. The Vallecans had already taken three shots on goal and had a corner before a second corner kick was called for them, in which Bangoura was able to appear wide open at the heart of the box and head the ball in. Osasuna responded right away though, with De Las Cuevas sending Torres a through ball inside the box that left him in a perfect scoring position. Torres took his shot, however the ball deflected off one of the defenders and it went high into the air, but the ball came down just at the right moment to go under the crossbar and into the net! Impossible for the goalkeeper to reach. Osasuna controlled the match from then on, comfortably passing the ball in midfield waiting for their chance. The chance came right before the halftime whistle, when Federico Palacios played Guillermo through on goal so that Guillermo could be one on one with the keeper. The Basque striker calmly took his shot and gave Osasuna the lead!
The second half started as the first had ended, with Osasuna being in control of the match. Rayo adjusted their tactics and focused on counter attacks, however with Darder roaming in front of the back line and a Raul Albentosa at the top of his game they still struggled to find goal scoring opportunities. After one of Rayo's counters, Osasuna initiated a counter of their own with four one touch passes from their defensive third all the way to Vallecano's box. Camarasa played a first touch, lobbed through pass to Guillermo who was running into the box, but the star striker didn't take the shot. Instead he passed the ball, the fourth first touch pass, to the right to find Palacios who then took a first touch shot that finished the amazing play with a goal!
A total of five first touches ended with Osasuna stretching the score line, and from that point on Osasuna were just having a ball on the field. Palacios, who is getting used to playing on the wing now, had Rayo's LB Nacho seeing stars as he frequently dribbled past him. During one of his crosses, Guillermo tried to show of his acrobatic skills and score with flare (pictured at top of article) but unfortunately Vallecano's goalkeeper was able to block this one.
CA Osasuna Player of The Month
LW - Roberto Torres (Spain) (73 OVR 27yrs) (+3)
*Naturally a CAM
The Pamplona native had possibly his best month of the season, showing off his dribbling and passing skills consistently throughout the matches. This month was quite different for Osasuna's playing style in general, however one that stood out the most was Torres, who although in the past would always stay up front next to Guillermo, he changed his game this month and was always coming down to defend. Thanks to his defensive runs, he was often in a position to receive the ball with enough space to pause and create an attacking play, whereas in the past he would usually receive the ball on runs into the box. Now that he's more involved in midfield, we truly get to admire his talent on the ball and it has made a huge impact on Osasuna's game overall.

Youth Academy
* = New Addition
*Eñaut Gabbiadini - CDM (35-43, 66-82): The Spanish midfielder becomes the 2nd CDM in the academy, although at 15 years old he still has much to develop, including his height which is quite low for a CDM as he stands at 5'3".
Joyce Barber - RM (54-58, 71-75): By reading his name one might assume the player is from the United Kingdom, but in fact he is a Spaniard. At least, he was born in Spain. Barber is only 5'4" but he has proven to be a playmaker from the wing even at 15 years of age.
*Julian Rubin - GK (37-49, 61-79): Julian becomes the first player from the United States to join the Osasuna youth academy, and if he develops well enough he could even become the first ever American player to wear Osasuna's colors. The 15 year old goalkeeper could make history, but first he must show his class in the youth levels.
Paré Bulhões Vinuesa Ramos - CDM (64-68, 81-87): The 17 year old from Spain immediately caught Chavez's eye when the youth academy resumed operations last month, and he is now in line for a potential call up to the senior team in the future. Ramos stands at 6'3" and has chosen CDM as his primary position. The player covered several others in the youth team, so he looks to be a very versatile player on the field. The youngster also hasn't chosen which, whether his last name or maiden name, will be printed on his jersey when he does receive the call up...
Roussillon Murnane - ST (55-59, 71-75): The 5'9" 16-year old from Spain has shown the characteristics of a winger as he tends to drift wide from the center.
March Headlines
Osasuna On The Rise
For the first time this entire season, Osasuna have finished the month in a European spot on the league table! Osasuna may have been eliminated from the Europa League this month - eliminated is misleading; more like Spurs sent them back to Spain with a black eye and a torn uniform - but they are on the road back for barely their second ever Europa League (Previously participating in the old EUFA Cup format 4 times). Anything other than 1st and 2nd is very tight though with multiple teams battling for the European spots, so even the Champions League is near. If Osasuna are able to surpass Sevilla and finish in at least 4th place, Los Rojillos would be going to their first ever Champions League.
El Sadar - Osasuna's Fortress
Osasuna have turned El Sadar Stadium into a solid fortress, difficult for any club to visit, and the Basques are currently unbeaten at home in all competitions! Not all matches have been victories though, as there have been several last minute equalizers which only shows how much of an impact the home crowd can deliver when their team is down. With only 7 matches left this season, Osasuna are near to finishing the year without a single loss at home.
