    I don't think anyone's doing Brighton right now. Indi had a great Brighton CM but he's with Bristol City now.
    So u think people will like another Brighton CM?

      alright alright. I think you'd enjoy a team with a not so limited budget so Real Sporting de Gijón could be a good choice plus you'd have at least one fan in RSG1905

        I did win the league lol but in the following summer, I made some idiotic transfers and the team wasn't doing well at all. Things kinda came to an end after a 0-7 loss at home where I just didn't know what happened. Kinda made me sad too since I had a bunch of amazing youngsters. I tried a couple of other teams out, e.g. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, so I could get a feel of the game but the spark has gone missing for a while However, I will find the forum for FIFA 15 and by then, I should be rejuvenated. I'm calling Valencia for fifa 15 btw.

          Right now, I'm just doing a development CM. So basically put a bunch of great prospects on a team, and sim until they get really good. So, basically it's Depay mania. I'll be back to Torquay and Hamburg soon, but these players are fun to play with, also, my neck is almost healed so it'll be nice soon.

            Deja vu. This is exactly what we did in my first half season with the club: bounce back from a poor first half to finish in 9th place. If I had had a perfect May it would had been 8th place but the point is we finished on a high note and now the league is on notice that we're a club to keep an eye on next season. The board, myself, and my coaching staff will have to get together this summer to figure out how we can improve as a team next season when I will undoubtedly want to qualify for European competition, Champions League if possible.

            My starting strikers, Gabriel and Farago, both finished with 11 goals each in league play while in somewhat of a surprise the Japanese kid, Yamura, finished with the team lead in assists with 7. Paredes, who I would have expected to lead the team in assists, finished with 5. Maybe Yamura kicking corners had something to do with that but the kid also outscored Paredes 8 to 7. That brings one question: is Paredes a candidate to be sold this summer? He'd bring enough funds to shore up other positions. I've also considered bringing Farago up to CAM. Definitely something to think about. The board gave us just over $9 million in prize money for our performance in the league but I wonder if that money will roll over to next season because otherwise it seems pretty pointless no?

            On the youth academy front we have signed three of our top prospects as well as one of the kids who has been in the academy for a while. The recent additions from the youth squad to the senior team are:

            CF - Maximilian Knoll (68 OVR, Has Potential to Be Special): I thought this German kid would be a CAM but he comes in as a CF/ST which is REALLY interesting because he's rated similar to the guys who see playing time on the team. MORE COMPETITION.
            RB - In Sung Jo (67 OVR, An Exciting Prospect): The signing of the South Korean kid won't do anything to quiet the rumors about our starting RB, Fernando Navarro, wanting to leave. The kid is actually listed as a RB/LB but with a 2-star weak foot he'll probably stay on the right. His ratings are unreal for a 16-year old - 87/88 spd/acc, 98(!!!) reactions, +70 ratings in all mental attributes including 81 Att. Pos., 89 short pass, and 83 crossing.
            LW - Badile Salawu (72 OVR, An Exciting Prospect): Zeshin Yamura has set the bar high for best player out of our academy but many think this Nigerian will be able to reach that level of performance. Listed as a LW/CAM/LM but he's actually right-footed with 3-star weak foot.
            RM - Hiroya Tamazaki (64 OVR): This 18-year old kid from Japan spent a couple of years in our academy and deserved the call up. Listed as a RM/LM but with just a 2-stat weak foot he'll be staying on the right.

            I thought about bringing Morientes and Meirelles up as well but I feel like they can still use some more seasoning in the academy as they were signed earlier this season and I have a lot of players on the roster at the moment.

            That's it for this update, next update is a season recap with all the champions from Europe and a roster review. Looking forward to your comments!

              I will wait for the squad report to be completely sure, but I reckon if the board gives you a poor budget you'd be better off selling Paredes to get yourself a more well-rounded squad worthy of European qualification. Just my opinion tho. You are doing a great job with this career it's quite fantastic!

