    Press Conference:
Q: Congratualations on your second league title, was it tougher this year?
A: First off I would like to congratulate my players because they were magnificent this season and fully deserved this title. Also credit to Molde, they kept fighting to the very end and at one point looked as if the title was theirs but we didn't give up and managed to win the close encounter with Molde which essentially decided the title race.

Q: Helmersen had a sensational season, scoring 24 goals, how important is he to your side?
A: Helmersen is a huge part of this team and just shows what we are about. We are about developing young Norweigian talent and given these home grown players a chance they wouldn't get elsewhere. We hope that this will have a positive impact on the national team as we have a conveyor belt of young talent at the moment. Going back to Helmersen if he carries on progressing this well then he is going to be one of the most lethal strikers on the planet. As of now I'm issuing a hands off warning, he is not for sale at any cost.

Q: Any transfer news to tell the fans for next season?
A: We will continue with out recruitment process that we have been doing successfully in the past two seasons. We will not rush into the market, we have a list of targets drew up and it's just a matter of agreeing fees at thr moment. We are going to loan out a few of our up and coming talents as well to get them some valuable experience and hopefully they can progress into then first team if their loan spells are successful.

    Thanks for reading.

        Terms Agreed With Manyisa

Sunderland AFC are pleased to announce an agreement to sign Oupa Manyisa from Orlando Pirates, subject to a medical. Personal terms were agreed with the South Africa international, who will join the club on a free transfer on July 1 after his contract at the Orlando Stadium has expired. He will wear the no. 22 shirt.

Manyisa will arrive at the Stadium of Light having lifted two Premier Soccer League titles, two Nedbank Cups and a Telkom Knockout during his seven-year spell with Pirates. The 26-year-old is also firmly established as a regular for South Africa and has notched 31 caps since 2011.

Manyisa joined Orlando Pirates in 2008, establishing himself as their first-choice midfielder. He has made more than 300 appearances for the club, scoring more than 30 goals. Sunderland will be his first European side.

        Stones Transfer Completed

Sunderland AFC are delighted to announce the signing of John Stones from Everton. The 21-year-old defender has signed a four-year contract to become our second signing of the summer, following the arrival of Oupa Manyisa.

Stones said: 'I'm very happy to be joining Sunderland. After talking to the manager at length, I feel that this is where I can develop myself and contribute to the team. The prospect of playing European football was also very exciting. I'm looking forward to meeting the team to prepare for our preseason tour.'

Valentin Roberge will wear the no. 12 shirt after returning from Stade de Reims on loan, with Stones taking the no. 5 shirt vacated by Wes Brown upon his retirement.

Stones, who stands 6 feet 2 inches, spent the past one-and-a-half campaigns with Everton, having joined from his first professional club Barnsley in early 2013. At Goodison Park he made more than 50 appearances, quickly establishing himself as first choice as Everton finished as quarter-finalists in the 2014-15 Europa League.

Born in Barnsley, Stones came through the South Yorkshire club's youth academy to sign professional forms in December 2011. He made his professional debut in the Championship in a 4-0 defeat to Reading and scored his only goal for Barnsley on his first start, equalising before halftime in a League Cup match at Rochdale.

        Ings Deal Completed

Sunderland AFC are pleased to announce Danny Ings has joined the club on a five-year deal. The 22-year-old England U21 international's transfer will be finalised pending a medical. Ings, who will fly out to meet his new teammates in France within the next 24 hours, will wear the no. 23 shirt vacated by Emanuele Giaccherini.

A versatile forward, Ings began his career at Bournemouth before joining Burnley as a 19-year-old in 2011 for an initial fee of £1,000,000. He made his debut in a 2-0 win against Barnsley and went on to make 130 appearances for the Clarets, scoring 43 goals.

Manager Indi Blue said: 'Danny is one of the best attacking players in England, and I'm thrilled to have him join the team in time for preseason. I'm sure he will find his time at Sunderland enjoyable, and as a young player with outstanding ability, I think our fans will be very excited about seeing him in action for the team.'

Your promotion, as you rightly said, was never in doubt barring the most spectacular of collapses. The Championship will be a rough ride even if you get a fat budget, because none of the best players will be ready to drop down a division. Besides, you seem to have a good team developing with a strong core. That's something you may not wish to tamper with. I did the same with Duncan Watmore, who now shows that he can touch 80+ overall. Watmore is the new Buckley!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Gonna comment on some careers, as although I have been reading them I haven't been commenting much on them.

