Sau has continued his good form into November, and Bernardeschi has stepped it up a notch as well. We have two lethal forwards who can do no wrong! It's great to be unbeaten, but realistically we will probably lose at some point. We are going for the league, though. That is the priority over the Europa League and the TIM Cup, though it would be fantastic to do a double or a treble! I knew you guys would understand about the lack of enthusiasm. I'm still loving my Bologna career, and I plan on going on with this until I get FIFA 16, which will probably show up in my mailbox on September 26 or 27. I think that's enough time to finish the current season and do at least one more. But I have a new job starting on the 21st, so I'm not sure I might have a lot of time to devote to FIFA right away.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Yeah we were promoted with 2 games to spare and had a great cup run. I am disappointed that I can't post all the details. So I will just do a quick summary of the season.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Season 1 Review
League
The board wanted the club to gain automatic promotion and we won the league title with time to spare. Reuben Reid and Lewis Alessandra were excellent in the league as they scored a combined 46 goals. Reid, the typical no.9 who is strong and decent in the air, was our and the league's top goalscorer with 25 goals to his name. And Alessandra, who prefers to play as a striker also, scored 21 league goals from mostly out wide in a 4-2-4 formation. Reid's strike partner, Deane Smalley, also chipped in with 9 league goals and also created 7 goals for his team-mates. Also in the front 4 is Jason Banton who scored 4 goals and assisted 8. In midfield we have Bobby Reid, Ollie Norburn, Tyler Harvey, Lee Cox and Ryan Lane. They created and scored 19 goals from midfield. And lastly, in defence we Gethin Jones, Curtis Nelson, Carl McHugh and Ben Purrington. Someone once said, "strikers win you games but defenders win you championships". And that was correct as our defence was very solid.
Cups
We were knocked out early in both the J.Paint Trophy and Capital One Cup. But we had a great run in the FA Cup. We had favorable fixtures that saw us beat Exeter City 2-1, thump Peterbrough 4-0, edge West Brom 1-0 and leave it vs Blackburn to sneak past 1-0. But in the quater-final, we were almost knocked out by Cardiff City as we came back in the last 10 minutes to win 2-1. The semi-final fixtures were; Man Utd vs Liverpool and Spurs vs Plymouth
FA Cup Semi-final
Spurs vs Plymouth
- Spurs, as expected, start the better of the two.
- It seems like Plymouth players are overwhelmed by the occassion.
- 11' Cox crosses but Reid's header is straight at the keeper.
- 17' Chadli heads wide from Walker's cross.
- Spurs dominate the half but can't test Scuffet in goal for Plymouth.
- 0-0 at halftime.
- 52' Plymouth finally turn up as R.Reid and Alessandra combine with a neat 1-2 to release Alessandra but his shot goes inches wide.
- 64' Chadli releases Lamela and his shot is saved by Scuffet
- 73' Alessandra steals the ball from Fazio and is 1-on-1 with Lloris. He shoots and he.... misses. His shot goes inches wide.
- 87' Nelson fouls Soldado at the edge of the box and Eriksen steps up. Will Plymouth rue their missed chance?
- 87' Eriksen lines up the freekick and he shoots. His shot goes over the wall and is saved by Scuffet!!!!
- 0-0 after 90 minuntes
- 104' Alessandra and Banton counter from Spurs' corner. Banton releases Alessandra. Can he finally score? This time... he is denied by Lloris.
- This match will be decide by a penalty shoot-out.
Spoiler- Soldado Saved
Ansah Saved
Chadli Saved
Reid Scores
Lamela Misses
Smalley Scores
Vertonghen Saved
And we have reached the final!!!! We will face Man Utd after they won 4-3 on penalties also.Last edited by Pdice19; 09-09-2015, 09:45 AM.Comment

That's awesome man! I watched it at home it was a great game. Mexico's playing much better under the new coach. Any chance you'll go to the Mexico-USA game in Pasadena next month? I'm planning on going can't wait for the tickets to go on sale.

I don't think so. We decided to go to this one since it was just a 3.5 hour drive away and figured there wouldn't be many chances for something like that again. Plus my wife is Mexican and I am half. Add in seeing the best player in the world and it seemed like an opportunity we couldn't pass up. The USA-Mexico game would be unbelievable though! I hope you end up going!Comment

Hell of a deal for a 3.5 hour drive! The USA-Mexico game is a 4.5 hour drive for me but my girlfriend loves traveling. Plus the drive isn't that bad once you cross to California since the scenery is nice; lots of green.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
My wife is Swedish and once dragged me 9,000 km to Solna (north of Stockholm) to watch her team play England in the first game at the new stadium. I was quite upset because I'm not a huge fan of international football outside the World Cup and India, plus I had my heart set on the beaches of Spain. But watching Zlatan score THIS goal in person made it easier to forgive her for changing our plans at the last minute.

Portsmouth FC
FIFA 15 - Season 5
Pompey's March to the Top
Winter Transfer Window
Transfers Out
CM, Joe Morrell, 71 OVR, 22 yrs old, Wales - £4,000,000 to PSG
CDM, Stuart Bannigan, 68 OVR, 26 yrs old, Scotland - £500,000 to Nottingham Forest
Transfers In
ST, Devante Cole, 74 OVR, 23 yrs old, England - Loan with option to buy for £3,000,000 from Manchester United
Looking to add more pace to the front line, and with an injury plague depleting the striking options, Portsmouth targeted Devante Cole and moved in looking to acquire the player. A loan with an option to buy was worked out and the player will have his chance to prove himself in the Premier League after being stuck on the bench for the likes of both Manchester City and Manchester United. If the club is happy with what they see, the option is for £3,000,000.
CDM, Rohan Ince, 73 OVR, 26 yrs old, England - £1,500,000 from Brighton & Hove Albion
Danny Holla and Daniel Williams have been the main choices at CDM so far this season, leaving a need for a true defensive minded holding player for the midfield. Rohan Ince is the dominating physical presence that was needed and Portsmouth approached their rivals and agreed to a deal that saw the former Chelsea academy player leave for £1,500,000.
LB, Ben Purrington, 73 OVR, 22 yrs old, England - £3,100,000 from Plymouth Argyle
Adding Jonas Heymans was a positive step forward at the left back position at the start of this season, but his injury that should see him sidelined for the majority of the remaining season left a big need in that position with only Blair Adams as cover. Portsmouth looked to another rival and targeted one of the more promising left backs in the lower divisions of England and once the opportunity for Premier League football was on the table, there was no way the player was going to let the opportunity slip away. After some negotiating, a deal for £3,100,000 was agreed to.