Conclusion
First, I'd like to apologize to Cruzerr. I couldn't do it man! I knew I was ruining it as I was ruining it but there was absolutely nothing I could do! I take full responsibility though. I should never have altered the B team which had made it this far. Even though Manuel Onwu has been struggling lately, David Ferreiro's form has been worse. I thought he was finally out of it, but I quickly discovered he's still in bad form. Jose Garcia may be smaller and weaker than Luque, but little Garcia did twice as much in the first leg than Luque did in the second. Ferreiro and Luque are better as second half subs, and I know that now.
The player instructions have worked out fantastically. With Roberto Torres tracking back now, he's unstoppable with the ball at his feet and De Las Cuevas doesn't have that big of a burden on his shoulders anymore since Torres can share the playmaking responsibilities. Palacios has also done much much better at RW with the new instructions. Occasionally I saw him swap with Guillermo so he could see some time at ST, although they're more effective with Guillermo at ST and Palacios at RW.
In the final match I made another instruction change. I used to have RCM Camarasa and CDM Darder both with the instruction to stay back while attacking. Both players would still push forward though which would often leave my midfield empty during counters. I took that off Camarasa and left him with no instructions. The result is Darder always stays behind, just like I needed him to, and Camarasa finally plays more as a box-to-box which is exactly what I needed him to do as well. He adds just the right amount of support in attack without overcrowding the box and is quick enough to track back and support Darder. The team is playing so much better overall now and I think finally breaking into the Top 6 reflects that.
That's all for this month. I've actually played ahead so I just need to type up the next update. Any feedback is appreciated, and
Thanks For Reading!Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
AD Alcorcon - '21-'22 Season
December/January Update
League Match 16
FC Barcelona - AD Alcorcon (5-3)
Montoya 7'
Lopez 20' (Salawu)
Lopez 33' (P)
Salawu 29'
Pedro 58'
Osede Prieto 65'
Fabregas 73'
Pedro 90+'
Recap: WELP. Just like that the La Liga winning streak comes to an end. The 15-game streak will have to settle for a tie at 2nd best with Barca holding on to the record at 16. What a baffling game. This past summer we made a big move my snatching Courtois from Barca and they weren't really able to replace him with a worthy keeper, but with the Belgian sideline with injury it was subpar goalie vs subpar goalie and Barca was just more lethal. At halftime I definitely felt this game was ours but Barca showed us why they're elite. Bummer.
Champions League - Group Stage, Match 6
AD Alcorcon - Molde FK (3-0)
Farago 41' (Imbula)
Morientes 61' (Miguel)
Lopez 66' (De Sciglio)
Recap: Our last attempt to jump ahead of Arsenal in the group standings was a short-lived success as we wrapped up a dominant win over the Norwegian champs but the English squad still finished atop the group. Looking forward to the Round of 16.
League Match 17
AD Alcorcon - Levante UD (3-1)
Lopez 7' (De Sciglio)
Miguel 45' (Farago)
Esposito 52'
Imbula 71' (Knoll)
Recap: Good to bounce back from the loss to Barca with a solid win against a feisty Levante squad. De Sciglio has been getting in on the action with assists lately.
League Match 18
Atletico Madrid - AD Alcorcon (1-3)
Lopez 33' (P)
Correa 36'
Lopez 62' (P)
Musa 76'
Recap: The first half of the season in La Liga comes to an end with a solid victory over an always difficult Atletico, leaving us with 17 wins and 1 loss at this point. Although he's the team's main kicker from the penalty spot, Lopez's sizable lead in the league's scoring has come mostly from his prowess as a striker. This game also marked the return of Courtois to the lineup, somewhat early but he specifically asked to be put back in so I complied with his request.
Copa Del Rey - Round of 32, 2nd Leg
CD Numancia - AD Alcorcon (1-5, 1-7 agg)
Wilkinson 31' (Candelo)
Jimenez 57'
Wilkinson 63' (Candelo)
Perez 65'
Gnabry 75'
Jimenez 82'
Recap: The B team took complete care of Numancia, embarrassing them on their own turf after leading us to a 2-0 victory during the 1st leg. Jimenez has settled in as a constant thread with the B squad after struggling a tad earlier in the season.
Copa Del Rey - Round of 16, 1st Leg
AD Alcorcon - Valencia CF (3-2)
Correa 18' (Salawu)
Paco Alcacer 41'
Correa 45' (Salawu)
Farago 51' (Lopez)
Papadopoulos 58'
Recap: Victory for us but a very favorable result for Valencia also getting 2 away goals with a minimal difference defeat. Although he isn't scoring as much as he was back in October Correa is consistently our best player out on the pitch. Salawu has also taking the next step in his game this season.
JAN
Copa Del Rey - Round of 16, 2nd Leg
Valencia CF - AD Alcorcon (2-3, 4-6 agg)
Miguel 13' (Correa)
Correa 33' (Salawu)
Papadopoulos 35'
Soares Martins 75' (Correa)
Sergio Canales 83'
Recap: We survive this round in the cup while tipping our caps to a Valencia squad that left it all out on the pitch. Luckily our superior talent was able to come through for us, scoring 3 more goals to effectively eliminate the only edge Valencia had from the 1st game, then rounding out another victory.
