A much better month! A hammering of Elche and then a good, tight win over Bilbao in the cup. Good win over Villarreal also! 11th is much better than being 1 above the relegation zone so props on turning it around. Some nice pieces in your Academy also.

Tight win in the derby followed by hammerings to win the league. Nicely done. 15 points was a massive margin. Absolutely smashed Fiorentina to claim the double! Unfortunate that you couldn't get the treble and only losing on penalties is even worse. Next year! (If you decide to stay on that is.) Choupo-Moting was a beast this season! 31 goals in the league. Bloody hell. What Ovr is he?
I'm glad you like them! I'm hoping Benteke can do as well too which I'm sure he will do. Thanks! Really happy that he scored on his debut and Centurion has been tearing up the right flank recently.
Congrats on getting through the group and also battling for Champions League football. Nice going with Wales. Bale must be fun to use! I don't know what to say about the Youth Players. Hopefully someone else can help.

Thought I'd share a new thing I'm trying here. The last couple of years of FIFA have been the hardest for me to get into since I bought FIFA 09 and began to fall in love with soccer. I haven't been able to get a good career mode going in the FIFA 15 or 14, largely because I've already done the things I've wanted in years past and I want something new. I'm always torn because I can't bring myself to start a career in a top flight league. I feel like I have to earn it. But I've earned it in past games and don't have as much time as I did then. That, and I've become a huge MLS fan and am constantly wishing for a better representation of MLS in Career Mode. I always thought about putting my favorite team in the English Leagues, but that'd be Seattle and they're rated too high to really fit any lower than the Championship. I want them lower (Again, that whole earning it thing). But I recently found what I think will be the answer over on a reddit page.
I've replaced every English team with teams from North and South America. I used a "system" (I use that term very loosely) to distribute teams throughout the leagues based on prestige and how many titles they've won. So the Premier League consists a good chunk of Argentine clubs, along with a few from Mexico, Columbia, and maybe Chile. A few MLS clubs are in the Championship (LA Galaxy, DC United, plus a couple more I can't remember), and the majority of MLS clubs are in League 1. I'll be playing as Seattle and trying to work my way up. I also put a few of the displaced larger EPL teams in Scotland so I'll still see the likes of Man U and Chelsea in the Champions League.

Fariña got free down the left wing on a counter and drew the keeper out before laying it off to Perez for the finish. Cavaleiro then replicated almost the exact same play down the left wing playing it to Perez in the middle for another finish past the keeper. This time it was Perez getting free down the left wing and he played it to Juan Dominguez at the top of the box who quickly pushed it ahead to Cavaleiro on the right side of the goal for a tap in.

Susaeta put Athletic up once again with a superb curling effort from the left side of the box into the top right corner of the goal. Cavaleiro went on the attack right away and was brought down inside the box giving Medunjanin the opportunity to convert from the penalty spot into the top left corner. Fariña played a big ball over the top to Cavaleiro running down the right side who attacked the goal and played it across the goal at the last second for Perez to tap in for the winner.

Academy Update - The 4 players have started to establish themselves with the youth teams and where they will play on the pitch is becoming clearer. Adrian Alvarez has found his place on the right side of the defense, but still has an attacking mentality. Mario Diaz's future is in the midfield, and he will bring toughness and a defensive presence to the club's midfield. Sebastian Torres is another defensive prospect although his future could either be as a midfielder or on the left side of the defense. Victor Manuel is the one prospect who still remains a question mark in terms of position and could play almost anywhere on the outside of the pitch.
Improved Form - After a nightmare 2 month run, the form has improved exponentially. The attack had a resurgence led by Cavaleiro and Perez up front. After finishing last month just 1 spot out of the relegation zone, moving up to 11th is a welcomed relief. We have to continue this form and avoid falling into a run that will drop us down the table again. This club is much better than a relegation candidate, and I refuse to allow us to be in that discussion.
Copa Del Rey - An exciting two legs against Bilbao in the Copa Del Rey has put us through to the last 16. After losing the first leg, we were able to win an exciting second leg 3-2. This came right in the middle of our improved run of form and it couldn't have worked out any better. The confidence going forward will be important, and we need to continue to win in order to take home some much needed prize money.

In the second Verona derby of the season the pressure was on the home side. They needed a draw to secure the league title and things weren't looking good when Pellomo scored with a header only 15 minutes into the game. Hellas Verona then took control of the game but they couldn't find the back of the net until the 79th minute when the captain Kaan Ayhan equalised with a free kick. Chievo parked the bus after the goal but the Gialloblu put a lot of pressure on their defence. At the end Breel Embolo managed to score the winner in stoppage time which means that Hellas Verona have succeeded in defending the title!

It seemed like almost impossible but Choupo-Moting showed that he is on the same level as Messi and Ronaldo in the game against Atalanta. He was in top form and he managed to score four goals which put him one goal away from the magical thirty.