@Indi: You were in and out of the top 4 for most of the season and even though you eventually finished 6th, that is still a great finish for a team of Sunderland's standard, no disrespect to any supporters. I'd think that you would have rather not be playing in the Champions League in your 2nd season anyway due to the gap in quality. Will the Europa League be a priority? Or is solidifying your league position first on the agenda? 3 nice transfers there. Ings and Stones are both young and have bags of potential while being able to contribute right away. Manyisa is a good find and I hadn't heard of him before. He is small but looks like a rounded midfielder and still has his best years ahead of him. I assume that there are more to come, including departures? I liked the detailed season review you gave, it wasn't just your team too which was a nice touch.

@Tex: Congrats on the promotion which, as you said, was never in doubt. You should secure the title as well to go along with your J. Paint Trophy win! Congrats on that too, especially seeing as you really wanted it. I hope that you don't get a terrible budget for the Championship but I'm sure you will. How long do you want to spend there? A season or 2 building for the Prem? Also how is your debt situation looking right now?

@Luke: Well done on a 2nd title! Helmersen, Johansen and Ødegaard were all crucial in the run in at the end of the season. Helmersen particularly had a monstrous season banging in the goals. Do you think that you can get further in Europe next season? Or have you another 1 or 2 seasons of building to do first?

@JC: Welcome to the forum! Glad to see you pick Swansea. They were my first career on '15 and it was probably one of my most enjoyable ones. Looking forward to see how far you can take them. You haven't had the best of starts but you said that you think you know how to use your players now so the form should pick up soon. Good luck!

@Cabee: Just my luck that the only 2 players to be sent off were both in my team! You can do the swaps you mentioned (Wilson for Matic and Stones for Fonte) but can you switch to a 4-4-2 Diamond Wide. Same back four with Cabaye (CDM), Sanchez (RM), Bojan (LM) and Silva at CAM. Thanks!

@Morgan: Good start with Walsall. Being top after 5 games is a nice place to be. Your last 3 games have been wins so you are starting to put some momentum together. Keep it up!

@Cruzerr: You're doing well against the big teams but not so well against lower teams. That seems to be the case a lot of the time unfortunately. Good going on being 2nd at the midway point of the season though. Who do you think has been your best player?

@Simp: You absolutely rolled over Elche in the semis of the CDR, how the hell did they even manage to get there!?!?! Griezmann and Sanchez had made an instant impact while Feghouli and Negredo are both on form as well. Crazy game against Juve with a lot of goals!

@Jamie: Great start with Monaco keeping 3 clean sheets and getting 3 wins. Dybala looks to have proved himself already! You made some nice signings for the defence too! Let's see how far you can take this team!

@Rabbit: Good to see you stopping in for a little update. Congrats on the league and destroying Real in the CDR. Shame about the WC with Argentina but Venezuela should be fun. Looks like you are on course for the treble. Have you managed it yet in this career? Look forward to seeing ya check in again.

@Blue Eagle: Tough month there. 8th is still a good place to finish and with 4 hard fixtures in store for your last 5 games, you may just start looking ahead to the new season. Good job so far.

That's as far back as I'm going to go. If I somehow missed your update or it was before these ones, I have read it don't be mad!

Helmersen is just a beast and I have high hopes for Ødegaard especially the way he performed at the end of thr season. Hauge is another youngster I have high hopes for he is looking really good and he is another who is only 18 and 71ovr. As for Europe just got drawn again atletico Madrid in the qualifier so I think it's guna be another 1 to 2 years before a serious challenge.

I finished the season last night and will have updates up at some point in the next few days for that as well as the season review, but I'll go ahead and answer a couple of your questions here.

As for my debt, it is officially paid off. After making the Europa League for this season that just finished, I was given at £6M budget. That meant that the season that just finished was the last where I will be restricted in terms of transfer window profits. I have the numbers to back up all of my expenses and revenues that I will put up with my season review. But, next transfer window should be a big one for building the squad.

As for my budget, they gave me a whopping £10M for my first season in the Championship. I'm assuming it's since I didn't spend any of my £6M from the season before due to my transfer restrictions. Either way, I'm excited to make some good additions.

And lastly, I am hoping to spend a couple years to try to build the squad just a little, but if I can sneak into a promotion place I won't complain. I would rather have the extra time to build though.

