Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
I'm still here! I'm really loving everyone's careers and the thread has had an injection of new blood! Welcome to the thread by the way!
I've been swamped with work and haven't had much time to do anything FIFA-related. I won't be getting FIFA 16 any time soon unless I come across a whole lot of money to get a PS4 and Fifa 16 bundle :P I look forward to everyone's careers!Current FIFA Careers:

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Guys,I got my FIFA 16 pre-load activated yesterday and played for and hour or so. And yes of course, Career Mode guys !!!
SpoilerIt feels good to see dedicated changes for the mode we all love. I started a test manager career with West Brom(in memoir of Baggies being my last team from FIFA 15) with 1st transfer window open. I received three invites to preseason tournaments - and accepted one of Champions Trophy from Netherlands. I am grouped with Ajax,Hull City and Levante in group stage. Other teams are like Montpellier,Atlanta,Sampdoria and Feyenoord. I have won the first two matches comfortably beating Ajax 2-0 and Hull City 3-0 till now.It really feels great with these pre-season tournaments as you get to play teams who you may never would have played other wise, missing out on experiencing different crowd cultures and stadiums.
The gameplay is amazing this time. I noticed that this is the 10th year, since I started playing FIFA and over the years the gameplay has shown gradual and drastic improvement. The things I noticed and liked till now about gameplay in this edition are - slow pace of game helping build up play as tiki taka or counter attack or long balls, all equally positively; crossing has been markedly been improved and melees and jostling during corners is more resulting in rebounds, deflections and more goals;midfield is more challenging mostly due to pinged passes and through balls coupled with more interceptions; defenders are throwing bodies on the line more effectively causing forwards trouble; and the sweet strike, if happens, really feels sweet. I scored two of these- first one a sweet one touch long distance strike from Rickie Lambert and the other a back volleyish drag shot from corner by Darren Fletcher (if SAF would have seen that shot, my bet is Darren would still be a Red Devil).
The GTN is looking familiar for what I have seen till now- one change being that in mails from scouts, they give special mention to three players found from area scouting from set instructions- these players being ones to look out for as per the scouts(includes both youngsters and established players). This is a nice touch- feels like more ownership from the scouts.
And last but not the least is much talked about player training. This is an excellent addition. Simply put, in a week you select 5 players, set each a drill based on improvements you seek from available set of drills for each position - you can take note of suggested drills also. Then you can go ahead and simulate all drills or chose to play yourself one or all drills. My bet is try a few drills once a while - in themselves they are awesome games with multiple players involved- feels like a real training session we see players involved in. Once you move to next week, you can set new drills for new players or chose to reload earlier session.
This player training along with preseason tournaments is a real boost and happy factors for career mode.
I will be trying more of it today and post further updates later.

Nice! Thanks for the quick overview of FIFA 16 career mode. Sounds like it's nothing but positive changes so far! I'm anxious to get my hands on a copy. I'm watching a Guadalajara match right now but as soon as the ref ends it I'm going on an adventure to find my very own FIFA 16. Hope it's not sold out everywhere and hopefully it has the cover I want. If not, I'll have to wait longer to get it
Ah, here it is, FIFA 16.
SpoilerWait, I am being rude, sorry lads! I know what you are thinking "*** **** Cruzerr is never here and now pops out of nowhere!" I guess you can atleast be happy that now Simppu can talk about Soviet world dominance and ChicoBass can talk about Star Wars (haha, good lad!).
Anyway, kinda like Rabbit (I guess?), I have been stalking this forum, just times have been tricky, really tricky. Life gives you all kinds of obstacles, and currently, I don't have everything worked out. I like it how I write this as Tex posts his new FIFA 16 career mode with Portsmouth, haha. (You must love it that Fratton Park is in the game!)
So wait, what ARE you doing here Cruzerr? - Well, to be honest, I just miss posting my own CM haha, and posting in general. I haven't got FIFA 16 and won't get it anytime soon, however, I am working on things and if they go for the better, I will return with a bang. The worst part is that I have already made preperations for the CM and just kills me that I can't post yet.
However, I will still sneak around and tell you guys to pipe it down when needed. When will I post? Not sure, I am waiting, living, doing stuff. Just wait for it.
Untill then, Papa Cruzerr is keeping an eye on you, take care.
Sooooo what you're saying is, you'll still be here but only post to get people back in line? Damn, we got a supervisor here now folks. Or more like a Human Resources representative so be careful with what you say gents!!
Yep this is you now Cruzerr. Know who that is? That is Buzz Killington and every time you come in here to silence our Star Wars talk that is who you'll remind me of. Hahahaha jk I'm just messing around. In all seriousness hope your life takes a turn for the better soon. Looking forward to seeing you post career modes again! At least you haven't completely abandoned us. You and I are kind of the same right now. We're both not posting careers but we're silently stalking the forum in the shadows. The only difference is that while you only post to remind us this is a FIFA forum, I post only to get people off topic hahaha. It's like you and I bring balance to --- wait no never mind. I'll keep the Star Wars reference out :P