Luckily twenty minutes later Florenzi equalised from a rebound. After that right before stoppage time Eric Choupo-Moting got the lead and got closer to the thirty goal mark. Genoa's Cofie equalised after the hour mark but that didn't stop Verona. Only five minutes later the ball was passed to Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting who got in the box, took a shot and it went in! The 30th league goal was scored! Ten minutes later he went ahead and completed his hattrick. In the last fifteen minutes Corleone made a very interesting substitution: he took of Marquinhos and put on Rafael Marquez who was playing his last ever league game. The Mexican received the captain's armband from Ayhan and lead his team to receive to Serie A trophy after the final whistle. Hellas Verona are the champions!

The final of the Coppa Italia -or TIM Cup- was here. Rome's Olympic Stadium was full of fans of both teams. Hellas Verona had reached their first cup final since 1984 and they were the favourites. It was kick off time.
Hellas Verona started the game with a lot of pressure in attack. They passed the ball around, looking for space. Before the twenty-minute mark Eric Choupo-Moting received the ball on the right side of the box. He took a shot but the keeper parried the ball. Choupo-Moting then shot again and the ball went in thanks to a deflection. Verona had taken the lead! They continued in control and twelve minutes later Alessandro Florenzi doubled the lead with a curling shot. In the next forty minutes there wasn't much happening but in the 74th minute Choupo-Moting got a brace from a counter attack. Once again Corleone let Rafael Marquez come on from the bench to lift the trophy. Hellas Verona had secured the domestic double!

UEFA Champions League. The most prestigious club competition on the planet. The best club competition on the planet. Two teams, one dream, one night. Wembley Stadium was hosting it's second Champions League final in four years. The atmosphere was amazing. Could this be the moment when Hellas Verona become the best in Europe?
Bayern kicked off the game and they started a dangerous attack straight away. Robert Lewandowski ran towards the goal before playing Mario Götze through. The young German had a shot from outside the box which flew into the top left corner. There was nothing Perin in goal could've done. Verona went on the attack and ten minutes later Eric Choupo-Moting found the back of the net with a finess shot. 1-1. The game slowed down after that and it took fifty minutes before another goal was scored. Dennis Praet scored from a counter attack and Verona were in the lead! Bayern started attacking a lot and they got a corner in stoppage time. The ball was crossed straight at Mattia Perin but the keeper DIDN'T CATCH IT AND PATRICK WEICHRAUCH F*CKING EQUALISED. The game went to extra time and ten minutes into the first half Verona got a penalty. The captain Rafael Marquez, who was playing his last professional game of football, stepped to take it. He shot the ball at the top left corner and it went in! Verona were in the lead again! Bayern switched back to attacking and in the 113th minute Thomas Müller had a shot which was parried. Rafael Marquez tried to clear it but it HIT ARJEN ROBBEN IN HIS HEAD and the Dutch winger tapped it in. Neither team did anything in the remaining seven minutes and it was penalty time.

The final of the Coppa Italia -or TIM Cup- was here. Rome's Olympic Stadium was full of fans of both teams. Hellas Verona had reached their first cup final since 1984 and they were the favourites. It was kick off time.
Hellas Verona started the game with a lot of pressure in attack. They passed the ball around, looking for space. Before the twenty-minute mark Eric Choupo-Moting received the ball on the right side of the box. He took a shot but the keeper parried the ball. Choupo-Moting then shot again and the ball went in thanks to a deflection. Verona had taken the lead! They continued in control and twelve minutes later Alessandro Florenzi doubled the lead with a curling shot. In the next forty minutes there wasn't much happening but in the 74th minute Choupo-Moting got a brace from a counter attack. Once again Corleone let Rafael Marquez come on from the bench to lift the trophy. Hellas Verona had secured the domestic double!

UEFA Champions League. The most prestigious club competition on the planet. The best club competition on the planet. Two teams, one dream, one night. Wembley Stadium was hosting it's second Champions League final in four years. The atmosphere was amazing. Could this be the moment when Hellas Verona become the best in Europe?
Bayern kicked off the game and they started a dangerous attack straight away. Robert Lewandowski ran towards the goal before playing Mario Götze through. The young German had a shot from outside the box which flew into the top left corner. There was nothing Perin in goal could've done. Verona went on the attack and ten minutes later Eric Choupo-Moting found the back of the net with a finess shot. 1-1. The game slowed down after that and it took fifty minutes before another goal was scored. Dennis Praet scored from a counter attack and Verona were in the lead! Bayern started attacking a lot and they got a corner in stoppage time. The ball was crossed straight at Mattia Perin but the keeper DIDN'T CATCH IT AND PATRICK WEICHRAUCH F*CKING EQUALISED. The game went to extra time and ten minutes into the first half Verona got a penalty. The captain Rafael Marquez, who was playing his last professional game of football, stepped to take it. He shot the ball at the top left corner and it went in! Verona were in the lead again! Bayern switched back to attacking and in the 113th minute Thomas Müller had a shot which was parried. Rafael Marquez tried to clear it but it HIT ARJEN ROBBEN IN HIS HEAD and the Dutch winger tapped it in. Neither team did anything in the remaining seven minutes and it was penalty time.