League Match 19
AD Alcorcon - Barcelona B (0-2)
Rafinha 6'
Deulofeu 23'
Recap: Unbeaten against everyone in the league except Barca and its affiliates. The B team had earned a crack at this game after their performances against Numancia but they could not break Barca B's goalie (Cameroonian, his name escapes me right now) and had breakdowns at the back for which they paid. Luckily our outstanding start keeps us atop the standings, but a very unacceptable loss here.
Copa Del Rey - Quarter Finals, 1st Leg
Atletico Madrid - AD Alcorcon (1-6)
Farago 6' (De Sciglio)
Junior Malanda 21'
Farago 23' (Ramirez)
Lopez 65' (Farago)
Correa 70' (Ramirez)
Farago 75' (Lopez)
Correa 84' (Lopez)
Recap: THE ANGER BANG! My goodness, we ETHERED Atletico, all but eliminating them from contention with the 6 away goals. An amazing game where our stud front 3 shined, Farago shining brighter than the rest by being involved in 4 goals. Outstanding bounce back performance by the squad to keep everyone on notice that, even though we slipped in our previous game, we still continue to be a force to be reckoned with.
League Match 20
AD Alcorcon - Real Zaragoza (2-0)
Lopez 2' (De Sciglio)
Correa 45' (Farago)
Recap: There aren't better teams better in soccer than getting off to a lead within the first couple of minutes. We didn't waste that effort by Lopez here although the visitors never truly led us get too comfortable.
Copa Del Rey - Quarter Finals, 2nd Leg
AD Alcorcon - Atletico Madrid (1-1, 7-2 agg)
Musa 22' (P)
Campbell 50' (Aurelio)
Recap: With this matchup well in hand we gave our C team a chance to perform and they played admirably, forcing a disappointed Atletico to a draw. A very good game by Jesus Aurelio, a Mexican academy product for whom we need to find more playing time.
League Match 21
Valencia CF - AD Alcorcon (0-0)
Recap: Valencia proved that our battles in Copa Del Rey weren't a fluke by forcing us into our first draw of the season in La Liga. We outshot them 11-2, 6-1 on goal, but in the end neither team scored in the seldom exciting 0-0 game.
Copa Del Rey - Semi Finals, 1st Leg
AD Alcorcon - Villareal CF (1-0)
Farago 71' (Correa)
Recap: Villareal played a very solid, compact game on both sides of the pitch but eventually Farago got to continue his climb to the top of the competition's scoring leading board. Not giving up a goal at home is another small victory but this sets up for a difficult matchup in the 2nd leg.
League Match 22
AD Alcorcon - RC Deportivo (3-0)
Lopez 2' (De Sciglio)
Lopez 25' (Correa)
Jimenez 90' (De Sciglio
Recap: We finish off January with yet another decisive victory in which Nico set himself further apart from the pack in the race for the Pichichi. At this point only an injury (knocks on wood) will keep the Uruguayan from leading the league in scoring.
Liga BBVA Standings
1. AD Alcorcon - 58pts
2. FC Barcelona - 52pts
3. Real Madrid - 51pts
4. Athletic Bilbao - 47pts
5. Atletico Madrid - 40pts
6. Real Sociedad - 37pts
7. Valencia CF - 36pts
8. Real Zaragoza - 34pts
9. Sevilla FC - 34pts

18. RM Castilla - 16pts
19. Granada CF - 10pts

1. Arsenal - 13pts
2. AD Alcorcon - 13pts
3. Bor. M'gladbach - 7pts
4. Molde FK - 1pts
I'm sorry to disappoint so many of you and not be able to get a 16th (or even 17th+) consecutive win in La Liga to break Barca's record during the 2010-11 season. Just imagine how frustrating it was for me to go from being up 3-1 at halftime to losing the second half 0-4. Losing a month later to Barca B, even if it was with the B team, was also very disappointing. All that being said there are still a lot of positives here: we still lead the league by 6 points, we're THIS close to returning to the Copa Del Rey final, and we're through to the Round of 16 in the Champions League where we will face none other than Juventus. Those games are going to be electric.
Nico Lopez keeps scoring but it was Angel Correa who earned Player of the Month for January. It'd be unfair to not mention how amazing Alessandro Farago has been as he complete the front 3 into a lethal weapon. Farago and Correa lead the Copa Del Rey in scoring with 5 a piece while Lopez, Correa, and Salawu are tied for the competition lead in assists with 3 each. In La Liga Lopez has nearly twice as many goals (23) as Real Madrid's Luis Suarez who trails with 12. Suarez is also second in the league in assists (7) but Farago also has nearly twice as many in the lead with 13. Although he missed about a month and a half of action, Courtois (9) only trails Real Madrid's Neuer in clean sheets by 1.
