I was missing most of my Back line due to injuries Luke Shaw was out for a month, Mustafi got a training injury the day before the game, De Sciglio was out with a concussion the only 1st team defender still in the lineup was Aymeric Laporte. My 2nd team Defense played terribly and so did Malaga's

        Portsmouth FC
        FIFA 15 - Season 3

        Pompey's March to the Top

        March 2017

        Portsmouth FC 2 - 1 Burnley FC
        POR - Pereira 67', Francomb 80'
        BUR - Mendez 15'
        MOTM: Russell

Vokes whipped a cross into the box from the right side and Mendez stuck his head out and directed it into the back of the net for an early lead. Pack played the ball head for Pereira on the right side of the box and he used a fake to cut the ball back towards the middle and fire a low shot into the bottom left corner. Francomb dribbled through three defenders into the box and fired a shot back across his body into the top left corner for the winning goal.

        Portsmouth FC 1 - 1 Leeds United
        POR - Russell 24'
        LEE - Aristogrieta 18'
        MOTM: Cropper

Bianchi sent a cross in form the left side of the box and picked out Aristogrieta unmarked in the middle for the easy header past the keeper. Francomb dribbled across the edge of the box and played the ball to Russell running in on the right side of the goal and he powered a shot over the keeper's head into the net for an equalizer.

        F.A. Cup Quarter Final
        Southampton FC 3 - 2 Portsmouth FC
        SOU - Modeste 14', 49', Osvaldo 69'
        POR - Butler 4', Holla 21'
        MOTM: Holla

Butler won the ball in the attacking third and pushed it into the box to hit the ball across his body inside the far post. Wanyama played it to Modeste on the left side of the goal and he slotted it through the keeper's legs to tie the match. Holla stood over a free kick and curled it over the wall and into the top right corner. Isgrove found Modeste free in the middle of the box and he placed the ball into the bottom right corner. Schneiderlin found Osvaldo in the middle of the box and he made a quick turn to fire the ball past the keeper into the bottom right corner to put Southampton through to the semi-final.

        Watford FC 3 - 3 Portsmouth FC
        WAT - Forestieri 15', 25', Abdi 76'
        POR - Jamieson IV 20', 90', Pack 23'
        MOTM: Jamieson IV

Noble-Lazarus turned his defender and whipped a cross in for Forestieri running unmarked through the middle to tap in. Holla played the ball to Jamieson down the right side of the box and he stopped the ball to lose his defender and the fired across to the bottom left corner. Abdi threaded the ball through the middle and found Forestieri once again running free for the first time finish into the bottom left. Abdi got the ball moving across the edge of the box and he fired a shot that went off the keeper and in. Jamieson cut the ball in from the right wing and worked towards the middle before hitting it back across to the right side of the keeper for the equalizer.

        Sheffield Wednesday 0 - 1 Portsmouth FC
        POR - Pack 4' (PEN)
        MOTM: Francomb

Lees ran straight through Drennan in the box and after the referee awarded the penalty, Pack stepped up to the spot and blasted a shot just past the keeper's hand into the top left corner.

        Wolverhampton Wanderers 1 - 1 Portsmouth FC
        WOL - Maguire 82' (OG)
        POR - Pereira 76'
        MOTM: Pereira

Pereira attacked with the ball down the right wing and cut the ball inside towards the middle of the box before using his left foot to slot the ball under the keeper's reach on the near post. Evans hit the crossbar with a powerful header and the ball fell to Maguire's feet but his touch was too heavy and it bounced back into his own net for the equalizing own goal.

        Manager Comments

League Play - We opened the month with back-to-back games against the two teams immediately above us in the standings. We took down Burnley, but could only manage a draw against Leeds. A win and two more draws left us unbeaten, but overall dropping way too many points. We are still in 5th place, but we are in no means safe from dropping out. The month of April will ultimately decide where we end up, with only 1 match remaining in May. At this point our only goal is to get a playoff spot and then try to earn promotion through that.

