Oh boy Simppu and Indi.
I have a mutiny on my hands in FIFA. Have any you experienced this. We are in third one point over fourth place Empoli. We just had a terrible lost to Torino 4-1. I go and look at my squad report and most of my team except Gervinho and Doumbia are upset or outraged over team performance. I might have to cut bait if we cannot pull this thing together.Currently playing: (In order of Most Time)

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
A little bit more on topic, has anyone ever made a career mode with a created team? Is that even possible in FIFA 15? I remember way back in FIFA 05 there was an option in the menu to create a team and edit their kits/crest/name etc. I think it would be fun to create a team and start it like in League 2 or something.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Right. Apology time.
Last night was a nasty bit of work on my end. Normally, I don't bother responding to criticism of Chelsea that isn't put forth properly i.e. banter. I've got so used to it over the years that it doesn't faze me. Usually. Sober, anyway.
Last night, a title was won. Drinks were poured. Meat was grilled. Debates were had. More drinks. Then I came on to this forum and found the usual 'boring Chelsea' stuff. I suppose it set me off when I was in too passionate a mood, but being p*ssed is no excuse for some of the things I said.
I want to apologise to Simppu first of all. Sorry, mate. We debated and argued for a bit, then it got to a point where I crossed a line. Probably shouldn't have made it personal, but I was drunk and had no idea what I was doing. Still doesn't justify it. I hope you don't hold it against me, but I understand if you do.
Secondly, sorry to Jamie who was only trying to defuse the situation but ended up getting in the crosshairs a bit. That was uncalled for on my end. And sorry to everyone else who had to witness this side of me.
If everyone (Simp especially) is ready to put this behind us, well and good. I look forward to sticking around (once I delete the offending posts for my own peace of mind). Dealing with a drunk fool once is annoying enough. Lord knows I wouldn't risk the experience several times over.Comment

I'm gonna post my take on the whole 'boring Chelsea' part later, I ask you not to delete any comments, since I just want to catch up but gotta head to school atm.

October 2014
October 4, City Ground
FL Championship: Match 9
Nott'm Forest 2-1 Wolves
Assombalonga 78' 88'
Henry 90'
MotM: Karl Darlow (NFO, 8.5)
So annoyed that we left in a last minute goal to throw away the clean sheet. Burke had a penalty stopped around the half hour mark and Ikeme made a string of good saves through out the match. Assombalonga won the game with his brace inside the last 12 minutes. Chalobah sent a brilliant long range ball over the top for goal number one and Cataldi gave a delicate chip over the defence for the second. Henry tapped in a rebound for a consolation goal in the last minute.
October 11, John Smith's Stadium
FL Championship: Match 10
Huddersfield 0-3 Nott'm Forest
Paterson 9' Dicko 58' Assombalonga 63' Darlow s/o 69'
MotM: Jack Hunt (NFO, 8.0)
Really happy with the result and the clean sheet. The sending off was a clear red card, so I've no complaints on that. The ball was hoofed down field and Darlow came outside his box where he took a bad touch allowing Vaughan to nip in and steal the ball. Darlow then followed through taking him out and getting sent off. But by that stage we were three up thanks to Paterson, Dicko and Assombalonga. Paterson curled around Murphy after Coady controlled the ball badly. For the second, it was a well worked corner that ended with Dicko heading in off the post. To finish things off Assombalonga scored his third goal in two games. He stepped back into space so he could tap in Hunt's cross after the fullback had made a great run.
Suspension
Karl Darlow will serve a 1 game ban due to picking up a red card against Huddersfield.
October 18, City Ground
FL Championship: Match 11
Nott'm Forest 3-3 Brighton
Assombalonga 30' Paterson 57' Dicko 69'
Colunga 36' Toko 56' Lualua 77'
MotM: Britt Assombalonga (NFO, 9.1)
Britt was unstoppable up front having a hand in all 3 goals. He headed in a Burke cross before he slid Paterson in, to finish past Stockdale, down the left. Before this Brighton had gone 2-1 up. Colunga got the equalizer in the 36th and Toko headed in just one minute before Jamie Paterson's goal. Both were down to poor defending on our part. When there was 21 minutes left on the clock Malian striker Dicko used his pace to get away from Brighton's back four and put the ball by Stockdale. However Lualua would have the last laugh snatching a point when he turned Mancienne too easily and slotted past de Vires.
October 25, City Ground
FL Championship: Match 12
Nott'm Forest 0-0 Blackpool
MotM: Joe Lewis (BLP, 8.0)
Joe Lewis was absolutely outstanding in goal for the Tangerines. He made 10 saves and that, rightfully so, earned him MOTM. We could not break that stubborn, orange wall no matter how hard we tried and believe me we did. We ended the game with 9 out of 13 shots on target.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Right, first off, I'll go through all the CMs that I have missed in a bit, promise!