POR - Pack 7' (PEN), Cole 25' (PEN), Jamieson IV 79'
MOTM: Bentley
Pack pushed the ball ahead just as the defender slid through him inside of the box and he took the penalty and put it just past the keeper's reach into the top right corner. Cole's pace caused the defense to make a poor challenge and he was taken down in the box. He stepped to the spot and sent the keeper the wrong way and placed the ball into the top left corner for his first goal in a Portsmouth shirt. Pack played the ball through into the left side of the box for Jamieson and he fired a shot past the keeper into the top left corner.

Aguirre found Telfer on the left side of the box and he turned the corner around the defense to blast a shot into the top left corner. After Bentley gathered the ball one of the attackers ran through him while he was on the ground and the referee in one of the most baffling decisions awarded a penalty that was put away by Wall. Çiftçi used his speed and power to get past the defense on the right side of the goal and fire across to the far post to cut the lead in half. Russell's shot was saved by the keeper but he was only able to get a hand on it and knock it down inside the box where Çiftçi was there to knock it into the open net. Çiftçi beat his man down the right side of the box once again and he played the ball square to Jamieson in the middle for the quick tap in. Maguire gave the ball away to Weimann and he played Gil through on the right and he slotted it home to equalize the game. Lowton was played through on the right side of the box and he crossed it over to the far post for Weimann to head into the top left corner to give them a lead going into the second leg.
Portsmouth FC 4 - 0 Norwich City
POR - Cole 23', 79', 89', Telfer 60'
MOTM: Cole
Cole used his pace to get around the right side of the defense and get inside the box to slot it past the keeper on the near post. Cole broke free down the left wing and he sent a low ball into the middle that found Telfer who was able to direct it back inside the near post. Telfer laid off a free kick for Purrington to strike at goal but it bounced off the wall as the keeper dove for it and Cole was able to jump up and head it into the open net. Cole cut the ball inside and fired a shot at goal that was saved out to the right side of the goal where Russell was able to head it back into the net to put the game away and secure a spot in the final.

League Play - 3 wins and a loss this month was a good outcome, and especially the result against Arsenal was huge for us. We are in 4th right now tied with Manchester United and we each sit 3 points back from Liverpool with a game in hand. Overall we are thrilled with our position at the halfway point.
F.A. Cup - A good win against Fulham still using the reserves for the most part. The game was even up until the last 5 mins when we broke it open with two unanswered goals to send us through to the next round. Our next round will be against Millwall. I think we have good chance to advance, but I don't want to overlook any opponent.
Capital One Cup - On to the final! An absolute thriller in the first leg saw us give away the lead and go into the second leg down a goal, although with 3 away goals in tow. On our home field though Villa was no match for us. We dominated them all game and walked away with our spot in the final for the second time in 3 years. This year we won't settle for anything less than the trophy. The final will take place in March and it will be against Stoke City.

Season 1
FA Cup Final
Man Utd vs Plymouth
United were the favourites to win the final but Plymouth's manager told his players that they should leave everything out there as they might not get another chance to lift the famous old trophy.
- Plymouth do what exactly their manager told and go all out to win the game early on.
- 7' Alessandra crosses and his cross is met by Banton at the far-post but his header goes wide
- 17' Rooney's shot from inside the box goes inches wide
- 19' Januzaj shoots straight at Scuffet inside the and his rebound is blocked by Nelson.
- 30' Rooney tries one from distance but it is high and very wide as United now dominate the game.
- 42' Banton's cross meets Alessandra's stretched leg but is straight at De Gea
- It has been an end-to-end first half that has produced no goals.
- 49' Corner for Plymouth. Baton's cross is met by Norburn's head and his attempt goes... inches wide
- 59' Rooney lines up another one from distance but is straight at Scuffet.
- 89' This game is destined for extra-time. But McHugh fouls Rooney near the box.
- 90' Di Maria steps up and he shoots! His shot hits the bar!
- The game goes into extra-time as neither team can find the back of the net.
- 102' Harvey misses a great chance after a great run from midfield. Will he have nightmares about that miss?
- 110' Utd are on the attack and Di Maria releases Falcao. He is 1 on 1 with Scuffet. Can he score? He shoots and his shot is heading towards the top corner. And it hits the bar again!! Could this be Plymouth's day?
- 115' Alessandra's cross is tipped over by De Gea for a corner.
- 115' Baton takes the corner. And Harvey meets the cross at the near post. And his header goes in!!!!!
- 115' 1-0 Plymouth with 5 minutes remaining
- 120' Plymouth concede the corner. And De Gea is in the box as United throw everything at Plymouth.
- 120' Mata takes the corner but it is a disappointing one as it can't beat the 1st man.
- And the ref blows the final whistle!. Plymouth Argyle are the 2014/2015 FA Cup champions!!
Fulltime
Man Utd 0-1 Plymouth
