That was the actual score line man This is why I don't play 10 minute halves, I end up with insane score lines like that

          Portsmouth FC
          FIFA 15 - Season 3

          Pompey's March to the Top

          February 2017

          F.A. Cup Replay
Portsmouth FC 3 - 0 Aston Villa FC
          POR - Jamieson IV 12', 54', Russell 87'
          MOTM: Makasi

Russell cut the ball in from the right wing and attacked the end line to send a low ball across the box for Jamieson to tap in on the back post. Jamieson got the ball outside of the box and attacked the left side of the goal to fire a shot that hit off the keeper's feet and went in on the near post. Russell got the ball on the counter and got past the last the defender to go through on goal and blast a shot past the keeper into the top right corner.

          Portsmouth FC 1 - 0 Middlesbrough FC
          POR - Kike 84' (PEN)
          MOTM: Pack

Nugent mistimed his tackle in the box and conceded a penalty late in the match. Kike stepped up to the spot and chipped the ball down the middle as the keeper dove to the right.

          Brentford FC 2 - 1 Portsmouth FC
          BRE - Grigg 27' (PEN), Judge 31'
          POR - Drennan 73'
          MOTM: Holla

A questionable penalty was awarded and Grigg chipped it down the middle for the opening goal. McCormack sent a long ball in from the left side of the field and found Judge for a looping header over the keeper to double the lead. Hahn beat his man down the right wing and he sent a low ball into the box for Drennan to direct into the net.

          Cardiff City 1 - 2 Portsmouth FC
          CAR - Origi 89'
          POR - Nugent 33', Tubbs 90'
          MOTM: Holla

Holla sent a corner into the box and Nugent rose above the defenders and headed it home for the opening goal. Kennedy headed the ball to Origi on the edge of the box and he turned inside and slotted the ball into the bottom left corner for an equalizer. Pereira found Tubbs outside of the box and he turned outside to get around the defender and go through into the box for a strong shot past the keeper on the near post for a late winner.

          Portsmouth FC 0 - 0 Bristol City
          MOTM: Richards

The possession battle ended up equal, but Portsmouth was the team with the better chances all match long. Richards was the difference between the sticks though and he kept out Portsmouth's barrage on his goal.

          F.A. Cup Round of 16
          Portsmouth FC 3 - 2 Everton FC
          POR - Pereira 31', Hahn 45', Drennan 59'
          EVE - Mirallas 51', 90'
          MOTM: Mirallas

Pack played the ball to Pereira at the top of the box and he turned to the right to go through on goal and slot it into the bottom right corner. Pack held off a defender as he ran down the right wing and he sent a low cross in that found Hahn on the back post to double the lead. Lukaku found Mirallas on the edge of the box and he fired a long range shot into the bottom left corner. Drennan beat the defense and went through on goal and his shot was deflected by a defender sliding in and it moved it just enough for the keeper to scuff the save attempt and it rolled into the net. Coleman sent a cross in from the right wing and found Mirallas unmarked for an easy header into the top left corner.

          Birmingham City 0 - 2 Portsmouth FC
          POR - Tubbs 5', 23'
          MOTM: Adams

Adams was first to a loose ball in the box and he sent the ball across the box for Tubbs to tap in from in front of goal. Holla broke free down the left wing and pushed the ball towards the end line before sending it low into the box for Tubbs to tap in once again.

League Play - While the results weren't terrible, we slipped to 5th in the standings. The gap above us is opening more than our gap over those below us, and that is not where we want to be going right now. We have to get better if we want to make sure we finish in a playoff position.

F.A. Cup - The replay against Aston Villa went better than we could have imagined. We defended our home field and put them away easily in the end. After that we moved on to Everton and once again used our advantage inside of our own stadium and we moved on to the quarter finals to face Southampton.

Capital One Cup - Absolutely heart-breaking. We had the cup in our hands, and we let them knock in a rebound in the last minute to force extra time where Sterling scored to put us away. I feel awful for the players, I feel like I let them down, but we have to pick ourselves up and finish the season out and focus on the F.A. Cup as well.

Really? A League 2 team has a real chant in the game? Perhaps they've made England more realistic than I've thought. You wanna know something crazy? I've had this game since about Christmas, and I've never used an English team. The entire league had a makeover, and I've never used an English team not even in a friendly.

That's awesome! The reason behind it is rather sad, but it is a touching tribute. Improves my chances of carrying Portsmouth over to FIFA 16 though!

What a devastating end to your cup run! At least you have the FA Cup to look forward to now. Two wins away from another final, I think you will be able to do it this time. But let's see. I don't see QPR or Palace dropping enough points to make a difference in case you concentrate on league play, so maybe you can just continue as is and prioritise the games against your fellow playoff contenders.

Agreed. I just finished reading why Portsmouth's stadium made it to the game. The detail by the goal is remarkable too. Really nice emotional touch. Right in the feels.

When you make video games, you spend a great deal of time with people, and shipping an annual title makes a team very close. I worked with Simon daily for seven years, and feel like I – and the team – lost a family member. In terms of his legacy within FIFA, he was the daddy of Ultimate Team, and played a big role in career mode – many of the features coming this year were ones he was leading development on.” - David Rutter, VP and GM, EA SPORTS FIFA, speaking to The Guardian earlier this year.
I know that with EA we should never get our hopes up regarding Career Mode, but I just can't help it after reading stuff like this!