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
FIFA 16 Career Mode - My First Impressions - Continued.../ Part 2
The game continues to reveal new things to me as the fleeting West Brom adventure continues.
Lets go over the matches played till now and relevant gameplay aspects from them first. While competing in the pre-seasons Champions Trophy, I lost in the semi-finals against Feyenoord by a solitary goal scored from direct free kick towards the closing stages. Even then I ended up with additional funds for qualifying from group phase and playing the semi-finals. Next up was season opener against City - where I lost to a solitary penalty goal by Aguero. Nice crisp game, where I was bothered but could hold my lines to avoid a humiliation. Next was a drab nil draw played out against Watford. Pressure was rising when things started to reveal themselves. The match against Chelsea we played in Attack like Barca and Defended like an old school Italian team. The result was a staggering 90% pass accuracy with 4 shots on target of 4 shots attempted and 1 goal to win the match 1-0. Chelsea had NO shots in the match- not a single shot. The star of the show was Chris Brunt while goal was scored by Rondon (Berahinho out for 2 months from last match with a broken shoulder). This form was continued against Stoke City where we rattled the crossbar and posts 5 times before scoring the winner- My GOAL of FIFA 16 till date - a no look back heel from Rondon once again. Though man of the match was Darren Fletcher for his industrious display in mid-field. The chances created, scrambles in the box, rebounds of posts, crossing into the box- all seem very very natural this year compared to earlier versions. Also the players tiring are indicated by blinking cursors above their head prompting substitution, which if ignored result in various types of injuries.
The free kicks are being marked by vanishing spray- a small but very nice touch. And yes, the Goal line technology is being featured more prominently this time round being kicked off last year when it was visible rarely. this time if such a situation comes to use goal line technology to decide goal or no goal, you can go ahead and see that once more in the new end game highlights sections which stores specific moments from game - another very good modification. Also the good old offside marking lines are back during off side replays !!!
The transfer market is quite unchanged other than 2 year loan option.I got for West Brom Luis Muriel (Striker) for £ 6 Millions from Sampdoria , Robert Snodgrass (Midfielder) from Hull City for £ 3.5 millions and Lowe (Left back) from Kaiserslautern for £ 3 millions. But one point drew my attention - the big deals were fine tuned as claimed and discussed during in-game commentary, but moreover the teams not only bought First teamers but also young prospects as well. And by teams I say teams like Manchester United,City etc. Also some teams chose to refrain from any transfers- any guesses? Yes, Arsenal. And yes some teams going frantic and spending big finally on deadline day - Yes, Chelsea buying Jerome Boateng from Bayern Munich- yet again in FIFA 16 also
.Some other big transfers noted were - David Alaba from Bayern Munich to Juventus;Javier Pastore from PSG to Atletico Madrid and Anthony Lacazzette moving on deadline day from Lyon to Manchester United (What's with United this time with French players- Martial,Schneiderlin and now this- Where's Wenger !!!
)
The training is showing good results with increasing stats and transfer values for young players.I have just started youth academy by hiring a scout and sending across for a 3 month trip in and around UK itself. One thing- the youth scout is available as soon as hired- no delay of 1 or 2 days like previous editions.
I am continued to being impressed by FIFA 16 and hope to find a a few more distinct pointers before I close my this thread on "FIFA 16 First Impressions".Last edited by Blu_de_Kol; 09-24-2015, 09:24 AM._______________________________________________