The winter transfer window came and went and a BIG sale happened. Which Alcorcon academy product was part of the top deal in this transfer window? Let's find out ...
TRANSFERS OUT: Javier Marquez (CB, 68 OVR), loaned to Blacburn Rvrs for the rest of the season. Jomar Mayat (LW, 62 OVR), loaned to Girona FC for the rest of the season. Johnny Wilson (CF, 59 OVR), loaned to Doncaster Rovers for the rest of the season. Alex Navas (GK, 64 OVR), loaned to SD Ponferradina for the rest of the season. Juan Morientes (CAM, 82 OVR), sold to AS Monaco for $54 million.
TRANSFERS IN: Jomar Turossi (CB, 88 OVR), agreed to pre-contract for 5 years at $200K in wages. Wellington Ferreira (RB, 77 OVR), purchased from Villareal CF for $11,750,000. [B]Luis Gonzalo (LM, 89 OVR)/B], agreed to pre-contract for 5 years at $197.5K in wages. Samu Castillejo (LM, 82 OVR), purchased from Malaca CF for $22 million.
OH SNAP. Let me explain - I wasn't looking to move Morientes, wasn't even thinking about it, but suddenly Fiorentina came in with $41 million for him and the board tells me how he could be sold for as much as $70 million. I told Fiorentina if they had $55 million they had a deal but they balked. That was fine by me because my negotiations for my top academy players has always been "pay top dollar or get lost". Next thing you know Monaco comes in right off the bat offering $54 million and I couldn't past that up, we wish nothing but the best to Morientes at Monaco where hopefully he'll be the full time starter he deserves to be. There were other inquiries for our top players but there is really no reason to disrupt what we have going. Inter offered $45.5 million for Lopez but his value is way beyond that and I didn't even bother responding, so of course I also ignored PSG when they offered less ($38 million). Bayern was also ignored when they offered $39.5 million for Courtois. Finally, Farago was once again the topic of negotiations when Inter offered $47.5 million for him but once again a high counter offer from us (in the $65-70 million range) brought negotiations to an end.
But now to who we brought in - oh I'm a happy camper. Early on we saw Turossi available and we jumped all over the opportunity to bring him in for next season. He's a 26-year old Brazilian who stands at 6'1" and all but paves the way for Jherson Vergara (he's peaked) to be sold next summer. Ferreira, another Brazilian who's only 24 years old, becomes our top backup fullback since Candelo is retiring at the end of the season and McDermott hasn't really progressed). But the REAL catch, the one transaction that had me dancing like snoopy was Gonzalo's acquisition. He's a 23 year old STUD from Ecuador who was scouted by me and signed to Boca Juniors' academy when I first started there. I tried to bring him over to Alcorcon from the get go but his price tage was always above my budget and eventually he developed so well it didn't make sense to break the bank for him when I had other pieces in place; but being available on pre-contract was too good to pass up and now I'm so looking forward to next season. He's really more of a CAM, and with Correa being a speedster I'm likely going to move him to either RM or LM which means Salawu and Correa are suddenly auditioning for a starting job next season. CAN'T WAIT. Castillejo replaces Morientes as a stud coming off our bench and he was someone we had in our sights for a couple of seasons now.
In academy news our scouts in Ivory Coast, Norway, and the United States have returned and there has been some movement on this end. Let's take a look at the youth squad:
- Boubacar Mensah (RW, 57-67 OVR, 80-94POT): 16-year old from Ivory Coast who after months of evaluation has been tabbed as the prospect with the highest potential. Excited for his development.
- Ohi Anthony Reinhardsen (GK, 54-66, 83-94)*: 15-year old from Norway with outstanding potential and good size at 6'2", 158lbs.
- Jaime Zavaleta (RW, 57-67, 78-92): 16-year old from USA showing excellent speed. He was a lock to be a winger from the get-go so it's now a matter of developing him.
- Chola Mayat (CB, 44-52, 76-94)*: 16-year old from Ivory Coast described as Physically Strong. The hope for a continued line of development at this position.
- Omar Vindheim (CDM, 48-52, 78-86): 15-year old from Norway described as defensive minded. Stands strong at 6'2", 167lbs.
- Shola Sadami (CDM, 37-45, 71-89)*: 16-year old from Ivory Coast who makes up for less than ideal size with a lot of strength.
- Alexander Antonsen (LB, 43-51, 73-85): 16-year old from Norway who will be developed as a CB due to his lack of speed and size of 6'2", 176lbs.
- Kristoffer Solheim (CDM, 40-46, 70-82)*: 16-year old from Norway described as Defensive Minded who currently doesn't project to be much more than a role player.
- Julio Gutierrez (LW, 56-60, 73-79): 17-year old from Spain who needs to continue to work on his game in the academy. Will be promoted if he asks to but he'll be nothing but a loan candidate.
* Denotes recent addition to the academy.