F.A. Cup - A 2-1 lead turned into a 3-2 loss and it is made even worse that it was from our bitter rivals Southampton. We rarely face them these days, but there is certainly no love lost amongst the supporters. The fact that our fans refer to them merely as "scum" rather that Southampton says all you need to know. We let the fans down, and the next chance we get against Southampton in any competition, I promise them that they won't be disappointed again.

Youth Academy - We have a new addition to the academy from Ireland. Shane Creevy was spotted and we brought him in hoping that he can turn into a solid player for us in the future. We need to work on nailing down a position for him since he has played all over the midfield in these youth stages, but we expect that to be sorted out soon enough once we see him in training.

Simp, you'll be happy about this. Over 900 new chants from around the world and the Bundesliga has got the presentation pack the PL did last year!

Gotta love these new changes. Granted, career mode may still not be up to par with our expectations, but they are definitely going in the right direction. Looking forward to messing around with the player training feature. It will be a good tool for those players that are completely imbalanced like youth graduates but I think it will also come in handy when you have a veteran player decreasing in stats. Like you can either have him train on the areas he's decreasing due to age, or since his speed and agility is decreasing just have him focus on growing his strength and vision like most veteran players. I'm blown away by the preseason changes. As a person that involves the reserves as much as possible this is amazing for me. Finally we can make as many substitutions as we want, but I wonder if for preseason matches we'll be able to take the full squad. That way you can have two completely different sets of players play each half. And the preseason tournaments are a great touch. Some of us would pretend that our preseason was a tournament when we would post about it and we won't have to do that anymore! I imagine that if I'm using a European club or managing an international side I most likely won't be participating in the preseason tournaments after the first couple seasons since it could interfere with international competitions or simply because I'll already have tons of matches on my calendar, but for when I'm playing with Guadalajara I'll surely play those tournaments every preseason. It would be a great opportunity to see how the team shapes up against the top European sides since there isn't any other tournaments in the game where I could face them (like the FIFA Club World Cup for example). I'm still hoping to see if they make any additions to the Liga MX like a domestic cup and if they bring back the Brazilian league for a better Copa LatAm but so far I'm sold. (PES who?)

            RB Leipzig 2016/17 Season

            April - May 2017
            Apr-May 2017.png

I was gutted to go out of the cup especially in a penalty shoot out, it hurt. We dominated the majority of the game but lapses in concentration ultimately cost us and is something that we need to work on, especially towards the end of games.
The last remaining fixtures of the season didn't really mean anything to us, we were unable to really move up or down so it was about just trying to get as many points on the board as we could and just move onto next season.
It was good to see Timo Werner return from his broken ankle in good form scoring twice on his return and we have been working on using him as a striker which will be his new role for next season.
With 1 defeat in our last 6 games of the season we finished in good form which was pleasing and is something I hope to carry on into the start of next season.

            Bundesliga Table
            League Table.png

So we managed to finish 9th place which is 1 place worse of than last season even though we finished 5 points better off this season. This just shows the level of competition is getting tougher and tougher and looking at the teams who were promoted it will be even harder next year. Bayern Munich won the league again, 25 points clear of second place, showing that they are once again the team to beat. We achieved the goals set by the board at the start of the season but not my personal aim of brining europa league football to the Red Ball Arena, however, I think that we are only 1 or 2 players missing from making a genuine challenge next season.

            Top Scorers
Top Goalscorer - Muller - FC Bayern - 18 goals
Leading Assists - Hajrovic - RB Leipzig - 9 assists
Golden Glove - Neuer - FC Bayern - 20 clean sheets

            Who Won What
            Bundesliga - FC Bayern
            Deustcher Pokal - Bayer 04
            Champions League - Manchester City
            Europa League - VfL Wolfsburg

            Ups and Downs
Promoted - Werder Bremen, Hannover 96
            Relegated - FC K'lautern, F.Dusseldorf

            Promotion Playoff
            Bor.M'gladbch 4 Vs 0 FC Nuremberg
            FC Nuremberg 1 Vs 1 Bor.M'gladbach

RB Leipzig Player of the Season
            Izet Hajrovic.png
            Izet Hajrovic - 6 goals & 9 assists
Hajrovic has probably been my buy of the season and costings us only £2,600,000 which is proven to be a steal. He showed real quality leading the league with assists as well as chipping in with a couple of goals as well. He has thrived in a more central role, giving him more freedom to cut inside and either go for goal himself or play in the strikers.

