Thoughts: Pretty stunned/unhappy about the Krul transfer request, but I obliged and let him go on his way. And because of the Kraft FIFA glitch thing, it looks like he's just a six month rental. Whatever. Other than that, pretty happy with the way things stand. Went on the road and, despite the scoreless draw, controlled the tempo at Stamford Bridge in our first match without Krul. Happy with the pieces I have coming in on free transfers for next season and was able to offload two players that I intended to sell anyway. But losing Krul is still a dagger -- he was truly amazing for me to start the year and I should have been able to get almost double what I did for him if I didn't transfer list him.

@Cabee: Its amazing that you finished 10 points clear of the relegation zone considering where you were when you started playing. So major props there! Looking forward to next season already!

@Terp: Such a shame about the Krul situation and then to get hit with the Kraft glitch too straightaway isn't a nice thing. Slightly inconsistent month but when you correct that you should move up the table quickly.

Even worse than gone. It's still there but corrupted, so much so that any time I try to even load the career, FIFA crashes. And all this began after the damn console synced my data to the cloud. Even worse is I have the digital copy that you get off Xbox Live, so I can't even disconnect from Xbox Live and play offline to see if that helps. I have a co-worker who thinks it might be fixable, he's coming over today to look at it but I'm not optimistic. Same thing happened with my saves for Witcher 3, Shadows of Mordor and Titanfall (all digital copies). All my game data seems gone unless this dude can do something.

Jackson sent a cross into the box from the right wing and found Parker for a looping header back into the top right corner for the lead. Holla found Pack and he went forward on the counter and wove through the defense to fire it home on the near post. Stamatakis sent a cross in from the right wing and fond Jeffers for a header just over the keeper's reach to regain the lead. Holla played the ball to Smith on the right side and he worked his way towards the middle and fired a shot that hit off the keeper's hand and then rolled in. Pereira was taken down on the left side of the box and Holla stepped up to the spot and used a hesitation before powering the ball into the top left corner.

MOTM: Clayton

Clayton played the give and go with Feeney and got the ball back in the middle of the box and directed it to the bottom right corner. Pack played the ball to Russell on the right side of the goal and he hit a low cross to the back post for Hahn to tap in. Holla sent a cross in off of a free kick on the left side and Feeney stuck his foot out to clear it and it looped up into the air and fell back down into the goal for a late own goal. Odelusi sent in a cross from the right wing to Clayton who was clearly offside after seeing the replay, but the ref allowed the goal and Bolton walked away with a last minute equalizer.

Pack played the ball ahead to Jamieson to lead the counter and he laid it off to his right for Russell who gave it right back to Jamieson up the middle for the first time strike into the top right corner.

Portsmouth controlled the ball for the majority of the match and registered the better chances, but were unable to put the ball past Henderson in goal. Both teams walk away with a point from this eventless draw.

Francomb sent a corner in on the near post and Hahn was able to get his head to it and direct it into the net. Olufemi sent the ball ahead to Hahn down the right wing and he played a perfect cross over to the back post for Murphy to head home. Tubbs took the ball from the last defender and attacked the keeper before slotting it home into the bottom right corner.

Manager Comments

Capital One Cup - It was good to start off the cup with a win, but we could have been much better during the match. We need to tighten up the defense if we want a chance at making a deep run this season.

League Play - The step up in competition was definitely noticeable in this first month, but we were able to remain unbeaten. The two draws shouldn't be a problem this early in the season. If we can keep taking points form matches we should put ourselves in a great position.

Transfers - A lot of new faces this season, but I am very happy with how this window played out. I think we are a much stronger squad now, and this should help with the new challenges of the Championship. The new guys should get plenty of time early and hopefully it won't take them too long to adjust.

For those wondering why I haven't had a Betis update in a while: I had a close family member die on the 13th and I had to deal with all the funeral/burial stuff.
2nd reason is that: My best friend of 13 years is in the ICU due to a big car accident that me and him were both involved in, He was driving and he had a seizure and crashed the car into a massive tree. I recovered fine all I had was a Broken Finger, and a broken rib. He's been improving but can't move very much right now. Once my life straightens out a bit I will be getting a Betis update up for you guys

Some of my thoughts

First off, this TOTY! - I have no idea what is wrong with it. Soldado was the player of the year, which surprises me even more, but he isn't in it. Costa scored the most and he isn't in it. No clue how this was made but eh, that is FIFA for you.

What a season! - Honestly, the race was fantastic, and to edge it with one goal, scored by Mane in the last day of action, it just feels fantastic. Champions League football!

Have to add, I am excited - I haven't been this excited to play FIFA in a long time, this CM actually has pulled me in somehow, yet I did mess up because of this....

Lost the stats - Due to me advancing to the new season too quickly and without saving, I lost the stats for last season, so I can't really make a proper summary. Which means, I won't do it for this season, forgive me lads! However, the goal of the year will still stay, and you will get to see it!

What to wait for next season? - Obviously, we are going to have to make some improvements with us playing in Europe next season. Add to that, European football alone will make it interesting. And if we make good moves, hopefully, we can be even stronger next season!