Unfortunately 17-year old Mansour Haron (CB, 63 OVR, 85-91 POT - Showing Great Potential) from Saudia Arabia requested to be promoted. His mammoth size (6'6", 198 lbs) was too good to pass up on but he'll need some loan spells to improve to the point that he can contribute to the squad.
In academy related news 2 other of our targets were snatched by other teams, with USA's Jeff Buddle (DEF/MID, 40-52, 65-85,16 Y/O) getting signed by FC Krasnodar and Ivory Coast's Lansana Hamidou (DEF/MID, 35-47, 65-89, 16 Y/O) being signed by SD Eibar. We wish those youngster luck in their careers.

I have a player editing question. I want to edit my youth players to have sleeves when it turns cold and short sleeves when it is warm. Also is it possible for to have the different long sleeves on your promoted players ex. Jersey long sleeve or tight undershirt long sleeve.Currently playing: (In order of Most Time)

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
@Simppu I'm disappointed that Zaza hasn't grabbed his chances, but you're in a great position to win the league, which is the most important thing. Another big thing is Choupo-Moting's form, and you look like you might be doing a number in Europe beyond what was initially thought.
@Chico Wonderful to see you finally getting close to the top four as you fully deserve. It's a shame about your European adventure, but the wins against Atleti and the others kind of compensate for that. You're in a Europa League spot and just two points away from qualifying for the UCL, and I think you can make enough of an impact to get to that level.
@Rabbit My man! Barcelona brought you back down to earth, but you didn't let that stop you, huh? That was a tight win against Valencia in the cup, and you absolutely demolished Atleti. Juventus should be a tasty tie, but your incredible wingers should tear up their three-man defence without too much trouble. I expect you to progress with a two-goal margin at least. And your transfers... wow! You know, Monaco would have paid $60 million or more for Morientes. Still, not bad business to get the massive players you did. And it must feel amazing to bring that young buck you scouted in Argentina to the big leagues of Spain. I hope you can sustain the interest through next season!

What you are asking for is, unfortunately, impossible. Once you edit a player you lose their winter gear. When a youth player is promoted he might switch to long sleeves or a long sleeve compression shirt under his jersey when it's cold, but once you edit anything (literally anything shirt untucked/boots/sweatbands) he will no longer switch to cold gear. Same happens with default players. Sucks right? It truly is stupid especially since when you make a player career you can unlock the compression shirt so the option exists, it's just that EA won't add it to career mode.Comment

Deportivo La Coruña
FIFA 15 - Season 1
Blanquiazules’
September 2014
SD Eibar 2 - RC Deportivo 2
EIB - Nieto 48', Arruabarrena 90'
DEP - Medunjanin 3', Perez 71'
MOTM: Medunjanin
Juan Dominguez played a great ball over the top that Medunjanin was able to run onto and play across the goal inside the far post to open the scoring. Nieto equalized off a cross from Capa, directing it inside the near post as the keeper came out to challenge. Postiga took the ball away from the defense and played it ahead to Perez who was able to finish a strong shot into the top right corner for the lead. With barely any time left the ball was crossed into the box and the defense failed to clear it and after bouncing around for a bit until Arruaberrena placed it perfectly to the far post to force the draw.
RC Deportivo 2 - Real Madrid 1
DEP - Perez 66', Medunjanin 90'
REA - Carvajal 90'
MOTM: Lux
The ball was cleared off a Real Madrid corner, and it fell to Perez who was already past the defense and he raced down towards goal and hit it strong to the top left corner. In injury time Bale played a ball over the top from the left wing to a perfectly timed run by Carvajal into the box and he tapped it past the keeper who was rushing to get to the ball first for the equalizer. Juan Dominguez found Bergantiños at the top of the box who took a touch and then played it to Medunjanin on the left side of the box for a quick touch and a perfect shot with his left foot into the top right corner for the late winner.
Galician Derby
Celta Viga 1 - RC Deportivo 2
CEL - Fernandez 68'
DEP - Medunjanin 79', Cavaleiro 90'
MOTM: Medunjanin
Fernandez put Celta Vigo on the board first in the second half after Laarivey flicked on a cross to the back post that Fernandez volleyed out of the air and into the net. Oubiña brought down Medunjanin from 27 yards resulting in a free kick that Medunjanin curled expertly around the left side of the wall and inside the left post. A late foul by Celta Vigo gave Deportivo a free kick at midfield that was pushed ahead to Perez who was able to find Cavaleiro down the right side of the box to go through on goal and smash the ball into the top left corner for the win.
RC Deportivo 0 - UD Almeria 0
MOTM: Lux
UD Almeria dominated the home team, and looked like they should have won the match. They recorded 54% of the possession, and out shot Deportivo 9 shots to 3, although their poor performance in front of goal only resulted in 2 shots on goal. The first good chance came in the 25th minute when a Cavaleiro goal for Deportivo was ruled offside. Almeria had a close chance of their own in the second half when Corona banged the ball of the left post in the 68th minute. Overall it was an easy night for both keepers.