RB Leipzig Young Player of the Season
            Kasper Dolberg.png
            Kasper Dolberg - 4 goals & 3 assists
The 19 year old Danish youngester got more action than was expected this season and starred when he had the chance to showcase his talents this season. I am expecting big things from this boy after arriving for a big sum of money for a player of his age and so far he has delivered. It is now up to him to show that consistently and push himself for the first team for next season.

            Final Thoughts
The League - Overall the season can be deemed as a success, I was hoping for European football but realistically I feel that we were still 2 quality signings away from making that happen. I think the sale of Sabitzer hurt us the most and although we addressed the issue in January the damage was done beforehand with the lack of threat upfront. We did manage to better our points tally compared to that of last year which is pleasing, but the league got tougher as well and I am expecting the same next season.
Transfers - We have a couple of targets for next season but it will all depend on what sort of finances are available. Should we have the funds my main target will be Johannes Geis of Schalke to add that quality to our midfield and Kevin Volland of Hoffenheim, who I was looking to form a partnership with Timo Werner up front for next season. Nobody is up for sale at the moment but should any substantial offers come in for our players, we will consider it. Experienced duo Felipe Melo and Jaroslav Plasil will not have their contracts renewed for next season however, me and my staff would like to thank them for their contribution this season.
Next Season Aims - For me should we get the missing pieces to the puzzle in, Europe will be the aim. We will be looking to build on our first two seasons in the top division to move into that top 6 position and I think our acquisitions in January showed our intent to do that. We will again be taking the cup very serious and hopefully with the luck of the draw we can progress further than the semi final next season.

Thanks for Reading and any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

                Pre Season Fixtures
                Pre Season.png

We had a good pre season which saw us win all 3 games but the results were irrelevant, it was all about how we performed but the results were an added bonus. I wouldn't say that there were any stand out performers during pre season although players like Draxler, Hajrovic and Rupp did but that was to be expected. I was more interested in looking at how our younger talent would perform and from this was able to make a decision on where they would be best suited, staying here or a year on loan somewhere. The Liverpool game was vital to our pre season, helping us to prepare against the better sides and with our opening 4 fixtures Bayern, Schalke, Wolfsburg and Levurkusen this was even more important.

                August 2017
                August 2017.png

What a way to start the season. 3 wins from 4 including a victory against the champions on their own patch, it was just what we needed. I was worried going into the Bayern game as we were unable to sign anyone before as we were still negotiating the prices of players but the lads out on that field gave everything for this club and deserved the win. We went into these first 4 games with a game plan to just try to irritate the opposition, trying to tire them by keeping the ball and taking our chance when it came and it worked. We averaged a total of just over 60% possession in those 4 games and will be something we look to utilise throughout the season. We have some very talented, technically gifted footballers in our side and that is why I feel that we were able to play this possession game so well. 2 clean sheets from our first 4 games was also pleasing and is something we will hopefully continue to improve on as it has been one of our weak points since I took charge of this club but I am confident that we have finally sorted the problem out.

                Ins & Outs
                In

                Johannes Geis.png
Johannes Geis - £9,500,000 from FC Schalke 04
After weeks of negotiating we finally got our man. We were aware that we needed to bring in quality to our midfield and who better than Johannes Geis. The talented German midfielder has made a terrific start to his career at Leipzig with a man of the match display against his former club as well as avergaing a pass success rate of 92% in 3 games.

                Loris Karius.png
Loris Karius - £0+Trumbic from FSV Mainz 05
After Karius handed in a transfer request at his former club Mainz we quickly stepped into to try and conclude a deal that suited everyone. We offered academy graduate keeper Dario Trumbic in a straight swap and Mainz accpeted the deal which suited everyone. Karius impressed on his debut against Levurkusen where he kept a clean sheet, commanded the area well and done well when called upon. After a couple of high profile errors by Scuffet last season, I felt that I needed to bring in another keeper and this deal worked out perfectly.