The story behind the addition is very sad but this just shows that EA could add any stadium if they wanted. While a League 2 stadium is being added (it's an honorable cause, I know) big teams with amazing stadiums like Bilbao, Sevilla, Benfica, Porto and even Celtic (who have a great atmosphere on Celtic Park) play on the dumb generic stadiums. Come on, change this faster. At least it's looking like the Bundesliga is getting the BPL treatment but so far EA haven't confirmed it.

Also, speaking of the chants, I don't know why EA thought that it would be more important to add chants for League 2 teams instead of other big European teams like Sevilla, Valencia and even PSG. I'm getting tired of hearing nothing but the same "Pooooorto, Poooorto" chant when I'm playing against them on the full Mestalla.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

After I got sacked by Koln, I had a look at the offers on the table. Only three clubs wanted me. Feyenoord are a big side in a pretty weak division without promotion and relegation, Paderborn require a bit more work than I'd like with such a low budget, and I wasn't too thrilled about moving to Stuttgart after the bull they pulled when I played them.

I decided to pick a club with a strong core: solid central defender, midfield general, and game-changing forward. These would be the three players I'd keep at the club for as long as possible and build around. My other criteria were a relatively healthy budget to make immediate improvements and good kits. So far, I've shortlisted three clubs that strike me as attractive options.

West Ham played a huge role in the 1966 England squad, so you have to respect them despite your club allegiance if you're English. Their academy has produced Joe Cole, Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard. A strong spine of Winston Reid, Andy Carroll and Mark Noble seems great to build on.

Crystal Palace have the potential to explode because they play in one of Europe's biggest cities. They have some solid lads in Mile Jedinak and Scott Dann, but the icing on the cake is Yannick Bolasie with his blend of power and pace. The starting budget is not too shabby, either.

Burnley deserve their reputation as a community club. The team is below average by Premier League standards, but Danny Ings is a talisman to build around, while Jason Shackell and Nathaniel Chalobah lead defence and midfield. This career would be similar to what Swansea have done.

As an aside, does anyone else find the gameplay during career mode in the Spanish/German/Italian leagues? I find the game especially slow and heavy in Italy. I understand the slower pace of the game because Italian football is slow, but there's no reason for players to feel like lead. Even in my few games with Koln, it always felt like the players simply didn't feel like pro footballers. It might just be my imagination, but it's a barrier between me and a career outside of England.

Stuggart isn't a bad offer but it seems as if starting fresh is what you want to do. As a West Ham fan I'm going to say West Ham would be the best career especially if you add the summer transfers but Burnley could be interesting and is probably the biggest challenge. Palace have the pace that could make them fun to use but I would opt for one of the Claret and Blue teams.

It's not that simple. Stadium scans take lots of money and effort, and EA are profitable because they don't accrue high expenses. They're a business, so why shouldn't they focus on making money? The company is profitable because they don't go around spending all their money on things like this when they know people will still buy the game. I've never complained about them dedicating so much effort to FUT because if I were in charge of EA, I would do the same thing for the game mode that generates the most income. They added a League Two stadium because it was important to one of their own, and it was probably a lot cheaper to do than the stadiums you mentioned. Even if it were expensive, they were doing it for someone who was like family to them. So I have to respectfully disagree with your train of thought here.

I'm getting tired of hearing nothing but the same "Pooooorto, Poooorto" chant when I'm playing against them on the full Mestalla.
This is again down to basic economics. Teams in England/Wales get more attention because the UK is where EA makes the most money off the FIFA series. When Germans, Italians, Turks, Americans and Spaniards spend the kind of money Brits do on FUT, they'll get their perks as well. Until then, there isn't much you can do except hope. Personally, I don't need things like real stadiums. They're nice but I'd rather have crisp gameplay, training sessions, and a youth squad.

I understand the slower pace of the game because Italian football is slow, but there's no reason for players to feel like lead. Even in my few games with Koln, it always felt like the players simply didn't feel like pro footballers. It might just be my imagination, but it's a barrier between me and a career outside of England.
I have never found the gameplay to be heavy or less professional in Italy, Germany or Spain. Granted, I haven't spent too much time in England but I haven't felt anything like that at all.

And that sums up what's wrong with EA and many other game companies today: the sales come always first. There are also companies like Rockstar who (at least seem to) care about their customers and players. They went around spending a lot of money for GTA V, for example, even though a lot of people were going to buy the game even if it was just a bit improved version of GTA IV. Money isn't everything in this world and if I was EA's big boss I'd listen to the fanbase and do my best to make them happy and enjoy the game. EA also added 20 stadiums last year which means that they have the required amount of money to do that. They just don't want to do it. There's a reason they were voted as America's worst company for two years in a row, I think.

Maybe if a Spaniard or a Turk could play with his favourite team in his favourite stadium he would also spend a bit more money on the game. I also would prefer to have amazing gameplay instead of some stadiums but I still think that the stadiums add authenticity, detail and more enjoinment into the mix. Even though I can barely notice I still prefer to play on Olympiastadion or Signal Iduna Park instead of a generic stadium. Also, do teams like Watford, Bournemouth or Burnley really have that many fans who play FIFA and spend a lot of money on FUT? I bet not. It would make much more sense to replace their stadiums with the stadiums of bigger teams from around Europe or the world.