                    POR - Pack 85' (PEN)
                    MOTM: Al Sobea

Nugent missed his challenge and Bennett threaded the ball through for Robinson to slot home on the near post. Wallace was taken down in box and Pack stepped up to the spot and put the ball just over the keeper's reach for the late equalizer.

                    Portsmouth FC 1 - 1 Notts County
                    POR - Mahoney 37'
                    NOT - Al Hafith 86'
                    MOTM: Carroll

Pack sent a corner into the box and found Mahoney for a perfectly placed header that floated over the keeper's reach and into the goal. Cropper gave the ball away on a throw and Murray chipped a ball into the box that Al Hafith was able to first time through the keeper's legs for the equalizer.

                    Leyton Orient 2 - 3 Portsmouth FC
                    LEY - Dagnall 48', Simpson 81'

                    MOTM: Pack

Hahn was taken down on the left side of goal just as he was about to shoot and Pack converted from the spot down the middle of the goal. Another penalty was awarded after Nugent was taken out on a corner kick and Pack converted again using a hesitation and then powering it to the right side of the net as the keeper went to the other side. Cropper turned the ball over on a goal kick and Dagnall hit it back first time into the net. Dagnall sent in a cross and Shiels was able to flick it on towards the back post for Simpson to slot home for an equalizer. Mahoney broke got the ball from Barker down the left side of the box and he pushed it to the end line before sending in a low cross that was deflected into the net by Omozusi for an own goal.

                    POR - Atangana 14'
                    MOTM: Atangana

Atangana broke free down the left wing and attacked the defense by splitting two defenders to go through on goal and blast a shot into the top left corner for the only goal of the match.

                    BRE - Diagouraga 7', Webster 48' (OG)
                    MOTM: Diagouraga

Diagouraga timed his run perfectly and Betinho found him up the middle for the quick strike into the right side of the goal. Grigg took the ball away from the defense and went through uncontested on goal before clanking his shot off the left post but fortunately had it ricochet off of Webster for an own goal.

                    Portsmouth FC 1 - 3 Charlton Athletic
                    POR - Jamieson IV 10'
                    CHA - Inman 4', Jackson 47', 80'
                    MOTM: Jackson

Jackson found Inman on the right side of the box and he placed it perfectly to the bottom left corner for the opener. Mahoney played the ball to Jamieson outside of the box and he made a quick turn to go through on goal and slot it inside the near post. Jackson got the ball outside of the box and avoided a defender and he used his left foot to power the ball inside the near post. Jackson got the ball again on the right side of the box and he used his right foot to hit the ball perfectly to the far post to double the lead and put the match away.

                    Manager Comments

League Title - We officially locked up the league after our draw against Doncaster at the start of the month. After that it was just a mix of line ups trying to get everyone some playing time, especially the young players. The results dipped, but we were more concerned with giving some younger players a chance on the field.

Youth Academy - We added a new goal keeper to our academy. Gary Roberts joins, and at 6'5" he is a giant already at the age of 16. In other academy news, we are expecting to promote Drey Beasant to the senior squad before the start of next season. He will most likely see time in the center of the defense with his 6'6" frame, but we will heavily consider sending him out on loan if we find the right club for him to get a chance.

Debt Free - With the season officially over, the finances have been tallied up, and our debt is 100% paid off. We will release more details on this later, but our transfer restrictions will be relaxed now, and building the squad in anticipation of the Premier League in coming years will become priority. Although, we know that we can't become reckless with our money still. We have to make the right additions that will help us for continued success so that we can continue to fund our club and not go back into debt.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

                        Right, from page 1204

@Simppu - Your transfers are absolutely sickening, my god. Such a strong team. It showed instantly, the way you bossed all the teams.

You completely destroyed Elche and Atletico, yet the game against Juventus must have been a really good one to play! Can't wait to see how the second leg goes!

@LukeWhu94 - Unlucky to see your streak end at November, a very tight league aswell, so it will be interesting to see how you keep on doing.

Your window went pretty well, as the team got a lot stronger. Like the signing of Elyounoussi. Still a very tight table, hope you don't slip up as I read on. :d

By the end of March, it seems that you have taken the lead by quite a bit of points, so hopefully you can continue the good form and finish it with style.

And there it is, congrats on the title man!

Now, about the new season, I can't believe how well you did against PSV, 4-0?? How?? Rough start in CL, but looking at your group, I don't blame you.

My god, you won another title? *** **** you got through those seasons so quick. Well done!

@Jagger - Great way to start with Coventry, I love the post itself and I love the vision and the foundation you have laid out.