                Krystian Bielik.png
Krystian Bielik - £750,000 from Arsenal
We have been tracking Krystian for a while and with our shortage of midfielder's this season it seemed like the perfect oppurtunity. For a small fee of £750,000 it was a no brainer and will prove to be a bargain for the club. Although yet to make his debut, I expect the young midfielder to get several oppurtunities this season as we are lacking in that area and an injury to Ring already it could be sooner rather than later

                Outs
                W.Orban - CB - £2,500,000 to Hertha BSC
                R.Khedira - CDM - £2,000,000 to Schalke 04
                D.Trumbic - GK - £0 - FSV Mainz 05
                F.Maric - CAM - Loan to Barcelona
J.Hou Saeter - CM - Loan to Shrewsbury
M.Al Dossadi - CAM - Loan to Leeds
                B.Nazario - CAM - Loan to Heidenheim
M.Odegaard - CAM - Loan to Fortuna Dusseldorf

I decided to loan out a lot of the younger players as I felt that they were probably not going to get the amount of games that they needed or would be happy with, so it was in their best interests to go out on loan. We turnt down several big offers from Levurkusen and Dortmund for our front 2 of Drmic & Seferovic and we have been known to be a selling club in recent seasons but that is stopping now. We are determined to hold onto our best players in order to reach our goal of European football and with the crop of players we have at the moment, we have great chance of achieving that goal.

How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

I've stopped playing my Osasuna career but I wanted to at least share these two goals that would have been in my next update.

                  FC Basel 1 - 3 CA Osasuna
                  FCB: Gonzalez 5'
OSA: Guillermo 38' (Davila) Guillermo 42' (Romeu) Guillermo 90' (Gavan)
This was Guillermo's first goal of three that evening in the Champions League group stage and I thought the way it was scored was awesome. It really showed Guillermo's capabilities as he sprinted past Basel's tight defensive line. One of their defenders tried to go shoulder to shoulder with him, and Guillermo knocked him flat on his back as you can see. Right after he beat him in the physical battle he had more than enough room to take his shot and even though it went straight at the keeper it had too much power behind it and managed to make it into the net. Basel was a really difficult opponent and their defense had been playing an outstanding match, but they lost focus after this goal and Guillermo destroyed them.

                  CA Osasuna 1 - 1 Liverpool
                  OSA: Mignolet OG 78'
                  LIV: Sturridge PEN 87'
Another champions league fixture and this one was important because it was against Jamie's beloved Liverpool. This match made it clear that we were both the strong favorites to advance to the knockout stage as it was a really tight and balanced match. Honestly I don't even know what happened in that goal but the game listed it as an own goal by Mignolet which was weird because I didn't know they could do that. Every time I've thought the goalkeeper scored an own goal they've given it to the person that touched the ball before the keeper. I thought we could hold the lead until the end but Liverpool were given a penalty near the end of the match and Sturridge converted it. Despite the goal, our goalkeeper Rodriguez was still named MOTM with 8 saves.

I didn't finish the month, but these were our results from the matches I was able to play:

                  FC Basel 1 - 3 CA Osasuna

                  CA Osasuna 3 - 0 Malaga CF

                  Mexico 1 - 1 Chile

                  Bolivia 0 - 2 Mexico

                  Sporting Gijon 0 - 1 CA Osasuna (B-Team)

                  CA Osasuna 1 - 1 Liverpool

                      Swansea Season 1

                      November-December Update

Sorry that this update is out so late but I have been away for about a week.

                      November

                      Everton 1 - Barkley 82', McCarthy RED (2 yellows)
                      Swansea 1 - Eder 34'

                      Swansea 2 - Eder 56', Routledge 82'
                      Arsenal 7 - Sanchez 5', Wilshere 16', Walcott 31', Giroud 39', 45', Ozil 33', 77'

                      Manchester City 4 - Aguero 6', 13', Sterling 44', Toure 50'
                      Swansea 2 - Sigurdsson 32', Emnes 72'

I am offered the Belgium International job but turn it doen because I feel it is too early in my career.