                    Great end to the season! Only 5 points away from 7th I'm sure next season you'll be able to climb up to European spots! Your academy looks awesome like usual. Salawu looks like a player that likes to cut in from the left and shoot. Amazing overall but you never know with these Nigerian kids. For all we know he could actually be in his 20s! Lol

                      Press Conference

                      Q: Rough results this month has seen you drop out of a playoff contention spot. Not many around the league are surprised to see you struggle. This is what many expected coming into this season. What will you do to ensure that you don't continue to drop further down the table?

                      A: It certainly was a tough month to get results for us. We haven't let it get us down though. Losing Abel Molinero has required us to have to adjust some and we are still sorting through that transition. I think that we will get better going forward and that we will be able to work our way back up the table.

                      Q: Many supporters have suggested that with the higher challenge, maybe your duties with Northern Ireland is taking attention away from Morecambe. The results have only increased those grumblings. What do you have to say about these suggestions?

                      A: Absolutely ridiculous. Morecambe receives nothing less than 100% of my attention. I know that I've won the league 2 years straight, but each year the competition gets stronger and that is more evident than ever now in the Championship. We are still a newly promoted team sitting in the top half of the table, many clubs would be envious of that. But we don't intent to stop there. As I said earlier, we will only get better.

                      Q: The young players have certainly struggled so far, has their performance perhaps convinced you that additions to the squad are necessary come January?

                      A: It is certainly a big stage for them to come into, but I wouldn't say they have been disappointing by any means. Could we be doing better? Of course, but I think they have been better than most would be when thrust into their situation. As for additions, I always keep the options open for the club, but I will evaluate all the way into January and determine which moves are the best to make for the club.

                            '17-'18 Season Review

                            My performance was reviewed by the board at the end of June 2018 and they were pleased with the club's performance both in La Liga as well as in Copa del Rey. We had some really good conversations about how to take this team to the next level. They have given me a $15.5 million transfer budget and $80K wage budget which is the best I've ever had at this club.

                            Here's the roster review:

                            Starters
                            GK - Alex Navas (64 OVR, SGP), 5/10: In retrospect it was too much to ask of the 18-year old from Venezuela to take over as our starting GK in La Liga. He was overwhelmed. Only 6 clean sheets in all competitions in 32 appearances just won't do it for us which is why Sven Ulreich is coming in on a pre-contract.
                            RB - Fernando Navarro (71 OVR), 6/10: The 29-year old Mexican had a below average season and I guess you can put his homesickness as a reason for the decline. He scored once for us and had two assists in 37 overall appearances this season. We are thankful for everything he has given this club over the last three seasons but at this point is pretty clear he will not be on the roster next season.
                            CB - Omar Gonzalez (76 OVR), 7/10: It's hard to give the American a higher grade considering that we gave up 50 goals in league play this season. Nevertheless, he played really well for the most part and contributed with 3 goals while playing in every game (42 apps) this season. Unfortunately news came from the USMNT earlier this month (the 2018 World Cup is currently happening) that he suffered a broken tibia and will be out for the next 4 months. Certainly a tough blow.
                            CB - Rafael Soares Martins (74 OVR), 7.5/10: The 22-year old Spaniard gets a lightly higher grade than Gonzalez due to receiving league honors (see below). Much like his counterpart he played in every season for us, provided solid defense, and scored twice near the end of the season.
                            LB - Adama Traore (73 OVR), 7/10: The 28-year old from Ivory Coast has been a constant in our back four for three seasons now and continues to be solid. He had 2 assists for us this season in 38 apps. However, it might be smart to start looking for his eventual replacement and I'm not sure whether Euller is the long-term answer there.
                            CDM - Michael Essien (68 OVR), 7/10: I must admit that the now retired Ghanian gave us all he had left this season. He was a leader on the field, played solid defense, and even scored a couple of goals for else. We wish him well in life after professional soccer.
                            RM - Zeshin Yamura (76 OVR, HPTBS), 8/10: It must be annoying to continue to read glowing remarks about this 18-year old kid from Japan but I don't know what else to tell you. He's PHENOMENAL. I actually never got to share a highlight of his from our most recent game against Valencia so I'm gonna leave that here for you.