Second off, about Chelsea. Bare in mind this is coming from an Arsenal fan, but I will try to be as brutally honest as I can.
I've been an Arsenal fan ever since the Invincibles, when players like Henry, Gilberto Silva, Kolo Toure, Vieira and Cole were a part of the most dominating force in the league. In short - we were really good, like honestly. But to look back to this, before all of this, we were a pretty "boring" side aswell.
The old, famous "1-0 to the Arsenal" chant comes from the days of George Graham and the mighty defense that we had, with the likes of Adams,Dixon, Bould and Winterburn. Graham made Arsenal very defensive oriented and we were not an exciting team, at all. You could say we were "boring" like Chelsea.
Now, those days are way before me and I've only read about them and watched a few games, yet let me get back to my point - since the Invincibles season, I have still been a fan. And being an Arsenal fan, really doesn't make you a gloryhunter. I haven't seen us win the league ever since, and it is tough, it really is.
Arsenal play exciting football, they really do. But you can't say that we play WINNING football. As a fan of the club, it doesn't make me happy, seeing all the other big teams win the title. The only thing that does make me happier is that the Spuds are still bad. Now, what about Chelsea?
Chelsea won yesterday, and it hurts to see Fabregas win it there aswell. Congrats to you, even though I still don't like you guys at all. Moro plays defensive football, and as anybody who isn't a fan of Chelsea, might find it boring. And personally, I don't blame em. Chelsea came to the Emirates to play for a draw and managed to do that. You have one of the best defensive lines in the world, why not play defensively.
Yet as a fan, a Chelsea fan, I can see you obviously liking this style of play, because you are winning due to it. I guess the best way of putting this, is the quote that Cruyff said:
"Quality without results is pointless. Results without quality is boring."
This is true, and this applies to most teams in the world. I love Arsenal, we play pretty fun football and it is pretty on the eye, yet we don't win much. Chelsea do play a defensive style of football and it works, yet it really is boring for a spectator. However, for a fan of the club, it is the greatest thing, since you are winning.
So, in short - Would I trade our style of play for a more defensive style of play, yet a trophy-winning one? Yes. Indi and Keano, you are Chelsea fans, and I can see why you like the style of play, since it is working. Yet I also understand why the common viewer might find it boring. When Moro wants to play for a draw, you do that probably the best in the world.
Just my thoughts on this, if anybody wants to add anything - feel free.Comment

Secondly, as Keano said, we did play attractive football for large portions of the campaign. People who call us boring have short memories as he said, forgetting that we were one of Europe's best and most attractive sides in the first half of the season. We then adapted to a style of play that others seem to have too much pride to do, which is perfectly fine with me. Maybe it's because we were unsuccessful for large parts of our history that our fans have no problem with it. There's no room for football elitism at Chelsea FC.
Third, it's not that we enjoy the style of play. I won't lie to you. It's not fun watching us pass aimlessly around the back UNTIL we get that goal on the break. The fun comes not from watching my team play, but from watching my team WIN. I can tolerate less flair and more industry if it will give me a trophy at the end of the season. As you pointed out, so would you. Unless you support Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool or Ajax, chances are you want trophies more than you want pretty football.
I think that many people who criticise us for not playing open, attacking footie every single match forget about something called fatigue. You can't have a fixture calendar as crammed as the English one without any winter break, and still expect to keep up with attacking football. That requires you to press with intensity when you don't have the ball; it is physically and mentally draining. I would rather my manager prioritise the players' fitness and our results over the opinions of people, who quite frankly will find any reason to hate us, either because of rivalries or jealousy that Roman Abramovich didn't pick their team in 2003 (not a dig at you).
Again, I appreciate the constructive debate. Thanks for your compliments and for posing your criticism in a mature way. Despite its flaws and inaccuracies, this is actually one of the most mature arguments I have ever heard from an Arsenal fan.
It's fine Indi. No need to apologise to me, I sat back as soon as I saw the booing Ronaldo post as I thought, that doesn't seem like a normal Indi post.
Also, great respect for you, it takes a real man to own up and admit his mistakes and apologise. So, good on you for that.
Btw, out of curiosity, what made you start supporting Chelsea?
My first Chelsea game (on telly) was in 1995, right after we had signed Ruud Gullit and began the era of Sexy Football. I was quite young then and didn't really support Chelsea, but ironically enough, it was the quality of football that attracted me to the club. Still, we had tough characters like Dennis Wise and Steve Clarke back then to provide spine and grit. We had Dan Petrescu and signed Robbie Di Matteo that year for a record fee, and then over the next few seasons, I started watching more often as we signed guys like Marcel Desailly and George Weah. I would stay up late sometimes, especially for cup ties.