Dagenham update we are January 2017 and are in a five way battle for the top of Champions League. It has been a brutal stretch for us losing the last two matches. Next we have Blackburn in a FA Cup battle. We advanced out of the group stage in the Euro League and face Ajax in February.
Wales has been a force in World Cup qualifiers with a few matches left. Bale went down for two months with a broken toe. But fortunately for us that was in November and our next matches are in March.
Is it me or what but the May boost has not been as impactful on xbox1 as on 360. Have five star scouts and 70-90 potential players. Some players have been on my team for a season and a half get playing time and still have not grown one point a CAM player for me.

The first game of December was against Schalke, a team struggling but not far from the top, so we knew if we gave them a chance, they would still beat us. The first half was rather dull, neither team had shots and the players were busy battling for the ball in the midfield. I was hoping that second half was going to be more interesting, and it was.
We were moving the ball a lot better and it finally paid off, as a great cross into the box by Herrmann was finished by Herrmann. The lead was ours, and we doubled it, as we hit them on a counter, only this time, Herrmann passed it to the edge of the box, where Ibisevic took a good touch and smashed in another one.
I felt that the game was comfortably in our hands, yet when Ulreich made a mistake from kick-off and passed it to Choupo-Moting, he smashed it in and gave one back. Yet, we luckily held on to the lead and got the 3 points!
After the great win against Schalke, we went against Mainz. I fielded almost the same squad, swapping out Kostic for Herrmann. And while Mainz didn't look good, we did not look better at all. We moved the ball slowly and our chances were rather poor.
I was thinking since the Mainz were not attacking and we couldn't get a goal, we might aswell get the point from the game. But then, a cross into the box gets poorly cleared by Schwaab and finds the head of Okazaki, who puts it in the net and makes us lose. That just happened.
I told the guys to move upfront and try to get the goal, yet it never happened. Maxim was closely guarded in the box and Ibisevic had 2 guys on him the whole time. The wings were getting destroyed and we just looked very, very poor. I guess you can't stay happy for too long after a good win.
SO after a poor game, we went against Hamburg, another top 5 team. But I guess after I told everybody how mad I was with them, we played a lot better very early. And when Romeu gave a nice through ball to Ibisevic, he controlled it well and took a beautiful shot to the bottom corner - just like the team I knew before Mainz.
We kept attacking and creating chances, and we were rewarded later, since Gruezo got tackled in the box and we earned a penalty. Ibisevic stepped up to take it and he put it away very well. I took Maxim and Ibisevic off at the start of the second half, so they could rest for the cup game.
We still looked the same, as our counter-attacks were on point and we were solid defensively. Again, it paid off in the end, as some good passing play and a through ball from Gruezo to Herrmann - another goal. I was really happy with the result, and knew that this was going to help us in the last 2 games of the month.
So, our last 2 games of the month were both against Paderborn - first one in the league, second one in the cup. I changed the squad up, since the cup game was going to be 2 days later. I was still confident that we would win, though.
We moved the ball nicely, yet the end product was not there. Paderborn played well, so I knew that the cup tie was going to be difficult aswell.
We did manage to get a goal, as Ginzcek got taken down in the box, which awarded us a penalty. Maxim stepped up to take it and he smashed it in. I was pretty happy with our performance, yet now we had to beat them again.
So a few days after the win, we went against them again in the cup game. Even though the last game was difficult, I was sure that we got the best draw out of most of the teams. It started off well, we were making good moves and even scored twice, yet both of the goals were called offside. It did disappoint me, yet I knew that if we play on like this, we would have no problem scoring. Yet then, something happened.
The game was close to its end, and neither team looked like scoring. Then, as Rüdiger tried to pass it to Leitner, it got intersepted and crossed into the our box. The ball bounced there for a while and nobody got to it to clear it. Then, out of nowhere, Lakic was the first one to it and he managed to score it. I couldn't believe it. We got knocked out of the Pokal in such fashion. The worst way to finish the month.
A new player, as Herrmann really impressed me this month with his movement and skill. He seems to be fitting into the team now, and I am quite happy with it. I know it is his first season and hopefully he will be a lot more impactful next season.
Well, what can I say?
Getting kicked out of the cup wasn't great, yet we are top of the league again. Even if it is with GD, I am still happy with our league performance. I am completely disappointed with our cup performance, we should have beat Paderborn for sure.
I will try to make the January update later, it isn't going to be a long one, since January only has one game against M'Gladbach, but it will also involve a squad update (OVR and ages) and it might involve transfers. So many questions that need answering!