Deportivo La Coruña Player of the Month
Haris Medunjanin
Haris Medunjanin was the driving force behind the successes this month. He scored 3 goals across 4 matches for the month, and established himself all over the pitch playing in a true box-to-box mindset. His winner against Real Madrid was the highlight of the month for the club.
Manager Comments
Academy Update - Still no movement on the academy front this month. With limited funds we are choosing to be picky with our selections in order to ensure the quality of players we bring in. We have scouts watching several promising prospects though, and an addition could happen at any time.
Galician Derby - Deportivo's first match under new management against long-time rival Celta Vigo proved to be a celebratory day. Both teams played an equal game until a quick succession of goals i the last 20 minutes including an injury time winner by Cavaleiro. The all time series between the clubs is nearly equal, with only a few wins in favor of Deportivo. This win is important to the supporters and we were able to deliver.
Real Madrid - Massive an unexpected win over Real Madrid. This win felt great to take all 3 points in our home stadium. Real is one of the best clubs in the world and were expected to come in and have their way. We proved that we won't roll over against anyone and took the lead in the second half before proving our determination by finding an answer to their 90th minute goal to win the match.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
The Wednesday: September 2016
SHW 2-0 AVL
September 10 @ Hillsborough Stadium
Barclays PL: Round 4
Stevie May made the most of a rare opportunity to give Sheffield Wednesday a first-half lead, and Fabian Delph added another early in the second to seal the South Yorkshire side's third win in four games. Aston Villa's midfield failed to adequately service a trio of gifted strikers, the pouring rain proving too much for them to create chances of note.
"It's a very good win. There are going to be times during the season where the odds will be against us, and we'll need to dig deep to find the extra gear that will help us push through. Villa tried very hard to pressure us into making mistakes, but this defence is a rock-solid unit. I have so much confidence in these players, but more importantly, they have confidence in themselves. Now we look forward to next week's trip to West Brom."
WBA 0-1 SHW
September 17 @ The Hawthorns
Barclays PL: Round 5
Mitchell Weiser scored the only goal of the match, finishing off a blitzkrieg-style break in the second half to give Sheffield Wednesday what could prove to be a huge win. On a night of wasted chances for West Bromwich Albion, Saido Berahino missed two clear-cut opportunities in the first half. Brown Ideye fired wide after being played through during injury time, shooting so poorly that the ball went into touch for a Wednesday throw-in.
"I should begin by pointing out how different this result would look if West Brom had just taken the chances they created. They need to be applauded for their performance, and if they keep playing this way, there's no reason their luck won't eventually turn back in their favour. That said, we did take the one really good chance we created, and it turned out to be the difference between two very good teams. I rested several players for our cup tie against Arsenal, so the fact that everyone in this squad is ready to contribute to our season makes this win that much sweeter."
SHW 4-0 ARS
September 20 @ Hillsborough Stadium
Capital One Cup: Round 3
Stevie May netted in the tenth minute, evading Semi Ajayi to fire home what would be the deciding goal for Sheffield Wednesday. Arsenal youth product Ajayi was sent off just before halftime for a nasty tackle on Gael Bigirimana, receiving his marching orders with a straight red card. Gary Mackay-Steven scored a second-half brace, each one coming after the wily Scot had toyed with the visibly agitated Per Mertesacker. May added his second and Wednesday's fourth in injury time after being given a free pass in the box.
"Arsenal are one of the toughest teams to play against in their own stadium, but they're quite predictable away from home. We managed to read their game plan and execute our own with efficiency. I was quite surprised that they didn't bring on a defender after the sending-off, but it only made our task easier. This will do wonders for our morale, so it's a fantastic result and an even better performance."
SHW 3-2 TOT
September 24 @ Hillsborough Stadium
Barclays PL: Round 6
Caolan Lavery scored yet another decisive goal in the last minute, this time bagging the winner against defending champions Tottenham. Now without Hugo Lloris and having missed out on Daniel Sturridge, Spurs took the lead when Emmanuel Adebayor fired an unstoppable shot past Keiren Westwood. Jamie Paterson restored parity before halftime with a mazy run and devastating shot, adding a second on the hour mark after beating DeAndre Yedlin across the face of goal. Paulinho quickly gave Tottenham a lifeline when Josh Meekings allowed him through to shoot, but the decision to bring on Canada-born Lavery proved to be a wise one when the Northern Ireland forward ghosted past Vlad Chiriches to meet Gary Mackay-Steven's sublime through ball from deep in midfield.
"Tottenham won the league last season and Adebayor is the league's top scorer at this time, so there's no shame in conceding twice against them. We kept three clean sheets before this, including one against Arsenal. That's not easy, and it speaks volumes about how this defence has stepped up. We saw today that our attack and midfield can come good when we need them to, so this is a complete team. Credit must be given where it is due, but let's not get ahead of ourselves by saying that we're going to win trophies."