But there was one man who captivated me more than anyone else. He captivated an entire generation. Can you guess who? Zola, of course. He was god as far as I was concerned. He could do whatever he wanted to the ball. He was up there with Bergkamp and Le Tissier as the finest manipulators of the ball in the English game. I worshipped the man.
Then in 2000, we beat Aston Villa in the FA Cup final at the old Wembley. I was there with two cousins and an uncle, two of whom supported Southampton and one of whom supported Villa. It was my first live Chelsea match, having only been to Aldershot and Southampton games before that. Robbie scored the only goal and then signed my shirt afterwards, as did Dennis Wise and Weah. Later on, we ran into Zola as he was leaving for the team bus. I got a photo and another signature on the shirt.
That was the day I stopped following any other team. It was the day my love for Chelsea was cemented in stone. 12 years later, I was in a tattoo parlour in Miami, revelling in our win in Munich, getting the Chelsea badge inked on the left of my chest, right over my heart, in full colour. Legend says the blood that came out of me that day was blue.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Ha Ho He
March 2017
Fortuna Düsseldorf 1 - 2 Hertha BSC
Aristogrieta 87'
Kalou 18', Draxler 72'
Bottom of the table Fortuna Düsseldorf didn't prove to be a throwing bag in this game. Even though the Berliners took the lead under twenty minutes into the game thanks to Salomon Kalou's header the home had some dangerous attacks. Twenty minutes before the end of the game Julian Draxler ran down the right wing and shot the ball into the top right corner from a counter attack. Fifteen minutes later the Venezuelan Aristogrieta pulled one back with a powerful and accurate shot that found it's way into the bottom left corner of the net.
Hertha BSC 3 - 0 FC Köln
Calhanoglu 45', 73', Draxler 75'
The other bottom two team FC Köln failed to create any major chances away from home in Berlin. The game was under Hertha's control and right before the break Hakan Calhanoglu was taken down outside the box which resulted in a red card and a free kick. The Turkish maestro stepped up to take it and curled it over the wall into the net. Half an hour later the same man who had been dominating the midfield got a brace by finishing a good passing move with a powerful shot. Right after that goal Julian Draxler added another one to the scoreline after he stole the ball from kickoff. In stoppage time Hertha could've scored one more but Salomon Kalou's penalty went wide of the post.
Round of 16
Hertha BSC (5) 2 - 0 (0) Liverpool FC
Son 21', Calhanoglu 31'
After beating the English side by three goals at Anfield the pressure was on Hertha. Everyone expected Liverpool to fight till the last minute but that certainly wasn't the case here. Just like a of couple weeks earlier Hertha dominated the game and Liverpool looked nothing like a Champions League side. This time the scoreline was opened by Heung-Min Son who tapped the ball into the net from Hakan Calhanoglu's low cross twenty minutes into the game. Ten minutes after that the young attacking midfielder got a goal himself. Son played a through ball which split Liverpool's defence and Calhanoglu put the ball into the net with a first time shot. The following hour wasn't the most exciting but the most important thing was that Liverpool failed to score and Hertha were through! Their next opponent will be Athletic Bilbao who will play against them later this month.
Bayern München 1 - 0 Hertha BSC
Schweinsteiger 41'
This is a game every Hertha fan will want to forget as soon as possible. In this battle between the top two of the league Bayern were the much better side. They started the game off by attacking from everywhere and only Diego Benaglio denied them from scoring. Finally after several chances Bastian Schweinsteiger scored the only goal of the game with a header five minutes before half time. In the second half Hertha tried to equalise but they failed as they registered only one shot in the whole game.
Quarter Final
Hertha BSC 0 - 1 Athletic Bilbao
Muniain 76'
What a heart-breaking defeat this was as well! After their team beat Liverpool easily the supporters of Hertha expected the team to take down Bilbao quite easily. That was not what happened. The Basque side defended extremely well their fast and agile wingers were too much for Hertha. In the 76th minute Mikel Rico passed the ball to Aduriz at the edge of the box who then played the ball to Muniain. Some bad defending meant that the young winger had an easy job shooting the ball into the bottom right corner to secure the win. This game was the second one in a row where Hertha failed to score and even failed to get more than two shots in the game.
Player of the Month
Hakan Calhanoglu
The young Turk becomes the Player of the Month for the second time in a row after having a wonderful month of March. Calhanoglu controlled the attacking third of the pitch and he created many dangerous chances with his amazing shots and passing skills. He also scored three goals and assisted two more.
Bundesliga Table
1. Hertha BSC, 69 pts
2. Bayern München, 64 pts
3. Bayer Leverkusen, 49 pts
4. FC Schalke 04, 48 pts
5. Borussia Dortmund, 44 pts
6. VfL Wolfsburg, 44 pts
-------------------------------------------------------
16. SC Freiburg, 26 pts
17. Fortuna Düsseldorf, 16 pts
18. FC Köln, 16 pts