@ChicoBass - You are on a very hot start. You and Sportsfreak still have loose ends to finish up. You held well against Real Madrid and took the win late against Sevilla. Also, I like the intensity when you write, atleast I felt it when I was reading it. :P

@Moose - I mean, I was gonna write unlucky against Barca, but they really were the better team. Still, the win against West Brom makes the league interesting!

@Blue Eagle - That is a rough, rough month. And looking at next month, it doesn't seem to go better. But ey, maybe you are like me and play better against the bigger teams!

@Jamie - some solid moves to start with Monaco, I like it how most of the players you got are French or play in France. Dybala looks like a gem, keep it up!

@Keano - I haven't actually noticed that you made this CM, interesting. I like the team choice, similar to Chico and Sportsfreak, I guess you will join their rivalry! Still, your team is substantially weaker than theirs, and you are at the place where you should be, maybe some good pieces added in and you will be balling. Interesting to see how this will play out.

@Indi - Good finish and I also like the "In a nutshell" writing aswell. Plus, the way you summed up your season was nice aswell, going to try that. Also, liking the new signings of Stones and Ings!

@JC - Rough start, even worse with Michu and his injury. Still, I welcome you to the forum here and hope you keep on posting!

@Tex - Congrats on the promotion and the title, but like you said it yourself, ther was no doubt. Nice to see that the dept is payed, now you are going to build a strong team to shake the PL with!

I got a surprise coming for Chico 2 updates from now. I've been dealing with a close family member dying last Tuesday and I had the Funeral/Burial Sunday and Monday. I haven't had a chance to play Fifa really because of my grief from it. I have started my next update and hopefully I'll have it up by the end of the week

Or if you go back to my early Betis posts back on like pg 950-1000 you'll see that I had numerous matches where the game ended 0-0 or 1-0 defeats. Doesn't matter how good you are at the game, even the best players have games where nothing goes right.

Creating a chance pretty much means a pass that leads to a shot. A pass that leads to a goal is an assist (maybe they're the same thing? I'm not too sure.). Don't worry, you'll end up smashing that '20 or 30 chances created' expectation. Just look for a foward pass and be agressive on the attack. The less you think about it, the more you'll get is what I always notice.
Thanks again guys. After a few more games I'm still a 69 overall but I've scored 2 more goals (I'm at 4 total) and created 6 chances so I must be doing something right. I have two more questions that I just thought about:

                              1. When I'm playing as just my player, I hardly ever get passed to by other members of my team. I try to set myself up for getting the ball by making sure I have enough space between myself and a defender but I'm still pretty much ignored. My match rating is suffering because of this since I never really have a chance to do anything with the ball. Is there something I need to be doing that I'm not? Or is it just the CPU being the CPU.

                              2. I know there are a million answers to this question but what is the best way to attack? I play as the whole squad sometimes since I usually get a better match rating for my player but when I'm on offense I can't really seem to get anything going. I've tried passing it around hoping someone can find an open lane for someone to get a clean shot at goal but that seems to almost never work. I've scored a few times but that seemed to be dumb luck more than anything. Is there away to lob it down field to a player on the run? I've tried something like that but the ball almost always goes to far or a player from the other team intercepts it. Any basic tips I can try would be awesome.

With all that said I still am enjoying the game. I know I have a bit of learning curve but I have had a few good matches.

To answer the first question, you know if you press the pass button while off the ball you ask your team mates to pass to you? (For example: If the CPU has the ball and is looking for a pass, you press: A (for Xbox) X (For Playstation) and I'm not too sure what the pass button is on PC. When you press it, you'll see a little icon next to your player which means he's asking for a pass and 99% of the time, the CPU will pass to you, even if it's a really bad decision, they'll still try and pass it to you.

Your second question is difficult to answer.

You can play the possession game? All you do is pass it around in their half and wait for them to make the mistake for allow some space for one of your players to run into. It also depends on your (and their) team. Is it full of really quick wingers and a really tall striker? Then run down the wings of the pitch and cross the ball into the big player or even just boot it up to that big striker and hope he does something with it. There are so many ways to attack and none are paticularly the 'best'. It depends on your confidence, skill, team and mindset. Just don't run straight at the defence because you'll just lose the ball, and on FIFA, any attack may well lead to a goal so you don't just want to waste chances.

Sorry if there are spelling/grammar mistakes or something doesn't make sense, i'm typing this in a hurry and can't be bothered to read through it again.