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Hi Guys
I didn't post a lot towards the end of FIFA 15 as life kinda got in the way, I say life it was more Metal Gear got in the way but it's that time of year again, FIFA time.
For my first career I will be going the same way as I have started every career since FIFA 2004 with my beloved West Ham and what a squad we have this season which should make this career even better for me.
I'll be posting my first update at some point later todayComment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
FIFA 16 Career Mode - West Ham
Premier League side West Ham United have appointed a new manager after the departure of Sam Allardyce at the end of last season. After an awful run towards the end of last season club owners David Gold and David Sullivan felt it was best to appoint a new manager to inject a new life into the team. The released this statement "We would like to thank Sam for everyone he has done for this football club, guiding us out of the Championship first time of asking as well as building the side into a solid mid table team but we felt he took the club as far as he could and we are now looking to take the team that one step further and hopefully have a season to remember at Upton Park's final year. We wish Sam all the best in the future".
New manager LukeWhu94 is a young manager who is looking to bring fresh ideas to the table and is hoping to build on the 12th place finish the side achieved last year and with some impressive dealings in the window, he is confident that he can achieve this. It is a shock to see West Ham appoint such a rookie manager and are taking a huge gamble going into the new stadium but are listening to the demand from the fans and are hoping to see the return of the West Ham Way.
Press Conference
Q:I would first like to start by congratulating you on becoming the new manager of West Ham, sum up how you feel right now?
A: Thank You, It is an honour to be at this huge football club and honestly it hasn't quite sunk in yet. I remember coming to watch the team as a kid with my dad and now to be manager of the club, it's surreal. I would like to thank the owners for giving my this opportunity and I can assure them that I will give 100% to ensure that this club moves in the right direction ahead of the move to the Olympic Stadium. I watched the side a lot last season and for the first half of it we played some amazing football and for the first time in a long time there was real optimism around the club and I want to return that feeling to the fans. I know there has been a lot of talk about "the west ham way" and I can reassure the fans that we will be playing free flowing football on the floor, bringing the excitement back to Upton Park for it's last year and hopefully making it a season to remember for the fans.
Q: Have you set yourself a any aims for the upcoming Barclays Premier League Season as well as the Domestic Cup Competitions?
A: First off, the most important thing is that we remaing in the division ahead of the move to the new stadium but being totally honest, I'm not even thinking about relegation. Before I came, I saw rumours that we were one of the favourites for the drop which I find to be ridiculous. The aims the myself and the board have set is a high mid table finish, possibly a challenge for the Europa League. We know it is going to be tough but is an aim that we feel can be realistically achieved. It will be one of the most challenging Barclays Premier League seasons due to the amount of money being thrown around by everyone, but is a fight we are ready for. In terms of the cup, we are hoping to go on a nice cup run like every team in the division, but at the end of the day 90% of the competition comes down to the luck of the draw. I will be taking the competition seriously though and we be playing strengthened sides throughout.
Q: How do you feel about the clubs signings and how do you think they can adapt to the Barclays Premier League?
A: I would like to thank the board for once again backing the club in the transfer window and I think this is one of the best transfers windows the club has had in recent years. The marquee signing of the window for us was Dimitri Payet who is a player we are delighted to have been able to bring to the club. This shows how far the club has come, when we are able to attract a player of Dimitri's calibre, it's amazing. He is like a little magician of the pitch, he can do things no other players can do and will be an instant hit with the fans. He can be as important to us as Silva is to city or Hazard is to Chelsea. I am looking forward to working with him in trainings. We were fortunate enough to be able to bring back Carl Jenkinson and Alex Song for second loan spells with the club. I am delighted to have bought back these 2 players to the club and they were instrumental to the clubs success in the early parts of last season and I hope to get them playing that level of football again this season. We also signed to wingers Victor Moses on loan from Chelsea and Michail Antonio from Nottingham Forest and these are two players are can not speak highly enough of. They are two pacey, skillful wingers who will bring not only assists to the team but are also capable of chipping in with goals as well and i'm sure our strikers our going to thrive in a team with this much pace and creativity. We have been in need of a centre back for a few years now after only having 3 for the large parts of the last 3 seasons so when a player of Angelo Ogbonna's abiliy becomes avaliable, you do everything you can to bring him in and thankfully we were able to do that. Another player that we are sure the fans are going to love is the signing of a player they call "the jewel", Manuel Lanzini. He will bring that south american flair to the team and is a player capable of changing a game at any time and i'm sure he can adjust to the Premier League like fellow compartriots Aguero and former West Ham favourite Carlos Tevez.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Officially picking up the game this weekend! Cannot wait to get going, but probably won't immerse myself in my official Career Mode for another week or so.
That said, you can still vote for who should be the manager of my Newcastle CM! Tight race right now.