                      Swansea 3 - Emnes 3', 7', 12'
                      Crystal Palace 4 - Chamakh 37', Cabaye 58', 63', Boasie 76'

November was not a good month for the team. We did not win game at all and lost 3 of the 4 we played. The Palace game was especially difficult to take because we were 3-0 up in the first 12 minutes but still lost. There is still a lot of learning to be done in this job, with regards to the team, how best to play and who best to play. Hopefully December will see us perform much better.

                      December

                      Capital One Cup Quarter Finals

                      Aston Villa 2 - Carles Gil 12', 58'
                      Swansea 3 - Cork 18', Barrow 24', Michu 36' (PEN)

Barrow is proving to be a great young right winger. He has nit played every game, but when he is used, he shows amazing pace a determination. At 22, he wil definately be a key player for our future.

                      Possible Transfer Sales

Tiendalli - 29 - RB - 70 OVR: He has only made 1 appearance this season and is unlikely to make many more due to the number of RB's there are at the club (4).

Britton - 32 - CM - 74 OVR - When he has played, he has not been able to contribiute to goals or assists this season. He still has some trabsfer value so we may cut our losses and try to bring in a replacement who can do the job.

                      Premier League

                      West Ham 2 - Carroll 31', Valencia 37'
                      Swansea 3 - Gomis 29', Shelvey 33', Ayew 70'

Swansea 1 - Emnes 82', Andre Ayew suffers a broken ankle and is out of action for 3 months
                      Tottenham - Soldado 45'

                      Norwich City 1 - Jerome 89'
                      Swansea 4 - Michu 5', Cork 11', Routledge 23', 56'

As a result of the 4-1 win over Norwich, Taylor LB, Routledge LM, Cork CDM and Emnes ST are included in the team of the week.

                      Swansea 2 - Yueng 41', Montero 70' (BEAST OF A GOAL)
                      Watford 1 - Vydra 66'

                      Swansea 1 - Yueng 61' (PEN)
                      Aston Villa 1 - Kozak 19'

                      Liverpool 1 - Lambert 11'
                      Swansea 1 - 52'

                      Premier League Standings
                      1 Manchester United 48 PTS
                      2 Spurs 46 PTS
                      3 Chelsea 43 PTS
                      4 Arsenal 40 PTS
                      5 Liverpool 35 PTS
                      10 Swansea City 29 PTS

December was a much more successful month for Swansea. We got through to the semi-finals of the cup and avoided a single loss all month, which an amazing achievement for us.

                      Stand out players so far:
Emnes with 8 goals and 1 assist
Eder with 8 goals and 3 assists
                      Montero with 5 goals
Yueng with 4 goals and 3 assists
Dyer with 1 goals and 4 assists

So far it is our attackers that have got us through the first few months of the season. Our defence or goalkeeping on the other hand hasnt been amazing. we have conceded 38 goals in 20 games, the second highest in the league. Williams CB has been criticised in the media for his performances but I feel the blame should be shared, as everyone conbtrobutes to the conceding of a goal. Whether this means that a defencive change should br the focus of the january trabsfer window, I am not sure. I will have to look at my defence and see if I can strengthen i in any way with the funds that I have. I dont thnk getting rid of Williams would be the best solution, as he is our strongest and best defender, not to mention our club captain.

I will see what happens and update if any major transfer decisions are made.

                      Thank you for reading

Oh yes, because everyone else has also gotten lots and lots of comments on their posts/updates in the last week or two. Like many, many comments. Dozens of comments.

If you meant that all of the comments are about the almost twenty-goal game, then I'm sorry.

Simp, you'll be happy about this. Over 900 new chants from around the world and the Bundesliga has got the presentation pack the PL did last year!
The amount of chants sounds amazing! Hopefully they didn't focus mainly on England, though. They also apparently added player-specific chants. It would be great if Arsenal fans sang their Santi Cazorla and Giroud songs, if BVB fans chanted that "Götze is a whore's son" and if many other teams had their "team anthems". 900 is a big amount of chants so I'm looking forward to hearing at least some of them.