September Review
Four wins from four games gives us nine points out of nine, and we're also through to round 4 of the Capital One Cup against Bristol City. The early form puts us on 16 points, and we are only behind Manchester United on goal difference. Rounding out the top four are Chelsea (15) and Liverpool (13), and Stoke (4) and Leicester (3) sit past Sunderland (3) in the relegation zone.
We have conceded just four in six games, two of those to the defending champions. The defence has been bolstered by the addition of Rhys Williams, whose aerial dominance is proving to be a deciding factor in several games. Credit also goes to Keiren Westwood for his four clean sheets in all competitions. We thought the Irishman would have to be moved on, but on the basis of this form, he will see out this season comfortably. He has been our best player, earning a cumulative 8.3 rating across six games. And with Jordan Obita, we have a wide outlet in defence to help us get the ball up the field more quickly.
Following the big win against Tottenham, we decided that Harry Kane is not a good fit for this club. Terminating his loan, we bring Jamie Paterson into Caolan Lavery's berth at wide left. Lavery drops to the bench, while Mitchell Weiser makes the jump from the reserves to the substitutes. For cover, we have signed free agent Eric Riera Canadell to a four-year deal in order to let Jack Stobbs keep growing with Brighton & Hove Albion.
October Preview
We start the month with a trip to the Emirates, where we face Arsenal in round 7 of the Premier League on the first. After a lengthy break for international games, Stoke comes to visit. We then travel to Manchester City in the league before hosting Bristol City in the Capital One Cup, and the month rounds out with a visit from early relegation candidates Sunderland. We want to take 10 points in the league and progress to round 5 in the cup.
I'll also be doing a mid-season squad report and transfer preview after our last match in December. Suggestions are welcome for an athletic, technically gifted attacking midfield player who can excel centrally or on the wings. I'm looking for someone from the same mould as James Rodriguez and Alexis Sanchez, though not as expensive. My budget will be in the £12-15 million range. We are also considering replacements for Liam Palmer and a more solid holding partner for Fabian Delph, so let me know if you have any ideas.

Match 20
Swansea 2-1 QPR
Dyer 21'
Modeste 30'
Austin 73'
Cañas 90' (Montero)
MotM: Nathan Dyer
We need a victory here after a terrible December. The B team was given the chance and they took it. They dominated the game but again found it hard to score. Sigurdsson forced an early save from Kivrak and the Dyer managed to score in the 21st minute. Berahino's shot bounced off Onuoha in front of Dyer inside the 6 yard box. He managed to poke it into the top corner ahead of Faurlin. Modeste managed to get a goal back on the half hour mark. Fer won the header and knocked it down to Modeste who was free in the box to pick his spot and score. In the lead up to this goal Sigurdsson had been fouled but the referee didn't give anything. Austin having already earned a yellow received a straight red card for a challenge on Shelvey in the 73rd minute. With the extra man we forced a string of excellent saves from Kivrak before Cañas of all people popped up with the winner in the last minute. He managed to find space in between the LB and CB before keeping his cool to slide the ball past Kivrak for the winner. A sorely needed win.
Jan 4th
Match 21
Hull 1-2 Swansea
Felipe Anderson 15'
Sagbo 38'
Bony 84' (Pen)
MotM: Winston Reid
A 4-2-3-1 was used today. A through ball by Clyne for Anderson was intercepted by McShane. Anderson kept running and took it off McShane on the edge of his box before calmly putting the ball through Cillessen's legs. Meyler chipped a first time ball over Amat's head to Sagbo who controlled it on his chest before volleying past Scuffet. We had chance after chance which Cillessen saved. Anderson was having a great game at CAM and won the penalty with 6 minutes left. He dribbled through the defence and Robertson slid in taking him out completely. Bony coolly converted to give us a deserved 3 points.
Jan 7th
FA Cup
Round 3
Rotherham 1-4 Swansea
Montero 6'
McKenzie 18' (Kavanagh)
Frecklington 24'
Ki (Shelvey)
McKenzie 81'
MotM: Tom McKenzie
A 4-3-3 was used today with recently promoted Cian Kavanagh deployed at CDM and other youth products Graham, Tidser, Wilson and McKenzie also getting starts with the latter grabbing another 2 goals and Man of the Match. Jefferson Montero stole the ball from a free kick and had a clear run on goal before he slotted away early in the game. McKenzie received the ball with his back to goal, rolled the defender and put it away with his left foot across Loach to double the lead. A long range effort from Frecklington beat an unsighted Wilson with Rotherham's only shot on target. 2 substitutes Ki and Shelvey combined instantly with the latter sliding the other in. Ki took a first time shot from the edge of the area that went low and through the legs of the defender. Just after the 80th minute Graham had an attempted through ball to Dyer cut out by Rotherham captain Morgan but unfortunately for him the ball only rolled to red hot McKenzie who put it home calmly past Loach for his second, this time with his right foot. James Loveridge, on loan at Rotherham from us, started and played well.