                            <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/otvfKFNjfm4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

                            8 goals and 8 assists in 39 apps this season.

                            LM - Giorgio Barraco (73 OVR, SGP), 6.5/10: As you can tell from the grade I wasn't too pleased with his performance though I also wasn't terribly disappointed. The 17-year old Italian kid has high potential but doesn't seem to fit what I need right now and maybe I will loan him or sell him for the right price. 3 goals and 2 assists in 35 apps this season is just short of what I expect from his position. It doesn't help that he doesn't really have the stamina (55) to be a starter.
                            CAM - Leandro Paredes (86 OVR), 8/10: Playing in all but one game this season the 24-year old Argentinian continues to shine contributing 7 goals, 7 assists, and countless dimes. He also received league honors this season (see below). However, he has a $48 million value and I wonder if selling him to upgrade at several positions is the right move.
                            RS - Alessandro Farago (73 OVR, HPTBS), 8/10: This 5'7", 18-year old Italian has grown on me with his determined play on the pitch. Possessing a 5-star weak foot that allows him to play on either side in the front end of our 4-4-2 diamond, the kid had 11 goals this season in 38 apps and his place as a starter on the team is nearly unquestioned.
                            LS - Gabriel (70 OVR), 8/10: The recent signing from Brazil held his own end of the deal this season, scoring 13 goals in 36 apps. However, the 21-year old got a good chunk of those goals from penalty kicks and didn't impress me as much as I think he would. More importantly he only had +1 progress all season long and failed to separate from Alex Rubio ratings wise.

                            Subs
                            LM - Lucas Aguirre (70 OVR, HPTBS), 6/10: +2 progress all season means I continue to struggle to develop this 18-year old Peruvian despite getting him 25 apps. He was only able to contribute 1 assist. He was listed for loan all season but no offers came his away and he will be listed for loan once again next season.
                            CM - Bruno Carmona (66 OVR, AEP), 6/10: We tried to give the 18-year old Argentinian as many opportunities as possible to improve and become Essien's replacement but unfortunately he only saw +2 progress in 27 apps for us this season. Whether he'll continue to be a main sub or be listed for loan will depend on who we bring in to replace Essien.
                            CM - Franco Gomez (67 OVR, SGP), 6/10: The 18-year old Spaniard did a decent job in his 12 apps this season contributing 1 assist. He'll continue to be loan listed as he'll improve more if he's able to get starter minutes elsewhere.
                            ST - Manuel Adolfo (69 OVR, SGP), 6/10: I know it shouldn't because he's showing great potential and actually plays well when called upon but the fact that this 18-year old kid from Spain is only 5'5" turns me off, I just don't like my strikers being that short. He has a value over $1 million and with his potential I'll transfer list him and see what I can get for him. I'll admit that the recent arrival of Knoll from the youth squad also factors in this decision.
                            ST - Chuba Akpom (66 OVR), 6/10: The 22-year old Englishman played more than I realized (21 apps) but was only able to contribute 1 goal and 1 assist. Still, I really like what he brings to the table off the bench and I hope he'll continue to be ok with that role.
                            RB - Vladimir Rankovic (69 OVR), 6/10: The 25-year old German played for Navarro more than I anticipated this season (12 apps) due to the Mexican's stamina decreasing. He held up his end but didn't impress enough to earn the RB starting job which he'll now have to compete for with In Sung Jo.

                            The rest of my roster didn't play enough to earn a grade for this season. Here they are: Carlos Alberto (GK, 65 OVR, HPTBS), Simon Mustafi (GK, 60 OVR, AEP), In Sung Jo (RB, 68 OVR), Florian Nickenig (CB, 59 OVR), Craig Agyakwa (CB, 56 OVR), Euller (LB, 65 OVR, Kevin Vrancic (LB, 57 OVR), Martin Pardo (CDM, 61 OVR), Patrick Sobiech (CDM, 60 OVR, SGP), Marco Bungert (CDM, 48 OVR), Dani Barrera (CM, 66 OVR, HPTBS), Jose Romero (CM, 66 OVR), Jose Vidal (CM, 65 OVR, AEP), Francisco Catarino (RM, 56 OVR), Martin Costa (CAM, 67 OVR), Fabian Lopez (CAM, 60 OVR), Jose Miguel (CAM, 72 OVR, SGP), Badile Salawu (LW, 72 OVR), Alex Rubio (ST, 71 OVR), Maximilian Knoll (CF, 68 OVR), Hiroya Imada (ST, 59 OVR).

