I have been thinking and I really want to but Angel Di Maria on a career mode and would like to play him in a CAM role but I do not know what team to start with, I need a team with enough money obviously... can anyone recommend what team I should use?

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Olympique de Marseille, August 2013
EA Guingamp 0-3 Marseille
This was one of the best games I've ever played on this year's FIFA, mostly because all three goals were phenomenal. Gignac opened the scoring in the seventh minute, hitting a long range shot from outside the box and into the far corner. We held that lead until the second half, when Thauvin dribbled past three men and made it 2-0. Late into the game, N'Koulou made it three with a thumping header off a corner.
Marseille 0-1 Evian
Things weren't as pretty in our first home fixture of the competitive calendar. A lucky deflection midway through the first half gave Marco Ruben and Evian the only goal of the game. The rest of the 90 minutes was spent fumbling about and doing very little.
Valenciennes 0-5 Marseille
We continued our away form with a demolition of Valenciennes, Gignac picking up a hat-trick for his efforts with two deft pieces of footwork and a well-timed chip. N'Koulou and Mendes headers via corners rounded off a powerful scoreline.
Toulouse 1-3 Marseille
After conceding the first to Wissam Ben Yedder's magical dribbling and finishing, a Gignac equaliser set us on our way to hopes of victory. Goals from Thuavin and Valbuena gave us that win and three crucial points to keep our 100% away record in shape.
Marseille 3-2 AS Monaco
Despite being 3-0 up as late as the hour mark thanks to goals from Gignac, Thauvin and Mendes, silly passing in our own half allowed James Rodriguez and Jeremy Toulalan to snag two just before injury time set in. A nervy finish gave us our first home win.
**********
Needless to say, Gignac has been amazing. Six goals in five games means he's top of the scoring charts alongside Marseille striker Jordan Ayew, who has as many goals in as many games on loan at Sochaux. Valbuena has already picked up four assists, making him the vital playmaker of the side. January targets will be a box-to-box midfielder who can score as well as he can defend, and a striker to replace the below-par Khalifa.Comment

Season 1, Episode 14: Battling the Blues

EDIT: Also, I know indiblue had wondered about my tactics for the custom formation of the 4-3-2-1, and I basically implemented what you had suggested for this formation with an increase in the passing in chance creation because I found that the players had not been making as many runs as I would have liked. Of note with the formation, the jury is still out on it as I'm not sure what I think. Defensively, it has been solid, a few big mistakes and penalties on my part that don't really reflect on the formation and with Bradley in that CDM role he is an absolute monster. That said, I feel like the players are very free flowing up top (which is nice), but it does lead to me not always having my scorers in the most ideal positions to create chances for them. I will definitely have to do some tinkering. I also made another custom formation that is a slight variation from my 4-2-3-1 that I had been using earlier in the year and it also features custom tactics, which I will post when I get the chance to hear you guys' thoughts about that one as well.
Build-up play:
Speed 50
Passing 45
Positioning: Free form
Chance creation:
Passing 70
Crossing 50
Shooting 70
Positioning: Free form
Defence:
Pressure 50
Aggression 50
Team width 60

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Doing a career as Borussia Dortumund of the Bundesliga right now, as they are my favorite team. Eventually I'm going to attempt to win a title in the four main leagues (Bundesliga, BPL, Ligue 1, Serie A).
I kept the first transfer window open and Bayern ended up buying Lewandowski from me for $65,000,000 (imagine that...). He was leaving after the season regardless so at least I got some good money for him. I used that money to buy Benteke and Jackson Martinez, two strikers that can help fill the hole left by Lewan. I also bought Batshuayi as a backup striker/future first team striker. I also bought the LB Fabian Scharr and LB Jetro Willems, which provide depth for my defense. I'm trying to keep it realistic and only buy players that are in or near Germany, (Belgium, Netherlands, etc.) or that have been linked to Dortmund in real life.
As far as major moves that other teams made in the opening window, there was just one. Aguero was bought by Real Madrid.
So far I'm sitting in 4th place, just one point behind the top three teams. Bayern is actually behind me by a point in 5th place. FC Augsburg is dead last, the only team without a win.
Reus was out of action for 3 weeks with a ankle injury. He came back for a game and then re-injured his ankle and now is out 4 weeks. My other players have really stepped up though and I'm impressed. Aubameyang, Martinez and Benteke have been unstoppable.
I'll do another update after a good amount of games. I play each and every game (Legendary, sliders from this forum) so it takes a while to get a bunch of games done.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Was wondering if anyone could help me
Currently I am struggling to get into a career mode. I tend to play a season and then lose interest. I have played with mainly English teams in league 1 and the championship. If anyone has any good suggestions for a good team in any league but preferably in Europe with a decent budget and some good young players that would be much appreciated.Comment

Set up a youth academy to keep you going. Maybe look for a team with a 3rd kit and/or historic kit so you don't get tired of seeing the same thing game after game.Comment

How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Starting a career with Hamburg SV. So far the only position I might try to strengthen is Striker unless Lassogo convinces during his loan at the club. Rudnevs might be transfer listed when he returns from loan. He didn't work out for me as a starter in FIFA 13 so I doubt he will this time either. Van der Vaart might be traded for a top striker as he is one of the older guys but not sure since he's also a huge key player for this squad. I was thinking about benching Jiracek and getting someone for RM but don't think it'll be necessary with the custom tactics this squad has. Looks like when attacking, the LM cuts in, CAM pushes up, and the RM drops to the center field making it a 4-3-3 when attacking and a 4-4-1-1 when defending. This team has too much history to be relegated!Comment

Definitely get Reus, Mangala, Garay and Coentrao they are beasts
Modric is one of my favorite players IRL and in game and Milos Antic is a great young player that feels like Yaya Toure when he hits his potential of 83
Also buy Pogba he is absolutely insane in FIFA this year and IRL his long shots are amazing