Manager Thoughts:
So we managed to progress into the next round of the Europa League which we made hard work of in the end, but we are through and that is the main thing. We have drawn Tottenham in the Round of 32 which, looking at the teams we could have got, isn't the worst draw. The defeat to Inter Milan has been my heaviest defeat as Rosenborg manager and it wasn't helped by the referee who gave one of the worst penalty decisions I have ever seen bu that's football.

We are currently 3 points clear going into January which could have been better but then again could be much worse. The game against Molde is going to be crucial in deciding the league race once again and it isn't going to be an easy game as we have failed to beat them in the last 3 attempts. Helmersen is currently the leagues leading goal scorer on 11 and I am hoping he can reach the 24 goal mark he hit in my second season.

In terms of transfers in January I probably won't be bringing anyone in. Selnæs and Strandberg have both asked to leave so they will be sold should we get a good offer for them but I probably won't replace them, instead will recall players who have impressed out on loan to fill the space in the 25 man squad. However if someone does become avaliable then there are funds avaliable to spend.

So the guy from work fixed my Xbox but had to delete all my saves on all my games. The good news is I'm now back to a squad file where Will Buckley is OVR 71 with POT 75 rather than 69/71. So here's how I see it. I will either start over with Sunderland and try to make Buckley the attacking cornerstone of my team, or I will start as Brighton and buy him back in summer 2015 if we get promoted, or I will start as a third European club and take Will there in January 2015. You guys get to decide. If you vote for the third option, please leave a comment stating which club you'd like to see me at.

Russell broke free down the right wing and took the ball down to the end line and sent the ball low across the box for Hahn to first time off the right post and in. The keeper threw the ball straight to McCormack and he avoided a tackle and then calmly finished to the left post. Jamieson wove his way around the left side of the defense and fired a strong shot into the top left corner. Rodallega fed the ball to McCormack and then got it right back up the middle of the box and placed it into the top right corner. Jamieson pressured the defense and won the ball on the right wing and found Hahn free on a back post run for the easy tap in.

WAT - Forestieri 55'
MOTM: Holla

Watson found Forestieri on a perfect diagonal run to the left side of the goal and he calmly faced the keeper and the slotted the ball around him inside the near post for the deciding goal of the match.

Pereira played the ball to Pack outside of the box and he took a touch around the defense and fired a screamer from 3 yards outside of the box perfectly into the top right corner. Hahn split two defenders on the left wing and attacked into the box before finding Pack for a quick strike into the bottom right corner. May played an early cross from the left side of midfield and Helan was able to lunge and get his foot onto the ball and direct it inside the left post.

McGrandles held off a defender on his back and worked his way forward towards the right side of the goal while avoiding another defender and then calmly sliding the ball over to the middle of the box for Russell to tap it in for the winner.

A great series of passes moved the ball to Norwood on the right side of the goal and he fired across to the top left corner. Holla lined up a free kick and hit it off the top of the wall causing it to deflect up into the air where the defense made a poor clearance and it fell straight to Jamieson for the tap in. Jamieson fed the ball up the middle for Holla to hit first time into the left side of the goal. Williams played the ball to Agudelo directly in front of goal and he calmly placed it around the keeper on the near post. Hahn was dragged down from behind inside the box and Pack stepped up to convert the penalty to the left side of the goal.

Manager Comments

League Play - We suffered our first loss in league play so far, but we did manage to climb in the table up to 5th. Hopefully we can keep this form up and stay up in that top tier of the table. A chance to even get into the playoff for the Premier League would be a tremendous opportunity.

Capital One Cup - We are through to the round of 16 after a great win again Tottenham. McGrandles came on as a late sub and made all the difference with a great run into the box to set up Russell's goal. A good cup run here would be something special and we are hoping to bring that excitement to the supporters.

Youth Update - With only a goalkeeper sitting in our academy ranks right now, we have sent out our scout to Ireland to find some new talent that will hopefully be Portsmouth quality.

Manager's Thoughts:

Tippeligaen - We currently hold an 11 point lead over 2nd place Molde with 6 games to play. With victory over Molde in the next game I am confident that the league title will be returning to Rosenborg this season. Helmersen will be a big loss for the Molde game but Gulbrandsen stepped up with 2 goals in the last game so I'm sure he will have no problem filling the void for this game.

Europa League - We annihilated Tottenham in the Round of 32, it probably deserved to be 4 or 5. We then drew Sporting in the next round in a game which could have gone either way but in this case the victory went to Sporting. Both teams hit the post and bar countless times but Sporting managed to get the away goals they needed in the first leg which put them in the driving seat for the rest of the tie.

Individual Accolades - Helmersen has once again been on fire, taking his tally to 23 goals for the season with 6 games left to go. He is missing the game with Molde through injury but with 5 to play hopefully he can get closer to the 30 mark. Ødegaard has also had a fantastic season with 14 assists so far with 6 coming in the last 2 months. At the back Hoff has been outstanding with 16 clean sheets so far and it was no surprise that we rejected a bid of £15 million for the shot stopper in January.

Brighton seems to be leading by one. I honestly thought more people would vote for a new nkn-English side. I'll leave the poll up for another 24 hours and see how it pans out.