                            End of the season of course also means it's time for awards so here you go:

                            GK of the season (La Liga): Manuel Neuer, Real Madrid (15 CS)
                            Golden Boot: Ibai Gomez, Athletic Bilbao (19 goals)

                                May 2017 - Season 4

                                Stoke City 0 - 3 AFC Wimbledon
                                WIM: Gornell 33' Hanson 79' 90'
                                Wimbledon continue their improved form by humiliating the hosts. The Gornell-Hanson duo continues to impress as well.

                                AFC Wimbledon 2 - 1 Sunderland
                                SUN: Bridcutt 9'
                                WIM: Hanson 89' 90'
                                Impressive! Wimbledon now have a 10-game unbeaten streak! It looked like Sunderland were going to end the streak at 9 when the Scotland international Liam Bridcutt put them ahead, but AFC Wimbledon came from behind and turned the tables in the final minutes of the match. Wimbledon were actually playing one of their worst matches here but they picked it up in the final minutes and obtained the 3 points.

                                Fulham 1 - 2 AFC Wimbledon
                                WIM: Clayton 14' James 90'
                                FUL: McClean 52'
                                Again Wimbledon went ahead in the final minutes of the match, this time against Fulham. Chavez noticed that Fulham's 4-4-2 formation was frequently outnumbering his back line of 3, so after the first goal Chavez changed his 3-5-2 to a 5-3-2 formation to stop Fulham's advances. It worked, and Wimbledon were definitely less vulnerable in defense after that.

                                FA Cup Final: Arsenal vs. AFC Wimbledon

                                AFC Wimbledon 1 - 3 Southampton
                                SOU: Lallana 15' Sinclair 36' Schneiderlin 74'
                                WIM: Harvey 90'
                                The 12-game unbeaten run comes to an end as the Wimbledon B team fell to Southampton. The crowd clapped at the end of the match regardless, still celebrating the FA Cup championship of course.

                                AFC Wimbledon 2 - 2 Tottenham
                                TOT: Paulinho 41' Ibarbo 67'
                                WIM: Gornell 72' Hanson 81'
                                A lot of nervousness from Wimbledon going into this match as they remembered the beat down they received from Tottenham on opening day. Chavez changed from his 3-5-2 formation to a 4-2-2-2 at halftime since Tottenham's 4-4-2 was tearing his defense apart. Wimbledon concludes their first Premier League season with a hard fought draw.

                                ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                                Well, another season gone here at Kingsmeadow. Wimbledon finished the season strong and stayed right in the middle of the league table. The club received 8 million USD as a result, which is said to be used to upgrade the youth academy.
                                AFC Wimbledon was founded by fans against the FA who took away their local club Wimbledon FC in 2002 to create MK Dons, and 15 years later they have their revenge. The club has reached the Premier League, leaving behind MK Dons in League 1, and have now claimed the FA Cup. Wimbledon will now enter their 3rd ever and consecutive Europa League, only this time as champions.
                                Scott Moore (61), Christophe Brown (64), Craig May (64), and Richard Odhlambo (69) have been promoted from the youth academy. This generation looks fantastic, making fans anxious to see them next season. One of the players from the youth academy, who's name was not released to the press, demanded to be called up to the senior squad and was therefore released by AFC Wimbledon. I contacted my source at the club who informed me that, and I quote: "Chavez don't take that crap." The young player will now have to look for a career elsewhere.
                                Stay tuned for tomorrow, we will be uploading a player by player squad report!
                                Thanks for reading!