8’ Özil 1 – 0
13’ Carvalho 2 – 0
43’ Enner Valencia 2 – 1

Arsenal played very good football in the first half, but slacked off towards the end. The second half was bad from both sides, in which Caroll scored a header in the 83th minute.
Crystal Palace 0 – 3 Arsenal
65’ Icardi 0 – 1
86’ Icardi 0 – 2
90+’ Oxlade 0 – 3
Match Report:
Arsenal dominated the game, which is shown in the result. It took some time to break Palace down, but eventually new signing Icardi scored a brace to give Arsenal the first 3 points.
Arsenal 0 – 0 Liverpool
Match Report:
Very dull game. Both sides were toothless. Benteke was unreachable. Giroud was invisible.

Simulated
Newcastle united 0 – 1 Arsenal
21’ Walcott 0 – 1
43’ Icardi red card
Match Report:
We played good football away from home, and I’m happy with this result. Could’ve been better, but seeing as how we were playing with 10 men for 50 minutes makes me a satisfied man.
Arsenal 1 – 1 Stoke City
42’ Giroud 1 – 0
57’ Diouf 1 – 1
Match Report:
This is a bad result. Stoke was nowhere near our level this game. We dominated and they scored from a counter attack. This is very bad for us, but we need to move on quickly.
Arsenal 1 – 3 Bayern Munich (Champion’s League group stage)
45’ Muller 0 – 1
60’ Muller 0 – 2
84’ Walcott 1 – 2
90+’ Koscielny red card
90+’ Alaba 1 – 3 (Penalty Kick)
Match Report:
This was a result that could’ve been predicted. Bayern Munich has one of the best squads in the world, and they completely dominated us in our home stadium. We need to analyse what went wrong and build on that.
So that's that. Not the best of starts, but I'll make sure to improve my game. I'm still getting used to Fifa 16, though. We'll pick up better results eventually.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned!

Hello everyone, its been a while since I posted here but since the new Fifa has come out I've been itching to start a new long term career mode and thought I would share it here again. Similar to last year I will be using Luton Town as they are the closet team to my hometown. Anyway to the career!

While Luton have a good first team they are slightly lacking when it comes to pace and especially on the wing where most would argue is where you need it the most. So I brought in Some new pace and also added a bit more stability up front with the addiction of Washington who also has great stamina. In the lower leagues you play so many games and having a big squad that can keep up is very important. You can also see that I brought in two CAM's but that is because Teixeira gets a three month injury during the first few games of the season and I need extra backup till he gets back. There are a lot more players which I plan on selling and buying but since they are new to Luton or their own clubs I have to wait till January.

Conclusion:
I'm still playing with the settings and getting use to Fifa 16 but I am planning on upping the difficulty for the next update because I feel to many results went my way these two months. Its been a while since I last uploaded and I'm a bit rusty and probably forgotten or messed up a few things so any feedback or advice would help a lot <3