Finally they confirmed the Bundesliga presentation pack! It will add just that tiny bit of realism into the career! Unfortunately it seems like the BuLi didn't get all of it's stadiums and lots of face scans but at least they got the real presentations. I'm still happy about what they have done and unless EA manage to ruin the game somehow FIFA 16 will be a very good experience.

Also, speaking of FIFA 16 career mode and the Bundesliga, first I'm going to do a season with Real Madrid just for the sake of using them and to get used to the new features. After that I'll take Hertha to the top of Europe in my annual Hertha career.

I'll try to comment on everyone's careers in the following couple of days!

                          Bologna S01 • July/August

                          Introduction

I know it was supposed to be Werder Bremen, but I got so excited about all the possibilities of a Bologna FC career that I forgot all about the poll. And seeing so many people posting updates about teams from second divisions made me want to do one as well. I can't recall ever leading a team to any sort of promotion since I started playing with FIFA 12, so it's going to be a new experience for me. Bologna have some really good kits and a strong lineup for Serie B, but very few of them look like genuine contenders for a long-term spot, so I have a good chance to really build a team.

                          Briefing

Bologna FC is happy to announce that Severo Bombo will take over as head coach from July 1, 2014. He joins us with great ambition and a desire to restore this historic club to the heights it once knew and enjoyed.

'It feels wonderful to be in charge of such a great club. I'm very happy to join the Bologna family so we can all work together to get this club back to the prestigious level where it belongs. I promise to give everything I have.'

Wage balance as of 01 SEP: €80,000

                          Results

                          Preseason: W2-1 vs. Randers (H)
                          BOL: 73' Troianiello, 83' Cataldi
                          RFC: 67' Fall

The first half was goalless, and everything went out the window in the 67th minute. Baye Djiby Fall pulled off a composed finish to put Randers ahead, but Karim Laribi found Gennaro Troianiello who scored through the keeper's legs, cool as you like. Viktor Lundberg lost his temper and was sent off in the 77th minute. The gap let Daniele Cacia find space to let off a shot, and the saved rebound fell to Danilo Cataldi, who volleyed into an empty net.

                          Preseason: D0-0 vs. Rotherham (A)

There's not much to say about this match. It was a fairly tight game with no space in midfield. Two of the Rotherham players were booked early on for rough tackles, but we couldn't make the most of their hyperactive play.

                          Preseason: W5-0 vs. Bełchatów (H)
                          BOL: 12' 80' Cacia, 19' Troianiello, 39'Laribi, 65' Oikonomou

Daniele Cacia won and scored a penalty in the 12th minute. Less than 10 minutes later, Gennaro Troianiello played a one-two with Karim Laribi and made it 2-0. Matuzalem split their defence with a killer pass and Laribi made it 3-0 before halftime. In the second half, they defended better. It wasn't until the 65th minute that Marios Oikonomou met Gianluca Sansone's corner kick, and 15 minutes later it was Cacia's turn to head in his second from a Sansone free kick. What a win to take into our first competitive match!

TIM Cup: W2-0 vs. Avellino (H)
                          BOL: 51' Troianiello, 81' Cacia

A debut for Federico Bernardeschi lets him showcase his talent and win the Man of the Match award. Moussa Kone is shown a straight red in the 32nd minute for a lunge on Bernardeschi, who takes the free kick and misses by a whisker. After the break, Daniele Cacia finds Gennaro Troianiello running into space and the on-loan forward sidefoots the ball in. Thirty minutes later, substitute Riccardo Improta wins the ball high up the pitch before teein up Cacia to seal the win. We now face Hellas Verona in the next round.