Jan 11th
Capital One Cup
Semi Final Leg 1
Chelsea 1-0 Swansea
Piazon 15'
Piazon 84'
MotM: Petr Cech
It was a really tight game with Chelsea only registering 1 shot on target. The goal came from a good piece of play from Chelsea. Ivanovic managed to get inside Bernat and he drilled a ball across which Piazon got to before Clyne and Scuffet didn't stand a chance of saving it from that range. Centurion hit the post with a header on 20 minutes and then headed wide a few minutes later. With few chances Piazon was sent off 6 minutes from time for picking up a second yellow card. From the resulting free kick Centurion took it down and volleyed it just wide. He then had a great chance to equalize after cutting inside but it was a weak shot that Man of the Match Cech saved comfortably.
Jan 14th
Match 22
Swansea 2-1 Everton
Barkley 30'
Bony 55'
Shelvey 78'
MotM: Jonjo Shelvey
This was a 6th (Everton) vs 7th (Us) clash. We could leapfrog the Toffees with a win here. It was an even game in which Everton threw the first punch. Barkley finding some space inside the area to first time a Gibson pass. A bullet header from Bony soon after was saved by Howard before Coleman took down Bernat inside the box just as he was about to pull the trigger. Bony put it away to reach the 20 goal mark for the season. Delph then supplied the winning pass for Shelvey. He turned inside Stones on the left hand side of the area before curling around a motionless Howard in the 78th minute and fire us up to 6th.
Jan 24th
Match 23
Crystal Palace 1-3 Swansea
Hooper 3'
Montero 9' (Berahino)
Sigurdsson 38' (Pen)
Dyer 41' (Berahino)
MotM: Kurt Zouma
Saido Berahino had a great game up front getting 3 assists and Kurt Zouma earned Man of the Match for a solid performance at the back. The only blip was when he and Koulibaly left Hooper too much space to head in an early cross. Montero leveled on 9 minutes running away from Kelly and onto a Berahino through ball. He sprinted across Wynter before shooting in off the right post past Hennessey. Berahino showed off his quick feet dodging a tackle and being taken down in the process earning a penalty. Sigurdsson coolly converted. Another counter attack goal was scored on 41 minutes. Berahino took the ball into him before turning and playing a great ball through to Dyer on the far side. He ran onto it in the middle of the box and quickly shifted the ball around Hennessey. Berahino tried the spectacular with a bicycle kick on the hour mark but it didn't come off. Neither did Dyer's attempted chip.
Kalidou Koulibaly is out for 3 weeks with a Sprained Ankle.
Jan 25th
Capital One Cup
Semi Final Leg 2
Swansea (1) 1-0 (1) Chelsea (5-3 P)
Sigurdsson 58' (Bony)
MotM: Simone Scuffet
In what is Wilfried Bony's last game with the club we had to go out and overturn a 1-0 deficit. After a first half of us dominating possession but not getting any shots on target and Scuffet keeping us in it with some top quality saves we managed to grab a goal through Gylfi Sigurdsson with our first shot on Petr Cech's goal. After some tight play Bony found Sigurdsson in front of Aké. He wriggled by him and shot into the bottom right corner just before Fabregas tackled him. The rest of the match was tight with Sigurdsson missing a glorious chance with seconds left of Extra Time. Penalties it was to be.
Penalties
SpoilerSigurdsson score
Agüero save
Shelvey score
Piazon score
Dyer score
T. Hazard score
Centurion score
Matic score (pressure pen)
Delph score (winning pen)
So we have managed it! And gotten through to the final of the Capital One Cup whilst beating Bony's potential destination. Simone Scuffet was the Man of the Match producing an excellent 7 saves. He also saved Sergio Agüero's penalty in the shootout.

After some really nice passing play Ki finished it off with a first time shot from the edge of the area through the legs of Chiriches and past Brad Friedel. Adebayor held off Zouma inside the area and then proceeded to beat Fabianski at his near post. Townsend took the lead for Spurs firing into the bottom right after initially being tackled by Cañas. Ings came off the bench and immediately made an impact heading in a Ki corner after getting free. Capoue won the game for Spurs in the 82nd minute heading a Townsend cross, knocking us out of the FA Cup.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Lovin' the Munian signing! Can't wait to see how he does with you next season. I've never seen anyone use Kramer before so looking forward to that. Benteke was a good choice to replace Bony, and wow that price you let him go for! Second highest in the transfer window, and the club you chose is Chelsea. Not bad especially since they just sold Costa and have a ST slot available. I like it. Sucks to see Tottenham knocked you out of the cup, but hey at least you didn't lose 4-0 :/ incredible match against Chelsea though! What really surprised me was seeing that you went unbeaten in the league but you didn't give anyone the POTM award. Don't do that too often or Human Resources will come knocking! :P who will you be facing in the Capital One final?Comment