                          Serie B: L2-1 vs. Varese (H)
                          BOL: 30' Cacia
VAR: 12' Da Costa, 77' Forte

The league season starts poorly with a loss at home. Angelo da Costa spills the ball while trying to make a save, resulting in an own goal in the 12th minute. We equalise through Daniele Cacia's penalty after he's fouled in the box and take the score into halftime at 1-1. It looks like we might split the points until Luca Forte gets the ball late on. Unmarked, he runs past two of our defenders who just watch him send a shot past the goalkeeper. We'll need to improve quickly if we want to get promoted as the board demands.

                          Report

                          Daniele Gastaldello:
I had no intention of selling Gastaldello because I had no idea how much he was worth. When I got an offer from Palermo a day before playing Varese, the €3.6 million was too much to turn down. I could have got more, but I didn't want to get greedy and risk the deal. Mario Oikonomou is his replacement since I presume his €2.7 million transfer fee indicates potential. Kaan Ayhan joined on loan to complement Uroš Radaković as our backup.

Douglas: He was on the transfer list, and a quick scouting report showed us his real ability. For less than a million euros, he was an absolute steal. Maybe he'll never be good enough for Barcelona, but he's a huge upgrade at RB.

Danilo Cataldi: Originally someone I wanted to bring on loan, but his scouting report was so good that I was prepared to pay up to €1.5 million. Imagine my surprise when Lazio said they wanted less than 200 grand for such a promising player! There was no question over his €10,000 wages either because we more than had enough firepower to cover those costs. I think he's going to be a real bargain if I can get him to settle in quickly.

Nenad Krstičić: He was simply excess. I was going to keep him around, but when he came to me about feeling insecure about having been replaced, I cut my losses and sent him back to Sampdoria for a few hundred thousand. The wages I got back (€20,000) covered Ayhan's loan and Cataldi's salary.

Panagiotis Kone: A player I wish hadn't been sold. He's got so much going for him across the board with pace, dribbling, creativity and shooting. He's not going to be cheap, but I would like to bring him back once the club is in better financial shape. I think he could do a wonderful job alongside Cataldi as our primary source of creativity in midfield, or even as an inside forward.

                          Federico Bernardeschi:
Some people like heroes. I like villians, especially when they become heroes to the enemy. Bernardeschi used to play for Fiorentina, who are one of Bologna's most hated clubs. I managed to snag him out of there for absolutely no money! Bernardeschi is a player I signed during my career with Lyon, so when I needed a winger on the cheap, I remembered this old bargain. I'm just surprised Fiorentina accepted my bid of €0 after saying they wouldn't ever let him join Bologna. Suckers! Who's laughing now?

                          Maxwel Cornet:
Another player I remember from my Lyon save. He grew to 77 OVR for me with incredible pace and dribbling, but we all know that no two saves are alike. I brought him in on loan to test the waters, but there is an option to buy for €1.5 million at the end of the season if I like what I've seen by then. Let's hope he convinces me to part with that cash!

Thanks for reading. Not sorry for the long post.

Capital One Cup: Eliminated, Round 3 to Man United
FA Cup: Eliminated, Round 4 Replay to Blackburn

Thoughts: Well, March didn't go quite as planned. I knew it was a tough slate of matches but was hoping for at least four or six points from the month. The draw at The Etihad was a great result, but a similar result on Derby Day in Sunderland was disappointing. A top five finish is going to be extremely difficult at this point, but Europe is still a real possibility. Two months to go but April isn't kind. Three matches including away to Liverpool, who are top of the table. Hang on tight!

Really nice video career mode, Moose. I see only two places where you can upgrade in the first team. Dybala seems like he isn't developing despite the 22 goals, so I'd personally move him on and pick up a marquee forward like Marco Reus or Antonio Candreva. Candreva was a monster for me when I played as Chelsea. He scored 26 goals and created 21 assists in 58 games for me one season, including 11 or 12 straight from free kicks. And this was on Legendary with the OS Community Slider set. The other position I would move for is a deep-lying playmaker. Delph and Kouyate look solid, but your team would really go up a level if you got someone like Morgan Schneiderlin or Aaron Ramsey sitting deepest in your midfield. I also highly recommend the 4-3-2-1 for your style of play. Fluctuating between possession and counter-attacking tactics might take you to the next level.
